| The library. He remembered this place. Here, he used to spend most of his free time just a few years ago, locking himself up during reccesses, lunch breaks and whole afternoons, you named it. Since when it was still dark when he went to school in some way his early years transcurred in the night, with the hours of light spent in school as a sort of confusing, chaotic and dislikeable stasis inbetween shade and shade that would always be spent indoors.
But he rarely came around here anymore. In such a short time both his life and himself had changed so much. He didn't need to hide anymore, not now nor never again. Still, there was so much more work left to do.
With that purpose was he here, to perform a certain 'work', one that hopefully would bring him closer to the truth. Carpet under his arm, Taiki took hold of a certain book after making sure no one was observing him, a vast maritime atlas and, zigzagging through the book shelves and the narrow pathways they formed, came into a deserted table, enclosed among the shelves and away from everyone else, his old hideout.
From how dusty the place was it was obvious not many people came around here, hell, he doubted even the librarian came over here. It was sinister really, but it also made Taiki feel oddly comfortable. Taking a seat he opened up his carpet, full of notes, drafts, cut-outs and records l, a truly staggering of nigh uncomprehensible info for the uneducated eye but that made perfect sense for the son of a sailor. Besides it he openned up the atlas, which had been drawn over by his own hand. It wasn't like anyone ever used this besides him. For a while he could be seen compared the current directions, water temperatures and pressure fronts present in the book to those in his notes as he drafted what seemed some kind of chart, but after a while he seemed to loose steam. Looking up to the ceeling, he sighed, looking back at his hand, which opened to reveal something that would horrify and even revolve the stomachs of others, but that hardly phazed the boy anymore.

| Hyde was busy in the library reading about animals in Africa. The majestic… ness of the lion as it attacked a zebra and ate it. “ Wow this is the most beautiful and graphic coloring book I ever read. “ Hyde would say to himself as he turned the page. “Now here we lead over to the mating call of a lion to another fellow lion. Wait what? Tow lions practicing their mating calls? This doesn’t make any sense. “ Hyde was getting a bit louder, but its only because he was kind o into the book. It was like his version of a dirty magazine. Ontop of that, his phone was playing some strange African music due to the fact that he didn’t turn his playlist off. IT was fitting the mood, but at the same time, some people were starting to get annoyed. “ SSShhh!!!” The library aide had enough and walked over to Hyde. Don’t you know that you are making a lot of noise, turn off your phone. “ Hyde rubbed his head and looked at his phone. “Ahh…well… I wanted to add…atmosphere? This library could be like the jungle too. You could be the lion because you watch over everything from pride rock….or…. that desk. “ Hyde would then point at the guy across from him. That guy could be one of those monkey witchdoctor-“ The librarian would then take Hyde’s phone and stop the song. After handing it back and Glaring at Hyde, he went back to his post.” Was it something I said? Afterwards, Hyde turned back to Taiki. "I wasnt trying to offend you or anything. My bad.." | |

| Taiki's hand closed, "A Monkey... Witchdoctor?... Well, that sure is a new one", the red-haired boy was quite far away, reading a... Coloring book. One meant for children. As in ages 0-8. All while playing obnoxious music from his crappy phone speakers in a library were people were trying to work or otherwise read. All in all, a solid 8 in the sliding scale of stupidity.
Nonetheless, he remembered the boy. Yes, he'd seen him before around the school even though he hadn't really talked to him before. For a moment he just stared at him in silence as if he was trying to decipher some sort of enigma, his head slightly tilted to the side as he rubbed his ear with his index finger. Finally he decided to stand up. Nothing ever was just a coincidence when it came to the T-U-R-B-O Eye, so perhaps this was meant to be, although he couldn't fathom what such a person could have to do with any of this.
With further ado, Taiki approached the boy with a calm stroll, "You, what's your name?", he said, stone faced, "You are a second year, aren't you?, I've seen you around the academy before", without requesting permission he half sat, half leaned on the table besides him, "I'm curious, what were you going about with the Witchdoctor comment?, Furthermore, what are you doing around here?, You can't seriously be reading a children's coloring book".

| “Well, I think you just answered your question. I go here, and I a am second year here, doesn’t that mean that I technically have a right to be here as long as I a enrolled here?” Hyde would rub his head with confused expression. This was a pretty odd way to start a conversation, was he picking a fight or something? ‘The witchdoctor thing? I was just making a lion king reference, I didn’t necessarily have a reason as to why I compared you to one, I was pretty much making up everything as I go. “ Hyde would then put his phone in his pocket and reach over to the reading material, lifting it up and showing it to the guy. “ This is a wildlife magazine, a special edition on the animals that lived on Malatsu before and after the volcano erupted. It’s a pretty good read. | |

| Taiki arched an eyebrow, he was... Odd. Not that he out of all people had the right to look down on anyone because of that. "Hmm, I see. My name is Taiki Hayama, class 3-B", he said, "I'm from Lunapa island, so maybe those Lion King references weren't too farfetched" a impish smirk cropped up in Taiki's face, "Still, lions in Malatsu island?, I find it hard to believe", he took a seat in front of him once again not asking wether Hyde minded or not, "They'd have a really hard time surviving seeing how there are no big animals to feed of and the British winters would be way too cold for them. And how they'd have gotten there on the first place?, Not to mention how there are no other animals from the same geographical zone in the other islands".
He slumped back on his chair, "Still, you like wildlife huh?, I myself am a sucker for everything zoology-related. I literally can't count how many hours I've spent behind the TV screen, watching a documentary after another. At this point I must know everything about half the species on Earth!", he chuckled, "Anyways, once you know them lions are actually pretty lame. You know who really rules supreme in the savannah?", he made a dramatic pause, "Hyenas. That very movie, the Lion King, has made us think of them as nothing but lowly scavengers, filthy bags of trash incapable of doing anything but leeching off of others, but in reality, hyenas are tremendously effective hunters that kill themselves an 80% of all their prey, whereas lions practically live off of scavenging. They only hunt 20% of what they eat. Everything else is either stolen prey or semi-rotten carcases".
He leaned on the table, "Not to mention how fucking ferocious they are. Honestly, I'd rather fight a lion half-naked than a hyena with a gun".

| Well, there is always the reference that the lion is the king of the jungle. What does it mean to be king anyway, is it your ferocity, or is it the fact that you contain the ability to rule over others? There is a reason why the lioness do the hunting, it’s because the lions are the boss. When it comes to other animals, like the hyena, they are always displayed as scavengers. In the lion king movie their huger was always shown as a gluttonous habit that could never be satisfied or filled, they might even eat their friends. “
Hyde would then laugh it off and realize that he didn’t introduce himself. “ My name is Hyde Mizumi, 2-A but I’ll be going up a grade soon. Doesn’t he next semester see to be starting sometime soon? “ Hyde wasn’t too sure, it wasn’t like he was used to having these kind of school like educations all prepped up for him and whatnot. “

| For a moment Taiki leaned back, tilting his chair so it was in equilibrium on its two back legs. Staring at the celling with his arms closed, he remained in silence for a few seconds. This boy, it was hard to make sense of what he meant, it was as if he struggled to make his point and then entirely lost track of it. He definitely wasn't the sharpest tool in the box or the best speaker alright, still, there were some interesting ideas in there, no matter how crudely expressed. Snapping back, he threw his weight forward, making the chair land back on its four. "I agree. To be king is inseparable from ruling. But although lions are kings, hyenas are conquerors... And its precisely their hunger what makes them so. If a king is someone that rules, a conqueror is someone that hungers. Remember, even if sovereigns command over their kind, it is conquerors the ones that can raise above humanity on the wings of their ambition".
He then stood up turned without waiting for a reply, walking away to his table. Once there he gathered all his stuff, and returned the Atlas to its exact spot, "Say, Hyde Mizumi from class 2-A, soon to be 3-A, I'm gonna head out, wanna come grab a drink?". At this point he was beginning to doubt he had anything do with the you-know-what, but either way he had worked enough for the day and he could use some socializing for a nice change of pace.

| “Ahh sure, but does it have to be in the school? I know this smoothe place that you can make smoothies from any kind of fruit in the store. It’s my favorite, you could make any kind of blend that you want, I recommend it.” Hyde would give off some friendly advice on something fun that they could do. After getting up, Hyde would put his bag on ad puts his hands in his pockets. “ Alright, well…since you proposed the idea its up to you.

| "Alright, sounds glod to me", he replied nonchalantly as he made his way for the exit alongside Hyde, carpet under arm, "I hope they have mangoes, they are my favorite".
OoC: I'm okay with that.
