Floor 1 - Loathed Kizuna Academy

After college? She was educated too? That’s it. He had found his dream girl. Daiki had never even thought about going to college. Then again, he didn’t need to for what he wanted to do. Though, he could feel his heart break when she mentioned that her parents wanted her to look for other men. Were they trying to force her into marriage? That was a big n-o in Daiki’s book. One should be allowed to swim the waters of relationships and find the person meant for them. Poor Tomoe. He would look at Kahn for the briefest of moments, “Shadows are bad, right?” He hadn’t seen Noctis in a year and he had only ever fought once, so his memory was a little hazy on this sort of thing.

    Kahn's warning shouldn't have come as a surprise, but Destiny's eyes widened anyways. The few times she'd encountered shadows hadn't been the most pleasant: the doppelganger one that wanted her dead, and then the three creepy disjointed hands with faces that Kahn had dragged her to help get rid of. The memories had shivers running down her spine. Why couldn't this be simple, with no fighting and violence involved? Was that too much to ask for?

    She didn't need to ask that question. She'd realized the answer last year, when she'd gotten her persona and went up against Smiling Mask. For whatever reason, there was no peaceful way to resolve all of this. She'd have to fight along with everyone else. At least she didn't have to go it alone. A slight smile twitched across her lips as soft humming started up in the back of her head, cuing her in to Thalia's presence. That's right. She had Thalia with her again, not to mention Naito and Kahn and everyone else in their little group. Things would be alright...right?

Was that really what they were up against? That was not pretty. It also apparently did not care for the dead, as it stepped on the remains of some poor soul. That was enough to give Daiki the idea that this thing was not something to take lightly. Daiki was more of a lover than a fighter, and he knew that. He still had Tezcatlipoca in case things went sour, but he was hoping that it didn’t come to that. He was never one to like situations where people got into fights. In fact, he didn’t really want to fight this one. He didn’t really know what to do either. Whatever it was, it looked human enough. Was it really even an enemy? Unsure of himself, he would hold his ground and try to cover himself. He didn’t know what this thing did and he was not willing to find out anytime soon. He had a feeling he would soon though.

As Kahn came across the metal skeleton and black sludge that looked like that of a shadow's, he would be very confused. Something was here, but that something is now dead. Really dead. However, the hair on the back of his neck didn't drop for a second he rose his greatsword up defensively readying himself for whatever was coming around that corner. He expected another shadow or something along those lines since they most likely consumed one another, they were like animals right? However, what came around the corner was something that he had never seen before. It was humanoid and it looked a lot like....

Hibiki?

What the fuck was going on? He knew Hibiki had sacrificed himself to protect Ueitawa from Limbo, and from what he could see this thing looked like his selfless friend. But it seemed lifeless and without purpose. The eyes were hollow without pupils, and the lack of golden color indicated that it wasn't a shadow or a human possessed by a shadow as he had seen with Scarlet. Was it another sub-type....that didn't seem likely, but what the heck was it. He glanced back to the others, "Keep your guard up, but don't attack just yet. It doesn't appear to have noticed us yet." Of course walking around it was not an option, and that would get it's attention. He would lift his soulbound weapon in a defensive and in a way that was as non-threateningly way as possible. The leader took a step toward the....thing, and would call out to it, "Hibiki is that you? What happened to you, and what are you doing here?" Kahn asked what looked like his friend. He just made himself the closest target, so if it was going to lash out at anyone he hoped it would be him.

    This looked like something you'd find in a horror film. It was so disgusting and unnerving. Destiny half expected the remains of...whatever that was to rise up from the floor and stagger forwards. While that didn't happen, the following events still made her jump and press a hand to her mouth to hold back the squeak threatening to break the tense silence. Who...who was this? What was this? A boy? A girl? A monster? A shadow?

    // Hibiki...? // Had...had she heard Kahn right? Sparing the redhead a glance before training her wide blue-green eyes on the figure, she immediately shifted to a defensive position, tensing her shoulders as she waited to see what the figure would do. Was this really Hibiki? The paranormal situations she found herself involved in normally generated some rather outlandish things, but could it really be possible to bring back the dead...?

The red haired young man watched the figure stare at them, before melding into the wall. What on earth was that? It looked like Hibiki, but that couldn't be right...now could it? Hibiki sacrificed himself to ensure that everyone would survive, how could he be here. Unless that wasn't him...if it wasn't then what on earth was it? The red haired young man looked toward Destiny, "That looked like Hibiki, right?" He would ask, mostly for confirmation that what he saw just did happen. After a brief moment he would shake his head, if the others asked he would be happy to answer, but for now they had an objective. Classroom seven shouldn't be too much further away, he would gesture for the rest to follow. His mind would keep drifting back to what he just saw, but after a while he would decide that it would have to be something to deal with later. He was sure that he would see it later, one hundred percent sure. Things like that don't tend to vanish quietly, but the question still remained was it friend or foe? Was it stronger than everything else here, or was it merely an observer? The only real observers he knew were Philemon, and his opposite.

He expected another source of resistance to be found around here, but thus far it had been quite almost...too quite to be honest. Something wasn't right, Yachiru was going to allow them to waltz through this place? Unopposed without his goon squad or a goon squad or guards trying to stop them. None of this was making any sense, but he was here to get answers and fix mistakes! By god he was going to do one of them! Hopefully though he would manage to get both, but then he realized something that he had not done before. "A question that I would like an answer to is what those of you who I have not fought alongside to give me a general idea of what you are skilled in. That close encounter is something that I want to face it fully prepared and not something where we are fighting it without understanding our own strengths." Hopefully the group wouldn't mind such a question, and realize that it was in their self-interest to help him plan for whatever they may encounter in this hostile zone. They could answer in whatever order they chose, so long as they answered his question clearly. Hopefully they wouldn't have to double up on roles too much, he would rather have a wide spread group than a tightly knit one in regards to skills.

That was strange, to say the least. The thing appeared in front of the group, and then vanished through the wall like they weren’t even there. He was expecting something like that to be a little harder for some reason. Not that he was complaining. When Tomoe asked who Hibiki was, he would nod, “I’d like to know that too. Is he also a friend of yours?” Based on the friends that Kahn and Destiny seemed to have, he wondered if they weren’t completely insane. Maybe some insanity was good though. It wasn’t like everyone in the world was as normal as could be. Parish the thought. He was a little nervous when Kahn asked his next question. Daiki didn’t want to seem like a weakling in front of everyone here, especially the ladies, but he really wasn’t the type to get in a fight. He would clear his throat before answering, “I can do a wide variety of things, but not fight.” He didn’t know how else to describe what his two Persona did. They were both a bit of a blob when it came down to it.

    As the figure stared them down, the blonde could feel shivers racing down her spine. From what she could remember, Hibiki never looked so...creepy. Quiet, perhaps, or passive, but not scary. He couldn't have changed so much...could he? A visible shudder coursed through the girl as she watched it practically melt into the wall, leaving no trace that it had ever been there. Was there going to be more of these...things in the tower?

    Destiny nodded slightly in response to Kahn's question. Goodness, the boy looked almost as rattled as she was. Her mouth opened slightly in order to reply to everyone's suddenly pressing need to know who Hibiki was, but closed it a moment later. They were probably asking Kahn, not her. Why should she answer if the question wasn't hers to answer? And Kahn's next question was directed to "everyone he hadn't fought with"; in other words, everyone but her. Besides, she wasn't sure if her voice would still work properly. Seeing that was...shocking, to say the least. So instead she trailed along quietly, keeping herself occupied by glancing around at her familiar--yet still unnerving--surroundings.
