Appearance:Mingqin is a woman with short dark brown hair and a bright purple eye. Her skin is a pale. Standing at a hight of five feet, five inches. Her right eye is always covered by an eye patch of sorts because her sight was taken away because of an unfortunate ‘accident.’ She is blind in that eye and without the patch one would see an eye that seems to be ‘uncolored’ for it is just a shade of gray. Her eye cover has the picture of a blue songbird to represent her name as well as her business ranking. She will always be seen in traditional Chinese clothing to respect her homeland and her family, even if the clothes show more than she would like, it is out of respect. Her left hand is always covered by a white glove which was a sign of her family’s business.
Appereance:
Personality: Mingqin, a strong, manipulative, and organized woman. Almost never running from a fight, she will fight till the final end, even if she was going to die, she would not back down. Her goals are too important to her for her to just throw them away with one downfall. Her own goals must be accomplished, death was not an option. But she did not fear death, it was bound to happen anyways, life has to come to an end to start a new beginning. If she was ever to get ‘teammates,’ they would only be pawns to push towards her new goals. Not until she got close to them was there a slight chance she would grow a liking to them, if she truly does like them, that is when she would care for them. Until then they are just people she is forced to talk with. Almost never missing anything important to her, she is always on time to every event. It doesn’t matter the event if she made a promise to meet someone somewhere, she would go out of respect to keep her family image clean.
Towards people she dislikes and or does not have any true interest in said person, she will most likely ignore them. Usually these people are pathetic; they do not even challenge or measure up to her intelligence and probably don’t live up to her standards. Her standards are simple; you must not be idiotic, you must be tolerable, and most of all, you must be self-sufficient. If anyone lacks one of those standards, it is destined she will not give them the time of day. Anger, anger is an emotion she is not unaccustomed to. If someone were to piss her off, she would probably sabotage them and or plan their downfall secretly. Alas, to keep her family pride, Mingqin will not blow up in someone’s face. She refrains from showing anger because it is a weakness, when you are angry it clouds your thought, so secretly planning their deat- failure would be a better route. The Heise group’s image is important to her, although her goals top all other things. The family business did change her. If someone was to meet her before, they would notice that she was not the same person, now she is businesslike, she is rarely seen smiling or laughing, and she doesn’t mess around.
The Potential
Strengths:
—Strength Name: “Family status is a gift” —Description: Being the next generation of the Heise group, Mingqin has a high ranking in the family business and gets a lot of publicity for it. It would be unheard for someone not to catch wind of her family’s discoveries and about her also. Her social ranking means she has friends in high places.
—Strength Name: “My intellect is far beyond your abilities —Description: Graduating the academy with all A’s, plus her studies with her seven tutors, Mingqin has an intelligence level way over someone her age. Although she did want to continue to collage, her family business forced her to stay home and take control of it.
—Strength Name: “You don’t own me” —Description: Taking charge of things, Mingqin doesn’t let herself get pushed around. No one can tell her what to do, the closest thing you can do is persuade her but even then there’s a slight chance that will work. She is not one to be ‘leaded’ through things, she will decide her on her own what to do.
—Strength Name: “You can’t push me around” —Description: Mingqin isn’t the type to be ‘pushed around,’ if anyone tried to beat around the bush she would make sure that her revenge. Just like no one tells her what to do, no one can beat on her and expect to get away with it.
—Strength Name: “Pawns, that is all you are” —Description: Her use of people does help her get though situations, using people does somewhat help her. She can get though situations by using people who think she cares to protect her and she might get them to fight for her.
Weaknesses:
—Weakness Name: “Only one eye to rule all” —Description: It was when she was about twelve, an African American man had defiled her small home in the close-knit city of Nokawia. He raided their home clean, and was about to leave with his sly grin that he had successfully stole from a house of someone wealthy. But his parade quickly ended when the entire family came home from a trip from the bay. The man placed them all in different rooms but went to Mingqin first. He did attempt sexual contact but she slapped him away, he pulled a knife and in a short struggle they went though, he ended up slashing her cornea, which now renders her right eye useless.
—Weakness Name: “Will this ruin our family pride?” —Description: Mingqin does not speak her mind when family pride is involved. She would do anything to protect her family image because of their treacherous past they don’t need another thing to stir the empty pot, keeping her tongue for her family’s sake.
—Weakness Name: “Bad publicity” —Description: Although people knowing her is a blessing, it could also be a curse. The Heise group’s suspicious past is not forgotten for it’s hard to forget all the workers who went ‘missing’ or the random deaths caused by them. The group is trying to build their reputation up again but anything worse than that would be horrible for their image. For this Mingqin needs to be the best she can be and it also means people might just think of her as a murderess.
—Weakness Name: “This business is hell…” —Description: The family business ruined her plans of collage and her plans of a life past that. Instead of shooting for her dreams she is now collecting shadows with the staff. She isn’t able to do anything that doesn’t involve the Heise group now.
—Weakness Name:”Are you going to disown me now?” —Description: Mingqin’s family is very protective, although, the slightest thing could make them turn on their own daughter in a heartbeat. These slight things could be something like failing a task for the group or utterly destroying their reputation. Disownment doesn’t scare her as much but she would be kicked out of the business if she was to be disowned which wouldn’t be good in her eyes.

The Background
History: At birth, she was born with her twin brother, Gonglu Heise, although the two were very different. She was a female, he was a male. Males were respected more in china where the family came from. So Mingqin was already at birth, made into nothing, she was considered a disgrace and was put lower of her brother. Although in reality, she was disowned, but to the public, she was ‘loved’ by her family and was a perfect child. They used her and her brother for publicity to bring down the bad name of the Heise group. Along the line her family did get over the fact that she was female although it took two years, it still happened. After that, her family life seemed perfect. They lived happily in the city of Nokawia in a moderately sized house. At the age of three, her little sister Moonari was born.
It wasn’t till she had turned ten that things got worse for the family. The family business was in danger of closing down; they had been losing money recently due to low production rate. But they did pull through, somehow they had escaped debt. It had been a half a year since the Heise group had joined forces with the Tsurinai group. Her family’s organization had been collecting shadows for two generations before her and since the Tsurinai organization had been studying the ‘supernatural’ the Heise group shipped shadows to the other for further research. The group had almost perfected the art of capturing and holding shadows. They forced all their workers to awaken to personas, in case the shadows ever broke out. There are also men on their force that go out and capture escaped shadows and contains them. The mysterious deaths were caused by these actions. The summoning of a persona that all the workers used was forced so there for some of them had unfortunate accidents.
It was when she was twelve, a man had broken into their home, and he cleaned their house out. Too bad the family came home a little too early than expected. So he separated the family. Going to Mingqin first, he attempted to have sexual relations with her because she was young but not too young. But of course she fought back. He pulled a knife and slashed at her, all that was hit was her cornea. This forever damaged her eye. After being slashed, she cried out in pain, her father ran with his katana, he scared the man away but soon after they moved out of there and into the building that her father’s business was in.
When they had paired up with the Tsurinai group, her father had frequently chatted with the man who ‘ran’ the business. Mingqin got to meet his son a few times and sort of got to know him but he mysteriously moved away. But that was when she was 13, she was now 19, she had changed a lot. Taking over the family business soon, her father was destined to die, since she was now 19, she would have to force her ‘persona’ out of her with the Heise group’s special evokers, as well did her brother. Mingqin calculated that only one twin would survive, but that was for future reference. She would have to be forced to awaken soon, but for now, she would carry on her ‘normal’ life.
