Mosey In [Infinte Jest Mission]

In their current spot, they would turn slightly to face heir companion as he spoke, the words causing the face underneath that Frankenstein's monster like mask of animals to grin in delight as they chuckled and bowed to the other in response. “It is our pleasure to serve,” they would say their voice so neutral that it could’ve belonged to a male or female confirming nothing about them except that they seemed to be enjoying themselves now and their current company. That aside though, they would refocus on their task as they were given a choice between a curtained off area and a pile of discarded things to the side. What they had come for was in one of these options. Question was which one? Hmmm....

While the scraps seemed like something fun to rummage through, they highly doubted that what they sought would be hidden there, so that left only one option didn’t it? And won’t you look at that. It seemed their companion was on the same page too. Good.

Giving a nod to the other, they would follow him to the curtain off area and to the door behind those curtains that was locked. Their eyes would eye the lock before focusing on their companion who spoke and made actions that had them kind of confused. Tilting their head curiously at the other, they would watch as the other picked an item that appeared to be a lockpick from the floor. How convenient….had someone dropped it there or what? That curiosity as side though, they would watch with growing curiosity as the other easily picked the lock on the door giving them access to next area. To the question posed, they would shake their head with a chuckle of amusement. “It would be sad to do all this work for nothing,” they would say as they followed the other quietly into the security room and after a quick look around to the computer that looked like it might give them what they sought.

Moving to the side, they would let their companion work as they instead kept a watch just in case something happened where they needed to bail. It would seem that their partner was impressive both with locks and computers as the other got into the system easily enough and from there? Well it was like taking candy from a baby.

“Nice,” Was the compliment they would give before following the other out of the room and back to the area they had come from. It was time to go home, but to do that they needed to go back the way they came, didn't they? Hopefully the watchers would stay down and their back tracking would be trouble free. Halting when their companion stopped them, they would listen to the sounds of shuffling that had once more grown near.  Being quiet, they would take lead again pressing themselves against the wall to peek around the corner to make sure that the watcher down the hallway had its back turned. With that confirmed, they would look back at their partner and signal it was time to go. Unlike before though, they were not as slow crossing the hallway and making their way back the way they had come in a quiet yet quick fashion.

Action:

Their movement would lead them to a hall where they would take the chance to pause for a small rest. The rest was somewhat to recover from the dash, but it was mostly a pause to see if their companion had kept up. It would be sad if they had gotten left behind, even more so since they were considering perhaps liking this strange one. The guy certainly had some skills that were useful and while talkative their companion amused rather than annoyed them. The odds rested in this wax man’s favor, so for the time being they would decide this one was okay and who knew? Maybe working with this one again wouldn’t be bad idea. At least things got done and in a efficient manner when this one was working with them. Mmm. Yes. This one might come in handy for future things. They would have to see how right or wrong they were in time, but for now they would make a mental note of this matter to themselves for later poking at.

Those thoughts aside, it would appear that rest time was over for themselves and their companion. Making sure that they and the other were on the same page, they would gather their energy again and then take off once more down. They would travel down the hallway and into the room where the strange statue stood watching the world and them as they passed by. They would continue down their path entering another hallway and taking the familiar turns until finally coming to a rest once more.  Unlike before this time around, they were a bit more winded the two dashes taking a bit of a toll on them, but that was okay. From the looks of things they would soon be scotch free.

Turning to look back towards their partner, they would wait for him to catch up before signalling with a soft chuckle and a point that they were nearing their exit. “Almost,” they would say before becoming quiet again as they took the moment to breath. They didn’t think this was an issue considering that the watchers hadn’t woken back up...or if they did they certainly weren’t on the prowl for them. As exciting as this was, they would not underestimate their situation. Even with the exit being in reach, things could turn sour at any moment. No they could only relax when the job was completed fully.

Action:

With their breath caught again, they would gesture to their companion easily enough as they moved across the short distance needed to get back to the spot they had entered the place from. Slipping out quietly with their companion in tow, they would pull out their phone and with a few taps of the icons displayed, they would find what was needed to report the job was done.

The deed has been done. Just as they escaped the realm and returned back to the outside, questions were asked and hurried suits moved about in the House of Cards. Numbers swarmed around trying to look around the area, but in vain. As the members of insanity left safely and unnoticed, the icons they tapped on gave them a rewarding announcement from their screens.
