Darkness.
How long had he been floating in black abyss with only the sounds of water all around him and his own breath? When had this floating started and did said floating have an end? These question plagued the mind of the one who floated within the coolness, but no one answered the questions. They were just left to continue to torment the one who could not wake from this dreamless sleep. Then out of nowhere the atmosphere would suddenly become warm and the darkness would be pierced by a bright light that grew and grew until finally it was swallowing the area and the one who floated in it.
At first the warmth was welcoming, but then it began to become uncomfortable. The being caught within was starting to burn! It tried to wake up, move, scream, anything! But the body refused to respond as the heat and light got brighter and more intense until finally it consumed the being and the world it was in whole!

With a gasp, grey eyes would snap open only to go even wider as the body automatically flailed to defy the gravity that began to pull on it. The drop wasn’t long, but flesh meeting stone ground was never pleasant and so it was with a groan that the white haired young man ended his fall off a bench he had been resting on.
Wincing and slightly moody from the rude awakening, the young man sat up his world spinning and foggy as he sought to regain his bearings. It took a shake of the head and a second longer before the world came into focus allowing the young man to finally see where he was. It was a place made of stone ground and walls. There were flowers about and the sound of night critters speaking to one another.
This place…it was so odd and yet something about the area felt familiar. Like…the young man needed to be here, but for what reason he could not say.
Grey eyes would blink as they scanned the area taking note that for the moment he was alone and that not too far away under a dark sky highlighted by a red moon a tower stood. It was the only structure in this area outside of the courtyard itself and it was from that tower the young man could sense great power. What was? What was that tower? And why did he feel drawn to it?
Curious, the young man got to his feet and dusted himself off as he felt the solid weight of a sheath at his side.
Hmm? A weapon? He tried to pull the blade out, but for whatever reason it would not budge from its case. What was this? And why was he armed in the first place? Why was he in this place? And what about the reoccurring dream he kept having? What did it all mean? Had his wanderings finally brought him to some place answers could be gained? Or was this too another hopeless dead end?
Well, there was only one way to find out. Leaving the questions on the back burner for now, the young man would cautiously begin to explore the strange area he was in hoping that perhaps he could find some clues as to why he was here and if not….perhaps an entrance to the tower and what was resting within it.
