The Biography
Birth Name: Kishinami Aika (now Ibarin Kira) Aliases: Will of the World Gender: Female Age: Unknown, Shadow keeps her real age a mystery, but looks about 21 years old. Birth Day: Unknown Arcana: Chariot Place of Residence: N/A School Year: Graduated, no school Class: No school

Part Time Job: Works as a Vocalist in her own band, where she performs various styles of music. Occasionally plays guitar to accompany the main guitarist.
Appearance: Strangely enough, Kira is quite tall, taller than most women and the second tallest member of her band at 6 feet flat. She’s clearly developed well, as her body has a very nice shape that people consider attractive, as well as a certain charm that comes with her clothing style. Kira tends to wear Chinese clothing, which includes a long green skirt, reaching to about her knees, a white shirt that puffs at the arms, and a red patterned drape over it with a rose near the neck. As footwear, she wears a pair of brownish red slipper shoes that wrap around her ankles.
The strangest part about her appearance is what she wears on her arms, as her whole right arm is covered in bandages, while her left wrist has a thin metallic chain grappled onto it, broken at the end like it was ripped from its rest, but not broken enough where it’d slide apart, which is odd. Her facial features are an oddity as well, as she possesses bright pink hair and eyes, the former tied with two buns, continuing with the Chinese look. Oddly enough, despite her looking very elegant, she doesn’t actually look like she wears makeup, as well as her nails being treated and possibly manicured, but with no colored varnish, just a clear kind to prevent her from biting them.
Personality: If there’s a word that describes Kira, it’s “duty-bound”. She takes her job incredibly serious and her purpose as well and, for that reason, she’s actually a fairly serious person to talk to. Mostly friendly, with a bit of an odd outlook on life, and not quite as easy to get along with as someone may think. Kira prefers being with as few people as possible, though she will be very friendly to people she takes a liking to, like her band mates.
Strangely, though, there’s a bit of a darker side to Kira, straying from her usual day-to-day self. In battle, she appears quite ruthless, like a wild animal, and it’s impossible for her to contain herself when she’s fighting Shadows specifically. Her appearance also oddly changes when this happens, with the bandages around her right arm seemingly levitating off the arm as her eyes glow a bright golden-ish red color, like a mixture of both her eyes and a Shadow’s. Thankfully, she can still distinguish between humans and Shadows, which is due to her instincts, but her form is exceptional thanks to her animal-like coordination combined with the human training she has gotten.
The Potential
Strengths:
—Strength Name: Synchronity Chain —Description: Being a failed Forgotten Experiment, Kira has quite a few more perks than a regular one, but also quite a number more weaknesses. Her Shadow and her don’t really have as much of a Symbiotic relationship as with other Experiments, they quite literally are fused together with her Shadow acting as her right arm. This makes it so she can chain attacks a lot easier with both her arms to synchronize both skills and dexterity attacks masterfully. In PvS, this simply means she can hit with both fists in one turn, which lets her get off two Dexterity Attacks in one turn.
—Strength Name: Shadow Instincts —Description: Due to the fusion that occurred between Kira and her Shadow, the being that came from it is quite literally always hungry. This causes Kira to distinctly agro herself onto Shadows and gets a surge of strength whenever she is fighting one or many, for that matter. For each Shadow on the field, Kira gets a 5% boost to her attacks and agility overall, whereas by each defeated, it goes down, eventually cancelling out as all Shadows are killed. This does not occur to beings that aren’t Shadows, so humans aren’t affected, but a Forgotten’s Shadow Weapon triggers this effect twice over, with her attack and agility going up 10% when fighting a Forgotten. Worthy of mention, a Horde of Shadows quite effectively boosts her stats more than a regular Shadow, but less than a Shadow Weapon, giving her a 7% boost to both Attack and Agility per Horde on the field.
—Strength Name: Various Martial Arts Training —Description: Despite her looks and lifestyle, Kira has trained extensively in quite a few styles of martial arts, including but not limited to Taijutsu, Ji-Kun-Do and Karate. While those forms may be the most cliché ones for her, she does have mastery of wrestling and boxing, more specifically, and applies technically correct usage of moves in those sports to her battles, combined with the ability to predict random moves like a professional boxer. All in all, this simply gives her an edge in combat while not directly boosting her stats, but counts as a combat weakness regardless.
—Strength Name: Nonchalant —Description: It’s true, Kira’s more of a standoffish person than anything else, preferring to keep away from crowds but still not minding when she’s in them. Sure, she’d rather stay with only a few friends at once, but it isn’t like socializing kills her, it’s just more difficult for her. She’s a lot more likely to develop a Social Link in a one-on-one thread than other people. This also means that she’ll keep her cool in most situations, as she’s honed her nerves for such happenings and doesn’t mind it when it happens. This means that she usually keeps a cool head even in the direst of moments and can always stop to think of a way to proceed.
—Strength Name: Latent Knowledge and Intelligence —Description: It isn’t enough that she can keep sane when insane events are happening, but Kira is also a very smart and strategic person, to the point she’s able to see weak points very easily and can naturally think of a plan to exploit them on the fly. She’s a quick thinker, but she does need some time to formulate a plan, which can cause an opening if she hadn’t done so beforehand, but her ability makes her a much tougher opponent while in battle. Needless to say, thanks to her Shadow Instincts, this strength is nearly nullified when fighting a Shadow or a Forgotten Experiment.
Weaknesses:
—Weakness Name: Synchronity Breaker —Description: Being literally fused with a Shadow is a very bad thing, and for one reason only: the hunger. She’s practically an undead, having to feed off Shadows or at least something similar, like demons, to stay her hunger. Thankfully, a few Shadows last her for quite a while, but if she doesn’t go into a dungeon for a while and consumes Shadows, the hunger is unbearable and can cause her to have mood swings and whiplashes, where she becomes aggressive towards people around her. This strength is only effective once her Shadow Weapon is awakened, since being dormant means you don’t need to be constantly fed. This also has an effect in battles, as her hunger can become so bad that she takes a cut to her stats, making it so she gets a 15% reduction to Attack, Agility and Defense each time she gets into a dungeon that can only be cured by defeating three Shadows or equivalent. This weakness activates regardless of her Shadow kills in the previous run and works as a static debuff that is put on her until she kills and consumes three Shadows or one Horde/Shadow Weapon. This debuff also lasts until the end of the fight as she can only consume the Shadows after all are finished, so even if there are two Shadows in the first fight and three on the second, the debuff persists throughout the entirety of both fights and gets nullified after the second battle is over.
—Weakness Name: Shadow Rampage —Description: Thanks to her animal-like instincts, Kira stops being as much of a smart opponent as she is just an incredibly fast and dangerous one. When fighting a Shadow, she loses her attention to the battle and instead focuses only on hunting down and consuming that one Shadow, causing her to be a lot more distracted and take more damage. Per regular Shadow on the field, her Endurance stats go down by 5%, with each Horde lowering them by 7% and each Shadow Weapon lowering them by 10%, effectively counterbalancing her stat bonuses in attack and agility.
—Weakness Name: Will of the World —Description: Regardless of her job and life, her Shadow has only one purpose – consume all other Shadows and then consume itself. This means that Kira, due to her fusion to her Shadow, is required to die by the end of the plot in order to fulfill her purpose and completely finish off all Shadows, including herself and any other Forgotten. This also means that she is aggressive to any Forgotten Experiments, and wishes to consume their Shadow Weapon as well, effectively killing them. Regardless, this makes it so Kira obligatorily has to die by plot’s end, after her purpose has been served.
—Weakness Name: Inability to Split Apart —Description: Despite her best efforts, Kira can not separate herself into two beings like other Forgotten may be able to. Her Shadow being fused with her means she literally has to lug it around everywhere and can’t use it to distract an opponent, effectively giving her only one body on the field as well as only one mind to process it all, as she directly controls her Shadow Weapon. This also means that she can’t really get much of an advantage one a Persona User unless she directly strikes the Persona with her fists or any part of her right arm, as those areas are the only ones she’s able to hit supernatural things with, while anything else causes real damage.
—Weakness Name: Unreal Feeling —Description: Due to her Shadow’s connection, Kira is quite worse off than before. She can’t quite feel her full right arm or her left hand as much as normal people, with them being perpetually in a state of dormancy. She can feel them to an extent, but they always feel fuzzy, like blood isn’t coursing through them enough… which it isn’t. This means that she has a bit of difficulty using her hands as movement tools like using them swing around with her feet and knock down an opponent, as she won’t solidly feel the ground below her. This also gives her a bit of a handicap in the real world, as she may drop stuff on accident as she can’t tell whether the grip is tight enough or not.
Shadow Weapon:
Shadow Weapon Name: Will of the World Shadow Weapon Description: Kira’s literal right arm and left hand, the former being covered completely by bandages while the latter is hooked onto her with a metallic coupler that can’t really be taken off, even with surgery. Strangely enough, the bandages and the hand seem to be what comprise the Shadow, as under the former, nothing can be seen, though her left hand looks and feels real enough. Shadow Weapon Image:
History: Back before Experimentation, Kira was a worker and full-blown scientist at the Yachiru Corporation, dealing with investigation of Limbo and Shadows, and a lead researcher on the project too. Then known as Kishinami Aika, Kira was at the top of her league, leading many successful breakthroughs and helping with the investigation like a model scientist. Unfortunately for her, her battle skills were null, as when she entered into Limbo herself with her research crew, the lack of preparation for what was ahead only made them get killed, save for Kira. Losing her right arm and left hand, she was salvaged by the rest of the lab, deeming her survival a miracle while she was gotten medical care in the Ueitawa Hospital.
Heartbroken by her failure and angry at her miscalculation, Aika volunteered to be a guinea pig used for fusing Shadows with human beings, something back then only in its concept stages. Luckily for her, the experiment was… a partial success. While she wasn’t readily available to leave the lab as soon as it was completed, Aika had gotten back the use of her right arm and left hand through a Shadow’s body. The side effect was, the Shadow’s mind was intrusive, invasive, as it refused to get downgraded to a pair of limbs. You could say it was a rowdy subject, but Aika managed to contain it skillfully. The procedure wasn’t without its repercussions, though, as Aika’s hair noticeably changed from a pure black to a bright pink, and her eyes from a light bluish green to the same color as her hair.
The next step of her journey was Yachiru’s Tower event, which shocked her, to say the least, and gave leeway for the Shadow fused with her to slowly get more control. It started off in a usual way, with her implants randomly malfunctioning as headaches plagued her. Surely enough, the Shadow managed to get her to quit the job she loved and instead travel to a far away region, months after her conversion. At this point, it was clear that the Shadow had quite a hold on her, but its purpose was unclear, hidden from the researcher’s mind. While she did notice something wrong with her head, it was, just to say… already far too late. With the Shadow living with her for such a long time, it had already deeply engrained itself in her mind and body, which stopped its aging process completely and rewrote her mind to fit both personalities. When they had completely fused together, the former researcher changed her name to Ibarin Kira, throwing away her past as a researcher and as Aika, now being neither of those.
With the body gotten and the minds fused, Kira progressed in her life much like she wanted to previously. She found joy in training and singing, eventually befriending a group of musicians and starting her own band. It was a new beginning for her as her Shadow part went dormant, giving her complete control of her new limbs and body as it suppressed her desires… with her awakening, though, those desires are coming back, which is leading once again to the corruption of her mind. This, however, is a new step for Kira, as her life is just how she would have it and her purpose… the Shadow’s purpose, is clear enough for her to pursue it. Now hellbent on completely wiping out any Shadows that come her way, Kira only intends on keeping anyone from preventing her from succeeding, as this life is now her own.
