The jump! The jump! Cried the crowds and festivities that were happening about the Top Ward. The jump! The jump! Cried the people who flooded out to see it from their homes in the various portions of Junction. The jump! The jump! It was suppose to be something to celebrate about and while the trio had joined the fun for a brief time, the three demons wold soon retire back to their home- an abandoned theater within the commercial district- a few hours before the jump. B was complaining of a headache so she turned in early and then about 30 minutes later Sinclair complained of similar symptoms and went to bed himself, leaving Devi the only one awake. Strange thing was, unlike the other two he did not suffer from headaches and sleepiness. No instead he was suffering from a very rare case of anxiety attack, but why he could not put his foot on.
Sitting on the roof of the abandoned building, dark eyes would turn to the red sky above as a frown planted itself on his face. He had thought by coming outside, he would calm down, but somehow being out here only made the anxiety grow and shift into dread. It agitated him to no end because there was no reason to be wound up and yet tonight he was. Why? He couldn’t figure it out and wouldn’t figure it out even when the countdown for the jump began. As the numbers were counted off, the dread grew and grew. The dread got so bad that by the time it hit 5 the demon was back on his feet and on his way back inside, but stopped as a commotion from below caught his attention.
Drifting back to the edge of the building, he would see a couple of teens down below probably just hanging about because they thought no one was in this part of town. However, unlike usual the demon did not just brush them off as he watched them move down the pathways for a bit before one got violently sick and then fell to the ground twitching...and shifting as his friends watched in horror. Staying frozen to his spot, Devi watched as the kid became a strange creature before lunging at the nearest person and with a sickening crunch and splat, bit right into the guy’s chest!
Well that unfroze everyone. The rest of the group scattered as a girl screamed before fleeing the scene as the guy hit the ground. Seeming more interested in chasing prey than finishing the meal it had, the creature would make a strange sound before moving to chase down the fleeing group. Horrified by what he just saw, Devi would stay where he was looking at the twitching corpse on the corner for a bit before more screams began to sound in the area. Probably from that thing no doubt. Perhaps they should move somewhere safer. Yeah…
Forcing himself to move again, Devi would leave the roof and head back down stairs. His intent was waking up B and Sinclair. It was time to get the hell on up out here before whatever that thing was came back...and who knows it may be looking for them!

Once Devi made to where B and Sinclair rested, he would find them already awake, writhing in their beds, clutching their heads in agony. Before he could voice any concern however, the same torment that must have plagued them overtook him as well. Darkness would creep over his vision as voices from across space and time forced their way into his head almost as if.... Something was reaching out to them...
“-is might be it… Yes, we have signal… This is it.”
“Hello everyone out there in radio land. We are coming to you live from the Masque of Red. I am your host this evening, Attendant Crowned 3D. Joining me again tonight is my lovely indentured servant, Attendant Dynasty. Be polite and say hello, sweety.”
The Man with a television for a head’s voice was undeniably excited… However the woman who sat on the console behind him seemed anything but enthused about the current situation. Lazily, she scratched at her screen with one of her six hands before, begrudgingly, saying, “Hello…”
“We are broadcasting to you with a very important message. You are now the property of the one true god above all Nyarlathot-t-t-t-t-t-t…..” The man, apparently named Crowned 3D, seemed to stammer for a moment before freezing up entirely, his screen going blank. Both he and his assistant seemed to seize up and go blank, even the dim red glow of the room died for a brief instant before switching back on and bathing those here in their combined light. “Forgive me, it seems we have a viewer calling in… Oh… Hm, Dynasty? Where are we broadcasting to?”
“Mm… Looks like Junction to me…” Dynasty fiddled with one of the nobs under her hands as she refused to acknowledge anyone else in the room.
“Junction… My my that changes things… Huhu, Yes that changes things a good deal.” Crowned 3D’s screen flashed several colors before settling on displaying a single word. Him.Crowned 3D chuckled slightly and lifted a single finger to point to the group that had been brought here “As I was saying, you are now the possessions of the My Lord. I do not know why you have chosen to come to Permanence, but I choose not to question such fortunate events. You will take Junction for our lord, you will use it to take all lands in his name… But that comes later, first you must rid us of an unfortunate entity that calls it his home… Both ‘He’ and ‘the Traveler’ must be removed from Junction before we can begin broadcasting. The show will begin shortly, children. I expect great things from you all…. Please, come back any time.”
“What he said...” Dynasty would mutter indifferently afterwards.
Slowly the man and his assistant would fade from view, his distorted laugh echoing as naught but red took over the visions of those who came here… In the distance you hear the glorious screams…
---
The darkness receded from their vision, the pain left behind by the visions replaced with a calm serenity. Almost a power that was greater then the triplets had ever felt before. Before they could fully react to what had just happened however... Should they choose to take note of it, they would find a small, dust covered book in the center of their room that surely had not been there before...
However, much more pressing matters were at hand... A loud bang fallowed by a sickening crack would be heard from the lobby of the theater. Something just broke in...

He would make it to the hall where the bedroom rested and even managed to get into the large room where the three of them typically slept; however, as he entered the room paler than usual, the scene would only get stranger as he found his friends awake and seemingly suffering from intense headaches? What the hell was happening? He wanted to ask. Wanted to go them and try to help, but that when the pain happened to him too. It was an intense pain that brought the demon to his knees and make him forget about what he had seen for a few moments as his vision blurred as something forced its way into his mind.
He remember static and then seeing some strange folk with TV screens for heads. They were telling them about some place called the Masque of Red. Saying they belonged to some form of god or ruler now and that was followed with more mumbo jumbo he didn't quite get. What the hell were they talking about and who were these folk that were in their head? He wanted them out. Wanted them to shut up and the pain to go away and then just when he thought that he could take no more there was a brief moment of calm when he saw it just for a second - a pair of pure white eyes and a fangy grin.
"Hello poppet. It's been a while hasn't?"
That voice. No...it could not be. Could not!
The demon closed his eyes tighter shaking his trying to make it all go away make the nightmare and then...
It stopped.
Shaking a bit from it all, the demon would lower his hand to the ground as he remained on his hands and knees for a bit, his tail swaying a bit as he looked up at the other two who look equally disturbed as they moved to sit on the edge of the beds. What was that? The demon wasn’t to sure as he pushed himself into a sitting position.
“Ya’ll okay?” he asked his voice shakier than normal. “I-I think so…” B would respond in a scared voice. “Yeah…” Sinclair responded quietly as he rubbed his head.
It was all so weird and only got weirder as the smaller demon took note of a strange book in the middle of the room. Eh? When had that gotten there? Getting to his feet, he would drift over to the book and pick it up just as a loud crashing sound came from somewhere in the front of the theater. What the fuck….?
The smaller demon would tuck the book under his arm as Sinclair rolled out of bed and headed to close the door. As he did that, Devi was motioning for B to go up the ladder to the loft. Nodding she knew what to do as she hurried out of bed and up the ladder. Once Sinclair had barred the door he would follow as the smaller demon watched the door before following last. They would wait up here for now to see if the thing came in or not, but until it did…
The smaller demon would hold the book in both hands before out of curiosity he would open it...
Curiosity killed the cat you know? But no one ever learns from those words.:

Journal 86 has been found...
As the trio read the dusty old journal, a sudden sharp pounding would draw their attention away from the book... The door to their room creaked with every blow, threatening to splinter at any moment. By the time the soul entry in the journal had been read, the door burst apart, sending dust and debris all around the room. Before the dust could settle and the room clear, a figure entered, plainly visible to the demons.
"KKKKKKKI"
It was unclear whether or not the beast knew they were there... As it stood they had a few options...

They would read the book alright, the smaller demon in the middle frowning a bit as he tried to understand what he had just read. Perhaps he would’ve asked the other two about it, if the fucking door wasn’t torn down that is. As the door crashed in, sending wood, dust, and debris everywhere below, the demons would back further away into the darkness trying to stay hidden and quiet as they eyed the thing below. They honestly didn’t want to fight that thing. They wanted out, but how to get out? They couldn’t get around it since it was in front of the only entry/exit point in the room and hiding while nice was not an option either because yeah you see it had no eyes, but that probably meant its other senses made up for that. Not to mention that damn tongue it had. No it was bound to find them and shred them in the end, so that left only one option.
Holding the book tightly to his chest, the smaller demon’s mind would whirl as everything in him screamed not to fight and to find another option, but there were none. They had to fight, but that would mean….The smaller demon looked at the creature below again and then back at the other two. Both of them wore expressions of worry and dread that probably mirrored his own. They knew what had to be done...
[center]It’s okay. We’ll be fine.
The demon caught the words mouthed by B and bit his lip as he looked over at Sinclair who gave him a nod confirming there was no other choice. Looking down at the ground with a pain look, the smaller demon’s shoulders would slump in defeat as he did the one thing he hoped to never have to do again. He gave into the darkness that was once more awake within. As soon as he did, the ink would quietly surround the others swallowing them whole before pulling towards him and consuming him too. Trapped and alone in a dark prison, the demon would watch as the darkness there gave him a grin before disappearing. The trade had been made.
In reality, the ink puddle the demons had faded into would quietly reform itself into a different creature that would open its dark colored eyes before quietly walking over to the edge of the loft and looking down at the enemy. Well it was time to see if the creature actually noticed all that or if he had the advantage.
[center]
Giving a grin of delight, the demon would let himself drop off the loft in and towards the enemy in an attempt to surprise it with an attack before it did something. Question was would it work?
"Run? "*chuckles darkly and gives you a grin* "I think not.":

The beast's tongue lashed out at where the group was but a moment ago, only to crash through the wall on the other side. The demons had managed to avoid the fist assault, however the battle was just beginning.
The creature would drop like a rock, the tongue of the creature lashing the air inches from it before slamming into the wall and causing it to collapse. It was certainly a pain in the ass wasn’t it? Breaking shit and all. Did it realize how much work was going to be needed to repair the theater now? How very rude. [color:8a1c=#ff0000]Well time to teach it manners. This was the only thought that filtered into the creature’s head as it hit the ground translating the impact into power that would shoot out towards the enemy in an attempt to hit it with an earthy blow.

Demix would see his own blow miss, the usual grin crumpling for a second. It was such a nice dive too. So sad to not see it do destruction. And oh? What was this? The creature had fire magic? Well it certainly took aim yes, but did it hit? Hehe. Nope. The ink demon would drift right on out of the way in an elegant fashion as the ball of heat went pass harmlessly enough. The demon would chuckle at the creature as a gloved hand moved up to his mouth, but was not enough to cover the fangy grin it gave. “It looks like we missed the cues in the scripts that was suppose to start a fight. Shall we try this again love?” The demon would say as if it was just speaking to a normal actor during rehearsal. With that being said, the demon would retry its original attack. Hopefully this time it would hit.

“Hehe. Ouch,” the demon would say his grin growing wider with the pain. Was he enjoying it? It was hard to say as he spread his torn and broken wings a bit as he moved forward, trying to lay his claws into the creature before him.

The demon was smacked by the fire his grin widening into one of unstableness. “You know I really hate it when goddess fucks with me and favors another,” the demon would chuckle darkly at the creature before moving in once more to make his attack.
