| Oh... My... God... He said yes! Traeh was beaming with excitement at the idea of getting her very own new pet. She loved animals so very much and had felt an empty void in her heart ever since her last pet, Tillie, had died. Although she really hadn't imagined that her brother would say yes about getting one, she thought he'd just see it as another expense to worry about and say no. Traeh almost didn't even bother asking him, but at this point she was so glad she mustered up the courage to ask! There was only one problem though... After a long wander through town, Traeh was still none the wiser as to where a pet shelter even was. She had gone alone to adopt her new friend as her brother was busy with work, but all that ended up happening was her mind playing tricks on her as to where she actually was. No you've already been this way. Is this place familiar to you? Hey did we try down there yet? Were all the thoughts that kept tunnelling deeper into her mind. In the end she decided to ask someone who happened to be walking down the same street as her, in her usual timid fashion. "Oh, ehm. H-hey, do you mind helping me out... Please?" | |

| Today's outing was actually not planned. Sharaku had actually considered staying inside for once, but got annoyed enough by his cat hanging onto his hair, obviously not wanting to stop. Maybe animals had mood swings once in a while too. Or so it apparently seemed. However, there were no cats with claws outside, therefore it was a much more plausible option for now. He liked fresh air anyway, so it wasn't that much of a bother in the end. That said, he found himself walking down the street, mentally debating whether his cat would stop by the time he came back. Maybe he should really consider getting him a toy or something. Though, he had a feeling his hair would still appeal to that black furball more, for whatever reason. Well, what can one do.
''?'', he would stop in his tracks, turning his face to look towards the sudden voice that dragged him out of his thoughts. ''Hello.'' Well, isn't that an interesting coincidence? A lot of people were stopping him lately. ''I suppose so. Depends on what it is.'', he would answer casually, looking at the girl. Maybe he could get his mind off claws for a while. Though, it all depended. He couldn't do everything afterall, so it depended on what kind of help was this supposed to be.

| Pausing her speech for a moment to look at the man she had stopped, Traeh wasn't entirely sure if this was the best course of action for her. She was never very good at talking to strangers and often just avoided them all together, but she really wanted some help in her predicament. However another problem she felt like may occur is that this guy will give a vague description of where to go from here to get to the shelter and then wonder off on his way. If that were to occur Traeh knew for a fact she wouldn't be able to follow directions like that and just get lost again and have to repeat the whole cycle again...
Although it was too late to turn back now, so she took a deep breath and continued. "W-well, I'm kind of new around here, and... Well, I've been wandering around for ages now, all these streets just look identical to me, and, ehh... Well, I'm completely clueless of where I'm meant to be going to get somewhere..." Traeh realised she was stuttering and just rambling already so decided to just jump straight to the point. "I, ehh... Don't suppose you know where the animal shelter is... Do you?"

| ...Directions. Just his luck. Sharaku wouldn't say he was good at figuring out where to go. Well, not always, at least. On the other hand, with how much time he has spent wandering these streets since he came to Azores, it shouldn't be as hard anymore. Hopefully. They did look similar at times, however. That was a fact. ''Hm..'', he would be quiet for a bit, thinking. This could either go fairly well, or end up failing. He knew as much. But he didn't have anything specific to do anyway. Even though, ironically enough, he had been trying to get animals off his mind before this came up.
''Can't say I've been there before, but I think I know approximately where it is.'', he would answer eventually. ''Do you want specific directions, or..?'' Well, this could go several ways. He wasn't sure whether she was lost because she simply had no idea where to even go, or failed to follow directions she looked up before. The latter option sort of made more sense...seeing as it wasn't common for someone to go out and look for something without having a single idea as to where is it supposed to be located.

| Well... Traeh felt very awkward whilst standing around waiting for this guy to reply. He looked like he was thinking, so he probably was just making sure he told her the right answer of where to go... But either way, the silence made Traeh feel very uncomfortable. Although, at least he was thinking about it, it could of gone worse. He could of just told her to get out of his way and just kept on walking to where ever it was he was heading... So at least this was something? Right?
Finally he spoke, he hadn't been there before himself which wasn't the best news Traeh could of received at that time, but at least he sounded somewhat willing to help. "Well... You see, I'm not great at following set directions..." She began nervously. "My brother had told me what way to go to get there before leaving home but, clearly I got lost..." She had to pause for a moment to muster up the confidence to ask her next question. "W-would you mind, taking me there?... That is, if your not busy."

| Well, it seemed that his guess was correct enough. Getting lost even when having been told where to go is a little ironic. Then again, she did say she only moved here recently, so it made enough sense. It was hard to navigate through a place you were entirely unfamiliar with. It was still surprising that she even moved here, out of all the possible choices in the world. After all, it wasn't particularly safe here nowadays, was it? Hm, that aside, however...''I see. Perhaps you could have brought a map with you. Might have helped.'', he would smile thinly. Not that he himself could even read a map, but it was always a good thing when you suspected you might get lost. And she did say she is not good at following set directions.
''But sure, I suppose I can. I haven't been heading anywhere in particular to begin with, so it won't hurt me.'' The only things that could possibly end up hurting him were rowdy animals at the place she was heading too. That would really top his bad luck related to them today. ''Well, this way then.'', he'd say, before heading down the street. ''Mind if I ask something?'', he would look over at her while walking. ''Why did you choose to move here? I figured that nowadays, most people would rather move away.'' Unless they liked risking in the current situation.

| Now that certainly could've gone better, shesh, Traeh knew she needed to work on being sociable with people, but still found herself feeling ridiculous after each sentence she only just managed to stutter out. She just hoped that what did end up coming out of her mouth actually made sense. "A map...?" Traeh hadn't even considered that as an option at first. "Huh... Guess you're right. That would of been the smart thing to do... Might try to buy one for the next time I go exploring." She felt so stupid that she had never even thought of that idea till now.
However her mood was lifted when the man agreed to help her. "O-oh! You can? Thank you, that's very kind of you to take the time to help me out." Traeh couldn't help the smile that then emerged on her face. She was more proud of herself that she had managed to ask someone for help than the fact that the person said yes... Not that she wasn't pleased for that too! But either way she was happy. Although, she was a little puzzled by the mans next question. "Oh... Well, it wasn't really my choice. I live with my older brother and, well whatever he says goes... And for whatever reason he decided that we needed to move country. I never questioned him why here specifically though." She stopped to think for a moment... "Wait, so why would people want to move away?"

| It probably would have been smart, yes, but everyone forgets sometimes. Sharaku would most likely not think of a map in such a situation either. Then again, he couldn't read maps for what it was worth, so it would matter little in the end. He would hum lightly. ''Maybe so. That was just a suggestoin though. You could always get your brother to accompany you too. Or search until you find what you're looking for.'' There were plenty options one could take. Bringing a map along was only one of them. Of course, asking a random person was one too, which she had done.
He would chuckle lightly. ''No problem. I don't have anything better to do right now anyway.'' He had no reason to tell her no, seeing as he wasn't busy, and she wasn't rude or annoying or anything. So he was fine with that. He would look ahead thoughtfully when she answered his question. ''I see. Well, he seems to have made an interesting choice of a landing.'' He couldn't really assume much. He didn't know anything about her brother. ''Haven't you heard of the current situation yet?'', he would look back at her, somewhat curiously. ''Things like the local academy being closed due to a sudden drought and a huge amount of sand covering it. Or one of the islands being closed off because of the volcano and everything around it acting out. Things like those. A lot of dangerous things are happening in this region lately.'', he would attempt to explain in simpler terms. Which was not easy. He couldn't say anything specific, because she wouldn't understand the supernatural part of this.

| His question confused Traeh quite a bit. Was there really something that bad going on around here? Well, she had known about some strange things... The school for example she knew was closed as she wasn't allowed to attend there at the moment, but she had never really taken a second thought about it until now. To be honest Traeh was just glad to be out of school for a while and just get used to her new home. Go outside and explore, and, well... Get lost.
Reassured by the mans friendly nature, Traeh managed to relax a little. The hard part of starting the conversation was over and she had successfully achieved help, so now was no longer a time for panic. Although the guy definitely was interested in why she had moved here and it puzzled her. "Oh, wow..." She began, feeling a little uneasy again after hearing what he had to say. "I had heard about the academy, since I'm supposed to be going there but never really knew the full details about it... Although I hadn't heard of the volcano... Like I said before, we've only just arrived here and well. Don't have access to television or the internet yet, my brother still needs to sort that out. So I haven't really heard much about anything." By this point Traeh had grown curious as to what had been happening around here that had slipped by her knowledge. "So what other weird things have been going on recently?"

| Hm, so she hadn't researched much yet. Well, whether that would prove to be a problem or not was something he couldn't know. In a way, he had just been curious as to why would someone move here with all the crazy stuff going on. But seeing she hadn't known before now, the question was somewhat moot. It didn't truly matter as much in the end. There were many ordinary people around Azores, and as long as it was only a few more, or few less, not much would change about the situation. Perhaps she would be lucky enough to not get into trouble. So far, those that did not live on Malstu weren't affected that badly. Until it went and happened elsewhere as well. Which was always a possibility.
What to answer her, however. Technically, there was a lot of it going on, but he couldn't really explain that. Not without sounding unreal. And that hadn't even been his intention to begin with. He would shake his head lighty. ''There are other things, yes, but as it is, I can't really tell you much. Not in a way you would understand. If I tried, you most likely wouldn't believe me.'', he would smile thinly. ''If you're really interested, perhaps you can wait until you get internet, and look up the broadcast that aired some time ago. Shouldn't be hard to find, considering the hype that it caused. Maybe that would give you an insight as to what kinds of things are going on around here.'' It didn't matter who saw it by now anyway. And maybe it would lessen the shock factor if someone were to actually come across the stuff later on. That said, let's keep walking on...

| What could he of meant by all this. Surely if any of this were true she would of heard about it by now... Wouldn't she? It all struck her as very odd, she wondered if her brother knew anything about all this... He had never talked about it before. Then again this guy could just be making this whole thing up in an easily attempt to freak her out for some fun and just something to pass the time with whilst on the way to the shelter. Which surely couldn't be too far away by now... That is if he was actually leading her there.
Just to add to her confusion his answer left her even more in the dark. "Alright then, I'll be sure to look that up when I get the chance." Traeh responded tilting her head to one side. "Ya know you've really left me confused -..." Huh, she hadn't actually found out this guys name yet... "Oh! I just realised, I don't think we ever properly introduced ourselves. Hi, my names Traeh, pleasure to meet 'cha." She grinned as she turned to face the man and held out her hand to him. "And do you know how much further it is to the shelter?"

| Well, he figured she must be at least decently confused. People who hadn't seen any of these things with their own eyes would. If he had attempted explaining, he would most likely have confused her even more. Either that, or she would think he was insane. He didn't really need that to be the highlight of his day. There was enough insanity in the world already. He was glad that he wasn't being called insane yet, and he would prefer to keep it that way. ''At your leisure.'', he would smirk lightly. ''I'm aware that it sounds confusing...but you would most likeĺy just think I'm insane if I tried telling more. Might be easier for you to watch, and decide what you think for yourself.'' In case she wanted more after that, it would be her call.
He would blink at her, accepting the handshake after a moment. ''The name's Sharaku. Pleasure is mine.'', he would smile lightly, before looking ahead in slight thought as she inquired about the time. Hm. He wasn't the best at guessing this. Well, maybe...assuming they kept going at the same speed..''Around 5 or so minutes, I think. Though, I am not the best at converting distance to time, so I might not be entirely accurate with the number. At any rate, not long.'', he would answer soon afterwards. Well, he tried.

| Suddenly Traeh realised something. She had been so busy talking to the guy that was leading her to the shelter that she hadn't been paying attention of where he was taking her. Probably would of been the smart idea to do, to actually be able to find her way home after getting there... Oh well, it'd be more likely for her to find a familiar place that can lead her home then finding one small building in a giant city, so, she'd probably be fine. Although she did from that point start taking note of her surroundings. "Yeah... You've definitely sparked my interest in this whole thing. I'll certainly check it out at some point, plus don't worry, you only sound a little bit insane." She remarked giggling slightly.
"Sharaku, huh? Can't say I've ever heard that name before." She pondered, eyeing up the man again before realising that might've came across rude. "I-it's a nice name though. It suits you." Turning back to face the road, Traeh tried to see if there was any sign of the shelter in sight yet. Although she wasn't entirely sure she'd know what it would look like even if she did see it. "Ah that's fine, can't expect ya to know everything. Talking to ya has been quite the enjoyment anyway." Was definitely better than wondering about all alone, that's for sure.

| ''That's because I only told you a little. Though, sometimes I do feel like I am insane.'' Sharaku would throw back in a lighthearted tone. In the end, it would be her call. She would most likely find things even more insane, in case she actually went and watched it eventually. Or maybe she would be amused. There were several kinds of people. That was something he noticed already. Some were scared, and some would bravely announce they were going to save the world, and be heroes.
He would chuckle faintly. ''I don't take it personally. I get that sometimes. Besides, I am not a native myself.'' He was aware that his name was probably much less common than some. On the other hand, he hadn't heard hers before either. It sounded, English maybe? Or something similar. He wasn't sure, to be honest. ''But thanks.'' He didn't know how to tell whether someone's name suited them, but he would go along with this. ''Well, you're welcome, miss.'', he would give her an amused smile. ''Besides, as long as we get there, the time doesn't matter as much, I'd say.'' And it wouldn't be much longer anyway.

| "Yeah, I guess so..." Traeh responded sounding a little disappointed. "Wish you could've told me more, but, eh. If you think watching that broadcast is the best course of action, I'm not one to say that you're wrong." And that was exactly what she had planned to do, there was no way she wouldn't look into this now. Well, unless she forgot to, like how she forgot the directions to the shelter... Maybe she should write it down somewhere... Nah, there was no way she'd forget this day in a hurry.
Huh. That took her by surprise, again it hadn't crossed her mind that whoever she may of asked for help wasn't actually from around here either. Although at least he knew more than her about the way of the land. "Oh, is that so? Where are you from then?... If you don't mind me asking." She inquired timidly before giggling softly, she had never been called "miss" by a stranger before and found it particularly amusing. "Yeah, I guess your right. As long as neither of us have anywhere specific we need to be soon. I suppose there is no real reason to rush." Traeh then stretched out her arms and looked up at the sun, it was a nice day to be out on a walk anyway.
