"Human" Appearance:

Tex is a pale, somewhat unassuming teen, at first glance. He's easily written off as another Cosplayer, wearing a 'dapper' white, black, and red outfit. He has several piercings, and pitch black hair. During the day, his eyes are red, however at night, they turn a Shadow Self's signature Yellow. Strangely, he has sharp teeth, pointed ears, and a rather cartoon-ish black demons tail. These features come from his status as a Shadow, the true self. He wears a top hat, though he'd never be caught dead tipping it. He weighs 110 pounds, and stands at 5'6.

The True Self:

Personality: Avery is essentially a walking cartoon character. He's snarky, and a bit of a jerk, tending to antagonize people, out of simple desire for something fun to do. Nearly nothing is beneath him. Though, with that said, he tends to focus more on legitimately bad people, instead of people minding their own business. As such, normally he ends up delivering just deserts, even when not on the clock. He tends to play himself as being richer than he actually is.

He tends to have a soft spot for children younger than himself, taking time to put on shows using his odd abilities. He seems to take some amount of pride in his title as a cadet, and as such respects their rules to some degree, making sure nothing he does hurts the cadet image. Also helping is the fact that as a low class cadet, he's practically unknown if he doesn't flaunt it.

—Description: Avery seems naturally lucky, and is very resourceful. +15% luck.

—Strength Name: Free as a Canary
—Description: While in his True Form, Avery is able to squash and stretch his body, all the way down into a pool of ink, or as tall as 13 feet, and everything inbetween. Weight remains unchanged. The former can be used to slip through tight spaces with ease. These abilities can only be used at night.

—Strength Name: Perfect as a Pig
—Description: Avery can easily move through upper-crust social circles, due to his 'fancy' demeanor.

—Description: Due to his ink based True Self, when hit by a Fire skill, he always has a 10% (20% with Single Target Skills) of being inflicted with Searing Burn, regardless if the user had that skill.

Side-Arm Description: A hunting rifle made for children. Only fires a cork. However, the cork is fired as though it was a normal bullet. Mechanically the same as a normal gun.

Side-Arm Style: Shotgun - Scatter Shot - Accuracy is decreased by 30%. Consumes 3 types of ammo at once to fire -must be same type of ammo. Can shoot all enemies with one attack.

The Background

History: Theodore Avery was once a normal boy, the child of two animators. In a Pre-divide world, the two were rivals, making different series of cartoons. However, eventually, their differences were put aside, and the two married, and had one child, a son. The boy was raised with great expectations, even in a Post Divide world. Often being told the future of cartoons could potential lie with him.

To his credit, he did try his best, however he was never much of an artist, no matter how hard he attempted to improve his skills. The stress of it all mounted, though he never found a way to confess to his parents that he simply wasn't interested. As time went on, he found himself wishing more and more that he could simply be as carefree as a cartoon. They had no worries, and could simply live in peace.

However, eventually, another way out presented itself to him. Cadets were being recruited, all one had to do was pass a simple test. He was quick to arrange the trial, however when it came time to drink The Queen's Blood, he found himself without a Persona. Instead, dark thoughts quickly took over him, pressuring every insecurity, and needling every flaw. It culminated in Avery's death...though not for long. Soon after, he rose, and immediately smashed his way through the enemies presented to him. With a toothy grin, he swore loyalty to the queen.

Since then, he's been working as a Cadet, remaining loyal to the city, however he found himself rarely returning home. Being in the same house as his parents often made him sick, and he enjoyed performing a service to the city. However, after a recent slew of illegal broadcasts, he found himself no longer being content passively fighting demons at night, or performing odd jobs for citizens.
