| Another day spent with Shin just lounging around his sister's home. She was out with her boyfriend this time however, instead of the usual working all day issue Shin had to deal with. He was laying flat on his face, on the floor. He'd been rolling around in his boredom and fell off the couch, but was too lazy to get up. Eventually he shoved himself off the floor and onto his knees, giving a small shout. "That's it!!" he huffed and grumbled, stomping through the house to get dressed. Not wanting to go out in what was essentially pjs, he put on jeans and a plain white t.
Last time he wandered out, he found nothing too interesting. But he did hear someone mention the local point of interest. Some factory or whatever didn't seem interesting, not that it would let him in either way. Camping was...not really his thing. Maybe if some cute outdoorsy type girl asked him along sure, but going camping by himself? Didn't seem very fun. Last choice was some ranch he heard of, so there it was. With nothing else to do he set out. Bringing sunglasses and a hat to protect himself from the heat. Though the hat was too large, and had a feather in it. Making him stand out a little. Not that there was too many people around to judge him and his hat choices anyway.
No car obviously, and no bike, made the walk annoying. But nothing to bad. But because he went on foot, when he reached the ranch it was not via the front entrance. He actually ended up walking right to a fence on the border of the ranch. Placing his hand on the fence, he thought about trying to climb it instead of walking all the way around to try and get in the correct way. Though that might have been a bad idea (and possibly illegal) he huffed, and looked around to see if he could spot the road that would lead him in.
In his search however, he saw someone. It was hard to make out all the details from the distance, but he saw a girl riding a horse. He squinted, this wasn't strange or anything. People rode horses at ranches, that was normal. What he was checkng however, was how cute the girl was.

| After everything that had happened to her lately, the peace and quiet she experienced riding out into the Ranch's pastures was a nice change. Lately, she hadn't wanted to do much more than work, sleep, and spend time with the boys. She hadn't touched a pencil in what seemed like forever, even though it had likely only been a few weeks. Now, stride across her favorite paint Micah, Nadia was perched completely still, letting the late fall air cool her cheeks. If she looked picturesque to any on lookers in her simple jeans, coat, and lightly billowing scarf, she didn't know it.
She'd stayed still long enough that Micah had grown impatient, and started padding on his own, moving to follow some scent to fresh grass or maybe even the vestiges of summer flowers for grazing...if any remained this late into the season. The horse moved, and the girl sitting atop it swayed but did not fall, nor open her eyes. She trusted the horse enough not to lead her into a tree or anything like that. Not at this pace, anyway. Her face still and serene, she took a deep breath and opened her eyes, expecting to see grass or flowers or trees. Instead, she saw that the horse had ambled nearer to the fence, and the road that ran beside. And there was a boy there, looking in her direction.
Nadia blinked her wide, curious dark eyes, and shifted her head a little to the side in confusion. Was it someone she knew? for a moment, the blond hair made her think maybe it was Cecil. But no, it was too long and there was no way Cecil would have the self confidence to wear a hat like that in public. Curiosity winning out over serenity, as it always would, Nadia lightly guided the horse closer to the fence, and the watching boy. "Hello." she said in greeting as the horse came to a stop, poking it's head over the fence to guardedly examine the figure who was not known to him.

| As he was absent mindedly watching the girl, a few thoughts ran through his head. Stupid thoughts. He imagined scenarios straight out of a novel or something. The city boy stuck out in the sticks, out of his element and miserable, till he meets a special girl. He'd enter the ranch and they would talk, she'd mention some untameable mustang which Shin would tame and show how cool and suave he was. Even though Shin had never even ridden a horse. He gave a sort of dreamy sigh as a movie basically played out in his head, in an instant.
Then the girl was closer, and he did not realize he spaced out. "H-huh? Oh!" He realized he was probably being a weirdo, but that was fine he just had to recover himself. He cleared his throat and removed his hat, giving a little bow as a greeting before fixing his silly hat back on his head. "My name is Sh- oh!" He cut himself off when the horse peeked over to examine him closer. Shin thought most animals were cute, but he usually preferred the ones smaller and fluffier than him. Though, that was not to say he minded horses at all.
He reached out a hand to allow the horse to smell him, and if the horse was not offended by his scent (which Shin for one thought he smelled perfectly pleasant) then he would reach a hand over to pet the stallion. "As I was saying, I'm Shin! Nice to meet you miss...?" He paused to allow the girl to introduce herself. This trip was already proving worth it, meeting a cute girl was always a plus in Shin's books. At the very least, he was not just sitting around bored.

| Nadia smiled a little as Micah inspected the plumed boy, eyeing the hate as he tipped it off of his head like some courtier from a far away land. Nadia had to giggle a little as Shin was surprised by the horse's advance. Despite it being one of the few attractions in the area, nobody really visited the stables very often. Now that The horse had introduced himself, Nadia nodded. "Nadia. Nice to meet you." She replied, urging Micah to the side so she could reach her hand down to shake Shin's. She'd never been called miss by anyone other than her tutors growing up. It made her feel a little strange being called that by a boy closer to her own age - maybe younger. But his tone and his mien allayed her apprehension, and she set the unneeded concern aside.
"It is quite a nice day for a walk, isn't it? Winter will be coming soon, so we have to make the best out of days like this one."

| "Nadia!" he repeated with a big grin on his face as he shook the girl's hand. "A fittingly beautiful name for such a beautiful woman!" one of these days someone was going to take Shin's careless flirting seriously, and when that day came Shin would have no idea what he was going to do with himself. Panic, probably. Though it did not seem like this girl would be the one to fling him into a panic, lucky for Shin. She spoke in a calm voice, though to Shin she sounded sorta sleep. He chalked it up to that being part of her charm was all.
To Shin's surprise, she began making small talk. About how lovely the conditions were for a walk. Shin disagreed, but only cause he did not enjoy walks much at all. He was just really bored. But telling a girl no she was wrong on this thing she enjoyed, was not really a smoothed move so instead he just said "Mhm! Very lovely!" Just sort of agreeing with her, the old "I like whatever you like" method to win favor. Shin actually preferred the cold weather, not enjoying the heat whatsoever.
He scooted closer to the fence and glances around the open space the girl had been riding in. "Um, is this your farm? Your horse?" he asked, pointing at the stallion as if she would not know which one he was talking about specifically. "I'm not actually from around here, I'm from the city." he explained, in case any of his questions seemed ignorant. Though, his funny hat might have made that obvious already.
