| Jack was on his way home from leaving the Kuzunoha Detective Agency. He was pretty interested about what was going on at the night, but he had some time to burn before all that happened. His wandering through the Backlight had brought him to the Arcade and the large crowd that gathered around. It seemed to be more popular than usual in there today. Jack was by far not the curious type, but he was easily interested when nothing was going on around him. This would be one of those specific times. A smile couldn't help but come across his face as he put his arms behind his head and made his way through the entrance.
When the lucky wanderer entered the arcade, his attention was immediately brought to the number of claw games lined against the far wall. Apparently, from the gossip he had heard, something special was added to the prizes. A certain doll that was limited to just this day only? It was his lucky day to just happen to walk by when this was starting! He had no real interest in dolls, but there was always a thrill when you heard something was rare. It sort of made you want to jump on it without any sort of hesitation! And right now he was feeling like a little school girl on the first day of camp: anxious and jittery!
The dark haired young man went to the front desk like a blur. Removing his wallet, he'd open it and drop a plethora of money down upon the counter-top. "Is this enough to play!?" He asked with sparkles in his large, round eyes to the man working the desk. The man was obviously taken off guard, but he began to exchange the money for player coins. Jack watched while swaying back and forth like a puppy waiting for its food.

| Brittany never understood what's the hype some people have with videogames, and probably she never would if the girl hadn't decided to venture herself into what, to her, was an unexplored territory. Oddly, it was very much a childhood outcast dream (after all, most kids she admired when she was younger had one console or two...or more, for those who are really richies). Even odder was that nowadays Wilson could afford one for herself, and the idea might have crossed her mind once or twice, only to quickly avert the idea to something her usually undisciplined and unfocused behavior would find more appealing. Like clothes! Or purses! Talk about priorities here. In any event, there she was, playing with one of the machines. A claw machine, those you have a lever which enables you to control said claw and, if you maneuver it proficiently enough, grab one doll for yourself. A pretty easy explanation, right? Brittany actually thought so as well, and right when the counter guy gave her the proper instructions, she thought to herself how easy would it be to earn the prize: one doll. However... " I'm so not gonna leave this place until you give me that toy, do you hear me?? Or my money back, whatever works!", she growled at the machine, undecided between sobbing or punching it out of frustration. What was it, her fifth or sixth failed attempt? Well, it didn't matter. If at first Brittany squealed and giggled when she grasped the whole mechanical concept of it, by now the girl was starting to lose her patience already, and any bystander watching the scene would find it either weird or hilarious. For God's sake, she was getting angry at a game! Perhaps it was a good thing she never truly considered buying a videogame before... But it was definitely not a good thing that whoever mentioned today's biggest prize to her, they forgot to tell it was way damn hard to earn it! | |

| Jack had a bag of dreams that took the shape of coins. Tokens, to be more precise. He'd slide through the crowd, slipping through the smallest cracks to get to an available machine that'd allow him to go for the figurative gold. The one he'd happen to find available would be stationed next to another that had a young woman at the controls. She seemed to be having a fit at the game. Guess she was unlucky and didn't get the prize she wanted. Jack only looked at her for a few seconds before tuning in to his own devices before him. It was him, a common warrior, vs it, a monster of a claw. Would he be able to brave the trials and win this toy that so many others wanted? Or would he fail like the rest? Only time would te-..
Well, before this narration could be complete, Jack had already inserted a coin and grasped the toy with the claw. But not only this. The toy had been hooked to another, bringing up two of them at once, and dropping them to the dispenser where they'd fall to their freedom. The crowd was rather quiet at the development: not exactly believing their eyes. However, Jack wasted no time to grab the two dolls from the dispenser and give a cocky grin. By no means was he skilled in games, or even using machines to begin with. If anything, he was an utter wreck when it came to technology at all. However, luck was on his side! With such a large crowd of people to draw from, he was able to achieve his happiness with the lack of their own. Though, he didn't know he was doing this as it was an subconscious action.
"Who the hell do you think I am!? ...This is boring.." He sounded rather excited even though his final words meant otherwise. He tossed the two rare dolls to the side, and they would land upon the machine right before the previous angry girl's eyes. He obviously didn't want them, giving her free access to having them herself. It was an indirect present from a guy who played the game for the thrill, not really the prize at the end. He let the next person take their shot and returned back to the front desk to bother the man again. Jack was utterly unsatisfied and wanted another prize instead!
- Traits:
—Strength Name: Sir Fortune —Description: Jack unconsciously drains the luck of those around him, thus giving him a 10% boost to his luck stat.
—Strength Name: Trickster —Description: Everyone's innocent until proven guilty right? Slye takes full advantage of this with his trickster ways. He knows he's not the strongest, smartest, or most talented. To make up for these short comings, he's fallen back to using mere tricks to get the upper hand in his social life. Rumors would say he was trained in the art of Ninjutsu, but that's impossible.. Right? You wouldn't be far off if you called him a ninja of sorts. He can deceive the eyes very easily with maneuvers regarding smoke, mirrors, etc. Anything at hand at the time.
—Weakness Name: No-Go Robo —Description: He was never good with electronics and probably never would be. His growth rate in intelligence is lower than that of the norm.

| Alright, the machine couldn't respond to Brittany's pleas, and it was to be expected. After all, it was a machine, technology has not evolved to this point...yet. Or maybe it has, and she didn't know. Point is, she let it go for a bit and distanced herself from the machine, allowing any other person to give it a shot and play themselves, should it be their wish. Maybe Brittany just needed a bit of time to cool off and try again later.
Soon, there was another guy who went for one of the machines in the vicinity. The other one available, to be honest, right next to him, and so it easily triggered her attention. Some people joined her, just to watch around and...
...my, this guy was good. Or lucky. Or, in the best scenario, both. Like the nearby crowd, her eyes were so mesmerized and focused on him she even forgot to blink. What are the odds? "...wow", the girl whispered, her eyes following his departure only for her to have a glimpse of rationality and quickly grab the dolls (THE dolls!) he tossed to the side before anyone else does it. Actually, this was one fine moment she reacted fast enough to be clever and put both dolls the mysterious young man earned in her purse, before speeding her pace to reach out to him, half amused at his incredible feat, half bemused due to his incredible...neglect of his feat. "Hiii! Sorry to bother, I saw what you did there and I just had to tell you, it was, like, totally amazing! Everyone wants these dolls and you, like, got two of them?? I mean, did you learn to play that game by yourself?? Also, why did you toss the two aside? Don't you want them? If you don't, can I keep them? Please say yes, I'll totally keep them!" Or perhaps she was 99% amused, and 1% bemused...

| Jack's track back to the front desk was stopped by the sweet voice of another. He turned and looked towards the origin with round eyes and was met with a wave of questions. His eyes went to the crowd, then they went back to Brittie, then they went to the ceiling, and then back to Brittie. Maybe he was thinking up a complex answer to her questions. The wheels in his brain must have been cranking out something that would appease her. Something that would set her soul to ease on what had just transpired. And slowly he opened his lips. They parted slowly, as if the secrets of the world were about to be released to the general public. As if all the answers one sought were now looking to be freed. And without any further hesitation, Jack uttered...
"..Yes." A one word answer that truly answered nothing. Yes to what? Her having the dolls? Maybe. Yes to learning the game himself? Maybe again! To wanting them? Maybe again! Regardless, he looked at her with round eyes after he finished teasing her with the simple answer. He obviously didn't care for the dolls, but his stomach was rumbling. This is when he came up with a dastardly plan.
"In exchange for the dolls, can you buy me a snack!?" Jack asked with a smug, toothy grin while placing the palms of his hands together. Thinking about it, he had only like two gummy bears and a shot of vodka from the Suzie Q district for breakfast. Anyone would be hungry if that was all they ate! Anyway, he gave Brittie big puppy dog eyes and an innocent smile. "My name is Jack. It's a pleasure to meet you!'

| "Yes". That's all she needed to hear, and her automatic response was a wide grin from ear to ear, followed by a high-pitched squeal filled with as much enthusiasm as the girl could convey.
"Thank you! Thank you so MUCH, I've been wanting this doll sooo hard! I, like, tried a lot of times but all that machine did was eat up my coins and my money, stupid machine, but I'm so glad I met you! Have I said thank you already?" She would keep going on and on with effusive demonstrations of gratitude, until the guy asked for a snack. That was quite an unexpected request coming from a stranger, and she couldn't quite tell if he was serious or not. Judging from his smile, he likely wasn't. Still, the girl felt like she owed him one. Or two, after all, she now had two dolls. Besides, she couldn't resist someone making that cute, begging face. Even if it's a grown-up man with an uncommon hairstyle. "Of course! That's the least I can do! Though this feels weird, normally guys are the ones volunteering to treat me for some lunch, you're, like, the first who asks me to treat yourself instead! Isn't that, like, totally weird? Like a reverse date!" She giggled at her own humorous banter, extending one hand out to him, in a formal kind of greeting that's so not her. At all. "My name is Brittany. So, Jack, what would you like to eat? If I knew I'd stumble upon someone who's hungry, I'd have brought some "vegan muffins" I bought earlier for myself. They're just like regular muffins, you know? But made of vegetables instead, so they're actually less caloric and sugar-based. Diet stuff. Hmmm, but it probably won't satiate you, there's only one left...oops. Say, do you like muffins? Or would you want something else to eat?"

| "Huh? Reverse date?" Jack tilted his head to the side and blinked. "Pfft! That's not weird, silly! I'm just hungry and turned all my money into tokens. I don't think they give refunds for them, sadly. Buuut, if it makes you feel better, I can use the tokens to buy a wig and totally act more feminine. Heehee.." He'd raise his own hand and shake hers in greeting. His first impression of her wasn't bad at all. Infact, he thought she was pretty silly compared to the two girls he had met earlier in the day. Where they were totally taking life way too seriously, she, on the other hand, seemed to be enjoying it pretty well. That was awesome!
"Nice to meet you, Brittany! Vegan Muffins? T-That sounds scary.. You shouldn't have to worry about eating healthy. You're pretty, and you'll totally stay pretty no matter what you eat, ya know?" The childish adult shook like a scared puppy. What sort of crazy human being would take the "fun" out of muffin and make it healthy!? He shook his head a mile a minute when offered such a thing. "Umm, how about the food stand I saw towards the back of this place? I'm sure once we get there, I'll make up my mind on something. I promise to keep it cheap!" Jack placed the palm of his hands together and gave her a wink. "You're so much nicer than two other ladies I met this morning. Would you happen to be an angel? If demons exist, then angels should aswell, right?" His logic was astounding. Just because someone was willing to buy him food, he saw them in the best of light. Through his point of view, Brittany totally had a halo over her head right now.

| Act more feminine? 'Kay, that would be very...unique for a first meeting. She couldn't help but laugh at how silly of a statement that was...while her mind was forming a mental image that was, to say the least, "curious". Uh.
"I know, right?? I told exactly the same thing to my agency managers, finally someone who understands me well enough! Oh my gosh, thank you?!" She was impressed with this guy in more ways than one, not only because she could use the very welcome compliments, but his lack of commitment to social rules in regards to food. Perhaps she was too absorbed by the fashion/cheerleader environment, where your appearance dictates your behavior and what you can and cannot eat. In all honesty, she was the kind of girl who'd go for anything at any time as long as she was hungry enough...if it weren't for her job. "An angel? That's, like, the first time I ever heard that! Pretty, nice, an angel, what else? Go on, I'm totally all ears!" Yep, Brit definitely enjoyed compliments, be it to her easygoing, carefree demeanor or to her obvious beauty. "Mmm, you mentioned a stand, right? Neat, lead the way! I might even buy something for myself too. Like, I've only had these two muffins all day! And yet I don't feel hungry at all?? Bizarre, isn't it? Ooooh I nearly forgot, I also had some snacks from a kid I met at East Eden earlier, but it was just chocolate, candy, you know, stuff that doesn't fill anyone's tummy. Then again, the vegan muffins didn't fill either. But at least were bigger! Anyway, shall we go?"

| "Agency Managers? Girl, those are two words that smell of trouble!" Jack covered his mouth and gave a chuckle. Being an Events Coordinator located out in Suzie Q, he had come across these types before. These Managers had to have everything go their way, or it was the highway. Oh how Jack wished the latter option was the option they chose the majority of the time. Nope, sadly it was his job to try and work it out with them so their "talent" could pull the biggest audience possible. He couldn't remember how he got into this profession considering the specialty his family line really went for. But he did meet some interesting people with the job so he couldn't complain all the time! Though now he was getting off the point. They all supported talent and that meant Brittany had some talent! He wanted to guess... Was it singing? Maybe danging? Maybe even both!?
He snapped back to reality when she told him to lead the way. Giving a goofy smile and a nod, he'd start the walk through the crowd. Making sure they didn't get separate, he'd look back towards Brittie and continue their conversation. "Kid in East Eden? Is he handing out treats to people!? Free candy.. Kukuku, that Kid won't see me coming~" Jack rubbed his hands together and licked his lips like some sort of mad scientist. Though someone could probably get the wrong idea if they didn't get the context of it all.
"Oh yeah, Brittany. You said you had agency managers? Do you mind me asking what your profession is? Please tell me professional massage therapist cause my shoulders have been totally stiff all day!" The Valetine would motion to his shoulders and give a playful wink towards Brittany. He was obviously teasing her in his favorite fashion.

| Watching as Jack plotted to snatch the candies from the boy she met at East Eden made Wilson giggle a bit. He seemed quite childish, perhaps even in appearance. Not that it was a bad thing; on the contrary, it was nice meeting someone who was carefree and easygoing. Yes, if you discover his dirty little secrets and threaten him to spread them!" She chuckled mischievously. It wasn't even that big or important of a secret, but she has been a child before so she knows how even little things could matter greatly until you're old enough.
"Oh no, it's nothing like that! I don't think I couldn't even be a massage therapist. Like, my hands are a bit too big for that" She said, looking at her own hands for a minute before coming back to the actual point of the question. "It's a model agency. I'm new there, yet not so new, I've signed up for a while...Like, just enough to be new there. If that makes any sense", she chuckled absentmindedly. She didn't mind talking about her profession, but she was definitely conscious about her feats, and Brittany knew better than to brag about a profession seen with such glamour when, in fact, she didn't even have a prominent career yet.

| Jack had materialized a pen and paper in hand from seemingly nowhere, as he took notes about this kid and his sweets. This would be his first heist! Stealing the sweets and making a hasty exit! But wait, dirty little secrets? The dark haired young man would look to the side with a nervous grin. "So, you like younger guys?" He was obviously reading this situation wrong, but he gave her a reassuring thumbs up. "I'm rooting for you!" Hey, he wasn't the type to get in the way of love. Even if it was on the... weirder side, right?
When she mentioned her hands, Jack tilted his head and examined them with his dark round eyes. "Pfft, you could do whatever you wanted, Brittie! Your hands are pretty and would totally work well massaging my shoulders!" He gave her a wink and a toothy grin, obviously hinting that a massage from her would be good regardless of her experience or the size of her hands. When she mentioned being a model though, it all made sense. No wonder she had such an aura around her! Jack couldn't help but cross his arms and nod. "A model? I see I see. It totally makes sense. You're attractive, and usually models are. But that must be tough. I heard models have to watch their weight and stuff alot. That sucks! I wanna eat what I want and when I want it."

| ...what? Jack took the situation completely wrong, and while most people would be fazed at the mere insinuation of their character being inclined to commit a heavy crime such as child abuse, to Brittany the whole assumption was simply hilarious. "Well, nooo?? I mean, what is his age? He's, like, 10? It's just a kid! Maybe when he grows, like, 20 more centimeters and adds a few 5 years to his age, I can give it a shot" Whether Jack was serious or not, she would retort simply, taking it for a remark supposed to be humorous.
"Oh dear, you'd be surprised! You know there's this thing called Photoshop, right? Of course you must know about it. Like, everyone does! I use it a lot to edit my photos, but it's just regular stuff, like adding some texting, a frame, you know, the basics. At model agencies, however, most of our pictures later undergo a Photoshop treatment, they make some girls slimmer, alter the illumination, bla bla bla. In the end, even a monkey can enter the agency and look attractive because technology is this awesome of a tool!" When she spoke it like that, it could probably seem funny, but once you're inside fashion business, you gain a very wide notion on how some pictures have little to do with reality but the basis. "I so totally know, right?? Oh my Gosh, you're, what, my spirit animal? I'd say soulmate, but we've just met. Anyway, yeah! But you see, I signed up for the job so I should know where I was getting into! I can't not abide to their rules. Like, it's part of the contract to take care of my looks, they're my work tool...but on the other hand, urgh, these rules are soooo stupid! I shouldn't be prohibited from eating just because they think I'll get fat if I do! I mean, hello-o? There's this thing called metabolism?? But it's useless to argue about it, and the more I think about it, the hungrier I get."
