The Missing Pieces Empty
PostSubject: The Missing Pieces   The Missing Pieces EmptyTue May 10, 2016 10:47 pm

In the far corners of space, where the crisis in Azores was far removed, one realm known as Erisia stood outside the boundaries of time or space. It could not possibly be affected through normal means by the results of Azores. However, what had been going on in the world had caused circumstances to change. A young man, and their dearest friend venturing off into the space beyond through a strange rift from the anomalies left behind strange holes in the borders of the universe. Erisia was perhaps safe, but those roaming the lands may have found themselves forced through the hole by accident, or strange will of providence. Perhaps they were just stupidly unlucky to find themselves in the predicament. However it may be, they would now be far away from home, and drifting between two realms, equidistant from one another, while a large orb, slowly deconstructing before their eyes and attempting to reform, stood above, larger than any tower, being or structure they ever knew.

The Missing Pieces Q2ShTMj

The large Sphere seemed to be so far away, as they could see both it, and the edges of the universe if they looked. Was this a dream, or something bigger? It appeared to be something akin to space, but they could breathe. Unbeknownst to them this was part of a larger "bridge" where universes, realities and worlds were connected, and could meet. It was all incomprehensible, strange and abstract.

They could see many spheres of other worlds appeared far off in the distance, however the two worlds from before were unlike the ones they saw. One showed a series of islands, though it appeared distorted, as though a strange force was tainting its very existence. The other realm seemed a lot stranger; at one point it appeared to be a desert wasteland, then it was an underwater palace, then a high tech city. Many areas flashed upon it. Too many things going on in their heads to begin to describe this strange sight.

The first that would wake up was a young man named Samael Ryer. Chosen by the strength of Chaos, he ventured into a larger conflict he never knew. Nearby however, a young woman's eyes would begin to flutter open..

The Missing Pieces Tumblr_mogyjgfuc81rzdfrco1_500

Danielle Brooks was the name of the second person who woke up. She and Samael were mere feet from each other, and could speak, but both of them felt a sense of dread. Whatever was going on in those worlds they knew was not the biggest threat. They could feel the weight of the structure above; understanding it seemed to hold everything together, and with it gone, everything around it would begin to fall. What could they even think, and moreover, where would they go from here...?

The Missing Pieces Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Missing Pieces   The Missing Pieces EmptyWed May 11, 2016 4:43 am

Danielle rested on the ground for a good couple of minutes, blissfully unaware of what was going on around her for the time being. Vivid dreams of her past life in Erisia taunted her... The Monado, Kalyan and everyone else she had met on her journey flashed before her, as faded images of the real deal... All those lives... those people she had left behind.

The purple-haired soldier would slowly open up her eyes once her dreams faded away, finding herself in a strange realm. Countless worlds hovering around them like planets in space, orbiting a much larger structure in the distance, and two other "worlds" as well. One showing a set of islands swimming in a vast ocean, while the other flashed scenes from all manner of different locales... Swamps, high-tech cities, ruins and so much more. It was all very confusing and overwhelming even for a girl who thought she had seen everything. And she was not alone here either. A young man was right beside her. He apparently had been in a deep slumber like herself, and she assumed him to be just as confused about all this as she was. "Ugh... What happened...?" Danielle whispered to herself, as she tried to remember how she had gotten here in the first place. No matter how hard she tried, nothing would come up. It all was just a blank, white void. What about her home? Didn't Eirini need her still?

The Missing Pieces Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Missing Pieces   The Missing Pieces EmptyWed May 11, 2016 7:35 am

Out of nowhere, Samael found himself waking up on a foreign ground, and apparently a completely foreign space as well. For a few moments, he would stay laying down as he shook his mind fully awake, staring up at the unnatural sky above. Confusion aside, he would soon push himself into a sitting position as he glanced around. What and where...? He was already aware that inhuman forces existed, but this was certainly beyond what he would have considered as an everyday occurence. Samael was pretty sure he did not recognize this place, and it had...such an odd vibe too. Almost unpleasant in a sense. He couldn't really remember just how he actually got here either. Was it even possible to do some interdimensional travels from Erisia, or whatever this was supposed to be....?

He would sigh almost inaudibly. Perhaps searching around would give some form of understanding..? Before he could make a solid decision, his attention would be caught be the girl nearby. Wait, so he wasn't alone here? Even more strange than he originally thought. Actually, maybe not? If several people could pop up here, maybe it wasn't just some random mess up... Still, what was this place...? ''I'm guessing you don't have an idea as to where we are,do you..?'', he'd chance asking the girl, even though the likelyhood of her knowing was pretty low. But if it meant somehow getting closer to an answer, it was worth it. Samael wasn't liking this development, but it would appear that they didn't have much of a choice here...

The Missing Pieces Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Missing Pieces   The Missing Pieces EmptyWed May 11, 2016 8:00 pm

As the two spoke, they could feel powers they once received returning to the forefront of their minds. The others didn't know of each other's strength, but they knew of the power they received themselves; the power of the Wild Card. It had not returned to them completely, but it remained. It was as though they were borrowing splinters of what they had from before. Regardless, it felt like nothing was missing, and in fact they could grow even stronger over time. That being said, there was a choice to make. They could join together, or they could split up; where they even would go would be another choice. They had time to speak before the pull of either world would separate them by force...

Danielle nodded lightly in response to his question. "Sadly, No... I do feel like this is important though. I'm not liking this at all." That feeling was only reinforced further when she felt her powers, although somewhat altered, return to her. And that's when she turned her attention to the two orbs floating ahead of them in the distance. If he was here too, then maybe she alone couldn't do whatever task that awaited her. "I just... can't shake this feeling that something's terribly wrong." Looking at the Islands and the fleeting images of different locales from the other worlds didn't exactly look like they were in a paticularly good state. Not that it stopped with just that. It was almost as if these worlds... pulled them closer, as if begging for help. "I'm Danielle, by the way. Danielle Brooks." She'd offer the other man a handshake. Might as well get introductions out of the way before making any decisions. Her gut-feeling told her to go towards the worlds that were constantly shifting. Sure, it was a risk, but then again, so was going into the other one as well. All the locales looked very unfamiliar, so no matter which one she would take, she would be making a blind jump into the unknown. And despite this, it felt like the right thing to do. "What do you think of all this?"

PostSubject: Re: The Missing Pieces   The Missing Pieces EmptyThu May 12, 2016 8:26 am

''Something is certainly up.'' Samael would comment as he took another look at the scenery. It seemed unlikely that they were here just because, and even if that were to be the case, something about this wasn't right. Did those places they could see make use of the kind of powers some of them had back in Erisia...? Based on what just happened, that could be the case. How troubling. ''Well, it would seem we aren't here for sightseeing, that's for sure.'' It was obviously bad, that much he'd agree with, but the actual scale was up in the air for now. The idea of running headlong into other worlds was a little out there, however it appeared that they would be left with little choice in the end. Either go and see what's up...or sit around and wait for things to happen. The latter was a rather unproductive option. ''Samael Ryer.'', he would give his name in return, accepting the handshake with a nod. It was only the two of them for now, so they ought to at least get to know each other. Before whatever was going to happen actually happened. The future was uncertain right now, regardless of where they would end up...''Hard to say. I have no idea how the existence of different worlds works normally, but if we somehow fell in here, it probably means something is falling apart in the system. Maybe we'll need to fix it before we can go back where we came from safely. Where's the answer to the question is a question of its own though...'' Was it in one of those worlds on display? It was possible...

Danielle nodded. "And we're somehow involved in it... Or at least given the option to get ourselves involved." She replied with a thoughtful look on her face. "I feel like this isn't something we should ignore either. I don't know any of these worlds, but there's just... something about all this that makes me feel like there's more at stake here than just those worlds... Our own homes are probably involved in this somehow, and I don't want my home to suffer because I simply chose not to act." Besides, she had taken on the responsibility of a Wild Card for a reason, and she wasn't going to budge on that. Her determination to fix all this was firm. "Well met, Samael." She said with a smile as she shook his hand.

The Missing Pieces 1463cf31
"I agree completely. And I'm willing to go the extra mile to solve this issue."

Danielle looked at the two worlds again for a moment before her gaze would return their focus on Samael. "So, how do you wish to approach this? Do you want to join forces, or do you think it's better to split up, tackling the problem on two fronts?" Both worlds in front of them were obviously relevant, and splitting up allowed them both to take on the troubles of both worlds... but at the same time, that left the two unable to communicate, and exposed to larger threats. There was no telling what would truly meet them on the other side... it could be friends or enemies. It was all equally possible. Both plans had their pros and cons. While they could be more efficient as a single workforce, that would mean neglecting one of the two worlds altogether, hoping that it's residents could tackle the issue on their own. Danielle wasn't too fond of this latter idea, but splitting up wasn't a much better option.

Samael would rest his chin on one hand as he listened to her declaration. ''Is your primary reason for helping the possibility our world is in danger as well? There's no proof for that yet. This place seems like it connects different worlds, but we're only really seeing those two. How does this really affect us is unknown for now.'' There was still the question of whether they fell here by pure chance, or were pulled here for a specific reason. As it was, they had no way of knowing though. So all in all, they would have to get involved, if only to find out the cause behind their appearance here. He was still mildly curious about her motivations for this.

The Missing Pieces Amnesiaimage

''Well, I doubt it will be only us. I'd guess there are people in those worlds trying to deal with it as well. Otherwise it would be pretty bad.'' The two of them wouldn't be able to fix everything on their own, regardless of how strong they were. It's just not possible logically. ''There probably isn't a correct answer to that, since we have no way to tell which option is more efficient. Without knowing more than we do know, either works. Although, if it is a huge issue, it may be dangerous to split up right away.'' Besides, who knows? Maybe there was a way to travel between the worlds later on, not just now. There had to be a reason why those two in particular were shown.

Danielle would cross her arms in response to Samael's statement about their world. "Proof or no proof, it's a reason to fight nontheless. If my home's safe, then that's all the better. It won't change my mind about fighting though." It was just one of her many motivations for fighting. But the biggest one was her home, along with the duty she had taken on in the Velvet Room. And she couldn't turn back on this.

"Hrm... Yeah, you're right. There are probably others there as well. But seeing as we were pulled here for a reason, I just know it within me that whatever world we pick will have consequences for the other." She'd look at the two worlds again, with a puzzled look on her face before looking back at Samael again. "Hrm... I guess We're sticking together then. So... which one of the two do you want to go to? The one that's constantly changing has piqued my interest, I have to say." Why was it like that anyway? Could it be multiple worlds merged into one?

Samael would give her a half-smile at her response. ''I was just wondering what's got you this determined to help worlds you don't know. That's all.'' It's not that he wouldn't get himself involved or something, but it was certainly odd. These places they were seeing were foreign to them, so why were they put in the position to risk their lives for the unknown. At base, it is a different situation than contributing to the workings of your own world. In this case, they had no idea how much their interference would matter, or if it would even bring any good to what was already going on.

''There will be consequences to everything. We can't even know whether our appearance itself will be a positive or negative impact on this all. Maybe we are here for a reason, but for all we know, it could be less helpful one than we'd think. We're going into this blind regardless of what we choose.'' There was no telling. Not with something like this. He wasn't trying to be a pessimist here, but there are always many angles to look at. They knew nothing of what was happening in those places. Who's to say they wouldn't end up doing something they should not? ''I don't think I have a specific preference based just on what we can see right now. Appearance can be deceiving. If you want to try out that one, I'm fine with it though. Maybe there will be a way to travel around later as well.'', he would look around with a sigh. ''Though, why is it only these two? This place seems bigger than that for it to be as simple as this.'' Was it just a matter of making a pick between those? This area appeared to be pretty important afterall....

"Why I'm so determined? I took this role upon myself to protect those that were in trouble when I can. These worlds, and their inhabitants are in grave danger, and if I can do anything to stop it, I will take any opportunities I have." That may sound a bit strange, but that's how Danielle genuinely felt.

"Mhm... Well, we're gonna have to make a decision sooner or later anyway... I've already made up my mind on where I want to go. If you wish to follow me, or go your own separate path is up to you, Samael. I'm not going to make any decisions for you." A Way to travel between the two? That would make their job a lot easier, but it sounded... a bit too convenient to her. One could always hope though. "I... don't know... I wish I knew, but standing around here won't make us any wiser." Indeed. If they wanted answers, they'd have to actively look for them. Standing around asking these questions was pointless in the end, given how little context the two actually had on their current situation. "Have you made up your mind? If so, I think we should be going soon."

The Missing Pieces Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Missing Pieces   The Missing Pieces EmptyFri May 20, 2016 8:17 pm

Was that intended, or did she simply sound like she was describing a job of sorts? In a way, it reminded him of how duty bound some people in Erisia could be, so it shouldn't be too surprising. ''You sound rather heroic when you put it that way.'', he'd say in a leveled tone, taking the time to examine their surroundings a bit more meanwhile.

''I don't really expect you to.'' Although, if she didn't particularly care where he chose to go, why did she question him about whether they should stay together or split up then? She spoke like she was dead set on her path regardless of his opinion on the matter in the first place. Not that he even knew why, besides the fact that the odd world appeared to be somehow special compared to the one that didn't keep changing. That was the only thing that really set them apart as of now though. ''I'm not saying it will. I'm just trying to see options beyond what is served to us on a silver plate. A few minutes to think doesn't really kill anyone in most cases.'' In a dire situation it could, but they weren't in the middle of a battle now, nor would he think the worlds would collapse if they took 5 minutes more to move somewhere. If they were to, then they were beyond saving from the beginning.

He would cross his arms over his chest in thought. ''If you're that eager to go, then you can go ahead. I think I'll look around for a moment more. Perhaps I'll follow you in a bit.'' It was her call anyway, and he had no reason to stop her if she wanted to jump in right now. He didn't know how long could they stay here, but he would attempt to move around the space a bit to see if there was anything else to see in the immediate area besides the two worlds they had been starting at until now.

"Oh, Geez... Really? I'm not some kind of hero... I'm just doing what I think is right, that's all." Danielle scratched the back of her head awkwardly. She had never really seen herself as a hero. Sure, she had saved people back during the fight with that massive robot, but in the end, it had been Kalyan that had dealt the finishing blow, not her. So in the end, he was more of a hero than she was.

"Hrm... well, I'll leave that to you then. If you find anything, let me know when we meet up, okay?" She asked humbly, giving him a light smile. The purple haired girl would then turn to face the world which she had chosen, taking a deep breath. "Well... See you on the other side, Samael." And with that, she took the plunge into this new world, leaving Samael to make his decision on his own.

As Danielle left, a strange force seemed to pull him, towards the large sphere between the two worlds. The realm that Danielle didn't go to was pulling him as well, but it's strength paled in comparison to the power that the middle force had. It seemed to resonate with him. After all, it was the Core of all worlds.
