| Where was this place? Two would arrive in a world much different than where they were born and raised. One, being a young man who held the potential of the Wild Card. He would be dressed in the robes of a prisoner, with shackles that ran upon his wrists and ankles. The other, a young woman who also held such potential. She would be robed in that of the garbs of a Royal Guard. It was not so much different than that of the Nameless Woman's attire, save for the black motive instead of her own frosty white.
The two had very diverse backgrounds, yet their powers were similar. Powers given to them by their predecessors they had never met. Though they both arrived in this world, neither of the two could see the other's distinct appearances. They could feel one like themselves were near, but like a shadow in the corner of the eye, could not see them all too clearly. Perhaps it was this strange world that did this. Or perhaps it was their own abilities?
The area they were in was vast. It was scorched red through the Earth beneath their feet, yet still held a large monument before them. Though they had never seen it with their own eyes, it was almost as if instinct that they'd know exactly what it was. The Terminal that caused the tragedy years ago. That very Terminal that their predecessors fought before was now before their eyes. Yet, they were in no lab where it was originally created. Perhaps this was the other side? The side one would have come out if they were to brave the black abyss of the large device.
A shady figure loomed before the Terminal. It was of a Man, or perhaps a Woman. It was impossible to tell their distinct shape, as if some sort of force was constantly diverting their eyes to the truth of what was before them.
"Welcome. My name is Lou Siffer. The world you are currently standing within is called The Atziluth. A plane of existence where Demons live and gather. Five years ago, your world was introduced to this scorched land, and demons breached it, forever changing the state of your realm." The voice of the individual continued to switch between that of a young man and older woman. They spoke of the world as if they knew it well. As they should, considering this was the land they ruled once falling from His grace. The mysterious individual looked out upon the scorched lands before turning back to look at the two before him.
"One shackled by the world's perception of what they should become. The other leading a life chosen for them by another. I once spoke to both of the previous Wild Cards who held the powers you both have now. One before the Eternal Divide, and the other, after. I ask you both what I asked them: Is it sin to crave a world of your desire, even if it causes pain and agony to others?"

| Shiina awoke to her senses with a clear gasp, and held her head as she came to fully. The Tsurinai's blue eyes narrowed into thin slits as she looked frantically around herself. Nothing she knew. Nothing she had learned about from her training. What was this? She didn't know how to answer this question. The only thing that the Cadet recognized was the Terminal, which immediately stuck out not only as the only discernible man-made object in the immediate vicinity, but also because of the fact that the knowledge of its appearance and current existence was forced into her mind instinctively. She knew what it was, but clearly also knew she should have had no knowledge of the thing.
The Tsurinai glared at the figure, though she was distracted by another one, right out of the corner of her eye. However she glanced, though, Shiina was perplexed as the person, being, whatever it was, always escaped her sight. What was happening..? As a matter of fact, what was with her outfit? This wasn't what she was just wearing moments prior... Shiina almost told herself it was a dream, but that would be foolishness. That's why she returned to her glare.//"..."// The Wild Card made no comments as the being spoke their part. She listened, and slowly eased her posture into a tense pose, with her arms crossed over each other. The Atziluth? So, this was the demon's home world. Shiina's glare turned into a scowl of disgust as she grit her teeth. Just the thought of standing in this world repulsed her. And to add the cherry on top of the cake, this person, Lou Siffer, had to ask them a question...
//"..."// She stayed quiet for a few moments longer. //"I struggle to think of a reason to amuse you, but I suppose I have no choice but to answer, seeing as you claim to know so much of... us."// Shiina's lips trembled slightly. Us. She knew for sure there was someone else here, so why could she not see them fully? //"What is a sin and what is not is dictated by those with power over law. That desire, however... is a selfish, foolish reality. If a world of your desire casts pain and suffering onto others, then it is a desire to be discarded. To protect and serve is my duty, and any who would bring harm upon others will meet the end of my knife. For that reason alone, it is a sin."// Shiina held the utmost love and devotion to her people, so her convictions would not give here. She had sworn her life to Endymion... and despite not fully accepting of the Queen, her personal apprehensions were nothing when compared to the task she set out to accomplish. She would serve her city with absolute loyalty.//"Foregoing others for your own gains... what an insane notion. Our world will change by my hands, but it will be for everyone's desires, not simply my own."//

| /Shackles.../ It was the heavy burden of shackles upon his wrists and ankles that shook Frog awake. Or rather, shook him to this other reality. At first, as he opened his eyes, he wasn't sure what to think. It was funny, in the initial moments of blurry confusion, Frog hadn't even registered the horizon around him as strange or unknown. The first thought that jumped to his mind upon opening his eyes was how that huge black cube seemed to painfully stick out of it. A cube he somehow knew the purpose of... It didn't seem wrong that he knew. No, it seemed perfectly believable and correct. Everything was right. Another joyful jest of his pathetic human brain.
There were two other objects that stood out. One of them, though smaller and familiar in its humanoid form, the figure radiated a much stronger presence than the cube. And when it spoke, the voices that reached Frog's ear were nothing but radiating. But not in a good way. He couldn't escape it. His shackles bound him. he couldn't even stand up properly. All he could do was endure the unease this cacophonycal voice of this... Lou Siffer, induced in every tuned cell in his body.
When it, or rather... Was it even a he? When Lou stopped, Frog's bravado returned. "Hey, what do you mean... One shackled by- Huh?" Frog raised his head to look in the direction of the other voice.
Remember when it was mentioned how there were two objects other than the cube that stood out? Well... the other was a mere shadow in Frog's peripheral, constantly evading his sight. It made him wonder whether it was even real, since he couldn't even see it properly. But now that he heard it talking, Frog was certain it was real. But as much as he strained himself to look at it, he couldn't. The same went for Lou, though with Lou it was different. Lou still had a heavy presence to him, or it, while the other did not. It was easier to dismiss the movement in the corner of one's eye than an actual silhuette in front of them.
This shadow in his peripheral however unimportant it seemed at first, totally took over the whole situation by speaking up first, which Frog did not really like. He gave the other a toxic glare for a moment, pure daggers. "Thanks for cutting me off mid-sentence, hmpf, whoever you are." Frog gave a small chuckle though, as a remark to the content of this person's words. Seemed to be words from some brainwashed government individual. One of the 'normies' who stood by without taking a stand against the system. Carefree people who died as soon as their heads were smashed. Pathetic. But, what was even more pathetic... And it dawned to Frog as he thought about this all, was what Lou had said. "Yeah right. Have fun with that outlook on life, hah-!" He said to the shadow before returning his gaze to Lou. It was funny, Frog trying to look tough when he was bound by these shackles and whatnot. Geez, what was up with chains and these people..? Like, he already had that dream where he was in shackles like these. And seriously, prison wardrobe was stinkingly uninterestingly shitty. He'd rather wear anything else right now. It felt so sickeningly dirty against his skin, ugh, even though it wasn't. The mere thought induced the reaction, and there was no helping it anymore. "And you, you whatever you are!" Frog continued, referring to Lou now. "What did you mean by One shackled by the world's perception of what they should become? Huh? Like, I can be who I wanna be now-! No matter what, so don't go around telling such things in my face, when you haven't even seen what I can do with my power now, ahaha! Like, this all has to do with that, doesn't it? The Divide and all this Wild Card crap? Because like, I saw a card when I got that super duper Persona thing to fight for me, so it makes sense to connect it with some term as the Wild Card. A-anyways-! I don't have a clue of what I wanna do now, but I damn well am not gonna shy away from sacrificing others standing in my way, haha! It'd be pathetic if I lost an opportunity now that I can take it for myself so easily!"

". . ." The hooded individual was rather quiet. The answers came, and s/he nodded and chuckled beneath their breath. Their attention turned first to the young woman who spoke of order. To protect and serve. However, who was she truly protecting and who was she truly serving? She was the perfect soldier. One who followed their orders without questioning why they were following to begin with. Though she wore no shackles, perhaps she were the true prisoner between the two. Though, she wished to change the world by her hands. How far would one go to achieve such a goal while living under the burden of law? The hooded figured pondered this to himself.
Their attention shifted over to the young man in shackles. As the figure said before, he was one shackled by the expectations society had laid out for him. Shackles but others perception of what he should become, and how he should act regardless of his own true opinion. Lou Siffer listened to the young man's words in complete silence. It was unknown if he, or she, were pleased or simply content with what was said. But there was one thing certain. There was a scent on both of them that was all too familiar.
Yomi's essence came from that of... Shiina.
And Rei's essence came from that of... Phillip.
"Your predecessors gave similar answers. They were opposites, so naturally they were to come to opposition. Rei wished for a world of madness and freedom. She relished in her own strength and sought to be the most 'special'. Her plan was to release the demons into your world and cause a complete collapse of power. And with these demons, she would use their influence to make the world just as 'insane' as herself. This plan of hers cost the lives of many people before she met Yomi, a soldier of order, before the Terminal." Visions of the event played through their skulls. Almost as if they were there themselves, watching the scene, the two would find themselves standing before the terminal and baring witness to those called "Yomi" and the other "Rei".
"Yomi fought to stop the demons from coming into this world. Rei fought to release them. Two opposing ideals clashed before this very Terminal. One of law and the other of chaos. This has been an ongoing war. Whether it be from Philemon and Nyarlathotep, to The Great Will and The Morning Star, there will always be a focal point of Law and Chaos: Order and Anarchy." The being spoke as the visions within their heads became a blur. One second they were there, and the next, gone. "With the help of another, Yomi was able to successfully defeat Rei in combat. However, Rei's power had already began to run rampant. Thus, the explanation for the green explosion you all saw that night, and the appearance of demons. The situation would have been much worse for humans if it weren't for Yomi's sacrifice." The hooded figure would turn to look towards the monument that towered behind. "Using her forbidden skill, she looked to cleanse this world of the Demons and the Sin they brought along with them. However, she underestimated the power of demons, and over estimated her own abilities as a Wild Card. She attempted to eradicate all the demons that made it through the terminal and looked to take their sin upon herself to save others from falling into the same depravity Rei had tasted upon her lips. That sin was too much for one human to bear."
"She lost herself to sin, and a part of her soul was taken by that depravity. The Yomi one knew before was gone. Vanished upon the deactivation of the Terminal.." The being was silent as the scenery began to blur for the two. It would appear the world they resided in was calling them back. However they remained, if for alittle longer.

| Shiina scowled but didn't attempt to turn towards the other voice. She simply scoffed and held her head high with pride. She knew her path was the right one, the path to achieve the justice she sought. If it meant bowing her knee to another in order to gain what she wanted, then that's what she would do. Shiina was a Tsurinai, the rightful protector of the people, and as such, this position was the most well-suited for her. Did she know she was most likely blinding herself? Perhaps, but she didn't quite care.
//"I don't recall there being a turn for each of us to speak. Perhaps you should have waited longer and confirmed that I wouldn't go first."// The Cadet grit her teeth, and narrowed her eyes at the other's words. That speech... it was the eloquent madness of those she despised with all her heart. A selfish, evil terrorist who knew nothing of the world but chaos. He was one of those she swore to capture and bring to justice, for the sake of her loved city's order.
That's why a dark chuckle came from her lips.//"The mad dream of a terrorist who gained a power he isn't deserving of... I will enjoy tearing it apart at its seams with my own version of said power. You called it... the Wild Card? Very well, then. Consider the challenge proposed, Psyche Terrorist. If you wish to sacrifice others to achieve your desired world, then you will have to step through my corpse first. I will do everything in my power to save this city from you."// She went quiet as she felt another presence come from her. Her predecessor? The Tsurinai's eyes widened upon the shift in scenery, and she found herself standing on Yomi's side as if her body moved on its own. Shiina glared daggers into Rei's figure during the very brief vision, but didn't comment otherwise, only observing what Lou Siffer was doing, and hearing what s/he was saying...
//"Yomi... though I did not come to meet her face to face, I vow on my duty as a Cadet that I will do all in my power to put your soul to rest, if such a thing is possible."// She wouldn't pay attention to whatever else was happening, as her posture eased into a kind of praying stance. Shiina wrapped her hands together and let a moment of silence pass by for herself, in condolences for the previous Wild Card's demise. Her predecessor, Yomi, was someone close to her, no? This power that she held... was it the same as hers?
//"Successor of Rei."// The Cadet addressed the Psyche Terrorist directly. //"If we must battle, I implore you to gain strength and fight me at your most powerful. If your ideal world is the right one, then you'll defeat me. If it isn't, then I'll strike you down and achieve my own. It's about time we returned to our world, however."// She grinned, and raised a pocket watch to her chest, hanging by a golden chain. //"Order and Chaos... Shikata ga naidesu."//
//"It was always an inevitability."//

| Why was everyone so content on ruining everything Frog ever dared say? Like seriously, first this shadow... or like, it was probably a person, had to go act high and mighty on his small upsetance, but then Lou had to not react to his words in any significant way or manner! It honestly felt like it wasn't even impressed! And why would it be, since it apparently heard the same answers years ago from these Yomi and Rei. Both the shadow's and Lou's speeches made Frog's pale in comparison, and it was seriously bugging him.
A few nervous droplets of sweat emerged on Frog's forehead as a result. The nervousness that was immediately translated into some form of anger. "It's gotta be real fun talking down like that when I can't even get up, ha!?" He retorted. Stupidly, as he couldn't think of an argument. "You say you're gonna tear my power apart, but I ain't gonna let you! I'll tear you apart! And don't talk like I'm some sort of a plague, sheesh! If anything, I can at least see who's the real idiot here!"
Their little one-sided argument was cut short, however, by the vision that emerged in their minds. Frog found himself, standing by this Rei girl... "Heh." He chuckled to himself as he noticed her hair color. And the Yomi girl's skimpy outfit. Whoever the shadow was, hope they were enjoying themselves watching this predecesor of theirs in such a display. Rei at least had some semblance of self-dignity, apparently.
The vision ended, but Lou kept talking in that eerie voice of his, hers, its. And what Frog heard coupled with that anger from earlier pinnacled into a laugh he gave, blatantly spitting straight over both the memories of the two girls and the meaningless promise the other person here was apparently giving to Yomi. "Haha, pathetic, right? I mean like, demons and all that are pretty shit, so like, Rei was stupid, but this Yomi girl is just priceless, haha! Sacrificing herself to banish all the demons, then failing to not only do that but also failing to die properly! Haha! I only hope whatever turned up out of her won't be as stupid as to side with you control freaks."
Frog turned to Lou for a moment again. "And you. This ain't about being 'special' or anything! I'm not gonna be as pathetic as that Rei and get defeated. So don't put me in the same batch with any of them!" He pouted and returned his gaze... Well, at least tried to divert it back over to the presence."All right then... Successor of Yomi. I may not be good at card games, but I'll be damned if I let you witness anything less than the full power of a Wild Card on my account!!! I'm not only gonna blow your ass up into smitherens when we do clash, but I'm also gonna break down any semblance of that pathetic world you're talking so mighty of creating 'with your own hands', yada yada! Order itself is Chaos in its core, so consider this little debate over before it's even began! For now, though. Yes, let's return. Don't wanna waste any minute anymore, hmph, I'm gonna do this and prove you all who's the best! And besides, I still gotta make lunch for today, hahaha-!"
