She'd wanted chaos, all right!

The moment Mary had set foot on this island, Mary had wanted to sow chaos because her powers had been inexplicably sealed. She hadn't just reverted to the point where she began training. Recruiting that boy, setting up her rituals; it had all been for the express purpose of creating enough chaos to siphon enough magical energy to spark her powers.

Damn if she didn't get her wish. As she walked through the streets of Lunapen's closest thing to a metropolitan area, the demons poured from the sky. From the look of things, most of them were heading to Standesen. But they weren't all heading that way. They were killing people here too. And there were few words to express the amount of joy that this brought her. She laughed almost drunkenly as she gripped the corpse of a dead person, possibly only minutes dead.

Oh yeah. This would do it. But it wasn't enough. She needed another spark. She needed something to really get her blood boiling.

(Well I'm using the Battle Guide mostly. Oh, and I understand that if these guys are boss monsters this initial attack will probably be useless, but hey. What the hell, some of the bosses are occasionally weak to ailments )
A blood red aura enveloped her right hand as she stared down the demons. Their eyes burned with a bloodlust that she recognized from her own soul. That's right. She'd forgotten why she fought! The humans behind her panicked as the demons approached. She didn't make a move, not yet. Instead, she simply smiled and drank in their fear. Oh yes. This was precisely what she needed. Motivation to do as she always had. To kill.

"Oh look... fodder."

She wasn't sure if she was talking to her fellow demons or to the humans around her as the words left her mouth. Possibly both? An Evil Smile cross her lips as she tightened her grip on her sword and let her long-lost magic soar from her in blood-red streams towards the demons.

As the sickening essence of the Mothman washed over her, it was all she could do not to gag. Still, she controlled herself and grinned maliciously at the creatures before her. She had no idea if this plan was going to work. But still, it was worth a shot. Her evil grin vanished as the magic within her began to well up. This was power. This was safety. This was what she missed. She let out a horrid cry as the crimson magical energies exploded from within her and branched out towards the enemies nearby. Mothman wouldn't feel a thing. No, he wasn't the one the spell was targeting.

Ghastly Wail:

(On a side note, the abilities says nothing about having a hit chance. However, I know that bosses and players take the latter effect instead of the former. Will this be the case here?)

Wow, good catch on Mothman actually being feared. It'd been so long since I used that move that when I came back I forgot that the petrify chance only took effect because it was afraid. Oh well. Updating my sheets and progress tracker.
