Persona-Users

...................................................................................................................

The Character Types Tumblr_m9oeztQhnQ1r6mc3xo1_500

...................................................................................................................

Those who have unlocked their potential naturally are called "Persona-Users". Once overcoming their own Shadow and facing their hardships head on, a person achieves their Persona and becomes a Persona User. These Persona Users grow in power based on the connections and bonds they have with family and friends around them that take the form of Social Links. All Persona-Users start off with their Initial Persona, which represents the most inner thought of its host. As they grow, their Persona takes on stronger forms until reaching its max potential. This allows those of this Character Type to obtain a total of three Personas they can switch between with ease. It is the most versatile Character Class, and once hitting the max potential, the strongest. Persona-Users are watched over the by God, Philemon, and have access to the Velvet Room.

...................................................................................................................

Nyarlathotep Children

...................................................................................................................

The Character Types Tumblr_mf79wvxdtt1qftn52o1_500

...................................................................................................................

This class pertains to those who have gained the power of Persona from the God of Chaos, Nyarlathotep himself. Having their Persona bestowed upon them, they have not unlocked their potential naturally, and thus their Persona doesn't truly belong to their heart. Unlike natural Persona Users, this character type only receives one Persona called a "Tainted Persona". The Tainted Persona, though strong, never evolves into any other form of Persona unlike the the Personas of the "Persona-Users" Character Type. This means those of this Character Type hit their max strength much faster, but are by far weaker than a fully realized Persona User. None the less, those of this Character Type are inclined to use their power how they see fit. They are more likely to give into their inner most desires that may bring self harm or harm to others, thus making them a natural antagonist for regular Persona-Users. They are barred from entering the Velvet Room under normal circumstances, and do not receive aid from Philemon or his subjects. Infact, their main goal is to hinder their progress like Nyarlathotep has beckoned. Contrary to popular belief, stronger Shadows will still attack those of this class when given the opportunity. This character type is also able to form Social Links, but it is not required for them to grow in strength.

...................................................................................................................

Velvet Room Attendants

...................................................................................................................

The Character Types Tumblr_m9he4e0pWn1qd0gyko1_500

...................................................................................................................

This class pertains to those characters that reside in the Velvet Room, along with Igor, whom they assist. Unlike Persona-Users or Children, they are not human and are instead created by Igor or Philemon. They are immortal, in meaning they do not age, and they do not use Personas. Some, but not all, Attendants have the same features, including pale skin and amber eyes, while wearing a heavy amount of blue. However, there have been cases where they have taken more normal appearances. Being artificially created in the Velvet Room, they do not know much of the human world, or its customs. Their main purpose in creation was to assist the guests of the Velvet Room, but only enough for them to face their hardships without waver. They are allowed to leave the Velvet Room to gather information pertaining to the different worlds, but Igor wishes them not to get extremely close to the guests. When it comes to combat, the Velvet Room Attendants use a Persona Compendium as a spell book to cast skills. This is because they do not own their own Persona, and instead use the book as their main source of power. Unlike other classes, this is their Soul bound weapon and it is summoned to their hand for combat. When in PvS battles, they can attack twice per turn, and each spell book they use has an "Ultimate Skill" that allows them to perform a powerful Almighty Attack. Even in PvP battles they can perform two skills in one turn, making them heavily based on SP. This character class, though interesting and strong, will never compare to a fully realized Persona-user. They hit their limit alittle sooner, as they only have access to two Persona Compendiums as they grow in strength. Philemon nor Igor wishes to see their Attendants being too involved in humanity's affair when it comes to survival, so they may bar them from participating in various excursions to make sure this does not happen. It is possible for the Velvet Attendant to become a Persona-User once maxing Social Links. Attendants can also learn any tier skill, unlike other character classes that are limited to certain ones at certain ranks, but must achieve their new skill cards for their Compendium by forming a Social Link with someone who has the skill they are searching for.

Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon

...................................................................................................................

The Character Types Tumblr_m73kittyyJ1qmmxfyo1_500

...................................................................................................................

An Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon is a type of android that's constructed to wield a Persona and do battle with Shadows. The Androids may have a database on human customs, but in terms of attempting to understand the world they may have trouble without the guiding hand of friends. It is stated that the Anti-Shadow Weapons were crafted in the shape of a human so that they would develop a human ego and gain the ability to wield a Persona. The personality module, which generates the personality and ego of the Anti-Shadow Weapon, is called a Papillon Heart. Being machines, the characters in this class are inhuman, and can do such inhuman things to a limit. They will not die of old age, and they can be rebuilt when destroyed. Like Persona-Users, they have the ability to summon Personas. However, the average Android will hit their max limit at the Prime Persona, and will not unlock an Ultimate Form. To make up for this short coming, each of the Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapons have a overclocking ability known as "Orgia Mode." This mode lasts 3 turns and allows the Weapon to use skills without the use of HP or SP while also attacking twice per turn [PvS phase combat only for double attack. In PvP Phase combat, Orgia mode instead raises all stats by 15% and allows use of skills without use of HP or SP]. Orgia mode also allows the Android to perform superhuman feats, such as enhanced strength, flight, etc (these must be strengths listed on your application.) Once the mode is over, they over heat and must rest for 3 turns after, meaning they can not move or defend themselves in that period of time. Unlike Persona-Users or Children, their alignment doesn't fall under one of the two gods. This virtually makes them a Wild Card in the conflict between Persona-Users and Nyarlathotep Children. Depending on the Social Links they form, and the actions they perform, they may be welcomed into the Velvet Room or barred from it. There is a chance orgia mode can transform into something much stronger.

Shadow Selves

...................................................................................................................

The Character Types Tumblr_mfvnmlrrYm1qhszhwo1_500

...................................................................................................................

Shadows are born from humans, and carry with them human emotions, which are mostly negative. Strong-willed Shadows attract lesser Shadows, which later create stronger Shadows. A Shadow Self is a unique type of Shadow that appears in the Persona series. Unlike the lesser Shadows, they appear as twisted mirror images of the person they represent, often with red or golden eyes. Despite embodying the repressed negative qualities of their human counterparts, Shadow Selves wish to kill their originals and take their place in the world. Shadow Selves fight either with a "Reverse" version of their counterpart's initial or ultimate Persona, or they transform into a large twisted version of the Persona they will become once accepted. Those who choose this character class do not use a Persona (unless given one by the Crawling Chaos which would be used as a Reverse Persona). Instead, they use their own bodies in battle, and will transform into a powerful Shadow when doing battle. The good side to being able to transform and use your own body for battle is easy, as you do not need to rely on a Persona to defend yourself. However, a downside is the fact you're losing another asset on the battlefield. With a Persona, one could essentially team attack an opponent, but when you are the supernatural power yourself, you fight alone. Before a Shadow can use any skills, they MUST transform into their altered state, also known as a "True Self" transformation. Once they transform, all their skills and attacks become available. Once a Shadow maxes their rank, there is a possibility that Nyarlathotep will grant them even more power, allowing them to hold a "Reverse Persona" aswell as their own True Self transformation, making them a real threat. They rank up by 12, the same as the Nyarlathotep Children and are the enemies to all character types (excluding the Children if they see fit). Nyarlathotep is seen as their Father, and thus they are loyal to him and him only, meaning they may betray human comrades. They grow stronger by absorbing weaker Shadows in the Other World by defeating them in combat. These Shadows can escape into the real world, but their main home is the Other Side, whether it be Limbo or some place else. The Shadow Selves have a special ability called the "Shadow Frenzy" allowing them to cast skills at half the price, and link Tier skills like a chain. For Example: If a Shadow Self were to go into a Frenzy, they could cast a Tier 1 skill and immediately follow that Tier 1 skill with a Tier 2 skill in the same post. The only requirement is that the skills being chained must be the same type, such as Garu to Garula, or Magaru to Magarula. Also you can only link up to three skills total. This Shadow Frenzy only lasts for three (3) turns, and once it ends it can not be used again until the end of battle and all following skills will be weaker by 50% (unless a special item is used). There is a chance the Shadow Frenzy skill can grow into something much stronger.

...................................................................................................................

The Forgotten

...................................................................................................................

The Character Types Tumblr_ns42bt21PG1u3roryo1_500

...................................................................................................................

This class consists of various test subjects used in experiments by the Yachiru Group. The experiments consisted of bonding Humans to Shadows in a parasitic relationship. The humans are bound to these Shadows and use them as weapons to give them abnormal abilities. Those of this class do not have a Persona or another form. They are simply human and gain their strength from their Soul Bound weapon that is simply a Shadow transmogrified into a weapon. With this weapon, they can act as one who has unlocked their potential. However without the weapon, they are only human. Unlike regular soul bound weapons, these cannot be summoned and remain active. However, these weapons allow the user to cast skills and actions without the need of summoning a Persona, similar to using human skills. When the Forgotten's health gets lower than 30% they automatically go into a powerful state called [Last Life]. This happens once per battle and powers all their moves up by 30%. Even their skills rank up a tier in damage. This mode lasts as long as their health is below 30%. Those of this class vary from being Good to Evil. They live in the shadows of society, as they have been test subjects for a good majority of their lives and are still being hunted down by the Yachiru group. They grow stronger by feeding their own Shadow Weapon with other Shadows and victims they come across. Basically draining their essence into the weapon to empower it. Unlike other classes, once these few hit their max they no longer grow. There is no second stage for them, making their final potential significantly less than all other classes.

...................................................................................................................

The Rogues

...................................................................................................................

The Character Types Tumblr_nl2x7xC0zZ1s44uweo1_500

...................................................................................................................

The Rogues are a class that consists of people that are normal humans that have the potential but are unable to wield it properly without artificial help. They can control it when consuming a particular type of medication that was distributed by unknown means, is unable to be replicated, and only just recently was seemingly circulating around areas in the hands of various drug dealers, and other sources. This pill is vital for the Rogues in order to use their Persona, as without them, their Persona will attempt to kill its User due to its unnatural relationship with them. The pills while able to keep them in line, must be consumed regularly to maintain it, and the pills themselves also come with side effects which can range from anything from chronic headaches, to it draining calcium from your bones, making you weaker, to almost anything you can think of. Though the side effects tend to be relatively serious, they at least will keep them alive. This makes the Rogues very dependent on knowing the underworld or any source that has pills, and are forced to keep a consistent source available whenever they run out, or risk dying at the hands of their own Persona. Rogues only get one Artificial Persona that ranks up by 12 points and are not able to go beyond their prowess once maxed out. However in order to make up for that drawback, Rogues get an ability called “Persona Overdose”. In this mode, for three turns, the Rogues get access to a completely new skillset, swapping it for their previous one for that time limit. The new skills are unlocked as the Rogue gains skills normally and are selected when ranking up normally. They can be anything, so long as the skill has the same tier as the tier of the skill in their normal skillset. For example, your first skill is Tier 1 in your normal skillset. That means your first skill in your “Persona Overdose” skillset can be any skill as long as it is Tier 1. Your available skills in “Persona Overdose” also are unlocked at the same time you unlock your normal skills. So if a Rogue only has five skills unlocked in their regular skillset, they can only have access to the first five skills in their Overdose mode. This allows Rogues to have unpredictable play-styles against the enemy and have an edge for this short period of time. Once the three turns are up, their skillset reverts to normal, and for the three turns in battle, your active Persona skills will be randomized each post, as well as the target for said skill, meaning you will not have any control over what your Persona does for that period of time. There is also a chance this mode can achieve a stronger form. People of this class tend to exist at any point in the spectrum of Good and Evil, Lawful or Chaotic, and are not watched over by Philemon or Nyarlathotep in particular, and are normally barred from things like the Velvet Room. However, their actions and social links that they form can change their alignment and gain the interest and support of one of the Gods.

...................................................................................................................

The Wild Card

...................................................................................................................

The Character Types Tumblr_static_yes

...................................................................................................................

This class is the rarest, and the most versatile class on the boards. For each plot, there are only two max that are allowed of this class unless said otherwise. Wild Cards are those who sign a contract and are bound by fate. They must accept full responsibility of their actions and search for the meaning of life within their journey. They are given great power to wield many Personas, but at the end of their journey, and their acceptance of the Contract, they inevitably lose their life while finding the meaning to live. Unlike other classes that have a set persona, these users start with an initial persona, but rank up social links to gain more Personas. Depending on the rank of the social link will determine how strong the Persona will be that is aligned with that specific Arcana, and if you can summon it.

For NWC, all is the same except the process of gaining their other Personas. While the PWC will still need social links, the NWC will gain their new Personas by battling Shadows. Each Shadow you battle will have an Arcana, and once defeated there will be a 50% chance it will leave an Arcane fragment behind for you. When you obtain this fragment it will gain you a level towards that Arcana's specific Persona. You could say gaining an Arcane Fragment is equal to a gaining a social link as a PWC towards a new Persona. Boss Shadows have a 100% drop rate for these Arcane Fragments. Plot Specific Bosses and Events will give you an Arcane Fragment that unlocks the Judgement Persona for use. Each Shadow you come across will have a randomized Arcana unless certain circumstances apply. Needless to say, if you defeat a Persona - User, you will still gain a fragment depending on what their main Arcana is.

As said before, there are only two of these allowed for each plot. One being on the side of Philemon, signified by the Blue Butterfly, and the other on the side of Nyarlathotep, signified by a Black Butterfly. As your initial persona gets stronger, it allows you to carry more Personas that you may summon within a dungeon. Before entering a dungeon, you must determine what Arcanas you will be using, which ultimately means which Personas you'll be bringing along with you. (You must refer to the Persona Compendium in the Velvet Room to see each Persona and its alignment). Just starting out, you are only allowed to bring three other Personas with you, excluding your own initial, into a dungeon. However, this number grows with each time you rank up, and when you reach your max level, there will be no limit on what you may summon.

Using these Personas are just like switching Personas if you were a regular user. At the beginning of your attack post, you can switch Personas and use that Personas attributes that same post. If you were attacked a previous post, you must take that damage first before switching. So if your previous persona was weak to fire, you'd be down if you're hit by fire before being able to switch. Those of this class gain 12 points in all stat categories as they rank up, seeing how their initial does not change once being maxed on a regular basis. However, if they max the majority of their social links, there is a chance their Initial Persona will evolve into an Ultimate Persona. Other than this they get no other pluses, other than being able to summon multiple Personas onto the field. Once their journey ends, they will pass on. No negotiation.
