Ray hadn’t originally thought he would be coming back to this place any time soon. However, lately strange things had been happening, and he couldn’t say he liked being left in the dark. Let’s not forget Hachiro either. He still didn’t know what to think of the man, even after the older guy pretty much rattled to him about knowing things. Out of which, there were a few details he did not understand. Sure, he could have just went ahead to meet with the man again, but that wasn’t his style really. Besides, if it was all truth in the first place, they were bound to keep meeting. Either way, he still wanted to do something else first...but...

....The only thing was that he did not really want to come over just to say he wanted to ask a few things. What options did he have though? Not many. ‘Isn’t this ironic...?‘ Perhaps it was. Still, the guy would probably be happy about that, no denying.

Picking someone was not the easiest part, but he figured that as long as he didn’t go for someone outwardly too friendly, or social, it could work. It was probably the best bet anyway.

Either way, the rest wasn’t that big of a problem. Knocking someone out before they noticed it wasn’t hard with his speed, and even if, a normal person can’t really do much about anything supernatural.

Back to the present though. ‘‘Hey, anyone there...?‘‘, he would call out, as he made his way through the place, somewhat dragging the pinkhaired girl behind him. He wouldn’t have hit her too hard or anything though, so she was most likely going to wake up soon. He would deal with that later though. The point of this was elsewhere anyway.

It was dark, I mean I am not standing on a dark place or anything.It is just dark, I can't feel anything.Haha... Is this a dream? I don't remember sleeping.Why am I dreaming? I should wake up now, I need to turn off the stove of my cooking before it burns.Time to wake up Sheva...

I opened my eyes and I seem to be outside my house.This is Penecia but this is not the Penecia I know.
Everything is ruined here.I saw a mysterious man dragging me all the way through so I shouted to have his attention."Hey! hey! You there!""Let me go!" I impatiently waited for his response so I started to struggle."Hey! I said let me go!"

When Raynar showed up through the portal, some people took an eye to him, some said hello, and others just looked at him with interest. He had not returned in some time, so this could’ve been something special, and he happened to bring a female captive which warranted even more of a stare. Though a smoking man leaning against a building would finally break the silence. “Oh wow man, it’s been a while. Nice to see you came back,” Mercer Shinen said as he took another drag of his cigarette before putting it to the side while scratching the bandages over the part of his face. “I was just about to get ready to leave for another fight. Something on your mind?” he inquired, though his lips curled into an intrigued smile when he saw what he was carrying, a young girl, who was now afraid and freaking out. Mercer walked over to the girl, holding a hand up for the soldiers near him to hold off for a moment. “Calm down little lady. This guy here brought you for a reason. He doesn’t seem too social, but he thinks you can handle an amazing new power that can change your life, and maybe ours. What’s your name?” he asked. He sounded almost caring, like an old father talking to a child he hadn’t seen in years. Though he lost his smile for a brief moment, it came back looking at the girl. “You can probably drop her. I doubt she will run at the moment. See, you’re not in the world you live in right now. This is another world entirely. It’s a lot of shit to take in I know, but calm down and I can help you get a neat little gift along with some information,” he said, grabbing another cigarette from his box and offering it to her along with a lighter. Damn, it was his last one. Maybe there were one or two boxes hidden around in some old stores. Maybe he would get lucky.

The stares he got from the resident people were somewhat expected, so he didn't really waste his thoughts on it too much. Besides, he didn't know them well yet either way. The one other time je had been here, he didn't get to talk with many people after all. ''Living on the other side can get busy. I've been dealing with things.'', he would respond, when he noted the redheaded man saying that it's been a while. And it wasn't neccessarily a complete lie. Yes, he did not go looking into the other weird worlds yet, but he was sort of busy when it came to the whole deal with Hachiro. In which case he still hadn't even reached a conclusion. ''I will. In a bit.'', he would say towards the pinkhaired girl that had obviously woken up and was flailing about.

Mercer surprised him a little, as he hadn't expected the man to come up with that so quickly. He would take it though, as it saved him plenty of trouble anyway. ''Yes, you won't get hurt here, so calm down.'', he would declare, not really wanting to get kicked by a freaking out female if he could help it. When the man said to drop her already, he would think for a bit, but eventually do so, as it wasn't going to be his fault if she actually did choose to run. He would stay standing there, crossing his armd over his chest as he listened to the man talk...and offer cigarettes. Was that really the best kind of gift to give to a confused person?

I was here for a reason? What is it? Well if I want to find put maybe I should listen to them.I hope i am not going to do anything bad.The man then asked for my name."Why would I give my name to a stranger? Maybe you should give yours first" I refused to give put my name because I don't trust them.I am in an another world, What if they stalk me the rest of my life when I have put my name? It is better not to give introductions yet.The man said that I am in an another world, I know that already.It is kinda obvious.He then offered me some cigarette."No thank you, I don't smoke" I refused because I don't smoke that is unhealthy you know?

When the young woman mouthed off to him, Mercer laughed, putting his cigarette away. “I like that. You’re not quick to trust. Good idea. So here, name’s Mercer Shinen. I watch over these guys, fighting a war against those who just want to come in and rush law into the world. They want to restrict us with tyranny and rules. I for one am not for that, so I am using the powers of my God to fight others who have the powers of their God. They want law and order, they work for Philemon, and I am working for freedom and enjoyable chaos. Nyarlathotep is my God. Let me ask you this, if you had to pick between Law and Chaos, which one would you go with?” he asked. There was still around a half hour before the battle had to begin, Mercer at this point was just taking a moment. They truly were in no rush, as they expected to be done with one of the groups by the end of the day, or even afternoon if it helped. Right now, he was interested in the type of person Raynar seemed to capture. Even if it was just a random grab, maybe it would work.

What a surprise. The girl was rather resistant for being somewhere she couldn't defend herself. Yes, she most likely wasn't going to get harmed, but it was still bold of her to talk back like that when not knowing what she was facing against. On the other hand, it was probably a good thing she wasn't too mellow. This was about fighting afterall. Though, with Mercer's explanation, Ray wasn't left with much to say until she answered his question at least. ''My name's Raynar Camelot, if you want that as well.'', he would shrug somewhat, giving his own name, since she didn't ask whose specifically anyway. If that makes her feel better, then so be it.

"Well then since you gave yours.I think now it's my turn" then I cleared my throat "My name is Sheva Lionhart" I gave out my name.The man then start to speak things specifically Philemon and Nyarlathotep.I've read about these gods on a book.Philemon is the good guy and Nyarlathotep is the bad guy etc etc.The man asked me that if I get to choose between Law and Chaos,which one would I go with? That is really... a hard choice... my perspective have changed... Which one? Law or...

Even Mercer looked a bit surprised to see the sudden shift in personalities of the girl Sheva. He looked to Raynar with a curious look on his face as he rubbed the scruff on his chin with two fingers. “This a keeper I am guessing? How did you catch someone like this?” he asked Raynar. In any event, he stood up and signaled the other soldiers behind him to go on ahead, to which they followed orders and began to walk forward. “I will be joining them shortly. In the meantime, just a few things to go over before we begin. It isn’t a long process, and it isn’t that painful, but just keep in mind that once you get it, you lose it if I die. That way I am somewhat of a priority now if you agree,” he laughed a bit. “Sound good?” If she didn’t accept the terms, then he would look to Raynar and let him do what he will with the girl. If she agreed, then his revealed eye would turn golden, and he would summon a purplish black ball in his hand that would swirl in his hands, floating in midair, before he crushed it in his fist, letting off a high-pitched irritating shriek, that didn’t seem to bother anyone around Raynar and Sheva, and didn’t seem as bad to Raynar the second time around. Once the ball was crushed, the tar-like liquid that came from it fell through his fingers and landed on the ground in front of Sheva, which would shift closer to her, before transforming into a girl, with chained spikes twirling and hanging from her back. Some onlookers who weren’t already looking looked then, and then at Sheva oddly. Not often a human-like Persona appears with such a macabre twist.

“I am Alessa, and together, we will take back the love we both need and deserve,” she said before vanishing and bathing Sheva in a crimson light. Sheva could now feel the presence of her Persona in her head, and also see the various rifts around the city, that each held a different point of the original Penecia Island in view. “Alright, there you go. That was a Persona, formed of a Shadow. Look out for Shadows, they are basically monsters. You probably will find them around other places like this, or maybe your own world. I heard you guys have more than one world to deal with, which is already insane enough. But Raynar, as for you. I found something while scrounging through the ruins, and I don’t need it at the moment. Consider it your reward like I promised I would give for adding someone else to our cause,” he said. He would walk to him, and place some Vc in his hand. A little spending money he can save. “Don’t spend it all in one place,” he said, snickering. He turned back to Sheva Lionhart. “Well, any questions? I imagine you have one or two, even though you just pulled a 180 there,” he asked.

That was shocking. Quite a bit. Sure, she hadn't seemed like a meek girl before, but Ray didn't expect such a shift from Sheva in any case. It was a little bit too sudden for his taste. But, at least she chose the right thing for the case, so it was good..? ''It happens.'', he would say simply when Mercer inquired about how he got her. Not even he could have known about this. It wasn't like he observed everyone who went to school 24/7. Assuming she agreed, he would watch what happend, although remembering about the whole shrieking noise a bit too late to cover his ears. It didn't seem as bad this time around, thankfully. If anything, he would like to keep his ears in one piece at the end of the day. He would shake his head a little to get rid of the slight ringing in his ears after that and turn his gaze to see what came out of it. Surprisingly enough, this girl's Persona turned out to be quite humanoid. Though, maybe he shouldn't be surprised, as his own was somewhat human too, aside form the bird part.

Listening to the explanations he's heard once before, Ray would stay quiet, until the man walked up to him, handing him some currency. ''You needn't worry about that.'', he would state swiftly, when Mercer joked about spending it all quickly. He didn't really have the intention to do that. At least for now. With the man's request for questions from Sheva, he would look at the pinkhaired female once again, waiting to see what would she ask. Mercer was the one doing the answering, pretty much, but he would listen while he was here already. Maybe he'd learn something he hadn't heard before. There was always something new to be said.

Mercer said that he will give me something but if he will be my priority.You mean like a slave?.Whatever gift is that, I must accept for random reasons."Yeah,sounds good" I agreed then Mercer started to summon a purple ball and whirling it on his hands then crushed it,letting off a high pitched shriek.I watched as the purple ball turned into tar as it crashes to the ground in front of me then slowly the tar transformed into a female humanoid with chained spikes on her back.“I am Alessa, and together, we will take back the love we both need and deserve,” the Persona named "Alessa" introduced herself."What's a Persona? Why did you gave this to me?" I asked Mercer

Sheva seemed to take it all well, maybe she had calmed down a bit. “I helped you cause I want to know I can trust this kid right here,” he said gesturing to Raynar. “But even if you guys don’t help, maybe something will come of your world, who knows. I bet whatever was in your world was in no small part causing this; our Penecia wasn’t always this crazy. As for Personas, they are basically power you control from your own mind. That Shadow I summoned that turned into yours, they apparently wanted to join you. It is a facet of your mind you can control to fight with,” he explained, his golden eye returning to its original hue.

Ray would keep standing there with his arms crossed over his chest, listening to the back and forth. Though, he had no idea what Mercer meant by wanting to know whether he could trust him. Yes, trust doesn't come easily, and he wouldn't complain over that, as he often didn't trust people right away either. But, how would Sheva prove anything in that case? It confused him a little, but he would choose to say nothing on that subject for now. ''Well, if there's something in our world causing problems like these, I personally haven't noticed it yet.'', he would state, in lieu of Mercer saying that their world may have something to do with it too. He hadn't seen anything out of ordinary yet, as far as he was concerned.

Personas are used to fight?.I like the sound of that.So technically, he gave me a power to fight.Did he just said that he is going to a fight?."Wait... you said that you are about to get ready and leave for a fight.I am curious, what kind of fight are you gonna attend to?" I asked Mercer out of the curiosity.

He chuckled a bit. “I am off to fight a small group of Persona-Users under Philemon who somehow made it a little too close to my base for comfort. That is how it is going right now, sometimes we get further, sometimes they do but it is always coming back to normal, with no side having a clear advantages. Maybe having you and Raynar around will increase morale. It seems people are happy to see the guy helping out by bringing you into the fold. You shouldn’t worry about me right now, I don’t die so easy. But after you practice a bit, feel free to come back and talk to some around here. We can get some practice in with you, or you can always help us. Or worry about your own skin. I know hell’s breaking loose apparently,” he said, eyeing Ray specifically, acknowledging that he noticed the portals transform unnaturally into what they are now. Like any other person, if Sheva walked through, she would be fine, with an albeit splitting feeling in her head like she was in both worlds at once. It was unnatural and disorienting. Even for someone new one could tell that these rifts probably weren’t normal. If Sheva had no more questions, then Mercer would nod to the two and walk off to join his soldiers to the next routine battle.
