| When Richard and Phalanx made it to Penecia Station, the state of the place was just like they had expected; Abandoned. Not a soul in sight. Not even the displays showing the times tables were on. And really, it was understandable. Everyone had taken their leave already when the Demons showed up. " Well, looks like this is where we'll split." Dorsey said with a faint smile at Phalanx. " Yeah. Be careful, boss. These demons are out for blood." The shadow nodded before summoning a black nodachi in his hands, letting the blade rest on his shoulder, as he tossed the cigarrette in his mouth to the ground, it's dim glow slowly dying out on the asphalt. " Don't worry about me, Phalanx. I'll be just fine. Make sure you find Joshua Bae if you can. I'll see what I can't find on my end." And with those parting words, the two split off, Phalanx heading into the tunnel going to Standasen, while Dorsey took the tunnels to San Malarus. Now, the two were on their own. The android's footsteps echoed in the empty tunnel. It really was an odd feeling, walking here underwater, when he had been traversing these very same tunnels using the tram system. Convenient at the time, but perhaps this walk would do him some good. To think over what had just happened with this... Morihiro Sada. Richard seemed fond of him, while Phalanx himself was in a different mindset altogether regarding the athlete. He was too powerhungry, and he seemed unreliable from his point of view. Not a trustworthy person at all to have by his side. And this is coming from one who sided with Theda Malice and Sky Akumura two years ago... the former of which had been killed by the hands of someone who he assumed to be a pawn of Nyarlathotep, just like himself, considering the god had reached out to the android asking him to kill Theda. Of course, he had refused it at the time, not wishing to stoop so low as to backstab her, but in the end, he managed to appease the god somehow. And now, he was going to enact those plans he had laid over the course of these two years. And it all started with a kid by the name of Joshua Bae. He had survived the event two years ago, which was an admirable feat all on it's own, which he had to commend the young man for. It was tough times back then, and now... he had no doubt in his mind that the brat was still alive. No way he could've passed away after something like this. So... why Standasen? Why had the android chosen that island of all places? Well, for one, the crash-site. Something he had been... unaware of when he had first landed on Azores. The Box had contained a small black box which not only detailed the reason why the UAV had crashed in the first place... it also contained info on Phalanx himself. Info he didn't wish anyone to have. Everything from his inner workings to classified information that had to be retrieved at all costs... and of course, the mission details to the contact in Ueitawa. So, naturally, he had to get his hands on it, no matter what the cost. - Stats:

| Inside the tunnels he could see the strange golden waters flow above the railways. The subways were down, but apart from that it didn't appear to have suffered any damage... | |

| Well... the water was sure a bit strange. That golden glow eminating from the strange liquid would require some... investigation later. What was it that Sada said...? That the demons were coming from the sea? So... was the sea just a massive portal to some alternate dimension, or some such? Like the rifts from two years ago? The android pondered this as he kept on walking through the tunnels. If his theory was correct, then diving into the ocean would indeed bring him someplace else. A future worth considering. Aside from the glowing golden water, if it could even be called water at this point, nothing was really standing out. The subways had somehow escaped damage despite the calamity that was going on uptop. Did... the demons not know of the Subways? Or had they just not gotten that far in their invasion yet? Keeping on the lookout for anyone looking to ambush him, Phalanx continued on his solitary walk through the tunnels, and he would make it to the other side in due time, if nothing or no-one decided to get in his way. " Soon..." --- On Richard Dorsey's end, everything was basically the same. Nothing to him really stood out, aside from the golden waters surrounding the transparent tunnel. He had come to the same conclusion as Phalanx had just by looking at it. Judging by the information given to him by the android on the past events, this ocean... might serve the same function as those rifts did two years ago. It didn't take a genius to figure that out, since these Demons were hardly creatures of the sea, from his understanding. Likewise, if nothing stopped his progression, he would eventually reach San Malarus island in one piece. | |
