Early Morning Shenanigans [Blaez]

It was way, way too early for this.

Or maybe the fact that she had stayed up way too late was to blame for her exhaustion. Whatever the case, the pink-haired girl was still half asleep as she dragged herself out of the grocery store, a bag full of ingredients clutched in her arms. She had walked to the store and done the actual shopping in a half-dazed state, and although she had woken up some in the process, she was still not quite as awake as she probably should have been.

Her emergency shopping trip had been prompted the night before with the realization that there were literally no ingredients for a cake at home. With her mother's birthday coming up fast--as in, tomorrow--Minori had realized that she would have to make a trip the next morning if she wanted to get everything in time and without her mother noticing.

...So here she was.

She was about halfway to her home when she suddenly tripped, sending herself stumbling forward. The girl managed to catch herself at the last minute by jerking herself backwards, but the force of the movement caused one of the lemons she had purchased to fall out of her bag. It bounced once, and then landed on an uneven part of the street that sloped downwards.

Minori watched with a despondent look as the lopsided fruit went hobbling away, making no move to actually go after it. Blinking slowly, she just let it roll and idly hoped that it wouldn't find its way into traffic.

Another day walking around town, but this time he had to do it, he was running low on the suppressant pills, what he had at the moment should be enough for the month, but last time he was careless and waited until the bottle was almost empty, he wasn't allowing it to happen again.

Blaez was on his way to meet his dealer when he saw a lemon rolling in his direction"Hm?"The owner should be somewhere near, he would pick the fruit up and look around trying to spot the possible owner. The only person near was a pinkette holding grocery bags staring in the direction the lemon went, there was no way it wasn't hers.

"I believe this is yours."He would approach the girl holding the fruit up so she could see it.

She woke up a little when someone stepped into the path of her rogue lemon, blinking rapidly a few times when he approached her and offered it back. Snapping out of her daze, she shifted her bag of groceries and propped it up on her hip, using her freed hand to take the fruit with him.

"Whoops," she laughed, glancing down at the lemon and turning it in her hands, "This is mine, yup! Didn't expect for such a lopsided little thing to move so fast." Granted that she hadn't even tried to go after it--she probably would have managed to catch it with ease had she actually put in the effort.

"Glad that you didn't accidentally slip on it," Minori smiled, gently setting the probably-bruised fruit back into her bag, "Thanks for returning it." Now that she was actually conversing with someone, the girl seemed decidedly less sleep-deprived than she had been previous. At the very least, some light had returned to her eyes compared to that blank stare she had been giving her escaping produce just a few minutes prior.

The girl looked a bit off, as if her mind was somewhere else... She was tired that's for sure, at least she cheered up once he returned the lemon to her"Hm?It's nothing... you should be more careful."

She was carrying a lot of things at once, the pinkette should have brought someone with her to help with all that weight"Next time, bring someone with you it will make things a lot easier"He could help her, but it that was nothing of his business, he would fold his arms and ponder for a while if he should help her or not.

Smiling lopsidedly at the advice, Minori let out a wry little laugh. "Yeah, it probably would have been better to have a second pair of hands, but it's early and I don't want to call someone just to ask them to help with my shopping, you know?" She started to adjust the bag in her arms, trying to shift it so that she one arm wouldn't have to carry the brunt of the weight. "It's not that bad though, aside from that one lemon, I haven't--"

Before she could even finish her sentence, one of the oranges that had been stacked amongst the lemons at the top of the bag rolled out and tumbled to the ground. Being significantly more spherical than the previous escapee, it zoomed down the slope and disappeared into a shrub at the bottom.

"...I probably didn't need that one anyway."

He would rub his chin as he watched the orange rolling away, there was no way she could carry everything to her home"...Do you want some help with that?"He would sigh and point at the bag, sometimes he was to nice, he should just have walked away in the first place, honestly he was hoping that she would refuse it.

Minori was visibly surprised by the offer, blinking rapidly as her brows lifted and disappeared behind her pink bangs. After a second of hesitation, she slowly nodded. "That would actually be great if it's not too much trouble. I have a spare reusable bag in my purse if you wouldn't mind splitting the load a little."

She slowly sunk down to the ground and set the heavy bag on the concrete sidewalk so that she could remove said reusable bag from her purse. As she shook it out, she lifted her gaze and offered the stranger a smile.

"What's your name anyways? I'm Minori."

"I'm Blaez."He crouched to help the pinkette transfer the items from one bag to the other. She bought a lot of ingredients, she was probably going to bake a cake, why she was going to bake a cake was nothing of his business, so he just remained in silence for the moment.

Once they were done he would stand up holding the plastic bag in his right hand waiting for Minori get ready, now that he offered to help he was going to do his best, he had no excuse to do it half assed, it's just wrong to offer help then do it poorly, sure, he didn't regretted offering help at the moment, but that doesn't mean he was going to give up.
