Shima has slightly messy dark brown hair that hangs down to cover his right eye, dark brown eyes and pale skin. He has a lean body with little to no body fat on him. Shima wears light blue glasses (not necessary to see with), a thin black long sleeve shirt and dark blue jeans. Shima stands at 5.9 feet and weighs 160 lbs.

When Shima wears his Persona mask, his normally brown hair turns jet black that covers his left eye, his eyes turn a vibrant red, an eye patch over his left eye and his skin turns an almost sickly pale color. He wears a black gas mask that covers his entire face except his eyes, with a dark grey hoodie over a black shirt and ripped jeans.

Personality: Shima is a polite yet firm person, he is considered to be a no-nonsense type of person. Shima is also very studious and has a reputation of being very smart because people often see him reading or the like. Though he seems polite, in reality he is a bit apathetic to his surroundings as a result of his upbringing, he acts polite because he doesn’t want to stand out. When in his alternate appearance, Shima becomes more apathetic and more soft-spoken, which is closer to his true personality than his public identity. In his spare time, Shima tends to participate in an underground fighting ring and is recognized as a powerful fighter, known to be able to defeat multiple opponents at once.

The Background

History: Shima Fumihiro was born to unknown parents, though his family wasn’t very well off financially, Shima was content with his life. But one day, when he was young, his parents were falsely accused of several cases of murder and were killed when the police came to arrest them. Shima was only able to survive because his parents hid him away. Shima was forced to live in the streets because their house and assets were seized by the government, and because his parents neglected to register him to the government, he doesn’t officially exist.
With no identity or other options, Shima changed his name and moved to the slums, entering himself into an underground fighting ring to get the funds to survive. Time and time again he would be beaten to near death in the ring and was only able to earn enough money to keep him alive. Those experiences hardened him, making him tougher with every fight in the ring, forced to face death on a near daily basis, Shima had to learn quickly. In the ring, where a moment’s hesitation would cost him dearly, Shima learned to fight decisively, he allowed no wasted movement. He learned to think logically, he learned to harden his heart, because sympathy had no place in the slums. As he grew up, Shima became a well-known fighter, earning his moniker, the Breath Taker, because of his vicious strikes that leave his opponents gasping for air, his new popularity in the ring has helped him immensely, gaining him important contacts in the criminal underworld.
Now older and changed from his time in the slums, Shima takes to a new field, the Academy. There he adopts a new personality, polite and studious, but he hasn’t forgotten what happened to his parents, and continues to seek vengeance against the people who have wronged him, by any means necessary.
