| The strange blue room, with the even stranger name. Velvet, was mostly red, though of course there was velvet in blue. It wasn't common though, which is why the room being called 'The Velvet Room' made no sense. Though maybe a boat only accessible by blue doors that only persona users could see, with a long nosed man and a bunch of artificial humanoid creatures named attendants wasn't meant to make sense. Quinn themself had a theory on the attendants being cultists, but after learning what an attendant really was, they threw the theory out the door. Entering said room, they began to look around for any of the attendants, but the place seemed to be almost empty; maybe the attendants were on break and they had just missed everyone leave. The last time they had arrived in this room was when they began to prepare for their prime, and right after they left the mirror itself. "Anyone here?" That's right Quinn, call out into a blue room on a boat for help, that makes sense. | |

| Hidden mostly behind the couches and such, a yawn rung out from Quinn's call. She wasn't expecting something like this right now, when the Velvet Room was empty... well, at least it wasn't her master, to see her sleeping on the job."Oh, you're... Quinn Ayers, right? Congratulations on obtaining your Prime Persona." Rin stretched for a few moments, getting up off the chair and walking a bit towards the User. She had heard of various guests' exploits in getting their second Personae, and she honestly was proud of them. Quinn, of course, was included in that.
"What can I help you with? I don't know if we have met previously, but I am Rin Kouhei, an 'Attendant' of this room. I am here to assist, obviously, so please don't be afraid of asking me anything." The yama seemed courteous to the guest, taking a light bow as she held her Rod of Justice close to her chest with both hands. A habit of hers and one she never seemed to get rid of. Nevertheless, she simply waited for the young User's business here, there wasn't much else she could do.

| "Hmm...?" The approach of the woman did catch them off guard, though they didn't let the surprise keep them side tracked for too long. Listing to her at first was a bit strange, because they had no need to introduce themself at all. "Did it get published in the paper or something? I didn't expect everyone to know about my face to face battle with the true self." Laughing they would, curtsy towards the girl as she continued to speak. Rin Kouhei, huh? That was a fairly unique name, for what seemed like a very different type of attendant. The others seemed pretty curious about the human world, but this one already seemed to speak differently. "Nice to meet you Miss. Kouhei. And if I must say, you don't seem like the other attendants I've met. If I had to describe them, I'd use the word childish." Smiling, they'd hold their closed parasol in one hand, moving more into the room. " I do have a few questions, though I don't know if you can answer them properly. But, if you don't mind..." Turning from the attendant, they would begin to walk around the room, looking it up and down. "What exactly is this place, and how does it even exist?" Facing Rin, they would await this answer, which was something they had contemplated for awhile. | |

| "Not entirely. I've just been observing for a while, taking note of the people who finish that kind of trial. I'm impressed, it's a fairly difficult challenge, which is why I'm proud of those who do it." Rin let herself float idly by as she listened to Quinn, then chuckled. "Believe me, when you're stuck in a blue room for nearly ten thousand years, you start to become a little lightheaded. I think my frequent visits to the outside world are what keep me at least somewhat lucid... but don't get your hopes up, is what I will say." Childish? Well, there were some siblings of hers who did appear as such. Nevertheless, she herself too had her moments. After all, being serious all the time is nearly impossible... she did enjoy a bit of childish play once in a while. It was fun, in a way.
"Hmm... an interesting question." Rin put her feet on the ground and directed her guest towards the seats behind her with her hand. Should Quinn choose to sit somewhere, she'd sit opposite to them, her legs crossed while her eyes fluttered slightly. "It's a tough answer to give, so I'm going to start with the basics. This room exists between dream and reality, mind and matter, it is directly linked to humanity's subconscious, and tied to all of our guests' fate. If something happens in this Room, it isn't without a reason. Though, simply, we are here to aid our guests, which is why we provide many services in exchange for what we call our Velvet Currency. I'm sure you have some, no? Well, regardless. We aren't made to directly interfere with humanity's development... well, at least most of us, but we are to assist in a way, for the right price." Herself running her own service for the Users, Rin knew exactly what she was talking about when she spoke of her duties. Though, even while being an Attendant, Rin was made specifically to make sure humans didn't stray out of the lawful path, at least in the most general sense. Did that count as interfering? Perhaps, but that was what she was made for.

| They sat down when directed by the woman, crossing one leg over the other as they placed their hands on their knee. "I understand, so this room exists but it doesn't, and it takes on a shape that caters to the mindset of the guests who will be entering? Like it's astectically pleasing to them and such?" That made sense if they understood it correctly. "If so, is my body actually here, or am I still standing outside that door I entered? Like, is my mind only here while my body is in the outside world, or are both my body and mind inside this room at the same time?" Quinn thought for a moment, that was something they wondered when they had first entered the blue room. "Also why is it called the 'Velvet Room?' Velvet is usually red, and blue velvet isn't that common. Azure, or some other blue name would be more fitting. I'm just wondering is all." That was the question of the year, and there could be so many answers to it. Maybe because of the blue velvet accents the room held, but even then it didn't make much sense. | |

| The Attendant raised an eyebrow. "In a way, yes. Though, don't be mistaken, those inhabiting this room, along with it itself, are very real. In fact, I mainly work outside it myself, in accordance to my own design." Quinn did seem to have a bit of knowledge up their sleeve already. Rin only wondered whether that was a good or bad thing. Probably good, since it made her job of explaining things easier.
"That's... that's a tough question. Technically, I'd imagine you'd physically enter the room, that's what we Attendants do, but again, it's possible you may just be experiencing this in your mind. I know for a fact your soul is here, however. I can't say I have experience on the human side of this subject." She chuckled. Despite how informed and old she was at this point, there were some things even the yama couldn't answer. Such were the mysteries of the Velvet Room. From her point of view, all were viable options to say for what actually happened, so who knew?
"I'm guessing you'd have to ask our Master that." Hm, strange. She never really gave much thought to the name herself, mostly just referring to it as The Room. Then again, referring to it by that name just brought up painful memories of a certain movie... and at that point, Rin wanted to laugh instead of actually return to her home. Ah, but there was that one song she sung with her siblings... which, now that she thought about it, failed to shed light on the name. Damn you, unrelated lyrics!
