| Subject: Last Day in Ueitawa [Naito's Epilogue] Sat Mar 19, 2016 3:16 am | |
| The Tsurinai Family were all present here at the vacation home located on Nokawia Bay. Well, the entire family was present excluding a certain Tsurinai Naito who seemed to be missing from the equation. This would be their last day in Ueitawa before returning back on the road for their Father's business venture. Considering he was the new head of the Tsurinai Family after their Grand-Father's passing, they had been constantly on the road to make sure their current business partners were still on board with the change in management.
Naito and his siblings were sent to Ueitawa while their parents did their traveling. They didn't wish to rob their children of their youth as of yet; but in the future they would need to sharpen up to take the realms of the family business themselves. But considering Soki's lethargic behavior towards anything that did not pertain to science, Mikiana's childish antics with little maturity, and Naito's.. well..
"Old Man, I didn't know you were visiting today! I would have actually made it on time for this special occasion." A silver haired young man sat in the driver's seat of a car that surely didn't belong to him. To be completely honest, he didn't even know who it belonged too at the compound, but it was definitely Tsurinai property so he figured he'd take it out for a spin. He rose from his seat and pressed his fist against his chest to salute his father, even with the bread hanging from his lips. After a few seconds, he gave a thin smile as he took a bite from his lunch. His Father didn't seem to amused at his son's behavior, but he didn't necessarily scold him either. Unlike in a certain previous world where the two were at odds, they were very close in this world.
Tsurinai Naito had always shown promise in his family, from his studies to his swordsmanship. Even his knowledge of the unknown was superb of someone his age, but by no means was he some sort of prodigy in the family. The Tsurunai Clan had the resources to train their children at a young age specifically for the position they'd hold in the family in the future. Though, that didn't mean that particular child's own personality wouldn't show after awhile. Naito was the prime example of this. He had opted to go to school in Ueitawa while he was out here, and in the years he took classes there he had found his own group of friends, his own school clubs, and his own love interest. Yes, a love interest he spoke to his Mother and Father about constantly.
"That's strange.." His mother spoke as she looked around. She walked up to her son and looked behind him aswell. "Where's this young woman you've spoken so highly of. Destiny was her name? Well where is she?" His Mother continued to question him with crossed arms and a keen stare. Naito scratched his head as he gave a thin smile and looked towards the corner of his eyes. "Well, she's busy. Anyway, there's something I have to tell you all. About me leaving Ueitawa with you all today. I'd like to postpone this. I know it's important for me to get involved with the family business, but I can't just leave this place yet. I'd like to recommend Soki to take my spot in the next family meeting and I'll reunite with you all in a month."
Of course his parents were surprised at this. More-so, his sister, Soki, was shaking her head a million miles a minute. Tsurinai Setai, his Father, was quiet. He knew his son would soon explain this request, and that was exactly what Naito did without needing to be asked.
"Well, I've been having dreams about this place recently. I feel like there's something I'm forgetting. Something and someone... It could just be nothing, but also it could be my intuition kicking in. It is our job to investigate strange things like this, no? So I feel like I can't leave here. Not right now... I hope you understand, Father. Not until I remember what I've forgotten, and find this familiar something I've seem to have lost." The young Tsurinai spoke with a confident tone as he looked his Father in the eye. The Older man took a deep breath before placing a hand on his son's shoulder and walking pass him. This was all the approval Naito needed to know his Father was approving of his request. The Tsurinai Family were packing up to leave without him, and he knew he'd miss them. But Naito was always the type to finish a job; and this one felt undone. Well, he would take that back. It felt complete, but for all the wrong reasons. Atleast in this remaining month he'd be able to spend time with the people he had bonded with those years he went to school at Kizuna Academy. Leaving abruptly was cruel in itself. And if he remember this thing eating at him, then maybe it could truly all work out in the end.
But in the mean time, he looked at his wrist to check the time. He was totally late to for his three o'clock Destiny teasing session. Hopping back into the car he "borrowed" earlier; Tsurinai Naito was off. It would appear he'd be in Ueitawa for more weeks to come...
