Subject: Another Evening -- Aya Reiji Kyokudou's Awakening Tue Jun 21, 2016 2:02 pm
----------
Night falls and so does the dew in the coming hours. It was another mundane transition in time for many. What meaning it had to its observers had its own diverse interpretations. But there was a shared consensus within Endymion that the night was fraught with danger despite the over watch of its beloved savior. There was one woman who roamed about these parts tonight. Whether it was to enjoy the evening attractions or to merely tramp about in aimless wander, only she knew the reason for her presence here.
What was she here for?

As the moon rose, Aya found herself roaming the streets of Little Tokyo. She herself was reminded of her time back when she lived in Japan with her family, but it was a nostalgic sentiment best left forgotten. To Reiji, it was nothing more than a nice-looking part of town. Kyokudou began to walk down the less crowded streets, which weren't too hard to find if you just went in the direction that the festival wasn't happening. Everyone was out having fun, drinking, hooking up. The place seemed like a great idea for Aya to cash in on whatever could be found there, but for some reason she didn't feel like it. It's just not what she was looking for the evening. It wasn't time for the meeting that she was told about just yet, but it was the turn of the evening, so time was running out. She thought she might have had some luck if she tried to run around pissing some Demons off, but the damn things were too hard to spot. You could only see the ones that wanted to be seen or could be seen. It pissed her off to the point where she was pulling at her hair, leaving it as disheveled as it's always been.
"F.......M....I ha...."
Reiji pulled out her knife, and started to drag it across the back of a building as she walked for a minute or two, before putting it at her side. Blegh, was she gonna miss out on something exciting? What was she doing wrong? Was Kyokudou lied to, or was she too foolish to understand something? Either way, she was pissed off, and nothing in Aya's mind could make her calm down.

The night's daily festivities were lively as each other evening. But the path that the young woman took was a relatively quiet one. The sound of voices and the noises of bustling activity gradually died down the more she would meander through the path. Not a sane person who valued their lives would ever want to meet a demon. The embodiment of calamity was indeed something to be avoided. Yet, like a cat, she allowed curiosity to dictate her fate. It was an offer that seemed too juicy to not agree to.
"▅▅▅▅▅... ▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅... ▅▅▅▅▅▅▅..."
Was that a whisper? Aya, with the growing lack of noise, would be able to hear this. It came from a darkened alley to her near right ahead of her. Would she wonder what it was and allow her curiosity to guide her even further? If she did, would she end up like what a cat would? There was a certain limit as to her own abilities was capable of. It would certainly be wise to ignore and call it a night. Sometimes it was best to retain one's sanity above all else.
Will she enter?

Aya nearly grinded to a halt and looked in the direction of the strange noise. Now what was that? She reached at her stomach with her free hand and found she was hungry. Was she actually starting to lose it because of that? No right, she did eat today she thought...she stared down at the darkness up ahead, and walked down it without any hesitation. She kept her knife in hand in case there was trouble, but when something made a weird noise, you don't just ignore it. Or rather, you don't ignore it if you are basically a psycho. The woman was no coward, and she certainly wasn't going to back out of it now, even if it was danger. Perhaps it would be something fun and exciting. After all, who would be out in the dark alleys in the middle of a festival where all the action could happen?
Her knife gripped tightly in her hand, she'd begin to grate on the wall. If it turned out to be a person, they'd definitely know Aya was there. And Reiji herself wanted a little excitement. Maybe a nice fat wallet or screwing with someone would make it more interesting. Either way, the sound echoed to the strange noise she heard as she walked at a faster pace towards the source of whatever decided to disturb the quiet of the night...

Courageous, yet foolhardy this Aya Reiji Kyokudou was. So unlike her mother, and yet so much like her father. For a momentary thrill, this woman was willing to dive deep into a situation that threatened her life. Down the alley that she finally took, it was remarkably dim. Yet the moonlight served as adequate lighting for her. After all, she had lived on her own without a roof over head. But the time spent being homeless and independent would never prepare her for what came next.
The reeking smell of iron would tickle her nostrils. A black mass hunched over a corpse with its entrails spewing out of its now gaping abdominal cavity. Aya likely wouldn't be able to comprehend what she was seeing. This creature was dark as the night, as if obscuring its true form. If there was a time to panic, it would be now.
Yet, there was a slight ache in her head. Or rather, a whisper that was slowly growing louder and louder. The kernel of insanity inside her head would begin to grow and bloom to reach its full potential. A flash of soft blue light would summon her innermost ego to manifest in this realm. Soon, she would look upon it and would notice the shadow's true appearance.
Meanwhile, unknown to the newly awakened Persona User, someone was watching with a slight smirk on his face.
You have now awakened. Please allocate your distribution points and feel free to allow your Persona to manifest now.

As she walked down the alley, the stench grew more extreme, which didn't bother her at first. She had lived around horrid scents her whole life, why should this stop her now? That being said, even she stopped slightly in her pursuit as she caught the Demon currently munching on a body. She looked towards the monster, and felt something encroach on her mind. She wanted to tangle with one of these types, but something harsh was keeping her head foggy and unresponsive. As soon as it did, chains began to appear around her wrists and ankles, symbolizing the strange mental constriction the government tried to keep on her. She could hear words, but not understand them as it clawed at the submissive parts of her mind. She clutched her head with one hand, and shouted at the Demon. "Fuck....off and die!" She'd walk a few steps towards the Demon as she hurled her knife towards the Demon as best as she could. Even she knew it probably wouldn't work; but whatever she had she had to try. After all, she never quit even when it seemed hopeless. She never backed down from a threat. She learned what horrid behavior was like in this world and what it did to you if you sat down and took it. Her eyes grew golden as she stared at the Demon, breathing so heavily you'd think she might have nearly suffocated. Perhaps in any other scenario it could have worked; where the Demon would try to control Aya. But there existed a single yet catastrophic factor that ruined the Demon's scheme.
Aya had no submissive part in her brain...
With one swift movement, she pulled her arms aside, and her chains would crack decisively, burning into an azure flame along with the chains over her ankles. The flame around her would keep growing, and growing to where it nearly covered her yet did not burn her body. It did however mark her clothing, as the flame licked it, and burned holes in it. Some holes formed out of nowhere, and her body appeared to look bruised and scarred like she had suffered an unimaginable beating. As the flame grew hotter, her hair began to change color into a strange shade of green that felt almost at home within Reiji's heart. Along with it, strange markings appeared on her face, and her skin appeared to ripple as a mask surfaced from it like her skin was water.
Meanwhile, from the flame, a strange woman walked out wielding two blades of conflicting fighting styles, and a blindfold over her eyes. This strength she suddenly felt. Kyokudou's mind felt freed by the strange words from the Demon, and her new power; her Persona was a symbol of it now. This was what she wanted. Nothing could stop her now! Under her mask, she giggled with a low voice and licked her lips.

As Aya has finally awakened to her potential, she would soon hear footsteps coming from behind her followed by clapping. From the dim shadows of the night, a man appeared. While at first she wouldn't be able to discern his appearance, an azure splash of light illuminated his appearance. He was masked, almost like her, to hide his very identity.
Before she could react, already the newcomer threw her a gun and a cluster of shells for her to catch to use. He drew out a blade which soon extended into a whip-like object. This man must've appeared dangerous, especially with the Persona near him. But he pointed the weapon towards the demon. "I'm willing to answer some questions. But I'm afraid we can't keep our little friend waiting all evening, such discourtesy would be unbecoming of us. Don't you agree?"
The demon growled hungry at the two. Two? Four? Whatever the case, it was a feast for him. The man it was just eating was barely enough to satisfy his hunger. Perhaps this night was a lucky one, or rather a misfortune. The tide of this battle will be overseen by Fate.
Note: You may feel free to control him as you wish.

Aya could certainly hear the footsteps behind her and though she did not look, her Persona Mordred looked for her, and held her own blade out towards the man. Another person trying to attack her? Then he was going to suffer the same pain the Demon would! However instead, the man would toss her a shotgun that laid on the ground. She'd naturally pick it up, and smirk underneath her mask. Once more, the 'Annoying' Masked Man pulled out his weapon and flourished it at the Demon. "....Hmph. Alright then. I'll fuck em up, and you can watch. Just don't get in my way, or you're next." She said. She was ready to fight, and she wanted the blood on her hands, not some newcomer taking over. Mordred returned to the Demon, and made a break for it, attempting to stab the Demon twice with the katana. Meanwhile, the Bandit would simply attempt to whip it, to at least respect her wishes until she calmed down. Aya was chuckling. It had been so long since she had so much fun! And of course she thought this all the time, but this time was different. This time she was raising a new kind of hell.

One hit and it was already on its knees? How pathetic. Aya would have spat if the mask wasn't in the way. Either way, the Persona would fly back to her, and upon grabbing her, her body would be surrounded by crisp bright lightning. She would dash forward in an instant, crashing into the Demon and sending it flying back. She took a moment to ponder the corpse, but not for long as she noticed it was slowly standing back up.
