Spoiler:
Alternate Appearance: With the power of solaris, he calls upon his name in order to gain his strength. It's like night and day with Solomon, with him literally becoming a massive and muscular version of himself. He also increases to an additional 1 foot in height, making him something akin to a massive giant of 7 feet tall. Sometimes it varies from the clothes literally ripping from his body, him wearing something akin to templar armor, or customary armor that fits with his size increase.
Spoiler:
Last Life
Spoiler:
Personality: Starting with his personality, Solomon Kane is a considerate human being who thinks that the common courtesy geared towards others is a quality that has to be maintained for a peaceful outlook in life. It's almost vain at a time with how hospitable he could be for other people, but it's how he interprets professionalism. This is actually due to Solomon suffering from survivals' guilt, with the traumatic experience causing a change in his personality and how he should live. Solomon is also very open to new experiences, he has an appreciation for the variety of ways that other people choose to live their lives and would try at least one aspect of it to get a blueprint of their personality. Solomon might be one of the few that would take "walking in one's shoes" in a literal sense to find a way to understand someone. Considering all of the positives, he's also rather spontaneous, pairing up with how open he is. Jumping right into it, Solomon will take the end result with a grain of salt and would rather move on with his life than dwell on it too much.
But even with all of the positives that he has, there are some negative qualities that Solomon harbors. It can be a bit embarrassing, but Solomon isn't much of a great multitasker and can be rather finicky when he has to do too many things at a time. Keeping up with that pace brings a bit of stress, and he's still trying to figure out a healthy way to manage it all. It also goes hand in hand with his accommodations, the real reason why he's so accommodating is due to his inability to share. Solomon is stingy to a fault and would rather buy you the exact copy of something than let you borrow something of his. But with enough persistence, he would bend and go along with it.
With everything stated, this is how Solomon is normally. However, when he's transformed, he develops additional personality traits. For starters, Solomon becomes courageous.
You ever heard the saying "I laugh in the face of danger!"? , he literally becomes "That Guy". But with such bravery, it pairs up with his arrogance of having everything under control, thinking that the power that he has is enough to handle the situation that's in front of him. He would even underestimate his enemies and have an overestimation of the abilities of his colleagues. In this case, Solomon would motivate his friends as their own personal hypeman, but could become the hypeman that could make things worse potentially for his friends or even himself.
But once he's out of his transformation, Solomon drops that aspect of his personality and is back to his usual self.
The Potential
Strengths: (Anything your character is skilled in, such as Martial Arts/ Drawing/ etc? You are allowed a maximum of five strengths and a minimum of three.)
—Strength Name: Call Upon Thy Name! Thou Who Bears My Mark! —Description: With the powers of Solaris, a tattoo of the being's face was implanted on the back of Solomon. This indicates that the power is within him, and by calling on its name, Solomon takes on his iconic appearance and the demon's weapon materializes in his hand.
*Solomon's powers are hidden in plain sight as a tattoo and can have access to them by saying the name of his weapon. This is done in a very "Shazam!" like way.
—Strength Name: The Path Of A Protection Paladin —Description: For any skill buffing skill that involves that Solomon uses, the turns that it lasts for increase by 2 posts.
—Strength Name: Of The People! —Description: After his traumatic experience, Solomon left his service because Solomon runs a non-profit food pantry, for less fortunate people, some of the people see him as generous and kind. Especially in dire times of danger and acts of terror, simply having some food for those who are doing their best to survive is a thankless job that's individuals seem to notice the importance of such a public service and hold him in high regard
Starts With Favor for the Last Bastion.
—Strength Name: MRE Preparation —Description: With him running the food pantry based on donations and how scarce things could be at times with no one possibly having the patience to cook anything, one of the main qualities of food that Solomon receives are MRE's or Meals Ready To Eat.
*Can get 1 Cuisine To Go's per day*
—Strength Name: SAMI Combat Skill —Description: With the training that Solomon received, it was rather unorthodox with the choices that were made. For instance, combat knives were done away with and tactical tomahawks were used. Due to this, Solomon feels at home whenever holding his weapon and rather deadly with it's usage, regardless of it's size. Whether it's grappling with it or using it to climb a mountain, Solomon is the man with 101 ways to use an ax in modern times.
----- ((A floating Strength is a strength you've gained inRP. For example, if you were on a Kendo team for some time, you'd naturally know Kendo which is where this strength would come in. However, be aware, it will not be as strong as any of your actual strengths and is a small plus)
—Floating Strength Name: —Description:
Weaknesses: (You must have the same amount of weaknesses as strengths. These weaknesses pertain to you and not your Persona. IE: Physically Weaker, lack of attention span, etc.)
—Weakness Name: But If you say it twice... —Description:The management of the powers of Solaris is simple, but the simplicity of saying its name can transform Solomon back to his normal self without supernatural influences.
—Weakness Name: The Faults of a specialist —Description: Solomon's magical defense against debuffing is weaker than usual, making him struggle to fend off the effects. Debuffs that are used on Solomon last for an additional post.
—Weakness Name: No Tolerance for the wicked —Description: Due to his ties with the templars, it gives him natural ire with the heralds cult.
—Weakness Name: Influence is key —Description: Solomon lobbies for the food pantry and influence is key for anyone to get involved. With this, in order to lobby for assistance for the food pantry, Solomon would have to dedicate even more in order to continue to benefit from it. During the course of three days, Solomon would have to give up one of those days of investigating to lobby. If he does so, after the third day, it starts over with him having to pick a day in order to lobby instead of investigating.
Breakdown example
Spoiler:
Day 1- Free MRE/Can investigate Day 2- Free MRE/ Lobbying instead of investigating Day 3- Free MRE/Can investigate The cycle starts over, one of the upcoming 3 days needs to be sacrificed.
—Weakness Name: But everything else? Ehh..... —Description: Solomon's other skills were rather average when in the service, even his unarmed skills were less than average when he wasn't holding an axe. If it was to slip away from him, the worst-case scenario would be to "Solaris!" back into his normal form and "Solaris" right back for it to materialize in his hand if it wasn't close enough for him to maintain control. ----- ((A floating weakness is one gained in RP. It could be a fear you inherited during RP, or an injury that hinders your character. Some can be temporary while others can be permanent.)
—Floating Weakness Name: —Description:
Shadow/Demon Weapon: ((This is the both a Weapon and a Shadow/Demon. You have a parasitic relationship with this Shadow/Demon, and as such you will always want it near you as it is the source of your power. Unlike Soulbound Weapons, this Shadow/Demon Weapon cannot be summoned and will always remain active, meaning you'll have to keep it on you at all times.))
Weapon Name: Solaris Weapon Description: A One handed Axe that's 4 feet in length, with the cutting edge of the axe being 30 centimeters. It doesn't make much sense in Solomon being in his average form, but it's perfect for him when transformed. Weapon Image:
Spoiler:
Weapon Attack Type: Slash Weapon Element: (Leave this blank. Only special weapons obtain an element behind its blows.)
Side-Arm Weapon:
Side-Arm Name: Side-Arm Description: A Sig Sauer with a cross on it, rather big so it fits in Solomon's hand Side-Arm Image:
Spoiler:
Side-Arm Attack Type: Gun Side-Arm Style: (Choose one of the three below -
Revolver - Single Shot - Accuracy is increased by 20%. Consumes only one type of ammo per use. Can shoot only one enemy at a time.
The Background
History:When it comes to Solomon Kane, life in Nuevo Vitae was simple at best. Regardless of your social class, the education was excellent. The food was great for cheap eats, even the housing markets seemed to never turn up short when it came to new homeowners. Jeremiah Kane was a simple man, a single father whose baby boy was thrust into his hands when the mother didn't survive the pregnancy. He needed to do right by the boy, he wanted to guard him physically and spiritually. With that being said, Solomon was brought about the church and attended military school. Tough love was the only thing that Jeremiah knew, so it was the only thing that he could teach Solomon. In addition to that, the good grace of God was the closest to the tender touch of Solomon's mother that Jeremiah could simulate for the boy.
He sometimes had guilt, feeling as if his wife could raise the boy better than he can. But even if that was the case, Jeremiah did the best that he could. In the end, Solomon never really believed in God, it was more of a half-assed notion of belief that he did in order to please his father. Solomon was a bit of a wild boy while he was in military school with his bunkmates, taking the time to enlist in the Italian armed forces.
Solomon -Young Adult-
Usually, you feel invincible when you are younger, you feel like you can handle anything that life threw at you. Somehow, Solomon lived through this philosophy and served in the military police for about four years on duty, spending his inactive service back home in Nuevo Vitae when his father Jeremiah received colon cancer. With the money he earned, Solomon sent his father to the states for more specialized care, in which his father started a romance with the doctor who was in charge of his chemotherapy. This is relevant, due to the fact that his father decided to stay in the states and wanted Solomon to meet the woman as well.
However, Solomon felt like being near that woman gave his father the strength to fight and didn't want to be detrimental to his father's health with his theatrics. He said he would watch over the house instead, and received an offer to join the U.N under the DIA (Direzione Investigativa Antimafia), he was more or less working a dangerous job working undercover to prevent prominent mafia members in Nuevo Vitae from infiltrating the government. A young 22-year-old Solomon, thought that this was his chance to play with the big boys, and he did perform for three years as he rose up the ranks of the mafia and gained their trust, all the same, while following orders of the U.N of killing off some members and having some people of his U.N team going undercover to replace those prominent roles. It was a dirty job, it got bad at times, but at least he felt like he had people around that understood him.
That was before the culling happened.
"U.N RATS!! DOESN'T MATTER WHO IT IS, THEY DIE!!!"
Somehow they were found out, or better yet, the mafia was gunning at random to wipe out the more involved squad to see who the rats were. The shootouts were just the tip of the iceberg that got them scattered and scared while a certain someone did their own assessment and picked them off one by one.
The phonecall was almost surreal as Solomon had a sharp jolt of fear in his heart.
The Winter Fox was on their payroll..... Running Scared: And then there were two
Too many to count, too many double-crossings. An ultimatum was given to kill one of his comrades in order to maintain his cover or else they both died. It was a good friend of Solomon, but he knew that it was only going to end one way. Solomon killed him, and survived the culling, he was the last one, the only one. The U.N. felt that after such a massacre, this was the most vulnerable point of the mafia and they could finally take them down, but Solomon was done. He had enough.....
"How could God forgive this? No one can just forgive all of this........"
The number of sins he committed was instrumental to how he viewed religion, thinking if it to be impossible to wash the blood away. It was like he could still see it, no matter how much he washed his hands. He spent his time in the church, going to as many services as he could with the lost and blank look on his face. He stopped working out, stopped shaving, stopped using his hot boy hair dye to fit in with his mafia persona. He even stopped calling his father.
He was just Solomon .... he was just himself now..an empty shell of himself.
This continued until one day he simply broke down.
The Lowest Point
Why was he the only one left alive? Nothing really made sense to him. All he did was weep alone in the church that day, with the sadness and rage, his heart truly desired answers. It was at that moment that Solomon met a representative of the Templar's Heel. It was a different cause, it was simple enough for him to understand. Fight for justice, protect the innocents from evil, the opportunity of the power to do so. He sought that, and believe it or not, Solomon made a pact with a demon in order to do so.
With the powers of Solaris, he clears the way for "the one".
But who is "the one"? What is Solomon's new destiny in the neverending apocalypse?
Only time will tell as the story of Nuevo Vitae unfolds.....
