Sun is a rather large Persona, standing at the height of 11 feet and 5 inches. He takes the appearance of that of a decaying monkey with a grizzly appearance, and cold atmosphere of death around him. Upon his face is usually a deranged grin or snarl, and spiraling around his body are lost souls of his fellow brethren he had slain. When performing his attacks the souls around him seemingly dance, as he makes brutal strikes with a monkey's paw style. Though he appears to be such a formidable adversary, he and Katsu! are similar in many ways. From bouncing around, to overly being flashy while in combat, both make sure they are the center of attention when attention calls for it.
Persona Background:
He is a monkey born from a stone who acquires supernatural powers through Taoist practices. After rebelling against heaven and being imprisoned under a mountain by the Buddha, he later accompanies the monk Xuanzang on a journey to retrieve Buddhist sutras from India. Through his journey, he was given the name the Monkey King.

Possessed Form Appearance:
Katsu!'s possessed form is quite large, towering over the average human by being at a minimum of fifteen feet tall. It floats a few feet off the ground and is often seen smiling and laughing for no reason. Being wrapped in an organic yellow and black skin, the designs upon its body seems to always be moving even if he is stationary.
Description: When Katsu! initiates his transformation, he raises his index fingers to his head while making his hand take a gun posture. Pulling the "trigger", his body begins to crack and twist in disproportionate ways before a black ooze begins to cover his entire being. The boy is then lifted into the air by a supernatural force before a dark miasma overcomes his body. Once the transformation is complete, Katsu! takes the appearance of a yellow and black otherworldly Jester, hinting back at his innocence. In this form he hops around and is overly playful, like the child he is; even having a wide toothy smile. Though beware, just like Katsu! his possessed self is spontaneous and even more dangerous. It doesn't care for the host it is possessing, or the others around the host, and will do whatever it deems necessary for victory.
This form takes the name of Magatsuhi no kami, who are Gods who bring forth all evil in the world. They live in the land of Yomi. Ou-Magatsuhi means "Great Magatsuhi" while Yaso-Magasuhi means "Countless Magatsuhi". After Izanagi left the land of Yomotsu Hirasaka, his body was covered in filth, which he cleansed through performing the misogi ritual. The filth that had been washed away became two gods: Ohomagatsuhi Hinokami (大禍津日神,"Great Calamity God"), and Yasomagatsu Hinokami (八十禍津日神, "Great Calamity God"), collectively known as the Magatsu Hinokami. | |
