Birthday presents

Good whatever-it-is-in-your-timezone everyone, my name is Tomas Elliot and I am the new guy in town. A while back, I used to be a veteran roleplayer with a penchant for controversial characters, but then university got in the way and I had to drop my hobbies to focus on studies. However, today is my birthday, and as a fitting present I finally managed to pass the biggest exam of the winter session, which means that now I'll have at least two months without a care in the world... And so I felt like getting back in the roleplaying business. And since I recently played Persona 4 Golden (a PS Vita is the only game console I legally own, not counting many PC emulators for various Nintendo and Sony consoles) and I absolutely loved it (well, most of it anyway), I thought I'd look for a place dedicated to the Persona universe... And this forum was the first result on Google.

I took the time to read the rules, the guidelines and whatnot, and I gotta say all the systems here seem to be well thought-out: the battle rules confused me a little in some aspects but well, that tends to happen to me everywhere I go, truth be told I'd prefer interact and forge bonds with people, rather than fight with them. As the Social Link system is a crucial part of every Persona game, I hopefully won't find difficulties on this regard tho. A big plus for picking this forum over others I found was the fact that most people here act as the party members of the games, in that each person gets a Persona and sticks to it, evolving it, perfecting it, but not getting in the whole "gather lots of Personae and fuse them" Wild Card business, which is an aspect of the games I quite honestly dislike for a plethora of reasons.

As it often happens to me, I am already coming up with many different ideas for possible characters: on this regard, I like using Blazblue characters as faceclaims, and it just occurred to me that you people are probably familiar with that series, as its developers are also responsible for Persona 4 Arena. I have a handful of questions to ask before proceeding, but I'll leave them to either the chat or a later post.

A bit of personal info: as mentioned, I am a university student (24 YO), I live in Italy and this means my timezone is GMT+1. Also, if I suddenly disappear from the forum, I was probably bombed by ISIS (if you follow the news, you know what I am talking about). I have a long experience as a roleplayer, and I equally enjoy playing male or female, heroic or villainous roles, but truth be told, what I really love is playing characters that don't fit, that subvert the schemes, I like being the heroic orc and the villainous elf. I romanced Chie, I think the new Golden content opened more plot holes than it closed, and I wanted Izanami (in her gas station attendant disguise) to be a Social Link option, because I like to listen to the reasons of the villains. But ehi, they gave us Adachi, so I really cannot complain.
