Step 1: Arm Thy Self (Continued)

Hiro would listen to the silence that came in the wake of his words. He was getting used to the long pauses, so he waited patiently enough for a reply. However, what came next was far from expected.

"!!!"

The gasp was the split second warning that Hiro got from Aria before he heard rather than saw the initial attack that was thrown at him. To the warning, he automatically broke his connection with the girl, the chess board vanishing into thin air as his body shifted and he tried to dash to the side. Try as he might though, he still felt the impact of the attack on his left side as something cool and semi solid slammed into him with enough force to sting, but not really harm. When said thing decided to expand and cover him, it took him a second to realize that he had been attacked by water.

Dripping wet and not exactly appreciative of the attack, Hiro would look over at the other who did not hide themselves. As his eyes locked onto the woman a careful observer would take note his eyes were now red as his older and much darker personality took over. He didn't attack though as he calmly watched the other.


"That is unfortunate. We were having such a lovely chat," he would begin and then smirking coldly he would continue. "Oho? You wanna know? Well then, maybe you should've asked rather than made an attack first." He would finish, the words calm and cold as he kept a close eye on this new person. He didn't know who she was or why she had attacked him on sight, but the more he observed her...the more he began to feel...something strangely familiar from her, but what it was he could not yet say.

Regardless his int ital plan seemed to have changed no w that he had a potential threat to contend with.

"Sorry darling. But I have a few bad eggs to break, and I don't have a lot of time for the Q part of the Q&A, so give me the A," she said, crossing the dead street towards him until they were no more than a room's width apart. "So Lune is talking to you I heard? I think you're trying to get her to remember things shed rather forget. Maybe you should talk to me instead." She cocked a hip as she walked a little closer, with an inquisitive look. She then smiled with teeth, though the smile itself looked a little unhinged.

He would not back down from the woman’s approach nor flinch or try to get away when the other made the distance between them rather uncomfortable by normal standards. He’d keep red eyes on the woman unafraid of her presence or slightly unhinged smile. He was not afraid of this woman as his dark personality remained in place.

“Hmph, so you want an answer very well,” he would say as he shifted his stance a bit his weight shifting to the left as he folded his arms and continued.

“The past is often the key to fill in gaps within the present and sometimes unveiling  a  bit of the future. All I wanted really was to fill in gaps that linger now, so I pushed a bit to get her to remember what she had lost, but perhaps I pushed too far if I now have to deal with you. However, I will repeat what I asked just this once: angels, Zackery and the minister. Zodiacs and the decay of the worlds. They all are connected to the chaos here. All contribute to the war that is somehow back even though evil itself was supposedly destroyed two years ago. I want to know what the source of this chaos is and what it is Zachary plans to do with it.”

He’d sum up his early conversation quiet well leaving only his points in tact. It was true this woman would probably give nothing, but unlike before the man did not seem as tolerant of games and even though powerless, he had a drive to fight if provoked, but for now he kept that violent tendency down  as he observed this new woman. Her familiarity…was a bit unsettling. He had sensed this energy before even if he hadn’t been face-to-face with the original source. Even so he was having difficulty figuring out from what in the past it belonged to.

Aria, on the other hand, would remain in the air next to Hiro feeling very uncomfortable. She sensed the change in Hiro and become more nervous than before. She knew the guy could get a bit scary when angry, but she had never seen this personality before. The personality shift bothered her with its darkness and this new woman only made her uneasiness grow worse. What was this? Something from the past resurfacing or something else? She could not tell, so for now she simply watched carefully what the pair did and prayed this wouldn’t turn into a battle of some sort...

“A destroyer that could potentially be one of the 13 that is rumored to protect the worlds?” Hiro began his tones calm and his expression blank at first. He would mull over that a bit and then blinking smirk coldly at the situation. “How ironic. If that is true,” he would say seeming amused by something before his eyes rested on the woman again. His expression became serious again. “You say Zachary plans to take advantage of the chaos to save us all using these two people you mentioned?” Hiro would pause as he felt two pieces form in his left hand. He would move the gloved hand upward slightly and unclench the fist to look at the pieces. A two faced angel and demon? How odd. Seeing these odd pair that typically represented great power, he would look back up at the other.

‘What is so special about them that their bodies alone could help out with the situation? And as for charging core, is it really wise to do that? Wouldn’t something like that be guarded beyond belief?”

Hiro's behavior remained calm and non-hostile as he watched this strange lady before him. He had to admit he was quite curious about this whole thing, but how long she would stay and chat or what he could in this situation was currently questionable. So he’d wait and see what Lady Fate did for him.

Meanwhile Aria would watch the situation with a grim look. What the heck was going on here?

“And maybe Zachary is right if it getting to the Core is as simple as having the right bodies around to lower a barrier that protects said object,” Hiro would say his tones surprisingly amused. The tone of voice caused Aria to look over at Hiro taking note that for the first time since meeting him she was not viewing the same person as before. While he was still a pretty boy for sure, his attitude shift had seemed to dispel the more innocent form he had been using before leaving behind a stranger she had not yet met. A stranger that reeked of chaos...and yet….she still felt she could trust. Was this person perhaps her master’s true form and the other from before a fake?

It seemed so since this new behavior didn’t seemed as force as the more kinder persona he had used up until now. No this...this felt natural for this man, making the small demon look at him in a new light. While he appeared to be human, he seemed to have some traits and tricks that showed he was maybe something more, but what that more was she did not know and perhaps didn’t want to know as she took her place on his shoulder once more kind of liking this man even more for being able to fool her with his play.

Meanwhile, Hiro (now in his original state) would keep his focus on the woman before him not seeming to be bothered as she step towards him in a fashion that could probably seem threatening to a weaker person; however, the man would not back down as he held his ground in her presence and kept crimson eyes leveled with her insane strange ones. .

To her words, the man actually smirked.


“Well, if you are being so kind about it, then I say yes I would like an audience with Zachary. If the price I have to pay is your eye on me then I will pay it. After all, he is the mean reason I was here in the first place. Best not make this a wasted trip right?”

From there the man would fall silent and watch to see what this one would do...
