Snooping Around [Dees/Cain]

Being not just new to the Philemon, but this world itself, Cain knew one thing for certain about society here: He knew nothing for certain. There were certain things he'd like to know, but wasn't sure who to ask. He eventually figured the bar might have a variety of people willing to talk.

Upon arrival, there were a number of patrons, but it wasn't crowded. He had seen before a very small number of those there, but none he had talked to. He made his way over to an empty table and leaned against it. At first, there didn't seem to be a clear choice as to who he should approach, but then he remembered one specific resident of the ship, or rather, a species of residents that he had indeed teamed up with before. They seemed to be everywhere, which ironically made them stand out less to him. Surely those residents could be found here, or anywhere for that matter, if he just looked.

Several waddle-dee's had watched Cain Pass by in the halls as they worked, the tasks they were doing varied as wildly as the Waddle-dee's did themselves, carrying packages, to doing maintenance, from carrying food to the people that had asked for it, to cleaning the ship from floor to ceiling, the little Waddle-dees were in fact everywhere, they were even popping out in little space suits to go to the damaged sections of the ship to assess the damages and to effect repairs there where possible, all this was going on as Cain walked down the hall thinking to himself. and all of it in well coordinated silence.

In the Bar it was no different, the small Spherical Creatures were running about delivering drinks and menu's to people, though there were quite a lot less of them in here due to Tequila having told them that he only wanted a small number of them in his Bar at any one time. So all in all there were only ever four in here at a time. One even delivered a menu to Cain when he first sat down and then it scooted off to tend to other customers. Now though Cain would be able to see one of the Little guys wandering around seeing if any of the few patrons they had needed anything.

He didn't come here for food, but that's okay, cause he could just leave the menu on the table. He looked down towards one of the Waddle-dees and said "Hey, you." He almost introduced himself in a more familiar manner, but remembered he did not know if that Waddle-dee was a Waddle-dee he had ever seen. "You're all over the place, aren't you? So you might have the answer. Have you ever seen another human from the old world? At any point, on this spaceship or not. It would be good to locate friends and family, wouldn't it?" Perhaps there was a log somewhere documenting any resident who had ever been on the ship at some point, though that might be private information. He knew they couldn't speak, so he waited patiently for it to bring out whatever form of communication it would use, if not just a yes or no nod.

The Waddle-dee that was scooting by stopped as it was called out to, and looked up at Cain, and as the man asked his question another Waddle-dee scooted up and handed a note pad and paper to the first Waddle-dee before scooting back off to continue tending to the customers.

The Waddle-dee that was paying attention to Cain's questions now with a pad and pencil in it's hands listened to him and then started to write once he was done asking his question, the little waddle-dee writing quickly before reading over what it wrote and nodding before turning the pad around and holding it up for Cain to read.

"I believe their is a full passenger manifest available on the bridge, if you are looking for someone in particular we can have a Waddle-dee lead you to their quarters, but if you are looking for people that are new to the ship a few arrived not to long ago during a crisis if you wanted to talk to them we could get the names if the Captain gives permission" the note read

The information wasn't exactly classified after all, the people in question having already mentioned a few times they were from another time or something at some point while they were on the ship meaning there was a Waddle-dee nearby to hear them, so they were not keeping it a secret at all, but giving out names and quarters did need captains approval or approval of the person in question.
