How dare they!....(Cecil)

He really, really wanted to roll his eyes. He almost did. Jasmine was a flavour of ridiculous he was little equipped to comprehend, an enigma in haughtiness and arrogance. "Of course...I should have understood such from the circumstances of our meeting." Namely, her failing to get a job she was in need of and being direly frustrated by the very fact.
Easy to understand the circumstances of an average person's life when they were the circumstances of your own life, don't you think?

"Very well. Allow me to show you the way. Just be aware that the area we are headed to is prone to a great deal of noise." Readjusting his posture to befit the look in motion of the act he was portraying, he nods to Jasmine and turns, leading the way at a carefully measured pace with his arms folded behind him.
The two would end up at a small selection of food stalls by the concert halls as yet another idol concert echoed in the distance, all patently unhealthy by the sheer nature of what they were, but priced competitively and emanating a scent carefully engineer to tempt and stir the hunger of all those in the area. Pivoting on the spot, Cecil carefully maintains a straight face as he looks to Jasmine. "We have arrived, milady. Doth anything here capture your eye?"

"Oh don't worry about that!" Jasmine smiled still blissfully unaware of Cecil's snark or...perhaps she was merely pretending to be? Nope she was genuinely that socially dense and unaware but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing! Jasmine was unaware of her faults but she was also great at looking over others because of it! This was because Jasmine had been raised in a rather sheltered environment wasn't it? Yes, yes it was.

Jasmine followed her loyal and faithful, as all should be, subject through the streets of Endymion until finally...she came to a simply wondrous place. The variety of foods, the throng of people and the vast array of succulent scents assaulting Jasmine's nose made her heart beat twice as fast...well metaphorically anyway. She turned to Cecil and quirked an eyebrow upwards at him.

"Doth? Do not feel as if you have to correct your speech on my behalf! Simply speak directly and politely!" In truth? Jasmine didn't want her future subject to feel as if they had to artificially force their speech to conform to some silly requirements! Jasmine's followers only needed to follow her commands, never betray her and always be trustworthy...! Yes that was easy for everyone to do right? That was tangential to the current situation! Food was today's objective!

"Hmm...I am unsure.....rejoice in my compassion Cecil! For today I was allow you to make suggestions and decide for me!" Jasmine genuinely thought it was a act of compassion that she was giving Cecil the right to choose didn't she?...

As he leads the way, Cecil finds himself taking more amusement in the situation than he initially would have expected. Once you got over some of the more frustrating aspects of the sheer ego she demonstrated, the sheer obliviousness and cartoonish self-assurance of the girl was almost hilarious. It was like talking a child.

A small smirk briefly comes to Cecil's features as Jasmine comments on the way he was currently speaking. "I know not of what you speak, milady. 'Tis simply an aspect of the part." He nods to Jasmine. "Now if you will give a moment, I shall have food for you shortly."
Arms remaining folded neatly behind him, he approaches one of the stalls and casually orders a couple of burgers as he usually would, without a hint of the speech patterns he'd put on to talk to Jasmine. As he pays and takes his order, he comes back and offers one out to Jasmine. "Your food, milady."

It wouldn't pass for anything less than artery-clogging, but it had a taste and a smell that would make a ravenous beast out of any passerby.

"....Do not mock me cur. I command you to stop." Now Jasmine was angry. Cecil's irritating choice of language was pointless, out dated and quite frankly utterly moronic. Jasmine was Cecil's one and future ruler by right. He should show the proper respect due or face a suitable punishment! Yes...Jasmine knew exactly what punishment would be suitable for this oh so very impudent dog. He would be serving as a foot rest.

"Hmp. This is what you offer? You think such fatty food will satisfy me? Get on your hands and knees dog. You need disciplining for your blatant mockery." Jasmine did take the food but simply placed it down to the side, scowling impassively at Cecil. She really was not happy with how he was flouting her commands and mocking her. His choice of food was sadly lacking... Fatty and undoubtedly unhealthy...but perhaps indulging in such peasant food would be an interesting experience.

Cecil smiles brightly and widely. "No." He digs one hand into his pocket as he looks down to Jasmine, dropping the act altogether. "Even if you are an heiress - and if we're being honest, things can't be going that well if you're as badly in need of work as it sounded when you were yelling at the place that rejected your application - people usually aren't just gonna take it when you try to lord it over them. This isn't feudal times, even if you try to talk and act like it is. Though...I guess it's the same in that the only reason they'd put up with stuff like this is a lack of self value or confidence, or threats hanging over their head."

Cecil seats himself down, and unwraps his burger. "People are going to treat you with about as much respect as you give them. And the way you're acting makes a terrible impression no matter who you are." He shrugs as he takes a bite of his burger. Fatty as the food was, he couldn't say it wasn't nice.
He swallows down the piece before speaking again. "Don't have to eat that if you don't want to, but you're not going to find anything that's much better around here. I did warn you."

"W-what...?!" Jasmine was flabbergasted and rendered speechless by Cecil's sudden abandonment of the facade. Had he always just been humoring her....? That insolent dog...! It wasn't her fault she was in such dire straits financially! The government took everything from her all because she had the audacity to get kidnapped and locked away to be a test subject for experiments for years!

"Yo-you......!....F-FINE! I'll be merciful and let you off today! But only because you at least attempted to make an offering...!" Yes that was it! She'd let Cecil off and show him her MERCY something he should definitely be grateful for! Yes that would be fine....! To show her mercy further Jasmine decided she would graciously except the food offered grabbed the burger and after a few moments of staring at it would begin to eat daintily. It wasn't bad....but it wasn't perfect either!

Cecil smiles wryly at Jasmine's reply, content to simply keep eating as she sputtered away at his reply. She really did seem like an indignant little kid just then.
The silence held as they ate, Cecil simply enjoying his food. He finished a good while before Jasmine did, waiting patiently for Jasmine as she made her own progress with her food. She was...an interesting one, for certain. Not to say he hadn't met strange people before - he had, and in some cases he'd rather not have - but she definitely stood out as unique in her own way. It was nice not to constantly be the one freaking out over the other in one of these situations...it was a welcome break from what he was usually dealing with.
As Jasmine finished up, he looked over to her with that same wry smile. "So, how was it, then?"
