So that was it. Everything was over and done with. Ananke was gone, Thesis nowhere to be found, Nesoi was dealt with, and Gonea had dissipated. Humanity can now see another day without having to worry about supernatural forces influencing their everyday lives. It was over, at a cost of someone's life. The Persona Users have saved the day and everything should be alright.
"Mmn..." Joshua tiredly rubbed his eyes as he held onto his glasses before slipping them back on. He had just moved onto a new job. The convenience store was too lonesome and he had to learn how to communicate with people better anyway. A busy cafe should do that, and a busy one usually was open for new employees.
He could hear his employer grinding the coffee beans in the back of the shop as customers kept talking about their day and called for more for the brown caffeinated drink. Joshua had washed his hands accordingly to the regulations, of course.
But, everything about it felt... empty. There had been excitement back when he had to use Bedivere, Joshua had to admit. He was scared, there was no doubt about that. Yet, it broke the monotony of his life. He felt special for once for having some power to help save the world. How immature and selfish. Joshua liked playing a hero, it seemed. But he thought better of it.
He wasn't a hero. He was just a guy and nothing more. And maybe, that was alright. But, he would just have to see how the future will treat him from now on. There are still people he knew that still live in this city. Especially that one guy who broke his window by crashing his bike into it and Rinna who he still never heard back from just yet. So at least, he wasn't alone.
Joshua could hear someone order for a latte and he cracked a small grin as he was just pouring black coffee for another patron.
"One latte, coming up!"[END]
