It's Personal...
It was only by raw chance that Ayane looked up at the volcano that very second as it essentially blew up. Magma and slabs of lava scattered everywhere, with no mercy, as it caused the beautiful forests around to catch on fire. It didn't take very long before the whole thing was a literal inferno. All Ayane could do at first was just to stare at the large glowing plume of molten rocks before she snapped out of her state of shock and began running, her heart pumping out of her chest. "
Shit, shit, shit, shit, SHIT!" She hurried towards her home and slammed open the door, looking at the confused Higgins. "
We need to leave NOW! JUST LOOK AT THE VOLCANO!" She screamed off the top of her lungs in a panicked tone. "
Wait, what?" Mister Higgins stood up and looked out the window at the volcano. As he did so, his face grew pale in an instant. "
Ayane's right... We need to move now..." Before his wife could protest like she usually would, he grabbed her hand and dragged out of the house, Ayane leading the way. Then... the alarm went off, and people had started to gather in front of the station, awaiting trains to arrive. Some poor souls had been lost, and families had either been shattered beyond repair, or swallowed up completely by the lava...
-----------------------------------------------
Mae ran... Ran away to the station as soon as she had heard the news. Her entire being was filled with worry. She didn't care who or what she bumped into on the way. She had to be safe... She just had to! There was no way she could have... No, let's push out those thoughts! //
Oh, please, Ayane... Be safe... // Mae thought as she continued her un-ending sprint towards the station... It was when she arrived that she saw the refugee center outside the station. Maybe she was in there? Without thinking, she pushed her way inside, yelling. "
AYANE! AYAAAAAANE!" ...No Response... Mae wasn't thinking straight. Tears had begun rolling down her cheeks, as she continued, with many looking at her, both concerned, and weirded out slightly. When no-one answered her she dropped to her knees, fearing the worst... //
N-no... It can't be! SHE CAN'T BE- // But her thought were interupted by a cheerful voice. "
Mae?" Mae turned around, and saw her friend just entered the place herself, along with the Higgins family. The pigtailed girl was a little battered and bruised, but looked well enough. "
Oh, thank god!" Mae rushed to embrace her friend whom she had thought was lost forever... "
I-I thought..." The pinkette stuttered out, sobbing. "
Well, I didn't... So stop crying, geez."
Mae knew that something big was up... First the School, and now Malstu... No way this was a coincidence... It was personal now. Whoever was causing all this had to pay. No one puts Mae's friends in mortal danger and gets away with it. Her reason to fight had grown stronger than before. These primordials... would die by her own hand...
