| Blake's shift continued into late night, Mio had already returned by now but they found themselves in their office. Still no Jack, not having him around made her shifts much more lonely, she just hoped he didn't get himself in trouble. Her job wouldn't stop just because she was feeling lonely though, diligently she cleaned the glasses the previous clients had used, she messed around with the jukebox a bit. It would be a good while before another soul stepped inside, the bell rang finally announcing the entrance of another customer The Bartender's posture straightened and a smile formed on her face before she spoke to the client. "Welcome to Heaven's door, what can i get you?" | |

| Shin was probably out later than he had any right to be. But he was home alone, bored, and feeling lonely. His mother was working overnight, again, and the house was so silent when he was alone it was dreary. Unpleasant, it felt like he was being suffocated by the emptiness of the home. But something was wrong this night. Whatever was bothering Shin was more prominent. Just sitting there watching tv or reading did not help, his attention kept drifting off no matter how hard he tried to focus. He kept looking down empty halls or corners, only seeing darkness but feeling unsettled for one reason or the other. He couldn't tell why, but in the end he decided to go out for some fresh air. Though at this time night, everything was closed and there was not much fun to be had. Well, there was one part of the the city still bustling with activity. Shin decided to hop on a train there.
Sure enough, people at drinking or clubbing where shuffling around the streets of The Backlight gave Shin some sense of comfort, he did not feel alone with others around him. Even if he stood out for looking like a lost kid, he was kind of enjoying himself. It was like a preview into adult life or something, and he found himself wearing a grin as he walked through the crowds. Sure, this trip could have been dangerous for a first year student to be out alone at night, but that was part of what made it fun. Shin's life was boring, and this was probably the most exciting thing he had done in awhile. The excitement quickly wore off however.
Obviously everywhere turned him down for being a kid, he did not even know what half the stores he tried to enter were. Made no difference, one look at Shin and he was told to go home. With a huff and arms crossed now, he was annoyed! He just wanted to look around, completely harmless. Some drunk men staggered out of a door, the door slowly shutting behind them and Shin decided, why not? Might as well try there. With a little ring to announce his presence, Shin entered the bar, finding himself in a bar. He was greeted by the bartender and his face brightened a little, she was very cute.
"I know guys come to bars to pick up girls, but how often do they try for the bartender? Or am I treading new ground?" He asked, bold, confident, and completely on auto pilot. He could not help himself when it came to a pretty girl. Strutting over, he gave the bartender a smile, and hoped she did not just kick him out immediately!

| It was a young kid, shouldn't be past his teens. They were getting underages too often. Were the Endymion kids trying to be cool and starting to frequent bars? Whichever the case she'd give them equal treatment, just no alcohol for them... Unless they were a cadet, apparently its frowned upon to not serve them. When he talked about picking up girls her eyebrows raised, surprised at his boldness and at how quick he jumped at flirting with her, most wait a bit. Perhaps even lack of self awareness. Blake had heard much more distasteful stuff so she'd let this pass.
"More often than you would think, when people get drunk all inhibitions are off. It can be quite annoying at times." The bartender replied with a shrug, honest answer to a bold and sudden question. Only one guy ever had any luck, and one gal. But they were smooth hotties and she couldn't skip on them. "What's your name? Can i get you anything or are you just here for the girls?" Her tone was friendly, she wasn't going to kick him out unless he started to bother other clients.
