| Today was a bit different than others, it wasn't a day of extravagant activities or important meetings of business with other modules that grew their business based off the populous. It was a different kind of day, today was the day that Gabe went to the gym. It was one of those standard mega gyms that resided within Vista Square. Believe it or not, with the people that were within the area and the busy traffic, people with blue colar jobs always stopped by in order to get a little bit of a workout before they ended their day.
But Gabe felt like he would have liked the company today, so he called Tomoi to hit the gym with him.
In the meantime, Gabe would be waiting for Tomomi to show up, if he hopefully did.

| At the call to go to the gym, Tomomi was admittedly hesitant. He may do exercise such as martial arts, but, he wasn't often found at a place such as the gym. Still, if there was one thing people could say about Tomomi, it was his malleable nature; his worry about disapproval, and just generally not wanting to turn anyone down and disappoint them. So, at the call, Tomomi replied yes.
Sure enough, at the allotted time, the boy showed up, waving to the recognisable face of the mister Gabe guy. The boy had his signature jacket slung over his shoulder, and wore white trainers, black tracksuits, and a white t-shirt with no branding and several instances where it seemed the seams were shredded or about to fall apart. In his hand was a bag with what appeared to be a towel and a bottle of water - just a simple, translucent carrier bag from a shop. "Hi mister Gabe."

| It was about a 20-minute wait, but it didn't necessarily give too much of a bearing on Gabe. He was asking for companionship, more or less., this was being treated as a favor to have someone go to the gym with him. Of course, he could have asked any one of his employees or some other business person that Gabe has gotten acquainted with, but everything is seen as a test or something of a sort and having his guard up all the time was a bit stressful mentally. At least with Tomomi around, he didn't feel like he had to show him up or anything of the sort.
Once Tomomoi arrived, Gabe gave the younger a little wave as he pointed to the Gym entrance behind him.
"This way! I always could have brought someone with me, but I never knew who to ask. But I'm glad that you decided to come along, thanks!"
As Gabe led the way, he walked over to the kiosk station and swiped his keychain. On the screen, it said his name and the +1 status that he had. After that, he entered the Lockerroom to go and secure his things. The locks were fingerprint registered and Tomomoi could pick anyone he wanted.
"I figured this would be a change of pace from the usual workouts you had. Ever been to this place before?"

| As Tomomi followed Gabe into the gym, the boy looked around in a somewhat bewildered expression, trying his best to get his bearings. How the gym was so high tech was baffling, but, Tomomi was never one to go to gyms anyways; back in Japan he just never did, and here in America it was always something out of his budget. Seeing a place this high tech, and that Gabe could afford a membership that even came with a plus one without even having anyone specific in mind as the plus one... To Tomomi, it served as an emphasis of what a difference between their life styles there was. How did someone ever get to that point? Was Gabe just born into it? He was a gambler, so, it would not be surprising to the boy if Gabe got to where he was through luck.
Still, Tomomi followed and mimicked what Gabe did, putting his stuff in a locker and trying to lock it after multiple failed attempts. At the question, the boy shook his head. "Ah, no, sorry. I don't actually tend to go to the gym too often, or, well, at all, so... Y-yeah..."

| "Is that due to a choice or are you on a budget when it comes to working and maintaining a membership? If that's the case, I don't mind bringing you with me more often if it's the latter. Could be a nice change in pace when it comes to the numerous amount of things you can do to work out. "
Once Gabe was finished, he would take a small towel with him and had out to the elevator, signaling Tomomi to follow. Once they got in, Gabe would press the third floor.
"The first floor beside the lobby is where the pool is. The second floor is where them massaging complexes are and saunas. The third floor is basically the gym itself. "
Once they got up to the third floor and the door opened, Gabe would walk over and check one of the treadmills.
"How about a little bit of a warmup before we get started. Care for a job on one of these? We can set the incline high if you are looking for a challenge. "

| Listening to Gabe explain, Tomomi just nodded along, trying to keep up with what he was saying. The motion of the elevator was something the boy was unusually aware of at this moment, wondering how one could even live in such luxury... He almost completely forgot to answer Gabe's question, before shaking his head. "Ah, um, b-bit of both I guess?"
As they arrived to the gym section, Tomomi followed Gabe to the treadmills, tilting his head, before shrugging slightly. "I um... I-I'm fine with doing a bit of running as a warm up, but, um, a-as a warm up, it's better to do something like light jogging at most, or fast paced walking, as r-running is unnatural for the human body and can cause strain of the knees... S-so, um, i-if we are doing that first, we should probably start with walking i-if that makes sense?"

| "ooooph, I said Job. I'm always thinking about work, i'm trying to change that about myself actually. What I meant to say was Jog, I wonder if workaholicism is something that is diagnosable medically? Think I can use it to take a few days off?"
However, Tomomi had a point.
"I think it's best if i follow your lead then. As a matter of fact, lets use this as a way to explore what you would do to start off the day as a martial artist if you had access to such a facility. Believe it or not, even though my nights seem like a desk job, I work the floor and i'm always on the move. It's a lot more often than you think my friend. "
He said it to Tomomi with a wink as he started the treadmill at an ok walking pce at 1.5. The incline itself was standard so it was nothing too crazy.
"How's classes? Anything you having trouble with? Before you left last time, I forgot to mention the men's resource center you could check out. It offers alot, scholarship, tutoring, things of that nature, but the most important is fellowship. It's at the seven stars academy, brought me through some hard times. "

| Unsure about why Gabe winked, Tomomi tilted his head, before pressing a few buttons, and beginning to power walk. Despite the machine having rails at its side to hold onto, Tomomi instead moved his arms in a purposefully wide motion, which to any onlookers would appear strange, and probably not practical. Still, he personally found it helped with his back, arm muscles, and cardio by burning more energy. For a moment, he was focused entirely on the exercise, but then when Gabe posed the question, the boy turned his head, thinking slightly about the conversation he had with the principal Hughes recently, and his reports.
"Um... W-well, I guess overall I'm doing okay? A-although I'm not doing super good with History classes, so, um, that I guess counts as something I'm having trouble with... Although, um, resource sent her? Um... What's a resource, mister Gabe?" The boy asked, turning to face Gabe with a befuddled expression on his face.

| "Not good with history class? Well, I'm pretty sure that the thing about history is to find something about history or that particular section in time that really pulls your interest. Once you find something about it that you can relate to or even feel as if you can understand to a certain degree, I think that the investment within the class itself would increase and you would do a lot better. Some of the things become a bit hard, like the time I took art history. However, there are people who are willing to help."
Gabe then increased the speed just a little bit so he was walking just a bit faster.
"It's called a resource center. A Resource Center is a facility within a school, staffed by a specialist, containing several information sources. The purpose of a resource center is to advance the learning experience of students and teachers in any educational sector. The men's resource center is not a sorority, but an academic program that is geared towards guys like us. To offer us like tool and mentors, internships, externships...things of the sort. I feel like they could really help you. "

| Not once increasing pace, and keeping at his power walking, Tomomi tilted his head at what Gabe spoke of. History getting his interest... But, if that were the case, then it would mean the subject was more of an elective right? Rather than the current case, of being required to learn about specific things. "Um... But, how could I look for something I would find interesting if the history classes are about, um, set in wood? Is that the saying? But, yeah, I uh, I don't know how to even look for a thing to be interested in, and it feels like the facts and stuff just don't stick?"
At Gabe's explanation of what a resource center was, Tomomi nodded a bit. That being said, through many of the technical terminology that Gabe was using, the boy had no idea what he actually said, just opting to listen, and pretend he did anyways. He could just Moogle Search the definition. Although that would require... "Hey, so, um, how is reee sauce spelled?"

| "History class that's set in wood? To be honest, you totally lost me there. It's either the history of wood in itself or paintings that are within wooden frames. You would need to elaborate a little more on the specifics if that's where the problems mostly stem from. However, I can definitely help you with other things. Something in common with... alright i'm still confused, but wood.... one second."
Gabe slowed down the walking speed so he can talk more.
"It could be the style of how the wood was shaped by the sculptor, could be the meaning or usefulness behind the item itself, even the person' life, their personal life and struggles being the reason for taking hold of an interest in regards to the piece. You know? But once again, no clue what you meant by wood."
Gabe found a bit oddd that Tomomoi was asking him that. He didn't know how resource was spelled?
"R-E-S-O-U-R-C-E , Resource. Some names escape me at times too, no worries."
He didn't want to ask about it, it was inappropriate. Besides, there were some things Gabe didn't know how to spell either.

| As Gabe misinterpreted what Tomomi said, the boy tilted his head, trying to keep up with what was going on, yet still not missing a step. His confusion grew quickly evident as Gabe continued on about the various types of wooden frames, personal life and struggles, sculpting, and generally a bunch of things Tomomi really did not understand. Still, he waited for Gabe to spell out resource for him, before deciding to speak up and try clarify what was going on.
"R-E-C-O-R-C-E. Got it. Thank you mister Gabe, although um... W-what are you talking about? History of wood, or paintings? Personal life and struggles? Um... I-I was just using the uh, what is it, saying? The one where it's to mean something that you can not change or decide, and it is a thing that cannot be moved or something. Set in wood is clearly not it... Um... Set in metal? Set in stone? S-something like that. I uh... S-sorry for being confusing..."

| "It's fine, I'm not going to criticize you, the fault could be that my approach wasn't a simple one and I ended up causing you to stress from having you think it over too much. For that, I do sincerely apologize. As a matter of fact, what I have noticed about you is your willingness to put up with my shenanigans, it takes a while for me to notice my ongoing tangents, but I dislike inconveniencing my friends. So for that Tomomi, I really do appreciate you. "
Besides that, how can Gabe clear this up?
"So history classes being set in stone because things already happened. There is a saying that those who neglect the past are doomed to repeat the same mistakes. Looking back at things that happened years ago is akin to our current progression, or they create a continuous web of chains that connect to what's going on today. For instance, what is one of your instances, maybe I can connect that to a person of the past? I mean, i'm no history buff, it would be off the top of my head. "

| At Gabe's attempt to explain the miscommunication and apology, Tomomi's head kept lopsided, trying to understand. Still, at Gabe's mild self deprecation, Tomomi shook his head, offering the older guy a smile. "No need to worry mister Gabe! Your shennigans aren't a problem." He declared, nodding, before slowing down his machine, listening to Gabe continue as he did.
"I don't think that is what the problem is, or what the point of the history is? And I mean, it is a bit hard to find what to relate to when I'm from Japan, and the history is a lot based on American history, like wars and founding. So, it is not something I can really relate my history to, if that makes sense? A-although, that isn't to say I'm not American now! I'm definitely an American!" He declared, before stepping off the treadmill.
"A-anyways, it might be best to move on to a different thingy. Repetition can sometimes cause more harm than good, and it would suck to use all stamina on one machine. At least, I think. What about some rowing machiney things, like those over there? They can be pretty good for like, central body."

| "The point of history? Well, I can only speak from my opinion and personal circumstances. I feel that we can relate to anything. Sometimes it takes a bit of effort in order to truly look into the past and see how it connects with the presence. For instance, how was terrorism looked at back in the past? No one definition of terrorism has gained universal acceptance, it was based upon violence that was politically motivated. How did we handle it? What was the cause? Did we bring about any actions to create such an event? These questions are important, cuz now, the very definition of terrorism is the distinction towards people with gifts. Nothing I can truly understand, so don't ask me about that. However, that can transcend towards a discriminatory pretext against a certain group of people who are different from others. How we approach that is... a sticky subject. But nevertheless, it has to do with both our present and future of how we handle and approach things. "
Moving on.
"Oh, the row! It's more of a full body workout, I think that's more your style. Good thing you referred it. "
Stopping the treadmill, Gabe felt a bit warmed up as he moved towards the rowing machine. He took a seat and waited for Tomomi first.
