More newcomers? [Gabe/Steele]

With the influx of new visitors entering the platinum playhouse, Gabe was more and more determined to show up at night and at least be the one that would serve as a guiding hand for the individuals that decided to find themselves there. Nothing was happening for the moment, but it didn't make Gabe any less motivated to sit around and tend to the bar.

"Well, I would hopefully be able to make the experience more inviting with my presence. "

Nightingale. It was Nightingale when she was in this guise. In order to avoid a fiasco like last time, Nadia had repressed her nightly transformation in favor of mundane clothes for this venture. She probably shouldn't be coming her without Cecil her first time...but it was exciting and she couldn't resist. She wanted to know more about this Platinum Playhouse. And somehow...she thought she'd be able to find it.

Her feet took her to the backlight, and even as darkness fell and the world shifted, she knew she was on the right track. When she ventured down away from prying eyes, she checked her peripherals, and allowed herself to change. After all, it was important that none of the other terrorists knew who she was during the day. She was fidgeting with the feathers of her mask as she entered, looking around. It had been easier to find this place than she expected. Was that safe? but then...she supposed she just sort of...knew. Was it something to do with the mysterious man? How interesting.

But for now, as she entered the lobby of the place, there was a man she hadn't bet behind the counter. Nightingale approached the counter directly, watching the man with curious eyes. "Is there were the Terrorists come to play?" She asked with a small curve to her lips.

"Play what? Cards?"

After Gabe finished shuffling for a while, he would put his deck of cards away and walk on over to the new terrorist that entered. At the very least, he figured that with the number of people that were awakening each and every time, there was a good chance that they could make up for the deficit of how many individuals were with the government and skelker. With some training, he would hope that they would be able to carry on, with or without him.

"I'm Shotaro, welcome to the platinum playhouse. It's just me for the time being, but I think i'm more than enough to suffice for any and all questions you may have. Did you awaken on your own? Was it rough? Or did you have some help?"

Nightingale leaned forward on the bar, looking toward the person that walked up to her. She did have questions. But which to ask first. She had to make sure she stayed in "Character" as well, as she asked them. This...was kind of fun. It was like acting, but with higher stakes. "I awakened with a man called The Revenant. He's a pretty strong guy." Nightingale replied, looking a little wistful. "Actually...he made it look pretty easy. Afterwards, a strange man appeared and told me to come find this place...so I did. It seemed like an interesting place. Tell me...the stuff that was broadcast about the government...is it all true?"

The question was largely rhetorical, meant more to affirm that Nightingale had some inkling of what she was getting herself into, regardless of the danger, and her own amateur status. It wasn't lost on her, as she watched this other man, that becoming a Psyche Terrorist, joining the playhouse, would brand her a criminal in every sense of the word. She would have to tread lightly when it came to the Cadets who she would like to call friends in the future, and could mean her life. But, fear was the enemy of new experiences, and she wasn't about to let that fear stop her from finding out what this new part of her was capable of.

"Oh, Revenant, I know him. He's a reoccurring and prominent member of the playhouse, was a part of the team that actually took down superbia, so that's a good reference if he was there to help you out. "

After giving an acknowledging nod, Gabe would start to check the bar in order to see what was left over, or if there was anything finishing up that he could use in order to make a quick drink for the newbie. Soda was also an alternative choice, but Gabe wanted to see if he could be fancy at first.

"Strange mankind of sounds like the man in white, still have no clue who he is. PRobably an enigma that shares the same goals of putting the government's nefarious deeds away. However, he played a big role in me and a few others awakening to the truth as well, simply seeing how wicked those people are, and how the demons were never truly gone. "

Stopping for a while, Gabe would turn to her.

"It's all true, all of it.  It sounds naive to a degree maybe,  but like I said with the open invitation, this is a shared journey where each of us comes to our own conclusion about what's really going on, while supporting each other along the way.  I want you to believe what you believe, with all of the facts and truths on the table, not just what you see. "

Nightingale listened. So, Cecil was important to the playhouse. How interesting. It was hard to imagine bashful, self-loathing Cecil fighting demons in armor. And yet, she'd seen it with her own eyes. It was probably just as hard to believe that a small, frail artist with a love for the macabre was able to sling such spells as well, however. Their other selves were truly set apart. It was exciting.

This man, Shotaro, was also visited by the enigmatic rogue, as well as others. so, the man played a roll, but didn't seem to be an actual member of the playhouse. That was interesting, considering he invited her himself.

When he told her it was all true, even though she was expecting that reaction, it somehow struck home ago just where she was and what she was doing. She nodded to the man, propping her chin on her hand. "Thank you for such an informative welcome." She said smoothly, with a playful curve to her lips. "I'd certainly be interested in joining in. I don't know if I can say that I particularly want to tear down the government. I haven't seen enough of this corruption for myself yet, but I want to test this power, and it'd be best to be with allies when I do. The night of my "awakening" would likely have been very different without help."

"By the way, larsinny isn't here so i'm breaking a little bit of a rule, but perhaps hi could get you a small refreshment? I'm sure he won't be too mad if I pay for the drink myself, but I figured that your first night in the playhouse might as well be a memorable one. "

Depending on how she answered, Gabe would get the drink if it was simple. If it took time, Gabe would probably start to mix the drink himself.

"Well, these things take time, the more you go at it, the more your eyes will start to open up to what the government is doing. For example, superbia, controlling the media news outlets and covering up anything that was producing unbiased content. People who wanted to be actual journalists were never seen or heard from again, not even from their families."

Looking to her, Gabe would sigh.

"That's just the tip of the iceberg, Invidia promoted cannibalism among fellow idols and brain control tactics through his music. It wasn't good....these are the people left in charge by the government, they all are insane i'm starting to believe."

Nightingale thought about a drink, and wasn't sure what to ask for. So they had a bar here. And...he wouldn't question her age either, would he? Afterall, she could be anyone. Hmmm... "I don't know... Surprise me!" She replied inquisitively.

As he poured the drink, she would listen to what he said, and a dour look came across the parts of her face that could be seen. Controlling the Media? well, that made sense. And...Cannibalism? Really? The thought brought a churning sensation to her stomach. She was ready for that drink now.

"I...I had no idea things like that were going on. That's..." She laughed a little bit. "I suppose you must get that a lot. Was Revenent there...? To help with those things?" She added on. Cecil...How long had he had to deal with these kinds of things? It was amazing to think timid Cecil was toppling District Leaders. But somehow...she admired him for it.

Since Gabe wasn't sure about the age of the girl, as well as she not necessarily telling him that she specifically wanted an alcoholic beverage, Gabe decided to be mindful of her probable tastes and pick something non-alcoholic to make. However, he wanted to make a good showing of it at the very least. Reaching on over to the fridge and getting some ice, Gabe would also reach for small pineapple chunks and mix it with the ice, resting it in the blender. He also grabbed some coconut milk and pineapple juice as well.

"He is a reliable guy. I'll be honest with you though, i don't think he has a lot of faith in me or likes me too much. But in the sense of ability and good intentions, he is definitely a guy you would want to be around. So in any case, i guess that makes you very lucky, hard to find good friends in situations like this, being labeled as a terrorist and all for trying to do the right thing. "

After adding a bit of brown sugar and blending the mix, Gabe chilled he mason jug by adding some crushed ice before pouring the pina colada inside, then topped it off with a cherry and a straw before handing it over.

"I didn't know if you would like it or not, but I wanted to make something special to welcome you with. It's a pina colada, no alcohol though..."

Nightingale excitedly examined the drink that was presented to her. "Thank you! It's probably best not to Terrorize under the influence, huh?" she joked as she tried the drink. It was sweet and cool and wonderful, causing her to elicit an audible. "Mmm"

She thought about the possibility of Cecil not liking this person, and somehow couldn't see Cecil not liking anyone. "I've spent a little bit of time with Revie, and I dunno if I have ever seen him not like someone. Though he can push people away sometimes. I think it's more him than you, though, if that's the case. But I could be wrong! I haven't known him for that long, afterall."

She took another sip from the drink. "This is delicious! And you made it look so easy. Do you do this kind of thing during the day too? Are some kind of Vigilante Barista?" she giggled. Being Nightingale was fun.

"Hahah, I see you are quite good with the jokes. It;'s good, not necessarily to make light of the situation or anything like that, but being able to laugh and smile at times. I think it's important to remember how to do that, even in the worst of situations. You know? Good to maintain the persona who you are at night, but don't necessarily forget the other qualities that you possess, the things that makes you genuine. What I like to look at is the fact that we were all once just regular people, maybe a few different backgrounds, some more than others."

As for the possible odds that Gabe had with Revenant and Nadia's comment on them, Gabe would just shrug.

"I guess time will tell on whether you are right or not. I .like to be transparent about the possible problems and issues that the group might face.  So in any event, I'm not really trying to hide anything. "

Moving on, Gabe only laughed at the idea of being a barista. He had some skills that he had to keep private, but that was only because of his day job.

"As long as you understand the ingredients of how things are supposed to work, I would figure that anyone is capable of doing the same thing, even you."

Nightingale listened to his words. It was a good perspective. To remember that, without powers, they were all just people. Even their enemies, the Cadets, were just people. A few of them were even counted among Nadia's acquaintances. Remembering that might make them harder to fight, but it was worthier to remember their virtues, wasn't it? Nightingale contemplated these things while the man talked.

"Oh, even me?" Nightingale chimed to his inclusive statement of being able to make the drink. She pushed herself up from the stool to sit on the table, kicking her leg as she sipped the drink. "Do you think you could teach me?" She asked whimsically. "Maybe I could work here some nights when I'm feeling extra terrorist-y." She giggled again, sipping the sweet drink.

"Teach you? Well, that's not the only thing i'm going to teach you.  I'm also going to teach you how to survive these nights in one piece, as well as working with comrades. In some cases, if your bond is strong enough, you can even have your persona's cooperate and perform an entirely new skill. There is plenty of benefits under getting along and working together."

With Gabe getting the previous ingredients, he would smile at Nightengale.

"Alright, drink making... hell of  a first lesson, but here we go. "
