| After such a long time, here she was. Even after Nesoi was defeated, here she was. Waiting patiently, the young User stood with her back facing the door, looking out into the depths of the ocean. She didn't know how long she was here for yet, but there was someone she had to talk to.
"My Praetor, is this it?" Silver... no, now somewhat more golden hair swung from side to side.
"No, I'm fairly sure this is just another step... I'm not convinced about what happened, there's still something I feel... just isn't right." Rita grasped her chest with her right hand, covered by a finger-less black glove. A golden bracelet sat on her wrist just like with the other hand. She was dressed up for this too, trading her outfit out for something that allowed her to move more freely.
"It's about Him, isn't it? We used Latin in Rome but I could gather from your knowledge why it struck such a chord. My Praetor, I will still follow you anywhere." The shorter Persona reached up and placed a hand on her User's shoulder. She had tried to pick a time when no Attendants would be around, but maybe there was no such luck... she wanted to be alone, felt that it would be best for them to talk in private. Nero stood by this decision, as they both waited for the person they called. Hopefully they would be here soon...
"Nesoi... the islands. In Greek mythology, they were a group of deities that were cast aside as mountains and exiled to the see, becoming these masses of land. I... don't think it's accidental. Why is this Room even a ship wreck, for that matter...? Were we supposed to sink?" Sharp crimson eyes narrowed as they were turning a different shade. Rita noticed this by now, the power Hou-ou had gotten from that last battle was eager to come out, and in a supernatural setting, it was only more obvious. It wouldn't arise by itself, though, it would stay as a simple disturbance until released... hell, it was only noticeable after a while, even.
Nevertheless, she waited, looking off to the side and thinking... pondering her choices, her desires and her goals. What was going to happen in the future? Hell, did she want to know? So many people... did she want to leave them and stick around here? Not really... they were family, right? A family she always wanted...

| Simon was certainly surprised and yet not to hear from Rita. He was suspicious about her for a while, but he trusted her in a way. She did steal his stuff though, but he wasn't exactly upset about that. He was more curious than wary about what Rita wanted. He would show up in the ship, and take several steps near her after finding her. "So, what's this all about? Are we going to talk about what happened, or other things? Not gonna lie, I haven't exactly trusted you too much since I discovered you had powers. But I know you're a good person like the others. What did you need? If it's nothing important I will probably leave. I want to rest and prepare for Gonea before it all dies down." | |

| Rita turned around to face the bespectacled man, her eyes already turning a nice shade of blue alongside her hair becoming golden. It was starting to get obvious, but she had already let it come out."I don't want to beat around the bush anymore. There are things you've been hiding, information I wanted to find out, and never got. I heard of your words in the rally, we almost had the same idea, but it never quite aligned..." She was indeed still the same person, even if now her appearance had changed not out of her own will, but by the power Hou-ou himself got. Was this what she wanted before? To be someone different? No, she learned that appearances didn't matter from Rin, Rita was still the same Rita even if her hair was golden now, and her eyes had lightened. She didn't look albino anymore, after all.
"My friends told me that you were willing to ask civilians to help you in defeating the Primordials and the Angels... I have also heard you're a Fallen Angel yourself, but I'm sure you're not surprised about that." Rita closed her eyes. "You have a greater connection with the Angel at the Tower than you let us know, don't you? The letter I found under a fake drawer bottom at the library seems to indicate such. You also never told us what you could do to eliminate the Angels and Primordials so thoroughly. Simon, I think it's time we learned the truth. Just like with Nesoi before, I want to hear your motivations. I didn't get the chance then, but we're both human beings, I would like for us to give each other a shot." When Rita opened her eyes, Nero disappeared, but her presence was still there. That Persona he called forth in the final battle... and that card he brought on, Rita wanted to know their meaning, their purpose. She also slipped a hand into her pocket and removed two pieces of paper, one crumbled, and one not.
"And about the Mother... I don't think you have to worry about that. We will be just fine." Call it an overly positive attitude, but if there was one person that taught her how to stick to your nature and keep everyone motivated even in the direst moments, it was Jack. She aspired to keep a smile on her face no matter the situation because of him. If you don't smile, how will you make others smile?

| Simon smirked a bit. Of course she knew. A lot of people actually did now. It hardly mattered at this point though. When she brought up Angel however, Simon frowned. "Who she was was someone who meant a lot to me. If you can guess, she was once human like me before we became Angels. Though I have returned she has not. And that's all that is worth talking about, since right now it doesn't matter anymore. She was someone I cared for a lot, as you saw." Perhaps he would have gone into more detail, but it was all over, and such matters are not important when eventually he may have to fight her himself...
But Simon was not as certain as Rita. "I fail to agree. I don't plan to entrust it all to someone else. Finding Gonea is something I need to do. I will go there myself if I have to. It hasn't been long, and I don't want to keep everything waiting. I just want peace here. ....Is that all?"

| "Someone you cared a lot for? What if I told you she cared just as much for you? I noticed the way she felt when I spoke of you to her, it hurt her. She wanted you back, Simon." Maybe Rita couldn't speak for Angel, but she knew what she saw. "And even then... I won't blame you for wanting to take it into your own hands, but that doesn't answer my questions. Trust me when I say I've been nothing but truthful to you, and I want to trust you as well, but I need to know what you were going to do if Hyde hadn't stepped up and given his life for your cause. It isn't fair to him to keep it hidden, it isn't fair to any of us that have followed you and listened to you." During the battles, Rita felt doubt, about him, about her path, about what they were doing. Could she place her trust in Simon? Hell, she sure wanted to.
"Everyone has at least some hand in this, you do not need to be involved in everything. The Mother isn't hurting us, and you said yourself you wanted to rest, so let's talk for a while, Simon." She extended a hand towards the open chairs near the entrance. There was no reason not to take a seat here.
"I want peace just as much as you do. That's why I can't sit idly knowing that this Event could have gone a much different path. What was that card, Simon? I didn't note the number, but it isn't one I recall from my deck." The now-blonde stepped forward, looking at Simon in the eyes. She would get an answer today if she could, there was nothing stopping her from getting one but one man's mouth.

| Simon frowned. "I would believe it. But it wouldn't change what I feel. But you're right. Had Hyde not done what he did....I probably would have given my life to protect you all, and kick you all out. That's why I told you to run, so you all wouldn't be sealed with me. I have an ability that would have surely been successful, just like something Hyde had." Simon clutched his fists. He didn't have to die. But perhaps he was meant to. He didn't know what to think at that. "I have been doing this for the sake of the world. I am tired of other forces invading and causing trouble. Both Angels and Demons have done nothing but hurt us. My motivations haven't changed since I died." He didn't seat when addressed, and laid his back to the wall. He knew Rita was just being friendly, and he appreciated that. Perhaps they simply had different ways of thinking. | |

| She looked somber, did he simply not care for Angel anymore? In another way, could she be met again, with the Mother at the Tower? "I see, I suppose I can't change those feelings. Do you think that's the right way to do things, though? I considered the option as well, but what about what we'd leave behind? Hyde accomplished his mission, he had to die in the end... and those who were friends with him, including me, felt a void in their heart. Don't you have people that would miss you? If I tried to do that, I'd make my whole family sad... even if we're not tied by blood." Lia taught her this and many other things. If she had given her life as well, how could she face them afterwards? When Lia and her returned to the circus, everyone greeted them, hugged them, they were all worried.
"That was one view I agreed with until I saw the Mother myself. I simply can't believe someone like her wanted anything but the best for us. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I wouldn't write off the possibility that maybe, just maybe... she didn't want to change us at all..." It was more of a random feeling than anything else, Rita never knew the Mother's true intentions, but she felt sad when she appeared in front of her like that. What was she trying to do, all in all? What did she want them to do?
"You still haven't told me what that card was... the one you summoned when you called for the other Persona. I remember you summoning one called Grey during the battle with Ananke, so what was that one? It's not really uncommon for Users to have more than one Persona, but I'm curious." She herself had two Personae available to summon, both at the peak of their strength. Each of them had something they could do, and did it well enough for Rita to always have a situation where one would out-perform the other. Was this Persona he summoned at the fight with Nesoi something like that?

| "Well, hardly any of you found me during this and talked to me, so no. I don't think I would be missed. It's probably better that way." Simon hardly talked to many of them save for a short view. What was worth talking about? He wanted a nicer ending than this. "Regardless of what they thought, breaking away is still necessary. Even if they just wanted to give us the option, we could have done it ourselves. We didn't need them."
When Rita asked about his card, he pursed his lips. "It's an Arcana. Something I was able to come across with some help during this time. Think of it as a World. I've basically hit a peak with a new power. It's hard to explain unless you experience it for yourself. But I imagine it varies depending on person to person." Simon explained.

| "That's wrong, there's always someone who will miss you. You don't need to be attached to people for them to mourn you, after all. I use my relationship with Hyde for this; we were never close, but that doesn't mean I don't miss him. If you were the one to sacrifice yourself, do you think we'd be happy or commend your decision? It would have been the same, we would mourn you and feel saddened." Maybe Simon was right when he said he didn't have close people to him, and maybe he wasn't really as social as Hyde was, but in the end, why did it matter who they were? The price was the same, although maybe the result would have been different.
"I can get behind not needing their help, I don't think humanity needed it either, but was it so bad? There were a lot of awful thing this event brought on... death, for example. Hyde wasn't the only person I lost to this whole case, regardless of whether it was direct or not. But even then, I don't think things would have turned out the same if it didn't happen. I'm thankful to the Mother for giving us the chance, and while I think we didn't need it, it still made us who we are. I understand your point, but I don't think it's right to hate someone because of this call... even if parents need to learn when to stop interfering." Adair understood it after a talk, he came to know that the best for Lia was letting her realize the dangers herself, so she could grow and find out what life was like once she got her Persona. The performer had a hand in this, but Rita wasn't eager to know how it would have turned out had she not met Adair that day at the hospital.
"A World...? I read about The World from the standard Tarot Decks. It's odd how this is all based around the Tarot but maybe it simply follows suit. I... wish I could know this power, though. I'm not satisfied with myself, I can understand my view but others' are a lot harder... I want to try and understand life, why I had to be here for this Event. Fate has a strange hand, and I would like to know why it gave me this one." Did she need to do it? Rita wasn't sure. She wanted to understand but maybe that wasn't necessary. The only way she could figure out her purpose was by living and interacting with others, getting their help, knowing their side. Why was she so eager to be alone before?
"Simon, I have a request. To understand The World better... I want to face it in combat. Will you spar with me, this one final time, before it's all over?" An honest-to-goodness request. By learning about the Arcana that both her sister and Simon had received in their journey, she hoped to understand just why her tarot was what it was. The Sun, happiness, discovery, forging your own path... in the end, all her life followed this Arcana, didn't it? And so the Sun shone down on her through the layers of water."One final match, to settle our differences. But... if I win, please tell me... what happened when you were an Angel. What do you say?"

| Simon smirked a bit. Rita had more spunk than the last time he saw her, and yet she was a different person. However...
"No. I don't have the time for a fight. I respect you, even though you're more willing to forgive than I. But I don't want to spend the time with a fight when we could be doing other things. Maybe when this is all over we can spend the time to practice, but right now Gonea is our biggest threat." Simon understood what she was getting at. One couldn't see the World so easily. Perhaps she was getting there, but he wasn't convinced a fight would help. Either way, there were more important things to do.

| Easily, this caused the blonde to frown, looking away. "I don't have any more time here. By the end of this month, the Biggest Top is leaving, and I'm going with it. This is the last opportunity I have to try and understand the extent of this power, I can't waste it. I wish I could experience that kind of power myself, but it isn't that what'll bring it to me... so the only other option I have is to watch someone who does have it." Her hands curled into fists, she needed to get this out of her system. Would it help? Maybe not, but what happened in the Velvet Room wasn't bound by their rules, they could still have time today to do whatever they wanted... this was why she chose the sunken ship.
"Simon, have you ever visited this room before? I heard it wasn't exactly... physical, more like a dream than anything. It's a sunken ship too, for some reason... but I can't help but feel that it is somehow tied to the way we were supposed to go. I'm not satisfied with it ending this way. Maybe it's selfish of me to want personal satisfaction from such an Event, but I can't let it go this easily. There are still mysteries... I want to solve them. If you are going to meet Gonea soon, I'd like to go with you, to observe before I can pass judgment for certain. Don't get me wrong, though... I have no intention of fighting her if that outcome can be avoided." Her bracelets shone in the brief light of the Sun. They were almost raring to go, these things... but her request was still there.
"We still have the time today... I wouldn't like to keep you but I'll have no other chance after this... call it a feeling, but I don't think we'll retain our powers after the Mother leaves us for good." She was direct, it was almost obvious. With the Father gone and the alternate worlds sealed, the only place they could summon their Persona was the Velvet Room. To her knowledge, it wouldn't stick around forever, so what would come of it? Her decision was justified in this sense, there was literally no other time for her to ask this.

| "I am well aware that the Velvet Room is just a small second in the other world. But I still don't think a fight is the right answer. I am sure our powers will always stay with us. It will probably be the same as it was always; us not being able to use them in our own world. And honestly, it's just better that way. I'm long tired of using these powers," He said, pausing for a moment. "You can come with me, but I don't want to spend more time and patience on anything else than I need to." | |

| The answer only made her bring a hand to her chin. Rita wondered and pondered, not saying a word for a few seconds. She fidgeted around, feeling a bit uncomfortable, what was she expecting?
"...you're not as nervous was I was expecting, for some reason." The blonde took another step, looking at Simon's face and putting her hands on her hips, almost as if inspecting something. "I thought I heard rumors around school about you being awkward around girls, now I'm curious if that was true or not." Her eyes fluttered and narrowed, she was suspicious. What would Simon say to this? Ah well, maybe he was just trying to stay serious, but it only now struck her how different he was from what she thought.
"That said... I'd like to know what happened in the past. Something made you leave the Angels, right? Getting away from that, how did you even become one of them?" She was curious. Maybe it wasn't extremely important, but it was worth it to ask. "I'd still like to try and understand what made you leave in the first place, though... It's honestly interesting to me. Even if it's unnecessary, that doesn't mean we can't talk about it, right?" All the blonde wanted was to talk if Simon was up to it. It didn't take time, it helped them rest and clear their mind, and maybe it could spark something in her. Although, there was another question on her mind... but she didn't want to pose it yet.

| Her putting her hands on her hips seemed to do something. Simon chuckled a bit and lifted his head away from her a bit, as though avoiding her. "I uh....let's say those rumors weren't unfounded. But I can certainly focus on other things instead of that. Aha...ha...I used to hide it all behind a thick layer of confidence. I am just now honest about it." he said, looking away from her fully this time, before eyeing a few fish that swam by. "I left them after some time. I thought I could help watch over Humans, give these powers a second chance. But I learned what Gonea was planning, to challenge Humans to see what they wanted. My role would have been to help Angel watch you all, and monitor you personally while Angel kept the general population in the loop. I did not agree with her views. So I challenged Gonea themself back when I didn't have as much strength."
He looked up nostalgically, like the conflict was so long ago. And it kind of was. It was such a painful experience. He wondered why he was remembering it now.
"But let's just say after that I left them, and I came to Azores, got a job here, and watched over you all until Gonea began their ordeal. That is basically the gist of my perspective, any questions student?" he said, adjusting his glasses.

| Rita didn't hold it back now, she gave out a satisfied smirk, as if she accomplished a goal, then backed off and shrugged. "Oh really? Well, I wish I could see how far that went. If I wasn't taken, maybe I'd try and do more. Well, if I even went that way." She chuckled and crossed her arms, letting out a deep breath. For a little bit, was he amused there? The blonde knew she was, with such a reaction.
Rita listened intently before letting out a snicker. "So in the end, you just did what you were told to do? Yeah, maybe you left them, but if you watched over us anyway, there wouldn't be a difference, would it? Wouldn't it have been easier to go along with Gonea's plan until you had a better chance to oppose it? I mean, if you were going to come here anyway, y'know?" She shook her head but kept calm, nodding. Despite her questioning, she could figure out the logic behind that decision, it wasn't like most would choose to stay allied with someone to then betray them later, or most good guys wouldn't. She knew she herself would be up front about it, she won't follow something she doesn't believe in.
"Simon, I only have two more questions... then I suppose we could get going to the Tower if you want. I'd like to get ready as well." Letting her arms drop, the blue-eyed User took a deep breath, calling back to the fight with Nesoi. "When we were in the Primordial's home thing or whatever it was... near the end of the battle, I was caught by one of those cages Nesoi threw at us, but when I was, I felt something, a kind of light, trying to protect me. Afterwards, it sort of vanished, but I could still feel it within me, and now..." Well, she didn't know. She tried to feel inside herself, looking for whatever was in there, and trying to bring it out... "What was that feeling? Even during the times I have awakened, nothing compared to it, it's bothering me..." Rita was torn. On one hand, she wanted an answer; on the other, she wanted to discover it by herself. But was asking for help really that bad? Hm... She would save the other question for when this one got an answer, though, no use going questioning overload here right now.
