"...I see. Glad you two are safe, though." It was remarkably difficult to even pull a straight face when he learned that this all started over some kind of Internet shenanigans. It wasn't anything like black market illegal deals, but this sounded remarkably stupid. But it was because of that, the officer began to grow more suspicious of the whole thing. Though the look of terror in their faces sobered him just as fast as his face began to betray him. He quickly jotted down the id numbers on each id card before handing them back and as well as all the details from the two, even if there was a mandated body camera on his person. Just as he was about to choose his next set of words, he saw several of the officers coming down the stairs as some medical staff began filing up with a stretcher. The officer called towards one of them, a younger one, bringing her closer to him.
Hushed tones were exchanged between them. But the gist of it all was just what they would've found at the site of the crime. Two bodies, a broken tv, and some piles of blood. Save for one crucial detail. The other, younger, officer explained while holding up a plastic bag containing a web-camera. "But I found this in the room, near where the phone is supposed to be. Connection's dead. We won't get anything from it, but it's... weird."
Weird it was, indeed. The older one heaved a sigh and spoke to Yuri as he began to draw out cuffs. "Mister Ivanov, was it? I'm afraid we'll have to bring you in for further questioning. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say may be used against you in the court of law."

Good grief. Perhaps that camera held incriminating video of the entire battle. Or nothing. Though, if it was nothing, then why would he be brought in? Either way, if he decided to try and run now, it would most definitely seal his identify as a criminal. He went into this talk with his story straight, and would stick to it, no matter what. Inconsistency would be his end. Yuri wiped his face on his sleeve. "Oh. Okay. I understand." Continuing to act compliant would be the key to getting out of this. He wouldn't so much as look at Nadia as he would be walked away, though she was on his mind. If there was video of the fight, then she could be in trouble as well. This was absolutely terrible.

Nadia paled as they mentioned a Camera. It shouldn't reveal too much even if they did get something from it, as the supernatural abilities people displayed didn't show up on film or in digital means. Still...It was worrisome to see Yuri being carted off. He was only guilty of defending himself, but that wouldn't matter if Cadets got involved. She hoped they wouldn't but she couldn't do anything more for him now. As they left her behind, she put her head in her hands for a moment, before pulling her phone from her pocket and texting Cecil and Kendra.
'I'm okay. In the Lobby of the Inn. Not sure what just happened but I need someone. Please.'
As the police cleared out she rested her head back against the wall, and tried to get her breathing back under control, pinching her eyes shut and just...waiting for the world to make sense again.

The officer began cuffing Yoshio and began to lead him towards one of the police cruisers. It would begin to trail away into the streets away from the scene. The rest of the police cruisers and the ambulances would remain until personnel began to trail out, not before marking the hotel room as a crime scene with yellow tape to keep people out of it, to the distress of the hotel owner. Soon, all would come to a calm like before...
Though in the distance, near the crooked alleyways people rarely traveled through, only a single masked man in the shadows held up a phone to his ear while still grasping a pair of binoculars.
"Yeah, we got 'em. Hook, line, and sinker. This is going to be fun."

Yuri had been completely silent for a good few minutes into the ride. He'd been thinking about what would happen next, how he might get convicted. Perhaps choosing to run with Nadia would have been better. However, every second he sat there thinking was another second closer to being brought into a government stronghold. What else was he supposed to do, though? Try and kick the window open and jump out? Even if he miraculously escaped, he'd be a branded criminal. Good grief. This was truly quite a predicament.
He eventually came to accept he would have to try and get out of this legally. Slowly. A waste of time. Yuri hated wasting time. He could do one thing though. Perhaps it would help. Familiarising himself with the officers. Wasn't there some old person who said "To know one's enemy is to know one's self?" Or was it the other way around? It didn't matter now. He leaned towards the cop who talked to them and took their IDs. "Hey, Officer? Can I ask you a question? About those faceless people... The girl one. You saw how creepy her smile looked, right?"

The officers remained quiet as the car strode by through the streets. However, when their suspect began rambling on, they glanced at each other. But he could hear the driver begin muttering something among the lines of "Fucking weirdo..." But, the older officer gave a pointed look to keep them quiet. "Ignore him. He can ramble on what he wants about faceless people."
