Monde Etape...

Yeah, she had been going here a lot lately. There were plenty of other restaurants for Azami to visit but she couldn't help herself; always tending to go here when she had freetime and didn't know exactly what to do with it. Perhaps it was the food -- she couldn't help but admit it was excellent. Still though, it seemed like there was a different reason for her coming other than merely that. Regardless of the case though she didn't mind. All she knew was that she enjoyed her time here and in the end that was good enough for her.

Sitting alone at a booth near the entrance, Azami would merely collect her thoughts about the past few days in silence. It was... a bit boring but enjoyable regardless. With a relaxed sigh she would look towards the entrance; wondering who exactly would enter next.

Hyde was wearing a different kind of outfit today; he usually changes it up when he heads on to San Malarus. He was sporting a burgundy light jacket with a few faded designs in it. He was also wearing a handmade necklace with a silver pendant that resembled a shark tooth Hyde usually wears this on colder days, they days seem to be a lot colder than usual as he approached the holidays. As Hyde continued to walk around Malarus, he had the sudden urge for some hot coco. It was around that time that Hyde conveniently passed by a restaurant called Monde Etape. “Maybe I should check this place out?” Hyde would think to himself as he walked in and looked around for a place to sit. As he moved closer, noticed a familiar face. “ Azami? What are you doing here by yourself? Or are you waiting for someone?”

Wow. They were running into each other a lot.

Hyde's unmistakable voice once again rang out in Azami's ears with an inquisitive question. Her head turned around to meet him as she confirmed that her guess was correct -- once again coming face to face with Hyde. "I'm not waiting for anyone. Just visiting a restaurant I often frequent. I'm not hungry at all today nor am I planning on ordering but I felt like I should visit regardless. Even I'm not immune to nostalgia." She would respond casually; leaning back against her seat a bit as she surveyed the area. After a while she would look back over to Hyde once more. "What about you? I assume you're grouping up with some friends here or something along those lines. Or are you perhaps alone as well?"

“Mhm…. I’m alone. I don’t have anything to do in particular today. With that being said, let’s be alone together. “ Hyde would say with a playful cheer as he sat next to her. “ Can I get a small cup of hot chocolate please?” Hyde made a small order for himself so it would seem too awkward, he didn’t want to camp out in a café of some sort and not necessarily ode anything. He was still petty new to this island himself. After ordering, Hyde would then look over to Azami, kind of wondering what she was thinking about. “Hey Azami, I know this is going to sound a bit corny. But you do come here often, right? How come? Anything special about this place?”

Azami would nod in response to Hyde's statement. After all, neither of them seemed to be doing too much and a bit of conversation couldn't hurt anything. Ordering the same as him, she'd continue to sit in silence for a few moments or so before his voice rung out. At this point she was... dumbstruck, oddly enough. It was a simple question -- one that she never seemed to have posed to herself. Really, there technically wasn't anything too special about the area. While the meals held up to their standards, even being exquisite and masterful when it came to some of the items they served, that wasn't necessarily the reason why she came here too often. And while it was the closest restaurant to her house that didn't feel as if it were the right answer either...

Then it hit her.

"I suppose the real reason why I come here so often is nostalgia. I'm not really a sentimental person, or at least I wouldn't describe myself as such, but it's the only answer that comes to mind that makes sense. It's one of the first places I visited after arriving here in Azores after all."

Oh really? This café was the first place that you visited when you first came to Azores? Wonder if it had a specific calling to it? Maybe the hot chocolate isn’t really hot chocolate?” Hyde would then take a sip of his hot chocolate when it arrived and smiled. “Nope, it’s safe to say that the drink is still tasty. If that’s the case, ten maybe there is some alluring presence abut this place after all? Did you come alone last time too? OR did you go with someone? Maybe your parents? It’s not unusual for people who just came here to Azores to develop some tourist hobbies along the way.

Though her face didn't show it a sharp sting came with that suggestion... a throbbing pain that she did an excellent job of concealing. Hopefully she would do just as well at answering his question and changing the conversation; albeit it she never had been one to lead a discussion in any sort of direction. With a shake of her head she would look over to Hyde and would simply issue a calm reply, "I came alone on my first day here. That's all there really was to it. It wasn't a significant visit by any means -- moreso just an average activity on a significant day."

Despite the fact that the beverage sat right in front of her, Azami chose not to partake in it; choosing to glare at it for a while. It seemed to hit her now that she hadn't been too thirsty in the first place... In fact, a lot of the knowledge she was gaining right now she had gotten too late; even when it came to mere minuscule facts such as whether or not she desired a drink. Regardless though, there was no point in simply starring at it. She had ordered it and to let it sit there wouldn't do anyone any good. With that she'd take a quick sip of it, setting it down afterwards.

"Anyway Hyde, how's life been treating you recently? Been showing anyone else around Lunapa lately?"

No, I managed to get pretty caught up with a lot of things. Homework is piling up just a bit, and there a bunch of personal issues that I found myself taking responsibility for. I don’t really have the time to goof around, but I don’t mind setting some time aside to get to hang out you on days like this. But, that’s only if you are fond of it, I’m not too sure if you like my company or not sometimes you kno?” Hyde would make a small chuckle as he took another sip of his hot chocolate. “ Hey Azami Chan, is your hot coco too hot for you? Want me to blow on it?”
