The light flashed and the crown began to cheer while the theme song of the show "King of the Hill" played. It wasn't exactly a high class show, Athena could tell just by feeling the leather on her chair that the studio had spared some expenses not to mention the host was some aspiring idol, much like Athena was before she became a cadet. Was he a promising investment? Athena couldn't tell for sure but her manager insisted that he had made several successful interviews and that it would be good for two underdogs to appear together just so the media could push the "New Generation Stars". Ed Bilski, the host, was commonly known as "the King of the Hill guy" probably relished the idea of interviewing a cadet, if he manage to break Athena then he would ensure a career for life and that's the reason the young model wasn't going to let her guard down for even a moment.

"Welcome ladies and gentlemen to another episode of "King of the Hill". Today we have the pleasure to have with us Athena Griva, please give her a warm welcome!"

The crown didn't seem to think for a moment before they started clapping and cheering. Athena could realize it wasn't her own popularity but the personal magnetism of Ed that caused such a warm reaction.

"So Athena, you have recently been cast as Mana in Bleeding Roots. The new season premiers tomorrow night what can you tell us about your role?"

Ed asked Athena as he sat in his chair crossing his leg. It was a simple question and technically the reason she was invited to the show though the cadet doubted that he was going to stick at questions about her career.

"Thank you Ed, it's good to be here. I'm not sure where I can begin describing Mana. Those who have read the books know that she's a complex character who tries to maintain her kindness and love in a world of betrayals and wickedness. I like to think her as a flower surviving in the desert... she's forced to change and it's really interesting to see how the writers develop her character. I can say I'm very proud I was given the opportunity to portray her and it was a great privilege to work with so experienced actors like Tetsuo and Tenri."

"I see. Do you feel like you have things in common with Mana?"

"I don't know if I could say that we have much in common and that's why this role has been so interesting for me.
It felt like experiencing someone else's life and point of view. In a way it helped me understand people like her more."

"That's an interesting statement. So if you don't believe Mana is your "spirit animal" which character from the show reminds you of yourself the most?"

"Oh I'm definitely a Chou. I believe she is a very strong and admirable character. It's not often you see idealistic characters not portrait as paragons or fools. It's very interesting watching her trying to maintain her beliefs and honor in the word of Bleeding Roots, I also admire how her flaws are shown though the story, in fact I believe the shows popularity is due to it's realistic characters."
