Base & Transformed Appearance: Jamie looks almost doll-like due to his slight frame and small stature of 4'10"; the fact that his fingers are long and thin, his eyes are rather large, and he has fair skin only accentuate that description. He has dark hair that is usually styled in a slightly shaggy cut with long bangs and, depending on the light, can appear blue or black. He also wears an eye-patch in order to hide his one golden eye, leaving the brilliant blue eye visible. Because of the strong defiance Shadow Jamie faced when trying to get rid of his original self, he opted to keep one of his other self's eyes as a memento of overcoming the person he used to be; hence the two different colored eyes. Usually he wears any clothes he "finds", although he prefers to wear pants, trousers, of overalls with large pockets for all of his "treasures".

In his True Form, Jamie looks like a seven foot tall, goop-like shadow emerging from the floor, its body tethered to the walls and ceiling via puppet strings. The shadow lacks legs and instead slithers across the ground or crawls using its arms, but its movement is limited because of the strings. Bandages wrap from its elbow to its wrist on both arms, and a top-hat rests on its head. In this form, Jamie lacks any features, but is still able to talk clearly.

Personality:
Jamie adapts a wide variety of characteristics depending on the situation at hand. Usually he acts like a somewhat whiny, although polite child who always knows the right thing to say. Other times he pretends to be very bashful around others and speaks with a stutter, prompting coos from women. Sometimes he's an energetic child eager to learn how exactly the local shop or the subway work, asking numerous questions and generally being cute but annoying. All of these he'd pretended to be at one time of another, but none of them quite reflect what he's really thinking or how he acts alone.
At the core, the boy is quiet, cunning, and manipulative. He holds the firm belief that everyone around him believes himself to be superior to him in one way or another, no matter how they treat him. Dog-eat-dog is how the world runs, after all. While the original was much more trusting and generous towards people in general, the shadow sees others as stepping stones to achieve his goals, and won't hesitate to betray or manipulate others to get ahead.

—Description: When he wants to be, Jamie can be really adorable and seem completely innocent. People tend to drop their guard around him because of this, which makes getting what he wants much easier.

—Strength Name: Easy Getaway
—Description: While learning to live on his own, Jamie had many bad run-ins while perfecting his pickpocketing tecniques, which usually meant he had to escape very quickly. After so many failures and resulting getaways, he has gotten very good at sprinting, and can easily outrun most people.

—Strength Name: Hide 'n Seek
—Description: Because he's so small and rather flexible, Jamie can easily squeeze himself into obscure places. He can also be extremely quiet if he needs to. These things combined make him an excellent hider.

—Strength Name: Nimble Fingers
—Description: Jamie decided early on that if he wanted or needed anything he'd just have to take it. This translated into him figuring out ways to lift money, wallets, jewelry, etc. from anyone he chose. He has gotten good enough at it that most people don't notice anything is missing from their person until much later.

—Strength Name: Master Weaver
—Description: Jamie can instantly tell believeable lies without any trouble, and usually fools lots of people, which he think is pretty helpful. Since he's so good at it himself, he can also spot when someone else is lying.

—Description: Since Jamie is only a young boy, his muscles haven't fully developed. This means that he isn't very strong physically.

—Weakness Name: Not Free, Not Buying
—Description: Jamie is materialistic and stingy to the point of unhealthy. To avoid spending money or parting with anything he "collects", he'll usually avoid buying anything, even food, clothes, medicine, etc. unless he desperately needs it and can't steal it. This means he gets sick and fatigued easily.

—Weakness Name: Jaded
—Description: Unlike the original, Jamie really doesn't care about dreams, hopes, and wishes. To him, the world is an ugly place that will eat him if he's not careful. In short, he's completely disinterested in the world. No matter what, the only thing he'll do is things that benefit him, and completely disregard others.

—Weakness Name: "Without Pride, there is no fall."
—Description: Despite his talents and desire for success, Jamie has almost zero pride. He will literally do anything, no matter how deplorable, humiliating, or degrading if he believes it will ultimately benefit him.

—Weakness Name: Magpie
—Description: The original Jamie wanted nothing more than to be successful in the world, but he used honest means to get there. Shadow Jamie shares the same drive, but he uses less scrupulous methods of achieving it. Namely, he'll frequently snatch items he thinks may be of some type of value even if he really doesn't need it, and them horde them in his pockets for long periods of time, even going so far as refusing to buy anything just so he doesn't have to part with anything he's "collected".

The Background

History:The original Jamie was a foster child. His parents had died when he was very young, and therefore he doesn't remember much about them. For most of his life, he was shipped around to various families or orphanages, until finally a family in the Azores region took him in and agreed to keep him long-term.

Ever since he was very young, Jamie always dreamed of being successful. It was his one goal in life to have as much money as he could possibly need and be well-liked by everyone because of his accomplishments. He'd work anywhere he could, trying to earn experience for the future and build contacts. But people either didn't take him seriously or used him. They'd laugh at his talk of getting rich, or just use his help to avoid hiring more employees and spend more money. Eventually Jamie caught on and began to grow very annoyed at the way he was treated. He didn't have to work for them. He didn't have to play nice and smile. He could be as rude to them as they were to him. He could take what little they gave them instead of working for it. But he was going to be honest, because when he got famous, he could go back to all of these people and get their apologies, and feel satisfied knowing he earned everything the right way.

Your character looks good except for one thing. Your Apathetic and Jaded weaknesses are basically the same. You need to change one of them, then you'll be approved.
