Shin Megami Tensei and Persona belong to ATLUS. We own nothing, and have simply used their data to create a world of our own. They are the true geniuses behind the scenes.
They found themself once again on their roof, looking over the city from the highest part of the house. They took a deep breath before closing their eyes, tilting their head up as they heard a voice slowly begin to speak, the soft tone making them feel safe again. 'Child, you're feeling a bit stressed, is there something I can do to help?' They'd laugh, rolling their closed eyes. 'Obviously not, I can't even summon you or Genovefa right now, and I probably won't be able to for a long time.' They grabbed their evoker, playing with it in their hand. 'This thing is basically useless right now, but I don't think I'll be able to let it leave my side for a long time.' Raising the evoker to their head, they pulled the trigger, but only heard a slight click like one a toy gun would make. They'd sigh in frustration, strapping the evoker back onto their leg. A familiar laugh rang through their head as the voice that resembled a witch echoed within their mind. 'Hehahahaha, this isn't the last time you'll see us kid, we'll always be here with ya. I promise I won't let ya go a day without hearing my beautiful voice.' She was right...
Opening their eyes, they'd look back up at the sky. They couldn't tell why, but it still felt like the world had a bit more tension left in it, but at the same time it seemed that everything was wrapping up. The past few months had gone by so fast, and everything had changed for them, in a good way of course. They had truly found themself with the help of their friends and loved ones, plus this entire pointless event. Before they had their persona, they had just thought that they were genderfluid, which wasn't all that true because they didn't even feel like they had a gender to be fluid about. If anything they were agendered, but for now non-binary fit them best because they were still trying to discover themself. As they looked down, they saw the family car pull up, along with several little ones behind it taking up most of the driveway. It looked like their family had finished up in Wales and was back home for awhile. But in a year, this manor became theirs and they were ready to take it over and become an adult with a life of their own. Harley was talking their winter vacation home in Canada and their parents were moving back to Wales with their brothers. Everything seemed to be working itself out for the time being.
They'd wave to their family getting out of the cars, watching workers carry the luggage in. Their mother waved back and Sidney did as well, but they all quickly moved inside, probably wanting to get in their rooms and sleep a bit; after all, the sun was starting to make it's way to the horizon. But everything quickly changed, and the sky seemed to be lighter, along with everything under it. For once in a long time, they felt like everything was the way it should be, even though they may never know what happened or why this event really ended. It was strange, feeling like it was over but not knowing for sure, and feeling like they still might have to look over their shoulders to see if another threat would appear and take over without warning. Maybe that was the curse for persona users, be tasked with saving the world over and over again, without it ever ending. Or, this could be the end and maybe they wouldn't have to deal with another event like this again, only time would tell really.
The power of persona was strange to them, and it wasn't something they understood fully yet, and they may never understand it period. As long as they knew that a persona is directly related to the person and is usually brought about to change the person's way of thinking. They didn't have to face their shadow until they tried to obtain their prime persona, so they must not have had as much development as someone who fought both of them. That didn't really matter to them though, because they had developed enough over the past few months that they didn't need any of that fancy stuff, just as long as they could still defend their friends when they needed to. Protecting everybody was the only reason they even needed a persona, so why would they need more power if they already had enough power to keep everyone safe.
For now, all there was to do was to continue moving forward, and hope nothing else happens to the region afterwards. Of course they don't care as much if someone decided to challenge the peace, because they knew they could handle anything like that thrown at them as long as they had people by their side. They'd snap back to reality, out of their thoughts, and look towards the driveway again. All the cars were gone, so that must mean their family was settled back into the house. Maybe it was time that they greeted them and explained what happened, leaving out any supernatural things of course. Standing up, they'd look at the sky one more time; it looked so beautiful like this, and they had never noticed how much they liked the color blue that was in the sky. Without wasting another second, they would hop down onto the balcony outside their window, moving into the house and out their room.
They could hear voices of their family laughing in the study, which was only two floors down, along with the footsteps of the maids moving quickly back and forth upstairs. Making their way down the large set of stairs, they'd move down two floors, moving into the study. Their little brothers ran up and greeted them, smiling and laughing as they said their hellos. Harley sat quietly but nodded at them, which is the first reaction they've seen from her in over two years. Their mother stood up and gave them a nice hug, smiling down at them. After they had all greeted each other, Quinn sat down with the rest of them, trying to explain what they did for the past few days, mostly avoiding the prime awakening and saving the world. It didn't make sense to even make their family think they were crazy, especially since they had never shown signs of being crazy in the first place.
In all honesty, they didn't know what was going to happen next, or what would even happen in the next few days. But that didn't matter anymore, because they knew that tomorrow they would still be friends with everyone, and still have the protection of the world on their shoulders. This was, like Jack would say, and intermission. Or more like a break, from season to season, because they could feel their battle wasn't truly over. This was a break they were given, and they were going to take it and try to get their life together before the next problem showed up. Even if there wouldn't be a problem in the region for a long time, or in their life time, they would still be prepared for the worst. In fact, they knew next time around, they would be there and ready to face any hardship thrown at them without hesitation. Because they were a persona user, and they knew exactly what to do to save the world. Hero or not, they would do just that no matter what the cost. And that would be their code to live by for the rest of time.
