| “Nah, sukiyaki ain’t on today’s menu; this is something less preparation-heavy. I had leftover rice so I’m making omurice… basically fried rice and chicken in an omelette,” Shouhei answered almost eagerly. Omurice was a meal he and Mariko often cooked and shared together. He opened the bag for Yuri to inspect: half a carton of eggs, frozen mixed vegetables, an onion, a clove of garlic, and chicken breast.
“Normally it’s served with ketchup… but I like heat instead of sweet with my meals, so I use sriracha sauce instead. Come to think of it- how about I start repaying you and let you sample my omurice firsthand.” Shouhei flicked aside his cigarette as they arrived at the dormitory and he beamed a smile of his own.

| The ingredients looked like together they'd be an excellent meal. Yuri smiled. "That sounds wonderful. I appreciate the offer." A dish served by the man, the myth, the legend himself, Kagawa Shouhei? SUrely it'd taste amazing. Together they walked, advancing towards an epic gamer moment of tastiness that would be passed down from generation to generation as the tale of two buddies bonding over cooked animal meat cooked inside a different kind of meat-like subtance from that same animal. Pretty bizarre concept. | |
