| The sky was cloudy and the scent of rain hung in the air; however, with the forecast claiming that no rain would come until later in the evening, the young woman who lived in the large Rose Mansion decided that an overcast day would be a perfect day to do some much need house work. It had been a year since anyone properly lived in the Rose Mansion thanks to events of the past; however, to look at the house it would appear that more than a year had passed. While the outside was still in good condition with the only problem being some overgrown plants here and there in the yard, the inside of the house was still a chaotic mess of dust, cobwebs, and boxes that had been left behind when her father had decided to take her on that fateful trip to the labs.
When she and Snow had returned to old manor after gaining their freedom, Snow cleaned out a room for her and did his best to spruce up the large place; however, being one person there was only so much he could do on his own before he was forced to rest. Sure, hiring servants would’ve been nice, but there were currently very few that wanted to work for a child whose whole family and work force had disappeared in the course of a few months. Hyacintha suppose she couldn’t blame them for their fear of “disappearing” too; however, the girl did wish some were brave enough to take on the task of working for her. Snow, while strong, needed a rest and it would be nice not to feel guilty about standing off to the side and lifting little things while her friend did all the real work. With more hands involved, the job of getting the house back in order would be a piece of cake, but….
Hyacintha sighed lightly as her dark eyes drifted back to the front door of the house. Hyacintha was standing to the left side of the old path that led up to the house. She was dressed in a pink and white dress of ruffles and bows. The white gloves on her hands went all the way up to her elbow and the pink parasol she held over head shaded her body from the small amount of light that was out. One would think the girl was a princess or perhaps trying to mimic the character Princess Peach from Mario Brothers; however, the fancy dress ware was the norm for the girl who watched the figure in mostly black pushing out the umpteenth box from the house.
Unlike herself, the figure in black wore a maid apron, a bandana over his hair, and a mask over his nose and mouth. Despite having the odd attire of the maid apron on, dust and cobwebs clung to the guy that pushed the box onto the porch and then carefully moving it around, the young man dragged it down the stairs before shoving it to the right where it joined the other piles of boxes that were collecting in the yard.
Watching the young man pause for a moment to catch his breath, Hyacintha automatically felt her own self become even more tired than usual. The sensation was familiar to her. It had been sinced the day she was changed; however, pushing those thoughts aside, Hyacintha shifted from her spot and headed back towards the house as Snow turned to go back in.
“Rest,” Hyacintha said as she got within hearing range of the young man. Snow paused inside of the door as he turned to look at her, his serious eyes watching her as she stood at the bottom of the stairs to the porch.
“Rest,” Hyacintha repeated in a gentler tone to which the other reluctantly nodded and drifted back outside to sit on the top step to the porch. As her companion did this, Hyacintha folded her umbrella and took off her gloves as she moved forward and sat the articles on the porch next to Snow who glanced questioningly from the items to her.
“I’ll sort through the items,” Hyacintha said with a smile. In response, Snow looked like he was about to get up, but Hyacintha stopped him. “Nuh-uh. You stay right there. I got this,” she said with a light giggle as the other stared at her in disbelief before settling back into his spot again on the porch. Still smiling, Hyacintha moved down the stairs once more and made her way to the closest box and pried the thing open. Peering at the content inside, she began to shift through the items seeing which ones needed to stay and which ones needed to go. As she worked, she didn’t seem to care that her pretty dress or herself was getting dirty from the items. No, she simply hummed happily as she picked up one item after the other out of the box sorting them into a trash pile and a keep pile.
While she worked, Snow pulled down the mask from his face and let it dangle around his neck for a bit before he reached into his back pocket for a cloth. Grabbing the smudged item, he took off his glasses and began to wipe his face of the grim upon it. As he did this, his senses remained on high alert as he kept an eye on his companion as she hummed and worked.
As this played out, neighbors would occasionally pause to glance at the strange site in the yard. The mistress of the house working and the servant sitting down and watching? What sort of madness was this? No one was quite sure, but for the pair who existed in the odd situation, everything was normal and balanced. |

| So, this was Penecia Island? Telling from the locals, this place seemed to be where the most wealthy were located. One would believe Gael would despise people of wealth who have made it up the totem pole in this society, but he did not. He understood the way they came into power was not by following society's rules, but instead circumventing them. A round about way to get around the status quo, but it was acceptable in his eyes. His first stop would be the residential area of this island. That's where he believed he'd meet the most interesting people. He wished to understand the mindset of someone who lived above the poverty line, and thus this island was most likely the best area to start.
Gael walked the streets with a book in hand and a smile on his face. His golden eyes scanned the area, looking from left to right in search of a suitable target for his deeds for the day. He saw plenty of families, all ripe for the picking. He had even crossed the street to speak to a man that was out getting his morning paper. The man seemed to be looking towards something, and Gael stopped his advance to look himself. Here, he would see two individuals. One sitting on the porch, wearing peculiar outfit; and another young lady, dressed like a princess. They seemed rather interesting, and thus they stole Gael's attention from the man.
The man with the bleach white hair would walk towards the home, book still in hand, and an easy smile on his face. He made sure to raise one hand to signal to the two before making his way onto their property. Hopefully they wouldn't attempt to shoot him with a conceal weapon just for trespassing on their property without a formal introduction. If allowed, he'd close the distance between them, still standing on the pathway up to their house, giving them plenty of space. Children were surprisingly honest, so he was curious about these two. However, now standing closer to the house, something seemed quite different when compared to the rest of the area. He could not place his finger on it, but something about this household was quite peculiar. Regardless, he gave a soft smile at the one sitting on the porch.
"Excuse me for being so bold, and approaching you here unannounced. Would your parents happen to be home? My name is Alan, and I'm quite new to this neighborhood." This question was more of an introduction than anything here. He did wonder if their parents were anywhere to be found. But more importantly, he wished to ask them questions. Whoever these two were, they would be of much use in understanding how these series of islands worked. Gael wished to know where to hit first to cause this order to begin to crumble. This took him going to each island and gaining information. It was a troublesome task, but it reaped rewards one could only dream of.
- Traits:
—Strength Name: Charisma —Description: Something about Gael makes him rather appealing to the average person. They seem to take his words as fact, even if they make no sense, and see him as someone who could lead them to a better life. Of course this is all lies behind a thin grin.

| Hyacintha continued to clean and hum, her mind in another world as she sorted old toys, clothing, and other things into neat little piles to the left and right of her. As she stood on tip-toes to reach further in the box, she would continue to work completely oblivious to what was happening around her. It would’ve been easy for someone to sneak up on her and potentially even kidnap the oblivious girl had she been alone; however, she was not alone.
Snow who had just finished wiping away most of the grim off his face was neatly folding the cloth back up and had just stuck it in his pocket, when he got the sensation that something was watching them that did not normally watch them. Snow’s dark eyes would narrow as he scanned the area, the blurs here and there easy to mark out as neighbors that were common to the young man; however, as his narrowed eyes locked on a figure coming from across the street towards them, Snow would slip back on his glasses as the other waved to announce his approach.
Not acknowledging the wave, Snow stood up as he pushed his glasses back with one hand as the other went into a pocket of the maid apron. Not shammed at all by the dress wear, Snow would come down the steps at a casual pace before taking a few steps forward to place himself at a respectful distance from the stranger, but also in a position that if the other wanted to get to the girl digging through the boxes he would have to go through him first.
It was true the other man was older and taller than Snow; however, not one to fear anything, serious eyes would take in the handsome man and the words he spoke with that smile. To a regular around here, the words would’ve been sweet enough to charm anyone; however, Snow was not easily impressed by words or actions, so as the other appeared to be friendly, Snow would hardly crack a smile as he shifted his weight to the left and placed one hand on his hip.
“What do you want?” was the cold question that came from his lips as he watched the other not sure if he liked the vibe or not that was being given off by the other. He was definitely strange; however, before Snow could even begin to get a better grip upon this strange fellow, Hyacintha piped up from behind him.
“Oh come now! Where are your manners?” Hyacintha said in a voice that while innocent held a hint of scolding to them. To this, Snow bowed his head and shook it slightly. He seemed to take the scolding seriously for after a moment, Snow would reluctantly look over at the man in the yard with a hint of embarrassment on his face as he let out an audible, “My apologizes, sir,” before giving a light bow to the other. However, how sorry Snow truly was questionable as Hyacintha moved to his side with a bright smile upon her face and addressed the other.
“Hello, Mr. Alan. Welcome to Penecia Island! My name is Hyacintha and this is Snow. I am afraid if you are looking for an adult, you’d have to look elsewhere. There is just me and Snow here. Still, if we can be of any service, please let us know,” she said giving the man a friendly bow in greeting. Unlike Snow who seemed reluctant to be nice to the stranger, it would appear that Hyacintha was more open and talkative than the latter.
Still despite giving out a lot of information that probably should not have been given to shady strangers, Hyacintha remained bubbly as she stood next to Snow who watched the other coldly for a wrong move. ________________
Hyacintha's Mood: Oblivious and kind. Snow's Mood: Cautious and very much aware of Mr. Alan.

| Gael was rather quiet when the male of the duo spoke coldly towards himself. His smile remained intact, but his golden eyes seemed to shine, as if looking right through the boy. For a brief moment, it seemed that smoothness known as Gael, felt rather cold and cruel. However, there was only a hint to this before the white haired man rubbed his hand across his draping locks. "Excuse me if I've somehow came off as rude or intruding. However, I'm sure you're going to make it far in this world speaking so freely, without biting your tongue every so often. I like that. It's very promising." Gael was not mocking the boy, surprisingly. Infact, he was praising him for showing his true emotions, and not being socially chained to the point where he'd have to put on a false smile. Though, would that make Gael a hypocrite for wearing such a fake smile himself? Not at all. Because as stated before, to overcome society, sometimes you needed to play by its rules for some time.
When he became aware that it was just these two, Gael questioned to himself if their parents were out. Well, he honestly doubted that, but to think these two were alone was quite outstanding as is. The golden eye'd man would take the book in his hand and begin to run a finger down the warm spine. "I must apologize myself for appearing so suddenly. Even I would give a hostile first glance at an unknown individual on my property. However, I approached you two for a specific reason." His finger slid across the cover of the red cased book, as his golden eyes followed along. "Do you happen to read any literature? ...Well if you do, or you do not, anyone can note that books are surprisingly honest. Not just the content of the books. No, if you were to download the contents of the book online, it would not have the same impact as physically holding a copy. Books are not only read for just the words, but it is to hone your senses about this world we live in. When you physically have something like this in your hands, you can understand it much more. Each time your fingers touch a page, you can understand the history of what you're holding. It tunes and adjusts your mind, so you have a more complete understanding of what makes you interested, and what path you'd like to follow in your life. Books, and literature as a whole, are very honest." His golden eyes looked up from the red book and back upon the two before him. "And just like this book, you two look rather honest aswell. The moment I saw you two in person, something told me I would need to adjust myself to speak with you. Your story seems much more interesting than the stories of your neighbors who simply watch you from afar."
Gael lowered his book and gave a formal bow to the two standing upon the porch. "'Small minds are concerned with the extraordinary, great minds with the ordinary.'. I believe this fits this ordinary meeting between strangers. I'd simply like to ask you two a few questions about the island. But first, I'm curious. Does this place only belong to you two? What happened to your family?" Perhaps a delicate answer, but the pale man still asked it with that soft smile he would be known for. He showed no hostility towards them, and seemed honestly curious on their lives more than anything else at the moment.

| Before Hyacintha had approached to scold Snow for his behavior, the young man had watched the other with a cold and calm stare that did not hide how he felt about the other. This space was his and announced or not, he did not like new faces just wandering into it. Call it territorial or what have you, but it was just an instinct and trait of Snow’s that for him was so natural to do even if to some it may have seem animalistic in a way. But why this was so natural to him, he could not remember. Still, that hardly mattered as he watched the white hair man’s golden eyes seemingly shine with something that caused Snow to somewhat drop his coldness as his frown faded and his annoyed expression softened a bit as he tilted his head to the left slightly. He looked the other up and down with curiosity wondering just what this man was for ordinary was definitely not the word for him. In any case, the curiosity lasted for only a second before the man was moving and opening his lips.
To his words, Snow looked at the other with an cool gaze as a single word escaped his mouth.
“Cute,” he said refusing to be any kinder than was necessary to the man. Still, at least the flattery had won slight points for the man in Snow’s book. It wasn’t everyday that some actually appreciated open honestly without getting all wound up over nothing. The change up was nice, even if it could be a lie. Whatever the case was, Snow would not ponder it much longer as Hyacintha came to his side scolding him a bit before turning her attention to Mr. Alan as she spoke.
When she finished, the girl tilted her head lightly at the man as she watched the other from behind her round glasses. He had approached them for a reason? Oh, what could that reason have been? Was he perhaps selling something from that book he had, or was he perhaps one of those wandering preachers that came from time-to-time to spread various messages and sometimes rumor around the neighborhood? Curious, the young lady gave her full attention to the man while Snow simply kept a cautious eye on him.
The pair would listen to the man before a silence would fall between them. The wind would blow causing the tall grass to bend and rustle as for a few seconds Hyacintha and Snow observed the man in silence and then the pair were reacting in different ways.
Hyacintha giggled lightly as she lifted a pale hand to cover her lips quite amused and thrilled with the man while Snow seemed to relax slightly as he let his arms drop to his side and a small smirk appeared on his face as Hyacintha spoke. Apparently something about the man what the man had said had impressed them.
“You are the first person in a long while to actually understand the true meaning of literature. Most think it just decoration to make them seem knowledgable and well educated; however, the show is quite silly. I think Alice in Wonderland is a good example of just how silly society with all its rules can truly be," Hyacintha said in her bubbly fashion as the smile and friendliness remained around her. She seemed to like the other almost instantly; however, her amused guardian was harder to read. Despite the smirk upon his lips there was still coldness lingering around the young man who watched the pair interact, but said nothing.
“As for honesty,” Hyacintha said as she folded her arms behind herself and leaned forward looking up at the other with an innocent gaze. “That depends on how oblivious to the truth one is. If f one floats in the dreamscape without realizing how fake it is, you can never be honest. It appears we may be the only ones not fully sleep these days, so naturally you and us have more interesting things to share with one another than those that are still sleeping,” Hyacintha said as her eyes narrowed with delight as she met the other’s gaze evenly.
After the words were spoken, Hyacintha would eventually stand up straight as the other bowed formally to herself and Snow. The action only seemed to impress and charm Hyacintha even more; however, Snow remained unreadable.
To the man’s questions, Hyacintha nodded.
“Mhmm. All this space and it's just the two of us,” she said with a light frown. “I’ve been looking for more hands to help spruce the place up, but what do you do when no one wants to work for you?” she asked as she shook her head before falling silent to ponder the little issue of workers for a moment longer. She really did need to find more ways to bring workers in….
In any case, while she thought Snow would watch the other quietly for a few moments before answering the question that Hyacintha forgot about when her mind turned to workers again.
“The members of the this household have cease to exist in the dream as the truth claimed them in its own way. Now only she and I remain to continue on in the dream since our purpose has not been fulfilled yet.” The answer was a quiet one devoid of hostility, but not friendly either. It was simply calm, plain, and honest.
Another moment of silence would fall between them as the finality of Snow’s words were allowed to sink in. Then the silence was broken by the light gasping of Hyacintha as she snapped back to reality and remembered something as she looked apologetically at Mr. Alan.
“Forgive me for not offering earlier, but would you like to come in? The place may be a mess, but I am sure we can find a comfortable spot for you and perhaps even a drink,” Hyacintha asked as she nodded in the direction of the large house. She didn’t seem to be frightened about allowing a stranger who was much older than herself in the house or being openly honest about the situation she was in. The behavior suggested she was either too trusting or extremely confident in Snow’s ability to protect her to do such a thing. However she came off to the other didn’t seem to bother the girl, who waited for an answer to her question. ________________________

| "Ah, you seem rather educated of literature yourself. And not only this, but you seem to be self aware regarding this world we live in aswell. Then I believe we can have a proper conversation, devoid of lies." Gael gave an honest smile to the two, and continued to listen as the young female began to explain their circumstance. Such a large place to maintain themselves, no wonder the neighbors seemed so interested in their personal affairs. It was safe to assume their parents were either deceased, or 'flew the coop' as one would say. Telling by the statement the young man gave, Gael had a sort of understanding, and would close his eyes with a smile. "I see. Well, you both seem rather competent. I, myself, was alone at a young age. Though, quite younger than yourselves." The man stroked his chin with a smile, as his keen golden eyes would narrowly open. Those days of his past were quite something. However, reminiscing now would simply be a waste of time. It was rare for him to meet someone where they could have an intelligent discussion, devoid of holding their tongue and masking their words. When the young maiden offered something to drink inside, he'd nod and slowly begin his stride. "It's been quite some time since I've had a discussion with someone in this manner. You wouldn't happen to have some English tea as we discuss some things, would you?" The white haired man gave a smile. "Though, perhaps I'm being too picky. What do you have to offer?"
As he entered the home, if they truly would have allowed him, his eyes would have taken in the scene entirely. Safe to say, the building looked abit better on the outside than it did on the inside. They didn't seem to be lying about their circumstance. It also appeared as if they had been sorting through some of things. Did they just recently come back to this home? This was surely a strange sight, and it piqued Gael's curiosity. "You two are rather interesting. I'd be willing to sit and hear your own two stories, if you have the time." He waved a hand through his bleached white hair, as he looked over his shoulder at the two of them. "However, I believe I said I'd like to have a discussion void of lies. So perhaps I should speak to you in an sincere tone. I came here not only to learn about Penecia, but also about the other islands aswell. I wish to understand Azores, and Azores' society as a whole, so I can abolish it utterly. Only those with a closed mind, still 'dreaming', would be threatened by such a goal. However, I am an ordinary man with ordinary dreams. What man or woman does not secretly wish to do away with the rules that bind them? None. I am simply taking the first step towards this action." Gael gave a soft smile, as he turned to them entirely.
"Allow me to reintroduce myself. I am called Gael. I will be the one to free the minds of those still dreaming in this world." His soft smile turned into one more sinister, atleast until he gave a heartfelt laugh. "Of course, you two would not need to worry about such a thing. I can tell you're already on your way to understanding the faults of this world. The real question is: What will you do about it? It's much easier to follow the stream, but being the singular rock that holds its ground is much more rewarding."

| Hyacintha's innocent smile and delight with the stranger only grew as he spoke. It was indeed going to be a good day. It was not often she found someone who spoke so openly of things without hiding behind false faces. As she watched the other smile, she found herself easily liking the other even more, even if he was just a stranger. Due to how easily he had charmed her, there was no issue for her to openly state her and Snow's situation before falling into thought leaving a brief moment for Snow to interact with the man. While Snow remained slightly amused with the well spoken man, who his master seemingly liked, the young man did not trust the other so easily as he watched the other react to his words. There was a hint of understanding there, but for Snow who was not exactly to attached to the ones he had "woken up" the understanding did nothing to phase him as he listened to the other speak.
He would nod lightly at the other as he spoke. "That must've been tough, but at least you did not let it defeat you," Snow would say in calm and quiet voice that made it almost seemed as if he cared; however, if one paid close attention to his eyes, one could see there was no warmth or care to be found within Snow. He simply said the words because that it what he had learned to do with such situations. In any case, once the words were spoken Snow would fall silent once more observing the odd man with light curiosity. When the small silence was broken by Hyacintha's offer to the man, the girl would tilt her head slightly at the request that was made.
"Hmm, we'll have to check on that one for I am not sure if I restocked that one. I have some Green Tea, water, and maybe even a bottle of wine hidden somewhere in the chaos," the girl said as she turned her attention to the house. "To be honest, we'd have to do a bit of digging to find other options. We never have prepared properly for guests."
Hyacintha would chuckle as she began to follow the other to the house, showing she was indeed serious about letting the other inside. Snow would follow behind her. Once everyone was inside, Snow would close the door before pausing at the door as the man began to speak.
To his first set of words, Hyacintha clasped her hands in front of her swaying slightly as her smile remained on her face. "All we have these days are time," she would begin in happy tones. “Besides story time is the best time, especially when you have such fascinating guests to swap tales with," Hyacintha said with a light giggle as she watched the other before her and Snow. When the other began to speak once more and turn slightly to them, Hyacintha’s smile faltered slightly as she became intrigued by the words that were being said. When the man turned to face them fully after his speech, Hyacintha found herself a hypnotized by those strange eyes of his as he reintroduced himself as Gael and said what he planned to do.
Once the words were said and the question was asked, Hyacintha was quiet for a moment as she considered what had been said. She had taken notice of his more sinister smile, but did not find herself afraid as she kept the smile upon her lips as she walked towards the man at a casual pace.
“That is indeed an ordinary dream; however, I find it fascinating that your dream and our dream match up quite well,” she paused a few feet before the man as she looked up at him with an innocent smile, but it was the dark eyes behind the glasses that suggested perhaps she was considering something more as she observed the pale man up close with a semi-serious gaze for a few seconds.
Then her cute little face was crinkling with delight once more as she seemed to settle on something in her mind. With a light “Mhmm!” of approval, she slid past the taller man and began heading further into the house as she spoke.
“Snow, look extra hard for that tea for our guest, okay?” she said getting a light “Right” from the young man before he was moving off to the kitchen. As Snow moved off into the chaos of box, cobwebs and dust on his mission, Hyacintha would gesture for the older gent to come with her. She would lead the man to the open living room where a table and two chairs sat under the ancient chandelier that still gave light despite being in desperate need of dusting.
Regardless of the chaos, Hyacintha would offer the other the opposite chair before sliding onto the other chair herself, allowing her feet to swing slightly since they did not touch the floor. She leaned against the table resting her elbows on the elegant glass before clasping her hands together as she moved them to meet her chin as she bowed her head slightly.
“Your timing could not have been more perfect Mr. Gael. You see Snow and I were discussing not too long ago what to do with this dreamscape. Should we play with it? Collapse it? Or ignore it? The questions and options went on, but we could not find a solid answer; however,” she would pause as Snow came back into the room with a tray set up with a tea pot, cups, a sugar bowl, cream, and spoons. He had even found some fruit, cheese, and crackers for the pair to snack on should they wish. Taking the items to the table, he would sit them down near the center to allow easy reach for the pair should the man decide to sit and join Hyacintha. Once the items were down, Snow backed off slightly as he looked at the man with serious eyes.
“Perhaps the reason we didn’t settle on a decision was because we were meant to wait for something instead,” Snow said quietly before he stood up straight and backed into the shadow of house. The only sign that he was still around was the glint off his glass that suggested he was sitting or lying somewhere on the ground in the shadows not too far from the lit area the Hyacintha sat in.
As Hyacintha reached for her cup, she nodded as she continued where Snow left off.
“Mhmm. Perhaps that is indeed why we could not figure out which direction to take our musings,” she said as she sat her cup down before looking at the tray that also had tea bags sealed up upon it. She picked up an green tea and found herself quite pleased when underneath the one she had picked up was a sealed bag of English tea for their guest. Honestly, if Snow was not so good at what he did, Hyacintha highly doubted that anything would be found or done properly. Life would be a complete mess indeed.
“I think what we need is a teacher that can show us how to hold our ground in the stream rather than float along it and somewhat hold onto semi-solid ground. The rewards of being able to finally take root somewhere would be much better than the current short lived spots of happiness we have. Besides, digging into these islands should not be too hard and it sounds like a lot of fun,” Hyacintha said as she poured hot water over the tea bag with light giggle in response the other’s laugh, then becoming serious she looked over at Gael with a grin and glint in her eyes that suggested she may not be as innocent as she seemed.
“Besides, who can pass up the opportunity to pass the dreamers over to the truth?” she said as her eyes narrowed with a hint malice, not towards her guest, but at the world; however, the look was short lived before it was softening and the young woman was back to her bubbly self as she began to stir the tea as she watched the other.
“You don’t happen to know any good teachers of what I seek do you?”
Her voice was sweet and innocent, but the look in her eyes showed she meant business. _________________________ Hyacintha’s Mood: Interested in what you have to offer.
Snow’s Mood: Watchful, but yet to be fully impressed by your words. Still curious to see what happens though.

| "It's quite alright. I would not blame you for not having what I asked for. After all, I did come here unannounced." Gael responded with a soft voice, as his golden eyes narrowed and he gave a smile. The pale man would simply listen to the young woman now; letting her speak without interruption for the most part. When she motioned for him to follow her, he'd simply give a nod and walk with a silent stride. As he was directed, he'd take a seat opposite from her, and would lean back in the chair. He'd let one leg cross over the other, as he placed the book on his lap and watched her with open ears. Gael was quite the listener so he did not mind her explaining her story. Infact, he found enough interest in these two to want to learn their upbringing that caused for them to understand that the rules of this world were limiting.
When Snow re-entered the room, Gael would give a silent thanks for the tea, and would lean forward to grasp a cup and a tea bag. When he was traveling, he had found some appeal to these simple drinks. Soothing. Water was just one ingredient for true english tea, as a hint of milk needed to be added to express its true flavor. However, for the sake of the two others, Gael would be content with just a water base for this tea. And so, he'd remove the tea bag and place it within the cup, simple and clean.
Moving on from, his eyes would narrow towards hers as she mentioned needing a teacher. A smile came across his face, as he smiled and poured the warm liquid in his own cup. "I see. I would surely like to be bold enough to say I will be your teacher, however matters such as this require one to teach themselves. I wouldn't be against guiding you along your journey. This is a rare occurrence, so I would be interested in seeing how you mature during this process of freeing yourself from restraint." Gael removed the tea bag and sat it down upon a napkin. Reaching forward, he would grasp a cracker and simply let it soak within the warm liquid for several seconds. "Before we get down to business in deciding how we'll go about crumpling this society, I need to learn more about your past. Care to explain how you ended up here, alone? Tell me your story." Gael would take a bite from the cracker before savoring the taste and finishing it promptly.

| To the tall stranger’s words regarding being unprepared for guests, Hyacintha would give him a bright smile in response to the smile he gave to her. He was so well mannered that the girl couldn’t helped, but be charmed by his words and actions. While the man easily won points from the girl, Snow was a different story. As he trailed along behind the pair as they walked in the house, he would remain quiet, serious, and unreadable as he watched the pair interact and talk.
Once inside the house and being sent off on his mission for tea, the quiet young man would work with ease within the darkness of the kitchen his eyes naturally attuned to such an atmosphere. As he worked and found what was needed for their guest and even some other treats along the way. He could hear the chatter drifting through the old empty manor. Sensing only delight and calmness from his master, Snow did not mind waiting for the water to boil or taking a bit of time in prepping the tray of things for the pair to share.
When he re-entered and was thanked for the tea by the gentleman called Gael, Snow would give him a light nod in return, a small sign of respect before retreating to the more darker side of the room the pair were in. He would settle on a pile of old pillows on the floor relaxing easily in them before becoming still to listen and watch what may occur between the relaxed guest and his master.
Hyacintha watched the other equally carefully as she took in the way he easily settled into the chair and accepted the offer of drink and food easily enough. She watched how he made his tea and how he responded to her words about a teacher with that same smile before his lips were parting and he was speaking once more. As he spoke, Hyacintha took a quiet sip of her tea as she listened to the words he said.
“If you will truly be our teacher, then by all means we will do our best to learn what we can and not disappoint,” Hyacintha said in a calm, yet jovial voice as her eyes narrowed over the rim of her cup as she smiled at the other. She took another sip of her tea as the other picked up a cracker to soak it in his tea before saying another set of words. In response to what was said, Hyacintha quietly placed her cup down as she reached over to the food and plucked off a grape before placing the item in her mouth and eating it as she contemplated how to explain her and Snow’s situation. Then deciding to start from somewhere near the beginning, Hyacintha spoke.
“I cannot remember clearly all the details, but I do remember all this started when my father gained a new job in some labs that were a good distance from here I believe. I can’t remember the name of the company that hired him at the moment, but I do remember that shortly after he gained his new job things would begin to vanish. First it was the servants, then my mother, and finally me,” she said as she looked down at her tea her eyes becoming slightly unfocused as her mind wandered into her past.
“I know I was taken to the labs and forced to face some form of darkness. I remember being afraid until one day after a long sleep, I woke up feeling light as a feather with Snow by my side,” she said as she blinked and glanced over to the shadows where the glint of Snow’s glasses could still be seen.
“After that day, life was full of so much joy and fun. I was able to get close to my father, but found I could not handle seeing him stuck in the dream, so I gave him an offer,” her eyes would turn back to her guest. “I asked if he wanted wake up from the dream and when he said yes, Snow was able grant him his wish. After that there was no need to linger in the labs, so we cleaned house and wandered back here and well after so long of being absence you can see what has happened to the house,” Hyacintha said as she gave the other a smile before picking up her tea again and taking a sip of the warm liquid once more. As she lowered the cup once more, her eyes would meet Gael’s golden ones.
“And you? What is your story?” she asked in innocent tones before falling silent to let the man speak if he wished. _______________________________________________________ Hyacintha’s Mood: Still interested and open towards her guest. Snow’s Mood: Calm and watchful, but not hostile.

| Gael listened to the young woman's story with narrowed eyes. He was interested. Quite interested. A foreign lab somewhere? What did they do to this girl, and what darkness was she forced to face? Gael's life was quite different from hers, but for her to come to such a conclusion is interesting. This world was a dream to her? Gael was an ordinary man, so when he heard this, he saw his opportunity. The hearts of ordinary people were cruel. They wished to use those they could for their own benefit. Gael would be lying to himself if he didn't believe he didn't think about using the more girl for his own means aswell. Though something came over the white haired man. He knew he wasn't longed for this world, and in his lifetime there was a chance he would not be able to destroy this chained world and bring about true freedom. That was where these two came in. To continue where he'd left off. There was nothing more powerful than a legacy. The mere thought would put a smile on his face, as he tilted his head forward.
"An interesting life story. Sadly, I can not tell you the same exciting story. I'll keep it rather brief, my dear. If you don't mind, of course." Gael would lean forward and place his cup of tea down upon the table. His eyes would close, as he'd lean back and fold his hands over his book. "Ever since I was a child I was painfully aware of myself. So aware that I felt those around me, who were simply following their guided paths in life, were sickening. I even recall one day, one of my classmates spoke to me. He was a very polite child, but what he spoke of disgusted me. His parents were very powerful: If I recall, his family ran a powerful mining facility in the mountains near our town. He needed to control himself to not hurt their family business. To think a child would have to pretend to enjoy things he did not, and keep his mouth shut, was such a constraining thought. They were denying him his basic instincts simply for their own image. I couldn't help but vomit on him." Gael gave a sly smile as he chuckled to himself abit and opened his eyes. "I thought it was quite funny, he did not. The normal person would apologize, but I would not. Why fake an apology when I was not sorry for what I had done? I never understood these unwritten rules society had given us. When I attempted to ask my family, I was brushed off. Perhaps they didn't even know the reason for this." Gael fell silent for a few seconds, as his hands crossed over his lap. He remembered that feeling back then. He truly felt alone. Being the only child who questioned these things, and being seen as strange or brushed off would make anyone feel lonely. He found his only friend within literature. His only bond within the pages of the books he so loved.
His golden eyes looked down towards his book, and he gave a slight chuckle. "Moving on, I decided to leave home at a rather young age. You could say I ran away, and went on a journey to understand myself, and this world I live in. There are details which you'll learn as you come to know me closer, but I'd rather leave it at that, if you do not mind." Gael leaned forward and took his cup of tea in hand, taking a quick sip. "Now that I understand you abit more, I'd like to ask. Does these series of islands have a capital? A central location to where, if everything were to come crashing down, it effect this whole region as a whole? Would you happen to know?"

| Hyacintha talked, barely noticing any malice from the man that sat across from her listening to her story with great interest. As she retold the story to the best of her abilities, there were still some areas that her mind refused to make clear to her. She couldn’t remember fully what happened to her or why it was Snow had suddenly appeared in her life. All she could remember was what she had told and nothing more. It was strange having these holes here and there in the mind. After all, her memory was not bad, so what was it that caused some of the past to be hidden in a shroud of darkness? What was missing?
As bothersome as the thoughts were, the girl did not let this show as she finished her story and then turned her eyes to her guest and questioned him about his story. She had no clue what the man was planning to do or how she and Snow fit into the puzzle, but at that moment she wasn’t particular concerned about the danger either. She had found another similar to her. One that was trying to do something about the dream world that people lingered in without a care. This was a man that could potential change the world. Bring it to its knees and then deliver all to the truth. It would indeed be a delightful thing to witness and be apart of provided the man was not all talk.
While the other was indeed interesting and Hyacintha was willing to come along for the ride, she was no fool. She knew some people could talk big things, but never do them; however, something deep within told her that this one might be different, but still only time would reveal the truth of that matter.
In any case, as the man began to answer her question, Hyacintha shut down her wandering thoughts as she ate another grape and quietly drank her tea as she gave the other her full attention. Unlike herself, he seemed to have a very different life from her own deciding at a young age what he wanted to do in the world and then left to grab that dream even when no one was there to support him. While the man could’ve been making up a story just to impress her, Hyacintha hung onto every word as if they were truth as she absorbed the man’s story, giggling where appropriate or remaining quiet as she focused on the man before her. When he finished speaking, Hyacintha nodded as she spoke.
“Your tale is interesting too. I would certainly enjoy hearing more in the future and who knows maybe those blanks that I have in my memories may come to light too,” she said giving the other a big grin of delight before taking another sip of her tea.
As she was lowering the cup, she heard the man ask a question, but she was not the one to answer it.
“You’re standing right on it in a sense,”Snow’s voice would drift from the shadows from the area where the glint of his glasses gave away his location. “Penecia Island is right in the middle of this region. Ironic don’t you think?”
The calm voice would finish with a hint of a unseen grin in it as Hyacintha placed her cup down.
“Oh! He’s right and on top of that this place draws tons of people to it, so it could probably be a starter point,”she said with a light giggle. ______________________________________________________

| Gael stroked his chin in thought once taking in the information they had supplied. He was surprised this very location was the backbone of Azores. Well, if that were the case, he'd need to go about his plans on crumpling this system. There were still more islands he needed to learn about, and their purpose in this region. You could compare this process to building blocks. Thought removing the most upper block would lower its height and standard, it was always best to start at the bottom so the whole system fell upon itself. This wasn't his first time doing something such as this. Infact, Azores was just another stop on his travels around the world. Gael was not immortal in the least, so he knew this stop would need much more of an impact than his last few locations. Something about this place seemed rather strange to begin with. Like there was a looming cloud over this region that could decide the future of his ambitions.
Something interested him with this thought process, so his golden eyes would narrow, as he looked upon the young woman. "May I ask a simple question? Are you currently enrolled in school here? I would not be surprised if you weren't, but I'm merely curious. School systems usually have a certain agenda to them." Though the man didn't last too long in the school system, he had some sort of education about the overall system. Perhaps it came from his literature, or maybe he was just speculating everything up to this point. However, for those to easily fall in line in society, the mentality was built somewhere. Most of the time, this came from the school system. This made him curious if either of these two were subjugated to such a facility. There would be no reason, without any parents or guardians here to make attend. But who knew? After all, this was his first time meeting them. He couldn't assume to much about the two before him, but he could already see their use when it came to toppling Azores in the near future. But he'd need more than just these two. For this to occur, he'd need to start freeing the mentality of multiple groups of people. Those who worked 9-5 every day, and even that of the youth going to school here. When the people learned how society kept them restrained, that's when it truly began to crumble at the seems.
The mere thought made him give a soft smile...

| There was silence following the words as the stranger before them, stroked his chin in thought. Hyacintha was watching the other, but once she discovered she was staring, she quickly looked away and busied herself with finishing off the tea, thinking of how rude it was to stare for no reason.
Hmm…Rude. In the dream world that word was connected to a rule to keep people and things acting a certain and uniformed way. While it was necessary for her obey the rules that applied to this word out there amongst the drifters, she wondered if the rule needed to be applied here. After all, were they not supposed to be open and honest with one another? Heh. How curious….
Hyacintha continued to ponder her thoughts on rules letting the man think for the time being as Snow shifted in his corner. Hyacintha’s eyes drifted to where the reflection of his glasses had been seconds ago; however this time, the glint was gone, signaling that Snow had taken off the glasses and stored them somewhere. Maybe under the pillow or in a pocket? Hyacintha was unsure, but at the same time she was mildly amused at this. Typically, her companion remained wound up around strangers, so the fact that he had done this simple little act meant that the young man either trusted the older male before them or at least was giving the other a chance to prove himself by letting the usual high guard down. Had Snow taken a fancy to this man like she had or was he simply tired of wearing his glasses? Hmph. Curious, but this was a thought that Hyacintha didn’t linger on long as her eyes drifted back to the gold ones of Gael as he spoke.
To his words Hyacintha looked down at the table.
“It has been a while since I have been to school, but I think it best to at least attempt it once more,” she said as a bit of nervousness filled her at the thought of going to school. She wasn’t sure why, but every time she thought about it, dread and some form of memory would try to surface, but being buried under the layers of fog the memory never revealed its true face. It always left her with a bad taste in her mouth and the jitters, but then…maybe it was this hidden fear that made her so determined to try school again that or maybe she simply wanted those that existed in it to get so used to that when she decided to tear it down, they’d never see it coming…..
She gripped her hands slightly tighter in her lap as she looked back up at the other.
“Snow and I will be looking into the school nearest here and see what we can do to enroll and…get involved once more in the dream,” she said, she said with a smile that was a mix of nerves and excitement for the unknown. After the words were spoken a silence would fall between them for a moment before it was broken by Snow’s voice.
“If I may, why do you ask, Gael?” Snow’s voice drifted from the darkness, the tone soft, suggesting he was either really relaxed or on the edge of lightly dozing. Again, the action surprised Hyacintha, who had never seen Snow relax around someone so easily. Maybe he was more charmed by this gent than she first assumed. Interesting.

Hyacintha’s Mood: A bit nervous about what school may suggest, but otherwise still her usual self. Snow’s Mood: Unreadable. While his actions and words suggest one thing it is no telling what the young man is thinking at this moment.

| Gael could tell his question was not one of a positive reaction. His eyes soaked in the knowledge of their reaction, and slowly gave a nod once he understood. However, it took him from surprise to hear they were actually looking into school around here. That could be used to his benefit. However, he wouldn't push this idea on them so abruptly. After all, they had just met. Telling them his plans could be over stepping some boundaries here. So in response to the question fired his way, he'd give a soft smile and close his eyes. "I'm just curious in the education system of Azores." Gael would grasp his book and stand from his seat. "I'm sorry to say this so abruptly, but I have a full agenda for today. I'd like to speak with you two again, so if you do not mind, I'll stop by once I finish gathering some more information about this region." He gave a polite bow to the young woman, and then he'd turn to do the same to the young man. "The tea was to perfection, and your hospitality is second to none. If you do enroll in a school, I'm sure we'll have alot more to discuss next time." Gael was not in a hurry to leave the household, but he would make his way towards the exit. He wasn't sure what to think of these two as of yet, but they were rather interesting in some regard. Their past had its fair share of mystery, and he'd be lying if he said he wasn't interested in it. But his mission came first, and as such, he had a few more stops to make before making any moves that could bring attention to himself.
So if he was not stopped by either of these two, he'd be on his way...

| “I see,” was the soft reply back from the darkness as Snow absorbed the answer from the white haired man. After the words were spoken, a silence filled the shadows that Snow occupied once more. As Snow became quiet again, Hyacintha tilted her head curious as to why Gael would be interested in the school system. She was on the edge of asking him to explain, but was stopped as the older man began to shift in his spot and get up with book in hand. Instinctively, Hyacintha hopped off her chair as her guest got up and announced he had to leave. “Aww, but I was having so much fun,” Hyacintha began giving a pout as hint of her more spoiled brat side came out for just a few seconds, but just as quickly as the pout had appeared and disappointment had filled her, Hyacintha pushed it away as a smile came back to her face at what she heard.
“Of course! Another meeting will definitely be something to look forward to!” she said excitedly before calming a bit as the other gave her a bow before speaking once more. To his actions and words, she giggled as she shifted from side to side as she looked up at the other in a playful yet bashful manner as a light tint of red came to her cheeks as she beamed brightly at the praise.
“Why thank you. We do our absolute best even when the situations are not the best,” she said to the other happily accepting the words with unhidden pride. When Gael mentioned school, Hyacintha ceased shifting as she nodded to him with more seriousness in her than before. “Mmm. You bet we will,” she said with a light smile on her lips. She still wasn’t sure how she felt about school, but she indeed would still place her best foot forward and try to go back and get ingrained in the world again. Maybe by doing this she’d figure out what was causing her discomfort about the school in the first place. However, that worry was for another time wasn’t it?
In any case, once the words were spoken, Snow would place his glasses back on and get up to escort their guest out of the house. At the door, Snow opened it to let Gael out before looking over at the man and giving him a small bow of respect. “Until next time,” the young man said quietly to the other as a hidden smile played upon his lip.
_________________________________________________ Hyacintha’s Mood: Disappointed because Gael has to go, but pleased with the meeting nonetheless.
Snow’s mood: Seems to like Gael a little, but not to the point where trust has been built. There is only a small portion of respect there.
