Day off(Nagisa)

It's been a while since Blaez started to skip classes,he would occasionally show up in one or another and that's it.After all that hunt for the suppressants added to the recent events made he realize that he might not have that much time left,and even if he did,he had no idea of what to do once he graduated,school was becoming more pointless for him.

It was a day off from school and Blaez was tired,he walked a lot in the past days,taking the day for rest would be a nice change of pace,the lounge was empty,that made the student's day a lot brighter,he would be able to use it without being bothered by anyone,he turned the tv on grabbed the controller and laid down in the first couch he saw.

When Nagisa walked into the lounge with a book on her hands she didn't expect to see Blaez lying on the couch watching TV. She have not seen him since she joined Jack's group but she was meaning to talk to him, sadly Blaez was skipping classes and since Nagisa was busy with student council meetings she couldn't find the time to contract him. Without saying anything she sat next to him leaving her book on her lap. "What are you watching?" She asked in order to make small talk.

"I don't know,i just turned it on."He wasn't alone in the lounge anymore,but it was Nagisa,he didn't disliked her presence,she was pleasant to have around actually.He wasn't really paying attention until Nagisa mentioned it,but from what was going on it seemed to be an old action movie"...Interesting."He said changing his position on the couch,he sat down trying to give more attention to what was going on the screen"...So,what brings you here?"The student asked,it's been a while since he talked to the girl.

"I'm writing a paper about pre-hellenic religions in Asia Minor so I went to the library to borrow a book to help me with my research. I swear I barely have time for myself with the student government and the heavy classes of the senior year." She said as she leaned back to the couch. Study this, learn that, make sure the teachers hear about this, don't forget to sign those documents. Even a person like Nagisa who knew how to handle pressure could be stressed out. "So we are a team now... funny isn't it if someone else had to clean up the ecology club we wouldn't have met and then I couldn't have join your tea. Say,Blaez I've been meaning to ask you, how was your awakening?"

"That's rough,i wish you luck..."Nagisa sure was a busy person,if he was put in her place for a day he would give up half way through,he much rather have freedom,nobody pressuring him to get things done,living his own life with nobody bothering was the closest thing to a life goal he had.

"My awakening..."He had no idea how "normal" persona users got theirs,there was no way he could lie to Nagisa,he lowered his head and thought for a while before saying anything,he considered telling her the truth,but he already bothered enough people with it,and Nagisa already had enough to worry about"It just happened...It's weird to explain."Being vague was the best option,even if it wasn't that effective with someone like her.

Nagisa glared at Blaez. Perhaps talking about his awakening wasn't a subject he was used to or he simply didn't want to talk about it with someone like her. However, Nagisa wasn't a person who would give up easily so she decided to follow another tactic. "My awakening was sudden. Well truth to be told I was asking for it, considering I have done all that research about the persona and everything related to the alternative worlds. I managed to find a ritual which would allow me to awake to my power. Normally I would have dismissed such an idea as impossible but after the broadcast I don't think that laws of logic always apply in our lifes any longer. So me and the old members of the ecology club gathered in my dorm and we tried to awake to our powers. When the ritual was done we all felt exhausted and lost consciousness"

At that point Nagisa paused to make sure that Blaez was paying attention to her. She wasn't about to share something like that to a person who didn't care. When she ensured that he wasn't doing something else she proceeded. "In my dream I met a strange man. Philemon his name was and he offered me a deal, he offered me the power of the persona and said that I have to accept the consequences of my actions, or something like that. I agreed, it was what I wanted after all, a way to protect Azores and myself. And so here I am."

Nobody told him about this Philemon and the ritual you had to perform in order to gain a persona,maybe it was different between normal users too"Never heard about this Philemon,the others never mentioned him either,so i assume they never meet him either,i believe there is many ways of getting a persona."He explained"There is always something new to discover about personas,huh..."He didn't knew how to feel about this Philemon,if he had the power to give personas,could he fix Bahamut?"So..."Blaez had no idea of how to go on with the conversation.

"So don't you remember anything about your awakening. Since you didn't met Philemon I'm curious to find out how you acquired your powers. Maybe it will help me understand how this new world that I have been introduced to works. It would be really important to me." Nagisa said without breaking the eye contract with Blaez. She had decided to share her own experience so it was only fair for Blaez to tell her a bit more about himself. After all it couldn't possibly be healthy not to express ones feelings, if he had something on his mind he ought to share it with her.

"Do you want to know how i got mine that bad?"He didn't understood how it was important,he had a persona,that should be enough,but not for Nagisa,she always wanted to know more"As you already know just a few people have the potential to yield a persona,but some of those people can't yield it without 'help',their persona goes berserk without the help of a medication."He paused for a few seconds to let the information sink in"Do you understand it now?"Hopefully he wouldn't cause trouble,the least people knowing about it the better,his friends have their own problems to be bothered by something like that

Nagisa didn't expect that kind of answer. Sure she had figure out that something was off with his persona since he avoided answering her question earlier but now things were even more complicated. So there were people with artificial personas, how different were they from those whose persona had awaken normally and who created them? Nagisa had to find the answer.

"Does this means that your abilities are different from the average user? What happens when a persona goes berserk, is it...is it dangerous for your health?" Nagisa couldn't imagine that she would suddenly get so worried about Blaez. Suddenly she found herself wishing she had never asked him but she quickly discarded that though, at least now she could work on a way to help him.

That was the reason he was keeping this information from most of his team,the only one who didn't freaked out was Charles,he seemed rather calm about this whole thing"Yes,it can change it's strengths,weakness and skills during battle during a short period of time,but once it's over i lose control of it,luckily i just lost control of it once and it didn't hurt anyone...Well,it tried to hurt me but i survived.The pills do have some side effects,i had it easy though,from what i heard it can get really bad."Seeing Nagisa worry about him made Blaez feel bad,the first thing that come to his mind was to smile"Don't worry about me,i can take care of myself,just focus on your duties,alright?"He may not be the friendliest looking person in the world,but he was trying his best.

"Just be careful... since your persona is apparently more dangerous you have to be cautious when you use it." Nagisa said as she regained control of her feelings, she shouldn't have let Blaez realize that she got worried, her job was to support the team and ensure they would be in their best shape to fight the shadows, she couldn't afford to make them hide their worries for fearing they might upset her.

"You mentioned some medicine. Who provides it to you? Is it expensive or it's given to you freely? If it's hard to come by then I could use my family's wealth to help you." She offered, so far it was the only way she could think to help Blaez's situation.

"Again,you don't have to worry about me."She calmed down,that was good,the last thing he wanted was her stressing out over his problems,they were his problems after all.He looked angry when Nagisa offered help"Yeah i have a guy who sells the suppressants to me,they aren't really cheap,but i don't want you spending money with this Nagisa,my problem,you shouldn't be worrying about it."Just like he thought,but there was no way he would allow Nagisa to spend her money with him.

"Money is not a problem to me, and if they can guarantee your safety then they are well spend. I'm not going to accept "no" for an answer, unlike most of the students in the dorms I am living here because I want to and not because I have need of a roof. So please accept this not as a gift but as a mean to improve the state of the team." Since Blaez wasn't going to accept her help in a more personal ground Nagisa decided to change her words, if it was for the good of the team he would comply...or at least that's what Nagisa believed. "Would you rather accept my money or would you prefer to risk harming yourself and your teammates in order to preserve your pride?"

"Tch..."They say wording is everything,she got him on his "weak spot",their lives were more important than his pride,and Nagisa wouldn't take a no for an answer"Alright,i still don't like the idea though."He agreed with it but against his will,Nagisa sure was tenacious,he doubted anyone else would be able to accomplish that"Could you not mention it to the others?"Hopefully Nagisa would understand why he requested to keep it just between them.
