What Wonders Hide (NPC Thread For Julliath)

At the back of the School Yard was an area that seemingly didn't get tended much by the gardeners, whether it was because it was too far out of the way and no one used the space or if they were just lazy was hard to tell. Though places like these were some of a young girls favourites. There was always so many cute and unique creatures crawling through the long grass if you spent the time to sit and watch. Which was exactly what Izzy had found herself doing this day.

Sitting in the long grass, the girl would be creating a strange chirp like whilst as she peacefully stroked her own tail with her left hand. It didn't take long before her desired result was apparent, she'd keep up her soothing chirp as a long multicoloured centipede like insect showed interest and began crawling up the girls right arm. The insect had hundreds if not thousands of little legs and its outter shell seemed to gleam in the sunlight. She'd giggle happily as it did so, watching it crawl with calm and interested eyes. "Lil' one, lil' one, who's colours sparkle and shine. Would you share your name with me if only I told you mine?"

The Yard was home to a new creature today, a creature that hadn't been seen around these parts before but happened to be scurrying about the place. It seemed to be a small green blob, attached to another small green blob by a small piece of string of sorts. The two balls slowly rolled around the yard, stopping here and there, doing whatever a green orb would do in their daily life. Then again, what did a green orb do? The orbs mostly remained in the grass, staying quite well hidden due to their color until something got their attention.

They heard a strange sound coming from the other side of the yard. As they rolled they made soft rustling sounds in the grass, a rustling that would become slightly louder with every second. Finally they noticed what was making the sounds, it was a young girl sitting in the grass. The balls slowly rolled even closer until they were just within sight of the girl. They just stayed there, not moving but just, observing. The sound she made seemed to have not only attracted the creature she wanted, but also a second one. A curious creature drawn out by curious noises.

The young girl would lean in, tilting her head to one side just above where the centipede scurried. She'd close her eyes and smile gently before nodding her head. "Trunta?" The girl would giggle as the small insect ran in a circle from the mention of the word. "It is a pleasure to meet you, my name is Izzy. An-huh?" One of Izzy's big dog like ears would suddenly perk up which seemed to make the girl jump a little, the ear would turn at first in the wrong direction before turning back to narrow in on the rustling sound it had caught.


Izzy would spin round to look in the direction of the noise but at first, she couldn't see anything? It must be some kind of small creature, like a rabbit maybe? To make all that rustling but still not be seen in the grass like that. Though what did show its face took the young splicer a little by surprise.

The centipede would quickly scatter up onto the girls shoulder as she reached a hand passively forward, leaving it in a docile position half way between where she sat and where the creature now was. There was never a need to force a creature to do something it didn't want to, so she'd let it decide if she was allowed to touch it or not. "Hello mysterious one who's appearance has suddenly sprung. Were you too called over to me by the song that I had sung?" Her words were calming and tranquil, almost feeling hypnotic to the small slime that had revealed itself. Izzy would smile warmly as she looked the thing over and waited to see what it'd do.

The orb remained motionless as the girl looked around to find whatever was making the rustling noise. She soon seemed to notice the orbs in the grass as she slowly extended her hand towards them. The orbs remained where they were for a short while longer before slowly rolling towards her hand. The orb gently bumped against her hand and gently rolled backwards again.

After a short while again it gently rolled forward again, bumping against her hand yet again. Though this time, she remained laying against her hand for a while before suddenly hopping on top of her hand. As she jumped she could notice the other orb just flailing about, almost as if it wasn't a living being like the other orb.

The orb itself wasn't all too heavy, about the weight of a football. It felt slightly moist and a little squishy yet quite firm. It seemed to be slightly transparent, but only a little bit. It jiggled about a little while laying in her palm, a very soft sound could be heard coming from the orb. If one were to listen closely it almost resembled a soft, female giggle. A giggle? How could an orb like this giggle without a mouth? Then again, how could an orb like this live at all.

A moment of silence went by before a very, very soft voice could be heard coming from the green orb. "Curious" It was just a single word, but a single word could say a lot in the right situation.

With gentle, curious eyes. Izzy would simply watch the display that the little green creature performed, she wasn't surprised in the least that it was being cautious. If anything she'd be worried if they were too friendly, in some ways that could lead to them getting themselves in danger a lot easier. The young girl would smile contently as the blob tapped against her hand for a moment before backing off, the weird rainbow centipede now crawling along her neck stopping in a way as if it was looking down at the strange goings on as well. "There's no need to be afraid." Izzy would practically whisper in a high pitched tone as unexpectedly the green blob hopped up into her palm.

As she slowly brought her hand back towards herself to hold it in a more comfortable position, she couldn't help but giggle at the oddity that was sitting in her grasp. She'd tilt her head slowly whilst trying her hardest to not throw her tail around, as to make sure not to make any sudden movements to scare the thing as she swore she could hear it laugh back in return before her ears would flick as they definitely caught the sound of a word. "Tehe, curious was just the word I was thinking of as well." She'd reply softly, clearly not all that phased by the fact the thing could speak before looking down toward her centipede friend. "Trunta, don't be mean to our new guest. I personally think they're very cute and squishy." This would seemingly come out from nowhere as if the girl was talking to herself before returning her attention to the blob with a sparkle in her eye. "Lil' one, lil' one who's such a cute tiny slime, what has fate in store for us that we should meet at this time?"

The orb remained in the palm of her hand, jiggling lightly for a while longer before two eyes shot open on the orb. The eyes were small, black circles with a light glowing + sign as a pupil in each eye. The small pair of eyes curiously looked up at the girl that was holding her, blinking every so often. The orb then looked at the centipede that was crawling around before looking back at the girl.

"Got lost, ended up here. Nice place, heard strange noise, came looking, found you." The blob didn't seem to be able to speak properly but she was able to make herself clear enough, or so she hoped. A small mouth appeared below the eyes, a mouth with an almost cat like smile. The blob kind of looked like a face now, a small, green and slimy face, but still a face.

"Name Julie, live in forest. Went explore, got lost. Place looks like forest, less tree, very green. Smaller than forest, cozy." As she spoke the slime turned around a little in the palm of her hand as she was looking around the place. Her speech was, broken and incomplete as if she had just started to learn the language.

Being careful to not make any sudden movements, the girl would slowly readjust herself to be sitting cross legged in the grass to rest her hand she was holding the orb in on her lap. She'd listen quite intently, curious of what the strange being had to say. Especially when she realised it was actually talking. "Oh!" She'd begin sounding slightly surprised before calming herself down again. "Aww, you poor thing. How long have you been lost?" The concerned girl would ask in a calm and caring tone, lightly patting the top of the blob with her free hand. "Hehe, so you were called over by my song too? Perhaps it was destined to be this way after all, so that I could help you get back to your home? Tell me little one, where do you call home? I'd be delighted to help you get back there if you wish me to."

As she spoke, the multi-hued centipede would make its way along the young girls arm towards the blob, stopping every few paces to perk its head up and stare down at the blob curiously before gaining the confidence to go another couple inches until it was next to the blob. It would run around in a circle briefly seemingly unsure if it wanted to stay near the blob or not, though for the moment it would stay where it had ventured to.

The girl would nod, a warming smile on her face. "Hehe, Julie. That's a really cute name. Mine's Izzy. It is a pleasure to meet you." Izzy would take the blobs next words into consideration before thinking over exactly how Julie was feeling. They didn't sound to distressed about being lost, so that was a good thing at least. Plus if they went exploring themselves, then they probably are okay with finding a place as peaceful as this. "This area is kind of like a forest, isn't it? I really love this area, not many people come round here so its always peaceful and filled with such wonderful wildlife. I'm glad you like it too. Though if you were looking for a forest, you don't happen to be from the forest biodome? You're a long way from home if so."

The blob giggled softly and squished a little as she gave it soft pats on the head. She seemed to be liking her attention and didn't see the need to move anytime soon. She looked over to her arm where she noticed the small centipede waddling around right next to her. She smiled lightly at the creature, not seeming distressed by it at all. "Hey there."

She looked back at the girl as she spoke again, nodding lightly. "Izzy, will remember." She jiggled a little in her hand before bouncing with a light smile on her face. "Dome, forest dome! Julie home!" A long way from home? Did she really go exploring that far? She didn't seem to realise the distance she had travelled between her home and here, then again she didn't really seem to mind either. "Julie live in forest dome, that Julie remember. Is really far? Felt close. See a lot of things on the way."

She seemed quite alright with her exploration trip, happy with the results she got from it. "Julie like forest. Julie like other places too, like here. Like calm and green, this place both." She bounced about for a bit, until she accidentally bounced away from her hand. She let out a loud "Meep!" before falling to the ground with a soft squish.

She looked like a pancake for a minute before she quickly regained her shape, although she looked a little different. She changed back into her normal form, now being 1m tall instead of just a small 10cm ball. "Oof, Julie need be careful." She let out a soft giggle before looking back at the girl, her happy smile still on her now slightly larger face.

Izzy would smile warmly as she listened to Julie's words and would nod along in agreement to most of it. She was still a little confused and worried how a creature so small could of gotten so far away from home on their own. Though with how the thing bounced about happily, it seemed it was okay so there was no massive need for concern. "Oh! Are you okay?" The spike of concern in the girls voice from how she usually talked sounded weird as she stared down at the now pancaked green blob on the ground. Though she was relieved when Julie quickly began to retake her shape... Though a lot bigger this time.

"Woah. You're able to change your size? That's really interesting!" Izzy would call out excitedly, her spliced tail drifting back and forth behind her. Where did all that extra mass come from though? Unless the blob was simply really dense when small and could expand out her density to a larger shape instead? Hmm... Though for now the girl would smile back at Julie "Yes you do need to be careful. Hehe. Now then, did you need help getting back home? I don't believe you answered my offer before. We don't have to leave straight away if you don't want to."

"Julie slime. Julie be any form she likes!" Just to prove her point she shifted into a cube, A pyramid and a few other shapes. The small orb attached to her body always portruding somewhere from the shape. There was something she could notice, as soon as Julie became bigger, her body became more transparent. When she was smaller, her body seemed more dense and less easy to see through.

"Julie can even...." Very slowly she started to morph. First it just looked like a rough sketch of a human being but as time went on she slowly started to look more and more like Izzy. After a short while longer an exact copy of Izzy was standing in front of her. Although, exact? She was still green and see through and her eyes still had her strange look. But besides from that she looked exactly like Izzy, tail and ears included. "...do this!"

She held the small blob attached to her body in her hands and gently caressed it, almost as if it was a small pet she was holding. "Julie change into anything she want. Anything." She tilted her head lightly and nodded a little. "Help, yes. Julie don't remember way back home. Need help getting back. This place nice, sure to visit other time."

A look of amusement would quickly turn to one of disbelief as Julie began to change her form in front of her. It was truly a sight to behold to literally watch a creature that but a moment ago was so small and resting in her very grasp change itself to become so big and to even... "Woah..." The girl was practically at a loss for words, though she would reach out towards Julie once her transformation was complete. Holding one of her hands gently between both of her own. "Julie that's such a cool thing to be able to do! It would be lying if I didn't say I was completely jealous of you for being able to do something as spectacular as this. Are you able to literally take on any shape?" Izzy would question curiously with wide, child like inspired eyes. She... Almost wondered if... Maybe...

"Huh?" The splicer would be shook back to reality and away from her daydreams and would nod towards Julie. "So you really can become anything? That's so awesome!" There was a bright and beaming smile on the girls face, though unlike the one from before. This one had wonder and excitement attached to it rather than just friendliness. "And of course, feel free to come back anytime. I come here most Monday afternoons after my classes if you ever wanted to find me here again." Izzy would add with a giggle, her spliced tail happily wagging along with her excitement the whole time. "But yes, of course. I'll help you back home, I even know a shortcut to the forest from here. I go there often too, I'm fairly sure this is one of the fastest paths to get from here to there."

She let out a soft giggle as Izzy reached out and gently grabbed her hand in hers. "Julie can be anything. Really anything. Just tell and Julie will show!" She seemed rather excited herself about her ability, or she was just excited that she could show it off and make someone happy by showing it to them. Julie thought for a second before she nodded lightly. "Monday, will remember. Will visit more!" The slime seemed to have taken a liking into the girl, curious to know more about her and show more about herself to her.

Her body jiggled slightly as she jumped up into the air a little. "Right, Julie needs go home too. Will remember path, get back here quickly. Will visit soon, promise!" She gently grabbed one of Izzy's hands that was still holding hers. She gently squeezed it with a light smile on her face as she looked up at her. "Izzy nice. Julie like Izzy. Be sure to come back." She slowly let go of her hand and gave her another slight nod. "Think time for Julie to go home now. Forest waiting for me, wants me back too." She almost spoke like the forest was a living thing, which to a certain extent it was. "Will definetly come back. Promise."

Could Julie truly become anything like she claimed? Even things she had never seen before? Not just copy what she saw in front of her but truly design her own being over and over again...? Was there any limit as to how big she could expand herself or... Heh. Izzy would shake her head lightly, honestly she was extremely jealous of this. It must be so much fun to be able to change so freely like that to fit your mood. Though for now, Izzy would think about what she'd want to see Julie try to become. "Hmm... How about a cute little puppy dog?" The girl would eventually think of with a light chuckle. It wasn't the most creative idea that ran through her head, though it was one she really wanted to see. "That way too it'll be easier for me to carry you back home, hehe. Unless you want to walk alongside me."

The girl would nod and take a few skipping steps off across the field. "Izzy likes you too. I'm glad you wish to come spend another day with me in the future~!" The girl would hum, turning back to Julie and beckoning her to follow. "Come on~! Your homes this way, it wont take us too long to get there as long as you can keep up!"
