"What does it really mean to live?"
The Biography
|
Birth Name: Jin Zong Wu Aliases: Crushing Fist Master Gender: Male Age: 36 Birth Day: 6/4 Arcana: Hermit Place of Residence: Nadashiki School Year: Teacher Class: (We'll fill this in once you're approved. This will be your class in school)
After School Club: N/A
Part Time Job: N/A
Appearance:
Standing around six feet tall, Jin is a man of Chinese descent. His height is probably one of the traits that stands out the most from others, giving him a much overbearing appearance at first. Having a very lean physique, it is hard to make out the toned musculature formed on his body from countless Xing Yi training he has been subject to with his choice of formal clothing. His dark black hair is mostly swept back to reveal his forehead and thin eyebrows which adds a slightly calm and austere overall look. If one could examines his black pupils very carefully, they will notice there is much emptiness in them. A void of something that is begging to be filled by something.
Like his muscles, it's very easy to miss the fact that Jin is actually a renown master of Xing Yi within the Chinese kung fu circles. His knuckles have some noticeable form of calluses, but not enough to become largely obvious to many. But strangely enough, his palms are rather softer than most people. Especially within his fellow Xing Yi practitioners, where they made some use of palm strikes and throws. On an overall, most people wouldn't be able to tell he is well-versed any form of martial arts due to his overall appearance.
Being a teacher in Kizuna Academy, Jin is also subject to dress appropriately for his age and his workspace. He is usually clothed in rather bland formal attire including a set pair of trousers and coat in a suit. Of course, he also dons the all so important scarlet red tie which also makes him stand out even more. As part of his character, Jin also does partake in a bit of smoking himself as he keeps a pack of cigarettes and a metallic zippo lighter with him.
Now as someone who had just escaped jail, Jin looks more shabbier than he usually is. One would think that he looks like a completely different person. In fact, a lot may even dismiss him as some homeless bum on the streets. With a pair of worn jeans and a black coat with a torn green scarf around his neck, it seems to hide his physique very well. The weathered old beanie bag also seems to accentuate his homeless appearance.
Personality: Jin has been known to be a rather "nice" teacher to many of his students in his classes. He has been seen as fairly understanding to many students in their "hardships" to get through and survive high school as he tries to limit what homework he is supposed to give. Of course, Jin does make attempts to make his lectures as less boring as possible, though it is usually is a hit or miss at times. Not many know him as a martial arts master, so they see him as mostly an endearing and nice man who can do no harm. However, all of this merely a facade. The facade to be a perfect teacher that came from his childhood conditioning to be the perfect individual. Almost everything is a lie.
Jin is a more analytical individual who tries to make prudent and decisive decisions that lead to the best result. This does give much to his "robotic" self. He lacks actual emotions and could easily fake them out to appease many people. But in the end, he sees all as nothing. All so useless in his more nihilistic thought. There seemed no point in continuing to live.
Nevertheless, Jin is pretty much bored of his life. There is no pleasure or pain at all. And the future seemed utterly monotonous.

—Weakness Name: Unarmed —Description: Despite being a Xing Yi Master, Jin doesn't hit the full brunt of his potential as a combatant by refusing to use a weapon. This usually gives him a dire disadvantage against enemies with far longer range than he has. However, he tries to make it up with what skill and prowess he possesses.
Soul Bound Weapon: None. Despite knowing how to use various weaponry as attributed to his Xing Yi, he uses his own skill in unarmed combat to fight competently through Fa Jing and Hua Jing. Meaning, he uses his own fists.
Weapon Name: Fists Weapon Description: Callused knuckles on hands. Weapon Image: N/A Weapon Attack Type: Strike Weapon Element: N/A

The Background
|
History:
The Wu's were a rather high ranking family within the Chinese Communist government. They once began as a poor fishing family in the Southern lands of China. However, involvement with one of the family members in the Chinese Civil War changed their fates. As the Communist faction had won the brunt of the country, the Wu's were subsequently rewarded for their loyalty and ability. Currently, the patriarch of the family married a woman who was of another high ranking family within the government. Of course, it was all business in the end. Though thankfully there was a lack of conflict between spouses.
Through their union, Jin was born. As an offspring of such a prestigious family, he was expected to excel and take his father's place. But being a child of weak constitution, his father finally decided to place him under the care of a Xing Yi master to help strengthen the boy. As if answering their prayers for excellence, Jin quickly soared through various forms and techniques of the art at an unprecedented speed only heralded in myths. But of course, his parents did not care too much of his accomplishments in martial arts. No. What they wanted him to be the best in was his education.
Thankfully even that reciprocated to their wishes as he was great in various subjects and was fluent in English, both Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese, and Japanese. However, these pressures possibly led to the insomnia in his teen years. Of course this was the secret to his supposed genius since he spent those "waking" hours perfecting his studies and what other endeavors he had. His parents didn't seem to be too worried about it, just so as long as he keeps being perfect. But of course, this is eventually led to him becoming a robot. A well-tuned automaton that must have 100% accuracy and success in its function. His life eventually became emotionally numb as he had to close himself away from others.
It all changed when he attended high school. Of course he attended a very prestigious one and was the student president. That was expected of him. But, it was all different with his Vice-President, Wendy Yu. She was completely... How should one say this? "Active". She lacked much of the elegance and poise that seemed to be expected of her, with much consideration she is in a prestigious school. Yet, perhaps this more rustic personality came from her lower economic class.
Nevertheless, Wendy was both an enigma and an anomaly to Jin. This girl introduced him to more of the world around them and coaxed him out of his dull shell. Consequently Jin seemed to become more of a normal individual. Did his family have some concern? Of course, they didn't want their prized son to become influenced by this hick. They warned him to stay away and focus on his studies. But, he ignored them and continued to interact with her. From their relationship, the teen found out her dream was to become an archaeologist or possibly a history teacher to break the tradition of boring lectures with her own power.
This was at the point when Jin Zong Wu realized he never had a dream. He had been living his life for the family like a puppet with strings attached. And this caused him to become bitter to them. Near the end of his high school year, fate has struck him blind. Wendy was struck in a car accident, drastically cutting her life short and leaving Jin to himself. This was the turning point in which he finally decided to break away from the mold.
With the help of his Xing Yi Master, he was able to secretly immigrate himself to the United States in San Francisco, California. Jin would attend Community College there as he lived in a Kung Fu Kwoon of his Master's friend. Where he would get his own money for a while to fund his own new lifestyle and the tuition as a kung fu teacher. Strangely enough, this was a point when his insomnia disappeared for a while.
Five years has passed and Jin finally qualified for citizenship. Almost immediately he became naturalized. As he fulfilled all class requirements in college, he wanted to move on to university. Yet, this was going to be near impossible with his current income and with him breaking off all contact with his family. This eventually meant him joining the US marines at the age of 22.
For a few years, Jin found himself serving for the marines in the Middle East fighting off insurgents with a rifle. Of course the basic military training coupled together with his Xing Yi made him a force to reckoned with and has nearly been considered being qualified to be an US Green Beret. But, he didn't want any of that and eventually went to University with the government funding him. Soon in a few years, he graduated with degrees and became a teacher after several occasions of flying to various countries (Japan, Taiwan, and China) to open a seminar on Xing Yi for many already skilled martial artists. It was really in Japan when he became known as the Crushing Fist Master and his fame grew more in Taiwan and China.
However, nothing seemed to work out for him as Jin failed to enjoy the moment he had as a teacher and seemed as if he were back to the drawing board. There was no way he could start over. Without much choice, he tried his chances in Japan as a high school teacher in World History.

| You can use your fists as a soulbound weapon. However, you need to clarify what damage it deals (Strike/Slash/Pierce) for battle. That way you know what you can do and no one will get confused. Apart from that, everything is looking good. | |

|
