Shunnosuke Kurosawa Haven't they told you? I'm the crazy b!tch around here!
The Biography
Birth Name: Shunnosuke Kurosawa Aliases: Queen Bee, Queen B!tch, Shun Gender: Male Age: 16 Birth Day: February 14th Arcana: Star. Evoker: His evoker is a brooch he wears attached to his blouses/coats or whatever he's wearing as a top in the moment. It's a very detailed and refined silver brooch, resembling a small (but not too tiny) pointy rapier. Place of Residence: Penecia Island. School Year: Second year. Class: 2-A
After School Club: Nope.
Part Time Job: Nope.
Appearance: Shun is the pretty-boy type. He's average height (around 175cm) and very skinny (weighing 55kg or so), portraying a somewhat uncommon appearance when you compare him to most guys around his age: long limbs and neck, slender torso and narrow shoulders, but no features reach the abhorrent limit and, actually, he's far from being described as such. It's almost as if puberty hasn't hit him yet (or at least not too hard), despite his height, which is proven right by the fact he displays no facial hair so far and some childish physical features (small face, pointy chin, well-marked cheekbones) remain, therefore he may often appear to be slightly younger than he looks. His hair is medium length, a bit over shoulder length and growing, going curlier towards the extremity of it. His predilection for anything fashion-related makes him dye it very often — currently, it's mainly dark brown with some blond highlights, providing a strong contrast in colors he very much appreciates. Also he wears bangs, the side swept type. As sun is among things he strongly dislikes and Shun is not exactly a sport guy, it's not a surprise that his skin color is paler than the usual and to some he might even look too frail, nearly unhealthy.
Being a self-proclaimed fashionista, his clothes can be described as daring and colorful, yet elegant and tasteful — mainly during winter season, his favorite one. He faces winter as a special opportunity to embrace his motto ("every day is a day for fashion") and flaunt his ostensive wardrobe. He's most likely seen wearing loafer/slipper shoes, skinny pants and blazers, with some inspirations from Audrey Hepburn and korean/japanese celebrities to whom he fosters some degree of obsession and appoints as his "fashion icons" and "role models". He goes as far as wearing commonly typical female clothes in a subversive manner, stating fashion has no gender whatsoever. Being an overachiever, he enjoys making an effort to catch eyes, and his classic, designer clothes doesn't allow any other interpretation, as well as a constant desire of being a "Queen Bee" of his school's social scene.
Personality: Shun is often shallow, frivolous, snobbish, intelligent and also uptight. He enjoys leading a privileged and prominent lifestyle, but his ambitious demeanor can lead him to embrace a haughty and scheming side. Generally speaking, he's ruled by his insecurities, despite a confident exterior and is used to get what he desires by any means necessary. While he's regarded as being extremely knowledgeable, Shun seldom leaves success to chance, or to his own talents, and usually works to sabotage his competition — he is often distressed at the slightest possibility of losing. Typically, Shun finds rivals in most females — and also admires a bunch of strong, classy females as icons —, and as a result of this insecurity, he does not trust easily and, when he does, is always tremendously hurt when/if he feels betrayed. However, although he has a naughty, manipulative and often ruthless behavior, he also keeps deep within a sensitive and loving nature as well.
Shun is obviously gay — and a very dramatic one. If his rather effeminate appearance doesn't give it away, his behavior finishes the job. His high-pitched voice is often filled with an arrogant tone and camp mannerisms. His relationship with his parents (mainly his mother, whom he has a protocol-like, nearly non-existent relationship with) is filled with rejection; yet, in social events, they pretty much like to boast his son and put on a perfect family facade, commonly praising him to their peers. His sort of flamboyant nature comes as a way of luring attention for himself and being admired and noticed for who he is. Although he also feels deep within this is the wrong method, as a social alpinist of sorts, he doesn't intend to letting go of everyone else's admiration anytime soon, mainly because that's what's to be expected from someone of his lineage. Shun is conceited and looks like he sustains a high opinion of himself — struggling with his urge to constantly be on top — when, in fact, he's very insecure in regards to matters surrounding family, ambition, appearance and, less often, romance.
The Potential
Strengths: (Anything your character is skilled in, such as Martial Arts/ Drawing/ etc? You are allowed a maximum of five strengths and a minimum of three.)
—Strength Name: A Persuasion that can build a Nation —Description: Shun can be very charming, convincing but also intimidating if the situation demands so. He doesn't have a striking height or a bulky physical to terrify anyone, but you don't need to develop a manly menace-looking body for such purposes if you have an authority behavior, a superiority complex, wealth and name influence, right? Just like he says: "you can't always make people love you, but you can always make them fear you".
—Strength Name: Natural Leader Strategist —Description: As already stated, Shun's mind is very analytical and, due to this, is likely to elaborate well-planned schemes to sustain his social grasp and destroy whoever menaces his position in some way or another. He has a very firm sense of leadership.
—Strength Name: Fashion Genius —Description: Some are great with computers, while others are proficient with Math, Physics and Chemistry and there are those who excel in sports. Shun, however, is very knowledgeable about...fashion. He's the one to look for if you need a dressmaking and needlework expert. He's the one to look for if you need make-up and skin care hints. As someone who likes to flaunt his wardrobe, Shun's very proud to lecture anyone who's interested (and even some who aren't) about his fashion history knowledge and, as he says, "people are not aware how important moisturizing is".
—Strength Name: Beethoven Jr —Description: Having taken piano classes for all of his life, much to her mother's pleasure, Shun's a proficient piano player. At first, he wasn't very fond of it, but as time went by, it became some sort of particular hobby. Why he doesn't enter an Arts Club then, you ask? Because he's too important and busy for such trivial occupations.
—Strength Name: —Description:
Weaknesses: (You must have the same amount of weaknesses as strengths. These weaknesses pertain to you and not your Persona. IE: Physically Weaker, lack of attention span, etc.)
—Weakness Name: Physically Weaker —Description: Shun doesn't practice sports or any labor activity. Having lived an wealthy life where such things were not encouraged at all, his physical abilities are usually weaker than a normal, active teen of the same age. Not that this bothers him... Add this to his inexperience in combat and he's probably doomed if he ever get in the middle of a fight.
—Weakness Name: Social Alpinism obsession —Description: While he uses his surname as a door opener, Shun is obsessed with his own place in this world. His desire for acceptance is as strong as ever and he's extremely competitive, but he goes for the wrong means of doing so. For example, if he aims to be considered the most intelligent student from his class, he'll probably pick one classmate whom he recognizes some potential and intelligence to rival his own, and manipulates events to sabotage his exams — or even worse, he'll try his best to discover his secrets and use it against him when the opportunity is right, often receiving a little help from his "personal accomplices". He doesn't know when "enough is enough".
—Weakness Name: Defrosting Ice Prince —Description: While usually Shun is sarcastic and has no qualms to outwardly insult people (in a subtle fashion) who doesn't pair up with his standards, his emotional side can be very...intense. In the rare occasions where he truly cares about someone, he is capable of going out of his way and use all his influence and manipulative talents to help him or her. That also means he will get extremely depressed and enraged if he feels betrayed — and since he's quick to jump to conclusions and judgments, that's likely to happen.
—Weakness Name: Moral Myopia —Description: By definition, "the implicit or explicit code of conduct within a social group whereby the standards of morality stop applying past their backyard fences". Shun is justified in taking anything and delivering disproportionate retribution upon anyone who would take anything from him. Lack of empathy is most of the time on full display, and if you ever accuse Shun of being evil and demand that he justifies his actions — if he even feel any need to justify something to an outsider — don't expect any remorse about it, or even admissions of villainy, whether regretful or gleeful. He is likely to spit at you that he doesn't subscribe to your idea of "evil".
—Weakness Name: —Description:
Soul Bound Weapon: (This is the weapon you'll be able to summon to your hand while in combat. This weapon is special for your character specifically and allows you to fight Shadows without the need of summoning your Persona. This can be anything but a Gun (Or gun related weapon))
Weapon Name: Twinkle Nebula Weapon Description: A long, nearly 2.5m metal chain, with a spherical extremity adorned with sharp spikes, similar to a chinese single meteor hammer. The spiky ball is attached to the chain length. Weapon Image: (Not necessary) Weapon Attack Type: Strike. Weapon Element: Nope.
The Background
History: There was nothing too unusual in Shun's birth if you take in consideration his high-class family background. Her mother, heir of a japanese wealthy family, a spoiled and seductive teenager by the time at a reputed upper class school, decided to seduce the new Math teacher, a charming older man of british heritage. As expected, it didn't end well and young Ms. Kurosawa soon found herself pregnant in the middle of her High School years. The scandal never went too far due to her family's influence but this was one of those occasions where everyone knew what happened, but no one ever spoke about it. Mr. Leighton was fired and Ms. Kurosawa dropped out school before she could graduate. Of course, that didn't bother her a single bit — she had money and beauty and as long as those remained, the world was hers to take.
...or so she thought. To prevent the rumors from developing further, Ms. Kurosawa was forced to marry Mr. Leighton, her former teacher, who began working at the family's enterprise instead due to unemployment and moved to the Kurosawa's house. It's not like he wanted to take part in an influent and oppressive wealthy family, it's just he didn't have too much options and to risk his reputation refusing to marry a pregnant teen would be a suicidal move. When the baby Shun was born, he faced right away his mother's rejection and a dysfunctional family. Unlike his mother, his father was a gentle and good-ill man, but he just wasn't ready to be a father and therefore couldn't be exceptionally caring. Ms. Kurosawa's pregnancy caught him off guard and she led him with all of the responsibility of raising a child alone while she enjoyed what was left of her youth. Shun's trouble relationship with his parents probably started right in the first years of his life, where he experienced true rejection from his mother and an alternating aloof/caring from his father, who tried to compensate his lack of bond with his son. Regardless, Shun was raised like it was supposed to be: living on appearances. Best toys, best schools, best everything, and his grandparents made it sure he'd be raised to have whatever he wanted whenever he wanted...at the cost of being whoever they wanted.
As soon as Shun faced his teens, his relationship with his parents grew even more distant than before. Part of the reason was due to his own development and sense of independence, striving to achieve his own goals and work for everything he'd earn from now on — ironically, he started by fomenting his surname's weight. His goal? "Winning the Nobel Peace Prize, having dinner with the president, who would then write him a recommendation to the best universities out there, and then all of them would fall all over themselves to accept him". While his ambitious plan remain in the idea level and seems nowhere near to completion, control and rule his school with the help of his similarly rich and popular handpicked "friends" would do...for now.

Shunnosuke Kurosawa Keep your friends close. Keep your enemies closer.
The Biography
Birth Name: Shunnosuke Kurosawa Aliases: Queen Bee, Queen B!tch, Shun Gender: Male Age: 19 Birth Day: February 14th Arcana: Star. Evoker: His evoker is a brooch he wears attached to his blouses/coats or whatever he's wearing as a top in the moment. It's a very detailed and refined silver brooch, resembling a small (but not too tiny) pointy rapier. Place of Residence: Penecia Island. School Year: First year of University. Class: (?)
After School Club: Nope.
Part Time Job: Kurosawa Inc's head manager.
Appearance: Not much has changed in Shunnosuke's overall appearance. Once taking vanity and his pride in his own looks to a high level, Shun has grown to let go of certain distinguished traits of his, such as the extensive care he dedicates to his hair. Of course he's still prideful, but eventually he learned to accept his natural hair color (Shunnosuke is actually a brunet) instead of dying it as often as before, as well as reducing drastically the length of it. The reasons for such decision are mostly to express in a visual manner the changes he had gone during his sophomore year, and while he decided to cut it shorter, the old same side-swept bangs remain. Other than that, he still remains the pretty-boy type, having grown a mere centimeter and keeping the same weight. Shunnosuke is still the non-sports guy and still the flashy fashionista he has always been.
Personality: Shunnosuke's most notable traits, such as his often predilection for glamour and climbing social ladders, remain. He's still on his way to achieve his goals once he has his mind set to it, and he's still frank and unreserved in stating his opinions and views on matters or at people at hand, being ruthless and sharp-tongued if he deems people deserving of it. On the other hand, to anyone who knew him from before, he's not as vengeful as he used to, and not as oblivious to his surroundings and anyone else's emotions. If the young Kurosawa once learned to grow a safe distance from people due to being able to detect when it's genuine and when it's motivated by ulterior reasons, now he just appears as a somewhat expressionless and gloomy shell of what he used to be. Though he was never exceptionally upbeat and cheerful, everyone can detect the mellow tone in his voice is more related to melancholy nowadays rather than aristocratic collectedness. If anything, he'd still avoid talking about sensitive matters, being quick to dismiss it and even more firm about not elaborating on them if pressed on that, stating that he just doesn't want to and ending the topic. Then again, despite being rather hollow, Shunnosuke is capable of some deeds the prior self would hardly do, such as abandoning cunning plans if it means disproportionally hurting people for self benefit, such as learning to selflessly forgive, see past first impressions and move on. One can say it was a nice consequence of popping the protective bubble his name and growing environment provided and getting in real touch with the latest events in Azores, as well as getting in touch with different realities other than his privileged own.

—Strength Name: Sense of Determination —Description: "I'm not a stop along the way, I'm a destination" is one thing Shunnosuke always to motivate himself to go further in his goals. It's the beneficial side of his ambitious demeanor: he is firm in his beliefs and is hard to be shaken, possessing a rather strong will that compels him to go forward.
That also means he will get extremely depressed and enraged if he feels betrayed — and since he's quick to jump to conclusions and judgments, that's likely to happen.
—Weakness Name: Cynophobia —Description: Unknown to most, Shunnosuke is actually afraid of dogs due to a childhood incident which costed him a scar in his knee not many know. He does not lose control next to dogs, however, but it's glaringly obvious that he feels uneasy around them for deeper reasons other than an obsession for cleanness and hygiene, often freezing and mute, barely speaking until the "threat" is gone.
Azores Chapter I Events
Getting involved with the mysterious and supernatural happenings in Azores had greatly molded Shunosuke's character in a direction he couldn't really expect. Though at first he showed little to no interest in partaking such activities with people he classified as non-interesting commoners, there was an inexplicable intuition that caused him to keep going further, as well as a strange sense of, for the first time, being part of something other than a script scratch of a fate others have written for him. Gradually, he developed appreciation for these people and for the place he never cared for, understanding the limitations of his real-life influence and working as he could to find a way to end the imminent danger in Azores, even if it meant recklessly getting involved in dangerous situations by himself (such as visiting the very headquarters of a prominent gang in a spooky neighborhood). Though he struggled with his non-curricular activities, he believes he ultimately did the better choice by not forfeiting his duties, as well as eventually facing his other Self and coming to terms with his dysfunctional family, mending the troubled relationship with his parents and grandparents, as well as putting an end to the destructive cycle of ties in the Kurosawas' lair. Though he managed to grew a cordial and respectable relationship between him and his mother, being it as far as it could go, Shunnosuke's final decision was to move out with his now divorced father, Mr Leighton Crawford, back to his hometown London, believing it's a one-time opportunity to repay him for the mistake of his existence, as well as firming a real bond with the former teacher. His last year in Azores was filled by emotionally draining events, ranging from an undesired heartbreak from a former first love to the irreparable loss of his first true friend, leaving scars he hardly could heal by his own should he stay in Azores. However, two years have passed, and though he has not kept in touch with any of his former "team mates" or even his boyfriend, he plans to return, for there are still ties to mend, duties to attend and questions left unanswered...
