| It had been a while since Nozomi had met with Shunnosuke it seemed. He had found himself in a local San Malarus park as he was deciding to actually get off his ass and physical train his boxing skills. He hadn't been in the club for a while because frankly the school was covered in sand and that mean't no school or nothing else pretty much. He wondered if he would become "stupid" and not know of anything school related for a year nearly. Then again it was reopening next year supposedly from what he had heard lately from other people. He was beating against a very hard oak tree for his target. Frankly it wasn't like there were many people around him at that moment. In fact there wasn't really anyone there where he was. You could say the area was rather secluded. As he was releasing a flurry of blows against the Tree. Nozomis sick punching skills were all like Boom!
Kapow! Fshschchhch!Except that really wasn't at all how his punches were going!....And he was making his own sound effects In fact Nozomi was dealing normally quick but experienced blows against the tree on the frank. Nothing supernatural or fancy. He hadn't trained in a while and figured he could use it now anyway. Could come back to save him right? If anyone were to stumble upon Nozomi's little show right now they would walk upon the Boy beating the living hell out of a tree in a refined way while probably making his own sound effects. |

| He had been visiting San Malarus quite often lately. The reasons were a bit confused even to his own. Shunnosuke really didn’t have much to do there that would drag him all the one from Penecia. Perhaps shopping, if he were to pick one thing that catches his interest to the point it makes the traveling worth it, but even so he’d probably find better goods at Penecia. Or the internet. Though this wasn’t truly the case right now; he just felt like visiting San Malarus for no apparent reason, changing airs… or perhaps there was a reason, lurking in his subconsciousness, who’s to tell?
Whatever it is, Shunnosuke’s steps led him to a remote park that seemed a bit isolated from the regular crowded urban area. Good, frankly, he found a place to relax a bit before walking some more. Well, his father was the one who lately began giving health advice on how sedentary and inactive Shunnosuke is, how it could potentially harm him in the future, yada yada. Every kind of advice the teenager could live without, and therefore he quickly discarded them. Apparently mending their relationship had a side effect: Mr. Leighton became a much more present, and meddlesome, father. Shunnosuke caught himself wondering if it was better if they kept the rather protolocar relationship they had before; in any event, he wouldn’t think about it for long, as some...odd sounds distracted him. Like…blows? Or something like that? A moment of quiet search and he found the source: a guy incessantly beating a tree. Not every guy, but one guy he knew well enough.
“Oh my. What the…?”, he thought, considering the idea of calling him out. On the other hand, it would be way funnier if he approached him in silent steps, Nozomi seemed to be so focused to barely realize Shunnosuke’s intrusion anyway. Childishly mischievous? Absolutely. Was a precocious teenager going to skip this little pleasure not suitable for his age? No way.
— No matter how hard you punch the poor tree, you’re still Nerdzomi. — He said, poking the taller’s shoulder from behind with giggles. Should Nozomi actually turn his attention to his back for a moment, he’d find the owner of the high-pitched voice: Shunnosuke. Arms crossed, one eyebrow raised, voice lilted with mischief and an expression of someone who’s doing his best to not burst into laugh. Now, what possibly have this singular tree done to deserve such treatment was beyond him. All in all, the scenery was hilarious; should he ask why he’s restlessly sublimating his anger on nature? — I commend you for the sound effects. They really add some character to the scene.

| Nozomi would continue releasing blows at a rapid rate against the tree. This was his finest moment. Boom motherfucker. He felt like the old spice guy when he crashed into peoples houses. Except that wasn't exactly what he really did for a living or whatever. Well that didn't matter. Nozomi was having the prize fight of his life. Not noticing Shunnosuke walking up to him. This was his biggest moment Yep. Kichida vs OakenField. The fight of a lifetime. The fight was so intense. It was blowing the audience away. When all of a sudden Nozomi was completely interrupted from what he did ot expect at all. Shunnosuke's voice and getting poked from behind.Though he did not recognize Shunnosuke at all and would react accordingly CrakaTala! The boy would shout taking the following pose and pulling out a pair of Nunchaku as if he was advertising them from out of nowhere Except he would then suddenly notice it was Shunnosuke that had appeared behind him. and called him NerdZomi once again...Fantastic. Heh Please.Your talking to the ultimate light weight champ Nozomi Kichida. The term Nerdzomi has no meaning here. You were missing the greatest fight ever. Me vs Oakenfield. It was so intense the Audience got Blown away.He would say jokingly to shunny.Probably laughing his ass off as he did this. Yeah eh. The sound effects really added to it haha. So what brings you around here?I was just practicing my actual moves and stuff. It was a rather odd sight for shunnosuke to suddenly wander in on his secluded extra special training montage. He wished he could skip it by nine hours but he was stuck at regular person speed. |

| Nozomi versus Oakenfield, huh? He had to admit his “opponent” had a very…suitable name on its own. Now, Nozomi was really sounding like Hyde. He did sound somewhat silly and clumsy over his enthusiasm with his training, exactly as the redhead would do. Whether it was a weakness trait or an endearing trait, he wasn’t sure yet.
— You mean, the audience ran away? — He said, chuckling contemptuously. Well, there was no audience left, save for Shunnosuke himself. Even if there was some previously, he could totally see people leaving to do something more interesting and entertaining with their time, specially after Nozomi pulled a nunchaku out of nowhere. He better know how to handle that stuff or he could potentially hurt somebody. And himself. — Hm…nothing? I’m not doing anything at all. Just…walking to fool my family into thinking I’m up for healthy habits. — He said, omitting the part where he had to stay out for some time before heading back home to give them the illusion he actually heard his parent’s advice into being active and healthy. Seriously, he really didn’t understand why physical activities, workouts and such are any relevant to one’s health and appearance. Look at him. Sure, he doesn’t have toned muscles or strong arms, but he does fairly well with his visuals and his brain.

| Heh yeah. But seriously though.Nozomi would start to speak in a more professional and experienced voice, Not exactly a casual happy go stupid one like he was now. Honestly. Things have been a little hard on me lately. This kinda lightened the mood alot you know?Plus I haven't been training for a long time. I used to be in my schools boxing club and stuff and this ones....Atleast until it got shut down. Boxing is something I'm pretty passionate about you know? That and to be honest I've had to put my skills to the test in a real situation if you catch my drift...First days going here some people aren't exactly nice.He would recall back to where he had to defend a young girl named lisa from people trying to steal her. Christ. Who tries to steal a kid these days?Enough about me though. Your not doing anything?Whadya mean by trying to fool your family your into healthy habits? You look pretty healthy at the moment actually. What was this?Fooling his family into healthy habits? The boy just seemed soft spoken and feminine. Nothing was wrong with that. Or unhealthy if anything. He didn't get why the boys family would say something of that remark. |

| Hard on him? Hm. Even a cheerful guy like Nozomi had his troubles to deal with, and from what he told, it was quite obvious he had faced some rough times. If the blonde teenager was focused on teasing and mocking him a bit, it changed the moment he realized how serious Nozomi’s previous experiences were. He couldn’t really imagine being in a situation where he was cornered and had to fight to save his life. It was one thing when you could count on your Persona; having to count on your fists is completely different. — I understand. I’m sorry you had to go through such things…and…hum… as you said to me the last time, if you need to vent, I might be willing to listen should you wish so. — He wasn’t sure if he should really offer help or butt in his affairs. Chances are anything he would say would be fruitless, but it’s not like he wanted to just watch Nozomi’s suffering on standby motion. In the end, it was up to the brown-haired fellow to decide whether he’d let Shunnosuke return the last meeting favor and be a reliable friendly ear or to keep his struggles to himself. — I know, right? I think I’m perfectly healthy. However, Dad said he’s concerned about my state, as I barely go out unless it’s for shopping. Hello-o? These are his words! Just because he doesn’t see me doing anything outside doesn’t mean I actually don’t do anything outside. He works all day, what does he know anyway? It’s true that I prefer to work my brain cells, but his judgment is nothing but unfair, and he’s been giving me the “mens sana in corpore sana” speech I’m honestly getting fed up with. — Sometimes, he wished his father would go back to ignoring him. Like, even his mother who wouldn’t give a crap to him had been giving some workout advice. Seriously, stop Kurosawas 2016. | |

| Well Honestly...Lemmie ask you this first um.You ever seen any strange happenings around the city? You could say I'm...a bit familiar with them yes. Don't worry no no. I'm not really gonna vent. I feel bad when I vent on people to be honest haha. It's nothing really I guess? He would sound slightly confused when he said that last bit. He wasn't exactly one who was used to having others care for his sake really. He always found himself caring for others on the matter. Supporting and being there for them.Especially through all this persona crap that was going on.Exactly.Your pretty healthy yourself really. Barely goes out?I think you do go out on a rather alright basis I mean. If he works all day. How on earth would he know whether or not your outside?Sounds like a strange notion on his part. Erm. I do not know what that mens sana in corpore sana speech means. As much as I'm familiar with foreign languages atleast.Well really. It didn't make sense what the boys father was saying to him you know? All that talk but he hadn't seen him the entire day nearly off his job. |

| — You’re on! I’m glad you understand me! Seriously, sometimes my father is too protective for his own good. I’m 17 now, I know very well how to take care of my own well being, don’t need to be lectured, thank you. — Perhaps he sounded conceited, but lately Shunnosuke didn’t get all the worries about his health, really. They had a health company, and maybe that’s getting a bit over his parent’s heads. — “Mens sana in corpore sana” is just an old latin saying that implies you should take care of your body along with your mind, instead of neglecting either of these parts for whatever reason. It’s something people say when they aim to convince a visionary, studious person like me to work out. Anyway, enough of that, I’m sorry about my little ranting deviating the course of our conversation. I should be the one listening to you instead. — He sighed. My, he could only hoped Nozomi didn’t think he was a self-centered brat for venting all of a sudden. He was the one to vent in first place, not Shunnosuke. — You said you’re familiar with the strange happenings, huh? By “familiar”, you mean…? — By now, everyone was fairly familiar with supernatural events, crazy gods invading cities, stadiums and such, so Nozomi acknowledging what’s happening in his surroundings was nothing outstanding. His visible tension to speak about it, however, is something else that might indicate his degree of involvement. Shunnosuke had a hunch, but…could it be…? | |

| Well ha. I know the feeling. I have a friend with...Incredibly overprotective parents actually. Exactly your of an appropriate age haha. I don't get what all the big concern is really. You can handle yourself. So he would then listen to the boys explanation of the latin phrase. I don't really mind you saying all of this really. What are friends for right?Heh. It's your personal stuff. It's bad for me to not be there for you really. He did not mind the boy venting torwards him at all in fact really.Listen I'm gonna cut to the chase real quick but....Does the term persona mean anything to you?He would throw the question at Shunnosuke. Maybe he knew about personas?Every damn person in these islands was getting a persona. Hell. Maybe kids would start being born with a persona these days for christs sake. It was a poor notion and thought if anything. Nevertheless an idea he did not want to see actually happen. |

| Should Shunnosuke express joy upon Nozomi’s understanding behavior, his smile would gradually freeze in his face, losing all spontaneity. — Erm, what? — “Persona”. He clearly said it, there was no chance Shunnosuke was mixing things up. He seriously didn’t want to poke in supernatural affairs in his free time, but gosh, his shock was so blatantly obvious there was probably no escape from this. — …I can’t believe it. I. Can’t. Believe. It. — He sighed, rubbing his temples back and forth dramatically. — Seriously, what in the freaking heavens is wrong with this world? Is this some sort of Persona epidemic now that everyone and their mothers seem to be in possession of one? Everywhere I go, there’s a Persona user lurking in the corner or someone asking me about these crazy matters, I must be really paying for some past life sin. | |

| Holy shit.So that means you have one then....I get the feeling you would like to avoid matters such as these then. Judging from your reaction. I was thinking the same thing to be honest haha. I wont press into it if you would not like that at all either.... He would sigh a bit. He felt a bit bad about actually bringing up the topic of personas with Shunnosuke now. The boy must have had stress of his own that he clearly did not want to deal with...Sorry about that....He would say in an apologetic tone. This hit him a bit. Then again Nozomi was already a bit oversensitive at times.Perhaps now was an example of that?Regardless he didn't feel good anymore about revealing this to shunnosuke. |

| He noticed Nozomi’s mood shift after his little ranting. Damn, it wasn’t aimed at him at all. Perhaps the blonde was quite taken aback by the sudden revelation, but by no means was he depositing his frustration on the brown-haired teenager. — Don’t be sorry, you have nothing to apologize for. It’s just… — Oh well. How was he to explain himself now?, Shunnosuke thought while rubbing his own forehead, in a reflexive posture. — Excuse my behavior, it seemed as if I was lashing out on you, but it’s for sure nothing related to you exclusively. I’m simply astonished that more and more people are developing this sort of power. It may seem like a blessing to have it, but on the long run, it only serves to put us in danger. I’ve awakened to this ability or whatever months ago and I’ve been in quite a few dangerous situations so far. Still am, in fact, and I’ll still be in the near future if Azores doesn’t return to its peaceful state. So, whatever is it that’s bothering you lately, I’ve been there and so I can understand perfectly. — He smile a bit, trying to be somewhat reassuring. If Nozomi had a persona and needed to talk about the struggles of dealing with it, Shunnosuke was for sure the right person to listen for he has been there and done that before. | |

| What was this?Shunnosuke hadn't been ranting at him at all...That was certainly a relief of some kind you know?He almost thought he had annoyed the boy. He would sigh.Alright....if you say so. In all honesty. I've just... I've had it for a few weeks you see.In those few weeks I got stuck doing alot of crazy shit too fast. At first I thought it was simple. I'm going to asssume you know what I'm talking about then. Theres shadows and we beat em right? Then It got weird as I kept having to save my friends from the alternate worlds. Shit went from appealing to serious. I had to step it up a bit. I found myself just....Doing things I didn't normally think I could pull off. I found myself sticking up for everybody for once and just...I couldn't believe me being someone liek this. Don't even get me started when I found out about these weirdo primordials Thesis and Ananke. Who frankly. Seem to be hellbent on ending the damn world or whatever. And I'll just take it your aware of the angels as well right? He didn't want to ramble on without confirming Shunnosuke actually did know of what he was speaking of.It's just weird. Everything went from zero to depressingly serious. And I just...I went through it like it was nothing,Lately I've had the chance to reflect on it and It's shocked me you know? It was strange really. How all these events led up to Nozomi who he was now on the frank. Someone he did not expect himself to become at all. It was beneficial...But at the cost of having a normal life really. |

| Hm. He listened, and listened, nodding every now and then with his head lowered, arms crossed. He could understand everything the guy went through, for he had done quite a lot, going from his own Shadow, to facing Primordials, rescuing people from the alternate world and whatnot. Same old story. — And this is why I’m opposed to everybody earning this power. It turns out to be too heavy of a burden eventually, and the more people portraying Personas, the more people suffering in the end... — Just like Ariston told him, nobody who receives the ability to summon personas know how to handle it immediately, and what for. Nozomi’s confusion was completely understandable, and even after months of experience, Shunnosuke could only get a grasp of his power recently. He minimized the distance between them, only to place one hand at the brown-haired teenager’s arm. — If it makes you feel any better, you’re not alone. I’m myself trying to cope with everything, Primordials, Angels, and all that jazz. I’ve also been doing certain things I’d never consider doing before this hell started... but I also like to believe I have a purpose, that this power was granted to me for a reason and this reason is to ensure everybody’s safety while ending Thesis and Ananke’s plans… It’s not as simple, but it’s comforting to know I’m one of the few people able to do it. And so are you. | |

| Ugh. He was aboutta break out one of those moments wasn't he. Well.It was a trait unique to NozomiListen Yeah. This shit. This isn't something other people should be getting. All the stuff I've seen...And how hard Humanity could be effected by all of this. I DONT WANT. Other people dragged into this shit. This was starting to remind him of something. You know. In all honesty. I dont...I don't take this too hard you know. It's weird. I don't but I just feel about it at the same time. I just push it away. But then I ALWAYS remember why I'm doing this.Nozomi had a determined gaze in his eyes and facial expression. The one most of his friends recognized him by.Frankly this is why I stand strong you know?I Fight for my friends and myself and everyone else. I've seen the shit that went on in the little time I've been around,And I took whatever actions I could with limited strength frankly. I refuse to fall down to be honest when it comes to all of this. You know? Everyone I know reminds me of why I do this kinda shit and don't give up. People like...Yourself too as well actually.Shunnosuke was someone he could trust kinda. He was getting closer to him more than most people he knew frankly. And frankly it was people like Shunnosuke that proved to him why he had to stand strong in this kinda situation. Is it weird I rarely have....Outlets you could say? I do not know. Though that purpose schtick your going on about. I guess you could call it fate. Or call it som eother crazy shit. But what I've garnered is we're mean't to do something about all this. For those who can't. And that's what keeps me alive.Oh lord Nozomi. You went on one of those speeches again. Though to be fair this was a fitting time wasn't it?He had found himself speaking as if he wasn't the one talking anymore.
Honestly Shunnosuke. Yeah,Yeah. It reassures me that I am capable of this as well. and likewise with you.He would say as the boy placed his hand on the boys arm. The boy looking at him directly the entire time. Nozomi wasn't one to look away or anything half the time. Especially in a situation/moment like this. |
