| Subject: Just a day like any other (Plot Kick Off) Wed Aug 02, 2017 10:01 pm | |
| The Following Events are a work of fiction.
Any relations depicted henceforth to any person or persons living or dead, locations, or times is purely the work of the imaginations of those who control this fiction.
You are the storyteller.
And this is your story.
However, it is just that, a story.
Remember, these events are not truly taking place.
These characters do not exist and never will.
Your actions have no consequences.
So please… Have fun.... ”Attention Citizens of Junction…. Good morning! It is now standard time, 6:50, it is now time to begin Daylight hours. I do hope you all have a very nice day.” ”A friendly reminder from Toha Heavy Industries to start your day! The annual Festival of the Jump is in only seven standard day night cycles! Please plan to attend the grandiose party in Top Ward! I hope to see you all there as we bid the world of Abara a fond farewell and continue on our journey through the multiverse! This concludes general announcements, please connect to your private or a public CWIS terminal so I can tell you about what’s important to you.” As the last of the morning announcements died out, Junction grew silent and still. The ambient light from the above towers signaled the day, and soon the citizens of Junction would set about beginning their days. Today would be like any other in the city’s great history. The citizens of this city would wake, go to work, come home, and prepare to repeat the process tomorrow. Junction is a city, much like any other. The fact that it happens to slip through space and time to appear and reappear across the multiverse on alien world after alien world is fully beyond the point. In seven days, Junction would leave the world of Abara, never to return. Those who chose to stay on Junction will never see the blue sandy beaches or beautiful ruby red skies of Abara again. Those who chose to leave Junction and settle on Abara will never again know another world. Those left behind will never know the truth of Junction or it’s destination, never know the worlds that are to be settled and never know the expanse that is existence. To those leaving Abara behind, as they had more worlds than there are stars in the night sky, a question once again arises. It is a question that every citizen of Junction has asked at least once, from the bottom most dweller of the Slums to the men and women that call the Skies home. What would happen to Abara after they leave. Most likely it would continue on as it always had. It’s people living their lives and going about their days… However, who is to say it will even exist once Junction leaves. Who is to say anything exists when you do not observe it. You are a mind, a soul trapped within flesh or steel. You must trust what your body tells you to be true… That the world is real and that you are observing it. That the world around you is still there when you close your eyes. That your home is still waiting for you However… this thought is fleeting, truly it does not matter. For whether the world of Abara will be there in seven days matters little to the city, for it will not be. Soon Junction will bid this old world goodbye and call a new world home, as it has for Eons. This is nothing new, these last seven days in Abara will be the same as the first seven, and the same as the last seven in the previous world, and the world before that, and the world before that, onwards into infinitum... However, today is a little bit different…. Today you’re here, and as much as I would rather it not come to this…It seems we’re stuck together for a while. You have a bit of time before the jump. Take some of it and get settled...””Well… Get on with it..." (This is the official kick off of the Junction Side Plot. For the next 7 days you will have free reign of Junction in order to SL and get started forming bonds to help you for the rest of the plot. After those 7 days have elapsed the first event of the Junction plot "The Festival of the Jump" will commence. Until then you are free to SL, do work threads (You are allowed one per week, so in theory you could do two before the festival starts), talk to NPC and maybe, if you play your cards right, catch a glimpse of the Under... Thought that would probably not be in your best interest... I hope you have fun and message me here or on the discord if you have any questions!) | |
