| The Backlight District at night. Man it was one hell of a place. Maybe not as musical and theatrical as the Suzie Q district but it was pretty awesome in its own ways. I mean this was where all the best shops were! It was also where most the troublemakers probably hung out. Maybe some stragglers leaving the Arcade late, or hanging about looking for a drink if they couldn't get into any bars elsewhere. Jack walked the district with his hands buried in his pocket. It wasn't quite that time to head by the Platinum Playhouse, so he was buying some time by screwing around with the general public. Though now he was technically a Psyche Terrorist, he had to be careful that the Government didn't catch onto his new abilities. Last time he used his Persona to its full splendor it attempted to lob off his own head and send it rolling across the ground. Man, that was totally awesome! For some reason, ever since he awakened to this potential, he had no issue with self mutilation. Was it his Persona's bloodlust towards him that caused him to want to physically harm himself ever so much? He rubbed the stitches on his arm and gave a thin smile at the thought.
"Huhh..?" Jack's attention drifted to a group of teenagers. Telling from their outfits, they were students at the Seven Stars Academy, but they were having abit of fun playing a game of cards. Gambling in Endymion was surely a crime, and Jack was so surprised students of their very school would be the one behind this crime. Oh, how he wished to scold them so!.. NOT! His eyes shifted to a shadow on the wall that took form. It was a demon, but invisible to them. Was this his ability now? To be able to see the world how it truly was? Whatever this demon was, it was having fun watching the students lose money to one another. Jack made his way over to their corner, and took up a small spot against the wall, next to the creature. The teens didn't seem to notice him, maybe because the demon was keeping them focused on the game. If that were the case, he could probably do whatever he wanted right now without them having a fit.
Jack would begin to maneuver the brainwashed students in odd positions as they played their game. He removed the shoes from one and put the cards between his toes, took one's hat and put it over his face so he couldn't see. Jack would pat his hands together for a job well done and looked at the demon with a smile. The invisible, to the average eye, monster would grab its belly and laugh as he forced the teens to continue their game. He wasn't too sure what type of demon it was, but it surely looked humanoid to some degree. Save for the green skin and money bags on the side. The two continued to watch the odd game and the lucky young man would fold his hands behind his head and smile.

| So a meeting was going to happen in the evening eh? After talking to the metal mutt, Reiji felt it was a lovely idea to wander the Backlight for a little bit. And by little bit, Reiji ended up staying the whole day, trying to scout out the small holes in the wall or bothering people long enough to try and take their stuff. She even managed to nab a woman's purse and snag some coin out of it before she escaped. She 'happily' gave back the gaudy thing, but the woman found it a lot less 'wealthy'. The place was perfect for making off with money and other valuables. Unfortunately though, she was itching for something intense; and while the robbing was fun and all, it was an itch that could not be scratched. She was looking for a fight in particular; a reason to beat the shit out of something. It wasn't psychotic or anything, it was just something that an adrenaline junkie like her practically needed. So maybe it was a little crazy, but it was the right kind of crazy.
But even that couldn't exactly prepare her for her next view. She expected it to be just a normal day, but instead she finds some weirdo putting cards in toes, and messing with a few kids from Seven Stars while they played a game. What was strange was that the kids were literally doing nothing to stop him. Were they into that freaky shit or were they asleep? In the end, curiosity got to her, and she would walk over not so subtly to the table, taking a closer look."Dude, are you just asking to get into a fight? Not from me though, from those freaks. But if they're just gonna ignore you..." she knelt over the table to look at the one not hidden by the hat. They were completely in a trance. She grabbed at their pants, and reached for anything that resembled a wallet or money. She pulled out her knife with her free hand and put it above the table, at least long enough for the student to get a good look before bringing it under the table, between his legs as she continued to search. The guy was literally doing nothing, and you don't do nothing when someone had your 'department' on hold! Reiji almost wanted to laugh; was this kid a damn magician? She eventually found a thin rectangle in his pocket, and pulled it out to check. Literally nothing. She was disappointed, but tossed the wallet on the table before turning to the boy messing with the students; her knife still under the table in her hand. "Alright, give me the secret. Are you a Demon or somethin'? Cause I've been dying to meet one of you types."

| "A fight, huh?" The dark haired young man commented to the newcomer who came to either join in his fun or ruin it. She was an odd one, as she started running through the pockets of one of the Academy students without a care in the world. His dark eyes continued to follow her movements, and the demon did the same. The creature was money grubbing, so it was probably better she didn't find any cash on em, or it would have went after her aswell. Guess this chick had a guardian angel watching over her somewhere! "I may not look it, but I'm pretty soft and squishy. If it's a bare knuckle brawl, that's not my forte. Buuuuut, that doesn't mean I don't know how to enjoy myself in a fight. Hehe.." Jack gave a thin, but dangerous looking smile. It was a no brainer that he wasn't the normal type of person, but there was a certain aura about him that spelled trouble at times. Luckily he could hide it behind his deceiving looks when he wanted. But ever since his awakening as a Persona-User, and having his eyes opened to the truth of the city. Well, one could say he was abit more reckless when it came to those still being brainwashed. In laymen's words, he just loved fucking with them.
"Am I a demon? I've been called alot of shit, but never a demon. Heh, sure, I'm a demon. Want me to prove it?" Jack tilted his head to the side and looked towards the mysterious woman. The demon who was playing with the lives of the humans looked his way before vanishing in a sudden spark. It seemed it was done having its fun, and the Seven Stars Academy students were slowly beginning to come back to reality. Jack's dark eyes started to notice this, and he'd crane his head to the right to signal Aya to get moving before they noticed them. Once doing this, he turned on his heel and took the first turn around the corner. Causing the chaos was fun, but seeing people react to it was even better. He'd wait for Aya to show up by his side before continuing his little discussion about being a demon. How could he trick her into thinking he was a demon? He wasn't going to transform into his Psyche Terrorist outfit or show his Persona... Hmm, he rubbed his chin and had to give this some thought.

| The boy certainly seemed like a weirdo. He almost seemed like a normal person at first glance. But even Aya figured that she lived outside the general norm. She got a lot more joy out of a nice fight than the average person, and apparently so did the Weirdo the way he put it. Her smile curled, as she started grating the underside of the table with the knife. "What a Weirdo. But that's the kind of Weirdo I like. Gotta be okay when things get a little dirty or bloody," she said. It was sort of her creed; when growing up she only understood how to live on her own and fight if getting into a bad situation. She could talk certainly, but she didn't want to talk out of a potential conflict. If you got into a fight, you either back yourself up with your fists, or you're no good.
Moving on however, the Weirdo was actually a Demon? Normally when you aren't telling the entire truth you repeat the question like he just did. But she was already enjoying herself enough to the point where she didn't care too much if he was lying. "I'm game. Show me what you can do, if you are one. Set something nearby on fire or some shit, and I'll believe ya." She better see the nearest stand turn into a Burning Man or she would be very disappointed in Weirdo.
But before he could, he seemed to wander off, as whatever trick was making the students not do anything was wearing off. She saw him run, but she shook her head. Yeah it'd be hilarious to watch 'em, but scaring them would be even funnier. As the kids started to wake up, they were obviously at first confused, and then annoyed. And when they turned to see Reiji nearby, angry. She was obviously screwing with them they must have thought. Was she a monster or a Demon in disguise? They started to cause a tiny ruckus, calling her names not crude enough for the woman to recite, but before they could do anything else, her knife went against one of the boys' stomachs. The action was visible only by the three, and definitely made them freeze....Okay maybe she really was psychotic."Oh no, it's some bitch with a knife, ruuuun..." she spoke with an exaggerated "dude" voice before stabbing the chair between his legs. The other two booked it, and the woman yanked the third out from the chair and pushed him towards the ground. He quickly ran off himself, while Aya picked up the knife and quickly put it away. What babies...She'd go right around the corner where Weirdo was and hung out there. "Keh, sorry about that. Now THAT was great, did you see their pants-pissing faces?" She placed a hand over her face with a happy chuckle. Whether it was some sort of hobby or borderline fetish wasn't exactly obvious from the get go, but it did make it clear that Aya had a different way of causing "mischief".

| "..Huh. You're weird! Hahah!" Jack laughed at the woman who had just scared the teens off. That was breaching mischief but at the end, they still did have a funny reaction. The problem with that was, unlike himself, she was doing this with an open face. Was she not aware that having attention in Endymion was not good? She needed a disguise, like himself, if she truly wished to have fun. But to his knowledge, she didn't have a Persona. She didn't have the potential for a Persona. Though maybe if he threw her to the wolves and had her in a dangerous situation with demons, she'd be able to awaken. Just like the mysterious stranger did for himself. Jack tilted his head and tapped his finger on his chin. He was obviously day dreaming at the current moment. What terribly horrible thing could he possibly do here..? There was absolutely no way he would ever reveal his other side to anyone. He still wanted to get rid of the others he had awakened with earlier in the night, just because they knew his first name. Though atleast they only knew his first name and not much more after that. This whole exchange of information and crap they wanted to do made him sick. Why ruin the illusion of being a terrorist by wanting to meet up during the day for bullshit? Fuck that, that was just dumb. Gave the government an easier time hunting them down.
"Do you usually mess around with people like that? You should totally get a new face. It's only a matter of time before those killjoys come to throw you away, ya know? I've always found it more fun to be discreet with chaos. Like so.." Jack would kneel to the floor and grab a penny in his hand. His dark eyes looked towards a large man walking infront of a group of teens. They seemed to be eighteen, though maybe some were in their twenties? Regardless, Jack gave a devilish smile as he flicked his wrist and sent the penny flying towards the right. It looked as if it was going to miss the group of teens and pass behind them. However, his eyes narrowed as he focused on his projectile.
With the sudden focus, the penny hit the wall at an odd angle behind the group and caused it to shoot towards them. It went between them and hit the large man hard in the back of the head that caused his neck to crane forward. Jack snickered as he walked to Aya's side and folded his arms behind his head. "Chaos is like gravity. Alittle push, and things can get awesome. No need to always be the first one in the fray." He spoke with a low tone as the man turned towards the teens who were laughing amongst themselves. He obviously thought they were the ones who hit him from behind, and in an act of retaliation, he took a swing at one of them that caused them all to get riled up. Jack gave a cheerful smile towards the small brawl going on across the way. Things like this were totally awesome, and it made him long for causing trouble as a terrorist in the dark of night in the days to come. But first he'd have to find a way to control his Persona from lobbing off his own head.
- SS:
Soul Skill Name: Luck Eater *Friday the 13th* Persona Name: Raffles Tier: Tier 1 Cost: 15 SP Type of Damage: N/A Description:In PvP this skill drains allows Jack to pull off a lucky feat in regards to his weaponry. This can involve shooting a bullet against a hard surface and it luckily ricocheting in the right direction; slicing a tree down with his soulbound and it luckily falling towards the opponent, etc. There is a limit to this and can only revolve around his weaponry. No moves out of this can be instant hits, and each opponent will have their fair share of chance to dodge/guard/or counter the moves.
In Real World interaction, this skill can boost the user's luck in terms of average world encounters. Finding a quarter on the ground, winning in rock paper scissors, etc. If it involves average NPCs, the smallest interactions that require luck will go his way. This does not include major lucky events like hitting the lottery, missing a bus that later on crashed and burned, etc. This more entails something like gambling in small card games, grabbing the last seat at a free event, etc.
—Strength Name: Sir Fortune —Description: Jack unconsciously drains the luck of those around him, thus giving him a 10% boost to his luck stat.
—Strength Name: Weapon Specialist —Description: Jack has a habit of using weapons to their fullest, allowing him to attack twice in one post with dex attacks at extreme speeds. This also translates to PvP battles aswell.
—Strength Name: Trickster —Description: Everyone's innocent until proven guilty right? Jack takes full advantage of this with his trickster ways. He knows he's not the strongest, smartest, or most talented. To make up for these short comings, he's fallen back to using mere tricks to get the upper hand in his social life. Rumors would say he was trained in the art of Ninjutsu, but that's impossible.. Right? You wouldn't be far off if you called him a ninja of sorts. He can deceive the eyes very easily with maneuvers regarding smoke, mirrors, etc. Anything at hand at the time.

| When asked about doing things without a new face, Aya tilted her head, but scoffed. "I don't need a new face to take on people that deserve it. I've been wanderin' through city after city; they forget your name and face eventually. The best trouble you make is the ones where you're face to face, when you cause it and they know it," She said, looking back at the runaways. It did seem like a benefit for people not to know your identity when you were out causing havoc however. After all, Aya planned on sticking around in Endymion a little longer than usual so what she said in response was perhaps an inexperienced opinion; naive even. The thought was interesting. Before any more thoughts rushed through her head, she saw Weirdo flick a penny which bounced perfectly off the wall and hit someone. Aya looked astonished. She turned back to him with an open-mouthed stare."No fuckin' way...what the? You really are a demon...or a Weirdo. You're freaky anyway," she said nearly breathless, doing a double take at the group now getting into a fight. She was about to take a step forward and join in herself, but then she listened to what Weirdo said. 'No need to be the first in the fray.....a little push and things can get awesome.' Weirdo had a point after all. And Aya was interested in any new way to cause trouble. But something stuck out in her mind like it always did.
"I don't want to give up being able to be part of the action, that crap is too much fun. But you're right I guess. If they start pinning me down cause of my face it could be a pain in the ass. You know how to get a new face?" She wanted strength to do things like this, but she wasn't the type to stand in the background and play puppetboy. Maybe it had something to do with what she learned before. There was something going on tonight in this mall right? Maybe she'd get her answers there.

| Jack raised a brow to the woman's remarks on getting a new face. She was bold and she sounded like she had plenty of experience hopping city to city. The problem was, Endymion wasn't like your normal city. Even he knew that. It wasn't just the demons that made this city strange. He figured the weird woman would know that aswell. Well, what he could tell was she was the dangerous type. The type that screamed psyche terrorist, though she couldn't see any demons herself. Jack had met all different types of crazy in his day. This violent type didn't bother him in the slightest. Especially after his encounter with that Unknown woman who sent the world into ruin for years until the Queen brought the city back together. Where this woman could scare a few people at a time, it was nothing like the woman that scared the entire world. But it made him wonder. Did that Unknown woman start off like this?
After his display of luck, she looked at him in utter surprise. Jack rubbed his finger beneath his nose while giving a crooked grin that seemed to go from ear to ear. "Pfft, weirdo or freaky or whatever, regardless I'm half man and all amazing." Jack really didn't care for the word weirdo in terms of his description, but he was always labeled unique in some sort of way. Though the question came. Did she know how to get a new face? Pah, he couldn't honestly just say get a Persona and they basically give you one. Instead, he pressed a fingertip into is skin and began to drawn an invisible line through it. "Ever seen the movie face off? That's a nice way of getting a new face. Just steal someone elses." Such a crude way of putting it, yet he couldn't help but chuckle to himself at the implications of doing such a thing. He wondered with so many psyche terrorists and varying abilities, if there was someone who could wear the face of someone else. That'd be an interesting ability that'd easily let someone sneak into the Government's trust, right!?
"Hey, here's a random question. Do you think if a human does enough bad acts, they'll become demons themselves?"

| .....and apparently half-full of himself. Though Aya liked that kind of arrogance. Flaunting what you had was fun, and seeing that the man had a trick or two up his sleeve, likely he had a reason to act the way he did. And even if he didn't, you could say she was almost suckered in. Of course she wasn't blind to the implications. It meant that he was not someone you could simply screw around with. He probably had ways to get back at you themselves. "Whatever you say dude. At least you're fun. I kinda wanna party with your type. If stealing a face was that easy, I'd have plenty right now. But wearing them like that is kinda wicked. Pretty messy too." But then he asked his particular question. What would humans be like if they turned into Demons? Was that the secret? They were just humans that changed? Either way, a strange smile cracked on her face."If that was the case, then I'd be a Demon long by now. It shouldn't be that boring of a way to become like them. They're not the same kind of scum humans are. You see terrible humans each day, but Demons are still here. No way. Just being bad isn't enough. You need to do more to become less than human." And that was the key to her. If someone could be described as less than human, or inhuman even. Then and only then would becoming a demon be possible. But simply doing bad things was not the only prerequisite. You needed more; something to change you, to where you could never be recognized again. Aya wondered herself if it was possible for her to be one? Her strange smile crooked in one direction as she entertained the idea of becoming a monster. What would happen? Would she get stronger, smarter, able to do more than what she already could? The jumble of ideas in her head ran through several times, thinking of the maddening ways one could transform. "But what about you?" she asked. "Do you want to become a Demon too?" | |

| Haha, this chick was so weird. Not alot of people in Endymion were willing to cut loose like this, and even Jack felt he himself had some limits when he didn't wear the mask. Infact, he felt the skin on his face was his current mask. He wore it in the day and pretended to care about the world around him and the people he interacted with. But in reality, he wished to go stay out in the night where he was able to wear his true fast. Not hiding the fact that he lived a boring life in a city that craved alittle freedom and animosity. Things were way too peaceful without the Terrorists. Even the demons seemed to be getting controlled to the point they were hardly even a problem for the people anymore. But now that he opened his eyes, he saw the truth of what was really going on. Demons were still around them, however they could not be seen with the average eyes. Those shadows that danced on the walls to him were truly demons and not a figment of his imagination. And his latent ability of stealing the luck of others was not of his own will, but instead the Persona that was born from his ego that took the form of a thief of luck. If only she knew the beauty of wearing another face.
"Heh, I agree. Demons aren't so bad when you've met a true monster. Humans are much worse than demons, totally... That's why you see people fearing these Psyche Terrorists more then demons these days." The dark haired young man rubbed the back of his neck and shifted his eyes to their corners. Every time he thought of this, she popped into his mind. That smile of her's became more apparent the moment he became a Persona-User himself. For some reason he felt as if she were still with him ever since awakening to his potential. Like she had a hand in his awakening..
When it came to the question of if he'd want to be a demon, Jack could do nothing but give a crooked, childish grin. There were no words, just a smile towards her while tilting his head. Was it no? Yes? He left the answer to her imagination. "I feel like we're going to get along really well. My name is Jack! Remember it cause I'll be infamous one day, you know?" The young man gave a toothy grin and gave her a salute.

| Aya tilted her head as Jack turned all shifty-eyed. She could only hazard what was going on in his head right now. He seemed like the type that thought more than he spoke, which was just as dangerous after what she saw of him. Him not answering her earlier question about wanting to become a Demon only made her even more interested. Though this boy becoming infamous? That sounded very similar to her own goal. "Good. It'll be fun to have more entertainment to watch. Raising some hell is one of the best things to do around here. You can call me Aya." The woman smirked back at him, while pulling her hair from under her hat to look at him with both of her eyes. Her hair was long, and it looked crudely cut by some kind of sharp tool, but it went over part of her face due to it never being dressed. Often times she'd end up with it covering her eyes, one of them if lucky. Her smirk soon turned into a crooked grin back at him. Fearing Psyche Terrorists more than Demons certainly sounded like a fun idea. If she could have that chance to be a threat, then she'd take it, especially if Demons and humans alike stepped aside in the wake that the Terrorists cause.
"I think Humans as shitty as most are, can be just as exciting. If Demons can bow to us, then we have something they don't, or we're just stronger than they are. We have the chance to turn it all into whatever we want. It's crazy huh?"

| "Aya? Pretty name! I'll remember it next time we meet, ya know?" Jack gave a sly smile as he tilted his head and gave a low laugh. This night was shaping up to be quite interesting. Though, it was just getting started for him! He had a certain playhouse to be getting to soon so he could learn a way to control his Persona. At this rate he'd be killed by his own Persona sooner than any demon or Government official. Last time it was almost his head, so who knows what was next. If it only lashed out at others he wouldn't have cared. After all, who gave a rat's ass about the well being of others? They weren't important. Infact, they were pretty worthless by the end of the day. He liked to tease people but he was not dependent on them. He did not need people to enjoy his life. Perhaps that's why he was interested in demons abit more than his fellow man.
"Heh, I have no wish to make demons bow before me. Infact, I prefer them running loose along side me. But look at the time. I should be going. I have some plans tonight I just can't miss. Seeya!" The dark haired young man waved to Aya and gave a wink before making his departure from the area. It was an abrupt exit, but he couldn't be late for what he had in store.

| Pretty? Hm. She didn't exactly enjoy the idea of being pretty. Her compliments she preferred involving the other to fear her, or attest to her strength. But she didn't say anything about it. She understood what Jack meant though about letting Demons run loose. Was it better than using their power? It could go both ways, but the possibilities with either are endless. She let the thought roll in her mind as Jack decided to bid his farewells. "Don't worry, I'm sure I'll catch your eye again. It'll be fun. Better still be kicking when I see you next." She flicked her wrist in a sort of farewell gesture, but it wasn't as nearly as comely as a normal hand wave. But it wasn't her style anyway. Reiji would watch him wander off, before turning the other way. She didn't know it herself, but by the time the Night grew darker, she would have a newfound strength. It would be a strength that she had been craving since day one when coming to this city. It would be a new world of fun, danger and excitement. And the next time they'd meet would be far sooner than either of them expected... -- End | |
