| DOMINIQUE JULES "Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned...again"
The Biography
|
Birth Name: Dominique Jules Aliases: Alexis Vitale Gender: Assigned male at birth, but not really Age: 18 Birth Day: 12th June Arcana: Portrayed as an old man in a dark place or cave, holding up a lantern, the Hermit is associated with wisdom, introspection, solitude, retreat and philosophical searches. Pros: The Personas of the Hermit Arcana are commonly Personas excelling in Mental-Ailment skills (such as Panic, Charm, etc). Users have a 15% more chance of causing Mental-Ailments.. Status: Enslaved.
Profession: Sex Worker.
Appearance: Standing at 180cm/5'11 feet tall and 59kg/130 pounds, Dominique is, as expected, very skinny. His body doesn't portray masculine proportions, presenting itself in the limits of gender perception and bordering on a natural albeit unintentional androgyny that's complimented by his unusual choice of attire: colorful, feminine and very short clothes, such as off-shoulder cropped shirts that do little favor in covering his flat belly, varied jeans shorts and many, many jewels, from rings and glasses to earrings, bracelets with little compromise to cohesion and visual harmony - the flashier, the better. His skin in fairly tan, with a light cocoa tone and he does tend to enhance it with the extensive, rather aggressive use of makeup. He likes to bleach his hair and keep it in a fashionable haircut to compose the uniqueness of his figure.
- Spoiler:
Personality: Sassy, distrustful and ill-tempered, Dominique is the type of person who might be considered hard to handle at first glance. If once he was demure and very submissive, a life of facing hardships has taught him to develop a very confrontational, wary and cynical personality in order to survive in a world he feels that doesn't want him alive to begin with. He doesn't back down from a fight, be it verbal or physical, and always has a comeback ready at the tip of his tongue, tinting his words with enough venom and acidity and little care as to whether they might hurt, whoever and however they might hurt. As he always says, "somebody has to cry a river and this time it won't be me". This upfront "I take no shit" character coexists with his more modest side, an immutable trait since his childhood years much thanks to his religious upbringing. Despite living through many struggles, from poverty to sexual exploitation, that molded his personality in a pessimistic, often self-loathing direction, Dominique has an unshakeable faith in God and is an avid reader of the Bible, ready to preach any verse at anyone he deems in the wrong and perhaps teach a valuable lesson or change their outlooks in life if possible. Through the goods and bads, he has not been stripped of empathy and goes as far as to lend a friendly ear if he feels someone might be in need of a positive advice - and won't even charge for it! Time is money, and though there's never enough time to lose for the poor, no check is better than making someone's view less hopeless and more hopeful.

The Potential
|
Strengths: (Anything your character is skilled in, such as Martial Arts/ Drawing/ etc? You are allowed a maximum of five strengths and a minimum of three.)
—Strength Name: Street Fighter —Description: Dominique is used to a rough life in the streets and therefore learned how to fight for either food or self-defense. Also, he always does carry a small, silver knife with a crux handler in the back pocket of his shorts, just in case he can't make use of his demonic weapon and has to rely on another source of self-defense. Said knife is sharp and easy to hid and pull.
—Strength Name: Emotional Sage —Description: Due to Dominique's job, he has heard a lot in his work sessions, which made him develop a deeper understanding of people's mentalities and emotions. Sometimes, he doesn't even need much to spot the source of his client's daily struggles and provide what he believes to be the necessary counselling. Naturally, it also means he knows how to spot emotional vulnerabilities and exploit them. Skills that inflict mental ailments receive an extra +15% chance of landing.
—Strength Name: Good Observant —Description: As Dominique doesn't have a lot of friends to keep a social image and keeps his profession with maximum discretion for the sake of his clients despite his flashy outfits, he has learned to keep to himself most of the time. This made him take the opportunity to make better analysis of the surroundings, as well as the people around, and identify certain traits most wouldn't be able to, at first sight.
—Strength Name: Divine Concentration —Description: Dominique’s resolves to fight are fuelled by his ever so crescent and firm belief that he’s on the right side and has the direct command of God to guide his path and provide him power to succeed in battles should they come. Ppstr stat is boosted by extra 15%.
—Strength Name: —Description:
----- ((A floating Strength is a strength you've gained inRP. For example, if you were on a Kendo team for some time, you'd naturally know Kendo which is where this strength would come in. However, be aware, it will not be as strong as any of your actual strengths and is a small plus)
—Floating Strength Name: —Description:
Weaknesses: (You must have the same amount of weaknesses as strengths. These weaknesses pertain to you and not your Persona. IE: Physically Weaker, lack of attention span, etc.)
—Weakness Name: Pyrophobia —Description: Due to the traumatic events of Dominique's childhood, he has developed a crescent fear of fire. At his regular place, he doesn't even have an stove and even if he did, he wouldn't get near it. The common explanation will be something such as "I'm lazy to do the cooking" or "I'm not good at cooking". Witnessing the creation of any flame, including attack/skills based in this element, immediately might trigger the fear ailment, with 10% roll chance for each cast or each turn in presence of a fire source/environment.
—Weakness Name: Skinny sensibility —Description: Due to being rather slim in body frame, bordering on unhealthy levels of thinness, and wearing quite provocative, short clothes, Dominique feels more susceptible to changes in the environment, precisely its temperature. Any ice attacks landed on Dominique have extra 15% chance of causing the freeze ailment.
—Weakness Name: Emotional vulnerability —Description: His rather upfront, aggressive nature doesn't mean he's heartless. On the contrary, despite being wary of people for the majority of the time, Dominique has a soft spot for people confessing their struggles to him, which immediately mellows him out and makes him feel like he can provide some sort of help or emotional assistance to them. If he has an opportunity to give people a fiery speech about the joy of being alive and believing in God, he will take it.
—Weakness Name: Unholy Rejection —Description: Sorcery is evil. Sorcery is demonic. So, naturally, anything magical is faced with strangeness by Dominique. Pmstr stat suffers a -15% penalty.
—Weakness Name: —Description:
----- ((A floating weakness is one gained in RP. It could be a fear you inherited during RP, or an injury that hinders your character. Some can be temporary while others can be permanent.)
—Floating Weakness Name: —Description:
Shadow/Demon Weapon: ((This is the both a Weapon and a Shadow/Demon, that's been stitched to your soul. Once you've awakened proper, you can summon this weapon at will, much like that of a soulbound weapon that the other classes have. The difference being that a Shadow/Demon Weapon is used to cast skills alongside its more primitive function of striking whatever enemy is in front of you. Unlike a Persona, You need to maintain physical contact with your weapon to use its abilities.))
Weapon Name: "God" Weapon Description: It manifests as an alluring and enticing energy around Dominique’s hand, making him form a huge-sized arm with sharp claw with very long razor-like fingers where it’s supposed to be the hand. Weapon Image: (Not necessary) Weapon Attack Type: Slash. Weapon Element: None.
Side-Arm Weapon:
Side-Arm Name: N/A Side-Arm Description: A simple black pistol, with wasted, scratched ornaments as sign of a previous history before Dominique’s ownership. Side-Arm Image: (Not necessary) Side-Arm Attack Type: Gun Side-Arm Style: Precision Style - Single Shot - Base Accuracy of 90%. +10% to Critical Hit Rate. Hits a single enemy. 6 Rounds per Magazine. 54 Reserves Capacity

The Background
|
History: Dominique had a childhood with few things worth remembering. There was the poverty, the lack of resources, a secluded life in the shelters...and a strictly religious single mother, as doting as severe. If it weren't for her firm religious beliefs, chances are their life would have been much sadder than it was, but her good humor and high faith in a superior being's plans made Dominique learn from an early age the love for life and fall in love with the figure of God, in his mind a noble, merciful, strong man, the embodiment of what he wished his father could be. While most kids would enjoy playing with each other, Dominique could spend hours praying, in hopes God would listen and start talking back. He loved his mother above everything else, but he would love even more if she could be happy, for he knew she wasn't. Call it childish perception or maybe intuition, but seeing the ever changing in his mother's behavior to a crescent mania, Dominique's devotion increased accordingly, praying that God would heal her from what he deemed to be madness and dementia. His dedication was such that, in certain moment... God started responding.
At first it was like a tender voice deep inside his head, such as callow dreams, something you don't know whether it really happened or not. But it did, time to time again. The voice became an audible whisper. Airy words became crystalline sentences. And soon, Dominique was speaking to God himself in no time, his best friend of all time. He grew incredibly attached to this friend. However, his mother, who was in a descending spiral of compromised mental health, wasn't insane enough to not notice the shift in his son's behavior. Of course he had always been different than other boys around his age and though she noticed, she didn't mind it completely. It was probably just because he was raised without a fatherly figure, or secluded in a life of survivability and hardships. She didn't expect, however, he was starting to talk to demons. There couldn't be another explanation when Dominique came to her talking about things he couldn't have known, things that were soon-to-be. Their faith was rewarded as a possession and, in a raging fit, Ms. Jules attempt to expunge the evil with her own hands, by tossing alcohol over Dominique and attempting to burn him alive.
He escaped. As much as he loved his mother and God, his senses of survivability spoke louder and a terrified Dominique managed to run from a burning home hub. What happened to his mother, he would never know. At the age of 13, he found himself alone in the world. Well...not entirely alone. The voice was still there. A comforting, firm voice echoing in his mind what to do and how to do it. It told him everything he needed to do to survive, no matter how despicable, disgusting and self-destructive it would be. And...he did. Knowing that everything would be fine in the end because it was God speaking to him and giving him the knowledge he needed to survive. He felt dirty, wounded and shattered inside, but he did everything he was ordered to. After all, God kept him alive! And as long as he had God by his side, what bad could befall upon him...?
