| Kamina Uraharu"Life is one hell of a drug. I wonder what heaven's like?" The Biography
|
Birth Name: Kamina Kisuke Uraharu Aliases: N/A Gender: ♂ Age: 17 Birth Day: 10/10 Arcana: Tower Evoker: Tarot Card Place of Residence: School Dorms School Year: Second Year Class: 2-B
After School Club: Basketball Club
Part Time Job: N/A
Appearance: Kamina has a short snow white colored fauxhawk, being slightly cut with spiked ends. Though his hair is naturally black, he died it white to represent his gang's colors. He pretty much such shaped the thing by moving his growing hair into the shape. Randomly. He thought it looked pretty cool. He also has a a clean shaven goatee with a bit of hair that moves down from the bottom of his lower lip. His eyes are a cool black, being relaxed and holding a hint of confidence.
Kamina isn't one for fashion, and is just content with wearing jeans, a white tank top for better arm movement, basic black tennis shoes and socks, of course. In short, his outfit is basic. When at school he often wears the typical uniform, but will generally wear his tank tops and decide to wear the jacket of his gakuran either tied around his waist by the sleeves at the back, or carrying it around in one of his hands, slung over his shoulder.
Kamina takes some pride in his appearance, keeping his clothing clean, starched, and overall in great standard. Generally speaking, he's normally either appearing bored or disinterested, but just as often smiling. Above all else, he seems to be confident, albeit in a way that wouldn't quite come off as arrogant. Cool and composed, this generally shows itself in his every action under normal circumstances. He's tall, being six foot five, muscular, and has light skin free of any noticeable blemishes. On his left pectoral muscle, he happens to have a tatoo of a crescent moon surrounded by a dragon, with a golden G at its center.
Personality: Kamina is a man of many experiences. He's tough and fairly strong willed, opting to use his own extreme pride in his abilities to cause him to take whatever path he wants. In truth, though he actively runs a gang, he dislikes violence, and actively attempts to get rid of all the other gangs so that there would be a sort of 'peace' when it comes to the sort of path he chose. Secretly, despite being known as a terrible gang leader that no one seems to be able to pin anything on, he repays all money his gang extorts, causing the locals to look the other way from the gang, considering the money is fully returned, and any damages paid for in kind, all the while seeming to state that someone in the gang is looking out for them; and free protection from other gangs is always a good thing.
He's incredibly confident in his abilities, but doesn't usually bother to brag because of the fact that he believes that its better to show how good you are then to say it. He knows how to act humble, and he knows how to recognize when someone is as good or better than him, not letting is arrogance get in the way of that. He also seems to come off quite charismatic at times, and people he comes into contact with seem to like him whenever he gets to talking, either because they like his normally jovial personality in combination with the fact that he seems to appear to have respect for most those around him, a fact seen even through his mocking words. Unlike so many other confident bastards, he happens to believe in showing respect to his opponents unless they do something those close to him.
While prone to actually use things like deceit and misdirection to get what he wants, sometimes in less than admirable means, he's incredibly loyal to those that put their trust in him. More often than not, he often trains his body, believing that he truly needs to work as hard as possible with his 'base skills' before all else. He feels that hard work is what really defines the strong, but looks down on those who become overly arrogant in their pursuit of power. As a fighter and basketball player, he has to enjoy strength and ability when he sees it, however, and often takes what he learns from his foes as potential components for his own brand of style.
When in school, he creates his own facade that both downplays his intelligence and knowledge of all things 'nerdy' in favor of a more tough-guy persona. While not necessarily the type to stuff smaller, weaker kids in lockers, he does seem to have an air about him that suggests that he wants nothing to do with the things he truly enjoys, a decision that often put him in favor with actual arrogant jock types, as well as the members of the gang that serve under him, used as a method to improve 'chemistry with the ones that actual matter in your life', as told by his father. His tough guy persona generally intimidates people, and as a result he tends to not have too many friends in school outside other 'tough guys' that decide he's the type of guy they could understand.

The Potential
|
Strengths:
—Strength Name: Charismatic —Description: Running a gang, despite what people may think, does take quite a bit of charisma in order to convince people to join you, and to continue to follow you without issues of rampant backstabbing. Unless you're especially, terribly small time, charisma is one thing you'll always need, unless you want to rule with an iron fist. Kamina happens to be the charismatic type. Kamina finds it much easier to create Social Links with others.
—Strength Name: Intellectual —Description: Despite his size and reputation, Kamina hides a vast amount of intelligence that would probably net him high marks if he didn't try so hard to be someone he isn't. He sees through deception that he can irrationalize much easier, and is able to collect and understand information quickly and efficiently.
—Strength Name: Calm and Collected —Description: Those who run gangs have to keep their cool, unless they want to be considered weak or easy to ruffle, and Kamina has become the calmest of the calm. Kamina is the type that rarely lets situations keep him from thinking things through calmly. Kamina is able to shrug off things that most people would consider terrifying, unexpected, or in some other way distressing
—Strength Name: Brawler —Description: Kamina has been in many situations where he has had to get creative with his fighting, and as a result he's good at figuring out a way to use what is around him, and his own natural strengths to overcome, and is fairly skilled at using multiple things to hurt people, typically making all his moves on the fly tactics, yet still having their own kind of great skill. It has to help that playing sports has also helped his ability to change his game in order to gain an advantage, along with the athletic perks that came with it. Kamina gets an extra 5% to his Dex based damage.
—Strength Name: Assurance —Description: Kamina has been through enough to know better than to not make sure his enemies aren't down for the count. As a result, this sort of made him the type to instinctively try to get in an extra blow whenever he can. Kamina gets an additional attack with his Soul Bound Weapon in one attack post.
Weaknesses:
—Weakness Name: Arrogance —Description: Even if being arrogant doesn't mean that you're walking around treating people like trash, Kamina is the arrogant type. Though he typically keeps his arrogant thoughts to himself, he does genuinely think he's a cut above everyone else the vast majority of the time. Probably because he's both strong AND smart. This tends to cause him to overestimate himself when dealing with situations at hand, which may end up causing friction with those he works with directly.
—Weakness Name: Realist —Description: While some may see this as beneficial, Kamina is almost overly so. He is incapable of telling people what they want to hear just because it would make them feel better about themselves, when in reality what they want to here is nowhere near the truth. He treats situaitons with a very real outlook, and at times will seem to lack much empathy when dealing with situations where a rational silver lining simply doesn't exist.
—Weakness Name: Fury —Description: Being calm means its hard or much harder to become angry. What it doesn't mean, however, that it is an impossibility or that the anger isn't especially terrible once it is initiated. Kamina happens to have a terrible temper that translates to much more ferocious anger than most. Kamina is afflicted by the Rage ailment an additional 2 Turns.
—Weakness Name: Magically Stiffled —Description: Kamina is a fairly tough guy, and can take his fair share of punches and beatings with metal pipes. Magic, however, is another story entirely, and the foreign nature of it really gets to him. More than the other humans who have potential, and all that jazz. Kamina takes an additional 5% damage from Magic based Skills
—Weakness Name: Magically Inept —Description: Just as he is terrible with taking magical hits, he's also equally terrible at dishing them out. In fact, the foreign nature of these particular Skills happen to outright take him off his game, and he struggles to use them to even their normal level of power, even if he is aided by his persona. Kamina takes a 5% penalty to his Magic based skills.
Soul Bound Weapon: (This is the weapon you'll be able to summon to your hand while in combat. This weapon is special for your character specifically and allows you to fight Shadows without the need of summoning your Persona. This can be anything but a Gun (Or gun related weapon))
Weapon Name: Smooth Criminals Weapon Description: A pair of golden knuckles. They have a non-standard model, each area where the fingers go shaped like handcuffs, with a chain completing the design forming the bottom of the weapons. The knuckle part of the weapons also to be considerably taller, covering more of the fingers in order to have better defense. Unfortunately, like regular brass knuckles, these do little in the way of extending area of attack. Weapon Image: Weapon Attack Type: Strike Weapon Element: (Leave this blank. Only special weapons obtain an element behind its blows.)

The Background
|
History: Born to Jet and Erena Uraharu in the United States, Kamina had a life that was directed by two people of complete opposites; his father, a manly man who enjoyed sports and wanted to have his son pick on kids rather than the other way around, and his mother who was aspiring to teach English in foreign countries. As a kid, Kamina was always ahead of other kids his age, for the most part. However, with his father walking out on his mother at the age of eight, leaving her to fend for herself, he became a bit of a miscreant. Using his natural gift to outsmart most, he made quite a bit of trouble for the adults in his home town.
Though he became a troublemaker, his heart was always for his mother, and he constantly stole in order to take care of her. Soon, he decided to join others who shared similar situations, allying himself with a gang on in his home town. The leader was brash, reckless, and, to put it simple, violent. This fact didn't really matter to Kamina, so much as he was able to do what he needed to do.
Later, when another gang came to their humble town, the gang's leader, an odd guy to Kamina, showed up, trying to pay back the police for a reason that Kamina didn't care enough to find out about. Essentially, this leader had a lot of skill behind his crew, and was quite the charismatic type. With one of the gang leader that he was under's reckless actions, he was defeated, leaving Kamina impressed beyond belief.
After this, the leader, just as injured as when he fought Kamina's gang leader, tried to fight off a bunch of officers single-handedly, trying to sacrifice himself for the cause, driving them off. With this, the leader was heavily injured, having a surprised Kamina end up finding a way to get his wounds treated. To this, Kamina's leader, as well as Kamina, were 'adopted' by this strong gang leader, leaving both of them wanting to pursue a life of expanding their set.
Eventually, after Kamina and his former leader parted ways, due to different ideas on running a gang, Kamina tried to put a crew of his own together. And failed. Due to his general idea on living, he didn't really do anything notable, causing him to basically run around, claiming to be a with a gang. After a while of failure, he gave up, trying at a job, attempting to get another way to get money for his dear mother and find his friend, his former leader.
It was during this time that his father appeared back into their lives, apparently feeling bad for leaving them before, and asked to keep his son. His father had become fairly well off during this time, getting his life together and actually making money, so his mother, kind and forgiving as she was, felt like it would be ok for Kamina to spend some years with his dad. His father was a bit taken aback, however, as Kamina seemed to have been taught japanese in order to do a big move to the place at the end of the year. While Kamina resented the man for quite a bit, eventually his hidden wish to have a father overtook him, and he spent much time being taught his father's way of doing things; strong-armed underhandedness, the sort of thing the gang life had taught the young man.
Years later, Kamina made his way to Japan, due to his father being gunned down on his way to pick his son up from school. Suffice to say, this death struck the young man pretty hard, and it didn't help that the police had tied this shooting to a rival gang, revealing that his father hadn't truly gone straight after all, and he was still tied to the gang life. Of course, Kamina knew. The gang was a place he was well taught in, and he had seen the signs, even if he chose to ignore them. As a result, he blamed himself for his father's death; maybe if he had talked the man out of it, it could have worked.
Maybe if he was still with his gang, he would have been able to protect his dad?
After reuniting with his mother, he found that she had made quite the career with tutoring English to people within the city. She moved to San Malarus, feeling 'at home' there as opposed to other areas, and makes enough money to live in such a place comfortably. Of course the news of her late husband's passing took an impact on her, yet she stayed strong for Kamina, who, unbeknownst to her, was already considering the possibility of creating yet another gang; and, unfortunately, his reputation managed to follow him to a place far away from where he was from, in the most indirect way possible.
People saw his died white hair, his common attire that often included muscle shirts, his size, and his skin color. To be blunt, people all around considered him a punk, and when he transferred to Zela Academy, he was almost immediately on all the teacher's shit list. Rumors that he ran a big gang back in the states, and was a terribly dangerous guy circulated; and, for all the rumors that were wrong, they were mostly right. He collected gang members, he began to do exactly as the teacher's had expected, save a few things; he attended school regularly, stayed out of trouble relatively often, and signed up for the basketball team as a prime candidate, even if he hadn't actually come to practice yet.
As a gang leader, he is less centered on causing any real trouble, and more trying to erase gangs from the area. For all thefts and extortion, things are set back right. For every bad, he makes good out of it. To him, he's more than capable of handling any trouble he may get into, and knows exactly what he's doing, regardless of whether or not he really does. His gang has a reputation for being especially rowdy, yet no one is really sure who runs it, and Kamina is pretty focused on keeping himself from being connected to it if he can help
